'Not many bandits in Ostia these days. Not since the invasion.' Zeiss said half lost in thought. 'Off course trouble is probably starting up again by now, their current ruler hasn't checked in lately.'

After a few more hours of travelling they finally reached a little village. The weather had changed. There was a heavy wind, and dark clouds came rolling in. It already started raining. Crowley looked at the sky.
"I think we should stay here. It's just a small village, I don't think there will be any trouble. And look, there an inn. Hehehe." He smiled and without waiting for the others he had already entered the inn after putting his horse in the stable.
(OOC: Also, the Herald is in DELFIA, but I'll give you more info later.)

In a much less enthusiastic manner, Zeiss also put his horse in the stable and entered the inn. It's probably be okay but I'll try to keep Crowley's story telling to a minimum, just to be prudent.

Tobias sighed when he saw that they were entering the inn. I would rather spend the night outside, he thought. People always want to know what we're doing. Still, he didn't say anything since it was obvious that the others, especially Crowley, would prefer the inn. He stabled his horse and walked through the door. He immediately went to the table in the corner where nobody could get behind him.

Wylie allowed himself a relieved smile, and even a laugh, at the mention of the inn. It had been so long since his last drink, and just as long since he'd slept in a proper bed. It promised to be a good night, even if they couldn't live up the legend they'd created.
"Hey remember, Crow," he said after entering, "We're incognito."
He then approached the bar. The barman gave him a how-do-I-know-you look, before deciding it was a passing impression. "Four drinks, sir," Wylie said, laying some coins on the bar. He then carried these drinks to the table Tobias had selected, and distributed them.
"Cheers," he said, raising his mug.

"Oh, this most excellent, Wylie. Most excellent." Crowley grinned and lifted the mug to his lips. The taste of beer. It was a watery beer, but Crowley loved it. He quickly emptied his mug and yelled at the bartender for more. He ordered another round for the four adventurers. Zeiss had barely touched his pint and Wylie had only taken a sip. Tobias seemed to be rather out of place. It almost seemed that he didn't like being in an inn. But Crowley quickly dismissed the thought. How could you NOT like an inn. Ha! Ridiculous! Crowley then swiftly inspected the tavern. It seemed all right, not too many questionable types. And the ride to Etruria had been a breeze. Only a few days and they would reach Delfia. There their mission would really start. Crowley was happy, it seemed that they, the newlings, were taking care of business that was important for the other hero-hunters as well. Crowley still was a bit afraid, though. He feared bounty hunters, they knew no mercy. But, for this night, there was beer. So all would be well.
Except that he needed to say incognito. Ah well, he could handle that. No?

Tobias looked at the beer with disgust. He didn't see any reason for alcohol. It made people stupid and didn't help in any other way either. He didn't even like how beer tasted. But, since it would seem suspicious not to, he drank it anyways. His mismatched eyes darted around the room, looking to see if anybody seemed likely to be a bounty hunter. He didn't notice anybody, and relaxed slightly. He drained the mug and set it on the table. His disconcerting gaze drifted around, not really expecting anything but always ready.

Wylie felt comfortable in the inn. The nice, solid walls and thick roof that kept the heat in. The constant chatter and occasional singing. It was a merry place. Still, Wylie felt like he needed to keep his wits about him. They were close to Delfia now. Who knew how many sets of eyes this Herald had?
He drank slowly, and let himself sink into his chair. "Anyone got any cards?" he asked.

Crowley reached into his bag and pulled out some cards.
"Okay. This'll be a lonely, boring, sober evening. I'm not used to that. Dammit." He quickly emptied his mug. He didn't mean the sober part. He then started dealing cards. He hoped the others could play cards as well.

Zeiss took his cards and stopped touching his 3/4 full glass entirely. Might as well be serious about. 'Alright then, what're we playing.'

Wylie just finished his first drink, and signalled the barman who brought another round.
"How about poker?" Wylie suggested. "If you've been around Lycia you'd know the game." Wylie then leaned forward so that only his companions could hear him.
"That barman keeps looking at us, like he might know us or he might not. Do you think there could be trouble?"

'Well from a barman's perspective it's only natural, as long as we travel with Usha here we're seen as bad news and the way you're drinking he could make good money on us.' Zeiss said thoughtfully. 'On the other hand barman make for a good position for spies in the world of today.'

Crowley grunted. He didn't really care. From his experience, barmtenders were the most reliable men ever. As long as you drank enough.
A few hours later he was completely smashed. Wylie had to stop him from climbing on the table and telling his story. Normally he was the cheery, heroic Crowley The Magnificent, now he was just an ordinary drunk. He didn't like that.
But at least they wouldn't get followed by angry men.

Tobias groaned and put his head in his hands. He wasn't at all drunk, but he was embarrassed to be seen with these people, especially Crowley. He lifted his head and continued scanning the crowd; someone had to be paying attention.

Wylie, only slightly intoxicated, was getting tired. He was glad they'd been able to stay unnoticed thoughout the night, especially after Crow's attempt at living the legend, humourous though it was.
"Hey guys," Wylie began, throwing down his cards. "I'm going to bed. G'night all." He threw down a few more coins on the bar and received some room keys. Huh, he thought. This feels wierd, sleeping in a pub without a girl.
