Alan ignored the savages who walked by despite his surprise that the guard seemed to think they were nobles. After Miledy mounted up he took off.

Matthias began studying his nails as General Fabis read the report on his actions. Even in the completley neutral language of the report, Matthias sounded good. Helped secure the retreat of the Santaruz peoples, aided his lord in a raid on a bandit base, fought off bandits in a village... he didn't even wonder where they got the information. Finally, General Fabis quit reading and looked directly at the archer. Matthias quit studying his nails long enough to meet the gaze.
"You ran off without orders, abandoned your lord leaving him to return all on his own, fought in a conflict which did not represent Ostia's best interests, and you fail to get yourself presentable to a meeting. All in all, you seem to be quite the failure as a vassal. In fact, I bet that your part of the conspiracy. Men, seize him!" the general jabbed a finger at the archer. Before Matthias could even process the information, he found himself in the arms of the guards.
"Take this fool to the dungeon! He'll be executed as a traitor!" thundered the General.
"What the hell?" Matthias blurted. "A traitor? More like hero, you sonnuva..." A guard slammed the butt of his spear into Matthias, cutting him short. He continued shouting obscenities as he was dragged towards the dungeons.

OoC: Since Kenshin doesn't seem to react at all...
After Albel left his horse at the stable, Matis, Kenshin and him headed directly to the Throne Room, looking for a meeting with Sain.
On their way, the crossed paths with the unfortunate archer, Matthias.
"Stop ! Where are you taking him ?" Kenshin said, seeing the archer being dragged against his will by the guards.
"To the dungeon. He is a traitor." The guard answered unemotionally.
"Free him. Now." Matis ordered, taking out his blade and threatening the guard's throat. Out of fear, they let Matthias go, and run back into the Throne Room.
It worked, but the results were not really good...

Matthias, still shocked, followed them into the Throne Room.
"Where's Sain ?" Matis said, seeing someone else sitting on the throne, with the guards next to him.
"Lord Sain is attending other matters. During his absence, as the highest rank in the army, I'm in charge. Who are you and what do you want ?"
A long conversation took place, where everyone introduced themselves. General Fabis, seeing that Matthias was with them, asked:
"Why did you release this scumbag ? He's a traitor ! He..."
"What did he do ?"
"He left Lord Sain to return to Ostia on his own, and fought to save Santaruz' from a bandit attack."
"I see...But Ostia and Santaruz are allies, so that is out of the question. If Lord Calis asked him to help him, and Lord Sain wasn't there to give orders, he did the right thing to help."
"But he left Lord Sain alone !"
"That probably happened after our assault at the bandits' base. In any case, it wasn't his fault, but ours. We couldn't reunite until recently."

After Calis had snuck out of the infirmary, with his arm still bandaged up from the burns, he limped his way to the Throne Room to seek an audience with whoever was running Ostia at the moment and maybe find out of the condition of the other lords that he had first set out to meet here. He walked in and saw the other lords already speaking with the general. "Its nice to see you guys here. Where is Sain, is he not the Marquess of Ostia?"

Alexia watched Calis sneak out of the infirmary, and was thankful that she was one of the few to notice him leaving. She quickly followed him, wondering what had made him leave so quickly in his condition.

Matthias just stood there, a little overwhelmed, and not altogether happy with being drug everywhere. The first thing he did when he got himself back together was take stock of who was there. He recognized Kenshin and Matis, as he'd met them previously, though he hadn't seen either in some time. The guy they were with, he was a complete stranger. He noticed Calis sneak in, and could just make out Alexia hanging out near the entrance. Finally, he turned his gaze towards General Fabis. The general looked pissed.
"Lord Calis, please forgive these ruffians, I have no idea who they are and where they think they're getting the authority to meddle in Ostian affairs. As for Lord Sain, he is currently detained for the moment, I am acting in a leadership role. You and your people are welcome to stay here. Guards!" he quickly summoned the guards. "I have no idea what these Saceans think they're doing, but they are obviously not of noble birth. Take those four (Kenshin, Matis, Matthias, and Albel) to the dungeon."
The guards looked nervously at Fabis, and then looked at the four they were supposed to be escorted. Lords or not, they looked heavily armed, and had some combat experience. Not to mention the fact that they had some connection to Lord Calis, who was definately a lord. They moved towards the Saceans and Matthias, weapons at the ready. none of them looked comfortable with the advance.
"Uh... sirs... you.. uh... need to come with us," a brave individual managed to choke out. Fabis smiled at Calis, trying to off play the incident.
Matthias blinked a few times, and glanced over at Matis, who had taken a leadership role. He'd wait for the lords to move, then, he'd take his action.

"Fair enough. I'm sure Calis can tell Fabis why are we here." Matis said, sheathing the Mani Katti.
He then glanced at the guard that had talked to them.
"You, lead the way to the dungeon."
The guard did as told without hesitating, and started walking out of the throne room. Matis followed him, and didn't even look back to see if the rest were following.

"Matis, wait." Calis thought to himself as what to tell Fabis so that he would not imprison anybody. He wasnt sure if he should tell him who they really were since there was no proof to prove such thing. So he just said the first thing that came to mind that would leave them without argument or much discussion.
"These men are generals of Santaruz. The reason they arrived late was that they had went to save a group of people that had been stranded back in Santaruz." "Is that so? Very well then, but Matthias is still a traitor and shall be sent to the dungeon." "Is that what you decide without first consulting your lord. How do you think he would act if he found out you put his most trusted vessal to death..Hmm?"

"Me from Santaruz? That's nowhere from true, our outfits says differnt Calis." Kenshin drew the slim sword Matis had given him and pointed it at Fabis, then five guards raised their lances at Kenshin. "If anybody is a traitor it's you. You punish somebody who lends their strenght to an ally. If Sain was here he would not be to happy. I challenge you to a fight, one on one in the court yard in an hour." "So that Sacaen scum has a tounge. Fine I accecpt your challgen, till then lock them all in the dungen. Kenshin put his sword away. "Fine but I'm keeping my sword till then."

When Kenshin issured his challenge, Calis spoke. "I thought ill give it a shot. Kind of wanted to avoid a confortation like this." After hearing Fabis order to put them in the dungeon, Calis spoke again.
"I dont see the point in that. You are just going to take them out in an hour. Just send them to the courtyard now or are you trying to wear him down some how by placing him in the dungeon?" "Last I checked, I was ruling Ostia, Not you! You should be happy im allowing Santaruz access to our supplies." "Supplies? They are out in the field and have barely recieaved food from here." Calis then decided not to say anything else, since he might make Fabis mad and not allow the Santaruz refugges to the little supplies they were getting. "Actually, nevermind. I thank you and Ostia for their hospitality." Calis turned to head out. "I'll see you in the courtyard when the time comes." He left the room to only get lectured by the nurses that were mad at him for leaving the infirmary.

"So be it, then." Matis had stopped hearing Calis' and Kenshin's reaction.
He continued to walk following the lead of the guard. He showed them their cells, and locked them all in different ones.
Half an hour had passed, and no one had nothing to do. Kenshin practised some moves with his sword, Matthias was just sitting on the ground, Albel was sort of sad. He followed us, and was trapped in a cell thanks to our faults. Matis was just cleaning his sword, and testing out it's sharpness with a bar of iron that was dropped on the ground.
The Mani Katti could cut the piece of iron in two with minimal efforts. That would surely be useful in battle. He'd be able to take down armored knights without many problems.

"Hey Matis, I've been thinking. He wears armor and has a lance, with my slim sword I'm at a great disadvantage. Do you think I could borrow your sword for that duel?"

"I guess you could try...I found this sword at a big temple in the Sacae plains that I hadnever seen before. When Jaffer and Rath tried to enter, the guardians at the entrance didn't let them. I could enter without any problem. I don't know if you'll be able to use it or not."
"But, as I said, you could try to."
Matis sheathed the Mani Katti, and threw it at Kenshin.

After the nurses had led Calis back to the infirmary and the big lecture they throw at him, he summoned Yeo to his room who had almost healed completly. "You called milord." "Where is the Reginlief?" "Ill bring it to you." Yeo left the infirmary and appeared several minutes later holding the lance. "Here milord." Yeo handed the lance to Calis's left hand but Calis took it with his right. "Milord, wait. You are severely burned." "It doesnt matter. My arm is always in pain." "Yes. I know of the condition within your arm." "Speak no more and bring me my cloths." Yeo did as told and left the infirmary once again. Calis unbandage his arm and looked at how his arm had changed. He knew his arm would never heal completely so he would now have to keep it covered. Yeo walked in carrying Calis's normal cloths. "Milord, you shouldnt take those off!" Calis grabbed the cloths and started to make adjustments.
