Alan was traveling at a very high speed forcing Lyndsey to grip tightly. They didn't have to travel far but every moment counted now.
(OoC: Lumino has a point, Santuraz won't withstand the attack. As too avoid massive Lyndsey-Alan-Lyndsey-Alan posts, Lyndsey should just knock Alan unconscious as soon as he lands and take off.)

OoC: You really think that Lyndsey could control your wyvern? It likes her, but she's not a wyvern knight... yet...
Lyndsey hated being helpless, which is exactly how she felt as she clung tightly to Alan. She had a feeling the wyvern would scoop her up if she fell, but she'd rather not test her feeling. She could see Santaruz castle up ahead, and the place seemed familiar. At any rate, there should be a mount for her there, and she could attempt another escape. Hopefully Alan wouldn't kill her when he caught her next time.

Alan landed in the middle of the courtyard. 'Welcome back, Sir Alan!' A guard said observing his entree. 'I haven't come for pleastries. I need to confer with Lord Yeo ASAP. Tend to my wyvern.' He knew that they wyvern stables were empty... Flyssa had seen to that. With Lyndsey in stow he marched into the castle.
Even in this state of emergency Alan was happy to be back here it being the only place where he was welcomed... or at least there wasn't a price on his head.

Lyndsey fell in behind Alan, trying her best to ignore the sneers and glares the people were giving her. They made certain she felt as unwelcome as possible. She had managed to catch sight of pegasus stables, which gave her some hope. At least she'd be able to get her own mount now.
The two made good time, thanks to Alan's quick walk, and they would soon reach the audience chamber at this rate.

Yeo's expression grimmed at the sight of the two walking in. An old friend of Alan and the trusted servent of late Lord Calis. He had been saved numerous times by the group and had aided their case any way he can. Beside trusting them had also learned something else. They don't do social visits.
'Bern is coming here, they plan to attack Santuraz.' Alan said coming to the point. Yeo wasn't suprised. 'I guess it hadbeen coming a while now, can we ward of the attack?'
Alan hesitated, but resolved to tell the truth. 'Probably not, but Kenshin plans to stand our ground anyway. Several of my friends (Alan twitched at the memory of the way they parted) are stationed at the Sacean village. I don't think we can count on reinforcements from any place.'

Lyndsey carefully studied the ground in front of her. Yet when she heard Alan mention reinforcements, she perked up a bit. "We might be able to get some reinforcements.... if they're still alive," she said.

'Bern will probably be hitting both the Sacean village and the castle at the same time. And even they attack earlier or later they will be too tied up too help. Matis doesn't know about any of this. Alexia might have been able to convince the King of Etrutria to send reinforcements but in light of what Lumino told, I doubt it. We're on our own.' Alan concluded.

"Remember that mercenary group we met on the Nabatan border? They're part of a fairly extensive group that guards the mountains," Lyndsey explained, shifting restlessly. "There's an outpost about a day's flight north of here." She located a map and pointed to Tuscana, and moved her finger a little north, stopping in the mountains. "They know me, and would probably be willing to help. If the others delay Bern at Minority long enough for the mercenaries to arrive, we might be able to hold out."

(The Sacean village is actually called "Minority"? Ha!)
Alan considered Lyndsey for a minute. If she betrays us again it will not only be the blow that kills us but all my fault. I'll be everything I always accused the others of being and more. On the other hand... Well, what? I can't trust her. That's when Alan knew. He did trust her. 'Alright, we need all the help we can get.'

(don't look at me, I didn't name it...)
"I'll need to get a pegasus," she looked over to Yeo, who nodded eagerly. He didn't know about her treachourous nature. But it wasn't her job to kill Alan and all of Santaruz. It was her job to kill Matis. She wasn't about to let the two get confused. She hurried out to the pegasus stables, picked out a mount, and got ready. She wasn't going to leave without Alan though. If they ran into trouble she'd need his help.

Alan walked into the stable and wearily got on his wyvern. 'You lead the way.'

Nodding to Alan, Lyndsey took off, heading in the right direction for once. She flew quickly, knowing full well that Alan could outfly her if need be.

Alan took off, and the sharp wind revived him a little. He stroked the head of his steed. 'Just one more battle, old friend. And then we can put on an end to this ridiculously long day.'

OoC: We're not really "racing" now, but I didn't want to make a new thread just for a short journey.
Part of Lyndsey really loved flying. She supposed that's why she became a pegasus knight. Or it might have something to do with every Ilian woman being forced to do a term of duty. She didn't care, she loved it. And what could be better than this? A casual flight through perfect weather with pleasurable company. She balked, almost jerking up the reins of her pegsus. Since when had Alan become "pleasurable company"? She must be losing it.

Alan had fallen back somewhat and was watching Lyndsey enjoy the flight. He used to love flying, and his steed used to be his closest friend. Lately, he merely appriciated the convienence of it. Still it was a good way as far as the weather went. He continued to look at Lyndsey, and prayed that her mercenary friendswouldn't **** things up.
