OoC: okay, I got distracted by the shiny new avatars... and now I feel bad...
Matthias noticed alan and Marcus charging, and glanced over at Matis. He hadn't heard anything official regarding attack, but things seemed to be going anyway. Sighing, he slinked off, trying to hide within the surrounding foilage (i.e. hop from cover to cover), as he approached the castle. Hopefully no one would be killed.

"Haku, now is the time for action. We can save the introductions for later!" with that said, Alexia kicked Fleetfoot into action. She rememberd that Matis had wanted them to stay together, as to be a middle driving force. Knowing this, she made certain to align her charge with Alan's, while keeping Matthias in sight. She also made note of Marcus charging into battle, with a frightened myrmidon on his horse. Finally, she readied her lance for battle, squinting at the disorganized gaggle of bandits guarding the gate.

While the petrols outside were caught by suprise the bandits inside the courtyard had no news of trouble until the Gate started opening up on them. 'THERE! Enemy on the wall!' A bandits threw a handaxe at my and missed only by an inch. 'Uh-oh, gotta hustle.' After the gate was opened wide enough I started fighting. I took out two bandits with some help of Grimbold and then fled.

Matthias had ducked into the trees when he remembered Alan's warning. Apparently, everyone riding a horse was just going to ignore him. Oh well, Matthias settled himself in some foilage, letting his green cloak blend in. He'd just lay in wait until Alan opened the gate, he had faith in the rider, after all, they had fought together.

OoC: YAY for simoultaneos postings!
Matthias heard the ruckus, and could just make out the sounds of the gate being moved over the clash of battle. He edged around the tree to get a better look. Alan had moved quickly, getting the gate open so fast. However, the archer knew that the rider's lance wouldn't avail him much against all the axe-wielders (FE Weapon triangle, sorry Alan). Cursing, he looked around for Matis, hoping for an official order to start attacking. He knew better than to try and assault without enough cover. He needed the swordsmen to keep the axe-wielders busy, assuming he didn't want to become pureed.

Having charged in with the rest of the cavalry, Alexia met with the enemy much sooner than she'd anticipated. Her lance darted in and out, taking out as many mercenaries as she could target. She could see some of her fellow riders falling before axewielders, and cursed the ill luck. A handaxe connected with her leg, pinning it to the flank of her horse. She wasted no time in plucked the offending weapon out, and continued charging. Somehow she remembered that she was supposed to be part of the center charge. Desperate, she began trying to cleave a path to the others, praying they started the assault soon.

Matis fastly nodded at everyone. Alan had reacted rashly, and hadn't given the lord the time to signal the attack. The party had started.
With the blink of an eye, Matis saw an arrow coming at him. Making a wild horizontal spin, he evaded the arrow, cutting it in two with the Mani Katti. Upon landing, he rushed up to a group of nearby axe-users. Three, to be exact. Just the advantage he needed. He had especifically told everyone before coming to try and attack those that were easy for them to defeat. Sword users would have an easy time against slow axe users, while those wearing a lance, like Alexia, would be able to outrange those with short axes.
Blocking an axe with his sword, Matis made one of the other axemen with his leg, impaling it with his blade. He spun around fast, cutting the second one in half. The Mani Katti proved once again to be awesomely sharp. Finally, making use of his enemy's weapon, he slashed at the last axe wielder.
"Move, fast!" he shouted, at the group. They would have to go through the middle of the city, while Marcus fought off all the guards and bandits on the sides.

Katara saw a man wielding the Manni Katti. She knew that this was the man her brother was with. He had to be close by. Before she could look, a bandit jumped in from of her!
"A little too young to be in a war, eh?" asked the bandit. "Young this! Kyaa!" Katara screamed as she slashed at the bandit's chest. "Thats what I thought you'd say." She said and the bandit fell limply. She moved on to follow the man.

Sokka was in the fray as much as anyone else. He was a bit in front of Matis, and he showed no mercy.
He slashed and jabbed with the speed of any borne fighter. His companions were doing good, probably better than him. He couldnt talk, there was no room for words in war.

I flew high above the battleground trying to find a place to land. Then something flew by me. 'dammit, they brought out Archers!' it was so. Many arrows were launced blindly int the dark sky felling friend and foe alike when they came down. At last one hit. '****, I can't hold him! C'mon, Frimbold don't fail on me now!' As I had no other option I tried to direct my crash to a nearby tower of the castle.

"Alan! Damn..." Matis kicked a bandit in the face, leaving him unconcious, as he hurried to take down the archers. His rage was growing. A comrade had been hit, and he didn't know whether or not he was still alive. Stupid archers...that's all he could think about. His blade shone in the dark night, filling nearby squares of the town with a blinding light. Only a second. Matis had blasted through every archer nearby, as they all fell to the ground at the same time, making a loud sound. Hopefully, if Alan and Grimbold were still right, flying wouldn't be a problem anymore.
Last time the Mani Katti shone like this, was when he stunned the bandits' leader, Hargus. He had felt the same rage back then. That seemed to trigger the blade's power.
