(OoC: Is Zeiss with us? I wasn't sure)
After the four of them had travelled for about an hour, Santaruz castle finally appeared in front of them. Wylie breathed an audible sigh of relief to see it again. It felt like the trip back had taken years.
Reaching the massive gates, Wylie went over to the gate guard. "Good afternoon. Would you please inform Marquess Yeo that Wylie and Crowley have returned," he said. Clearly they were expected as the soldier immediately nodded, gave a "yes sirs! follow me!" and rushed off.
They proceeded in the direction he had run off in and eventually found him holding the door open for them to Yeo's private courtyard. Here they found him talking with his head of military personnel. Seeing them and giving what appeared to be a relieved smile, he spoke to the general he was with. "Leave us."
Then, addressing the group, "Wylie, Crowley, Their companions. I trust my intelligence reports are accurate and I need not worry about Etrurian assassination now?"
"For the moment, Lord Yeo," Wylie responded. "The attempts stemmed from Victor, the Anima master of the academy. We... took care of him." Wylie winced at the memory of that encounter. It had been close for both of them.
"This is wonderful news," Yeo said. "I will see to it you recieve your payments presently. Now I have another task for you. One of our spies in Bern has recently..."
Wylie cut him off. "I must apologise Lord, but I fear we already have a mission to complete. We must simply accept your generous reward and be on our way." The marquess looked taken aback at being cut off like that but quickly hid it.
"Very well," he replied.
Outside, after recieving their bags of gold, Wylie felt the weight of it in his hand. With a slight smile, he said to Crowley, "You know Crow, this bag is too heavy to go travelling with. I think we're going to have to spend some of it here to lighten the load."
(OoC: Sorry about the length folks.)

Crowley was still feeling a bit wuzzy when Yeo was doing the talking, but from the moment he felt the gold in his hand, he cheered up. He counted it. Well, he tried to, it was quite a lot. It seemed that doing dangerous missions payed better than fighting on the front line. He could smile again. Sorrows from the past day were forgotten. He looked at Wylie.
"Somewhere, eh? I think I'm on to you, brother!" He laughed and slapped Wylie on the back, like he always did. Together they made their way to a Tavern. Crowley gestured Usha to follow. Zeiss could come too, but so far Crowley hadn't spotted him.
Once inside, Crowley ordered drinks for Usha, Wylie and him and gave the pretty ladies at table 4 something as well. As usual, the story telling could commence.
"Hear me! Once, Roland was a danger to Ostia, but one day..."
It was going to be a long night.

Zeiss entered the castle later that night after seeing Crowlet and the other in the loyal tavern. He was let into Yeo'sprivate courtyard. 'Has there been any sign from Masters Matis or Kenshin?' 'No, they haven't come here nor has anyone else of their group.' Yeo answered. 'I see... I dunno how long we'll be in the city, I guess I'll try to make them wait a few days. I'll leave you messages for them when we leave. Goodnight.' Zeiss started walking back to the tavern.

Usha had been quiet for a while, watching as the two men received their payment. anyone who could earn pay that high was alright in her book. She was thrilled to go along and drink with the "great mercenaries." She just ignored the looks she got from the other patrons. Her size unnerved people, for some reason.
She slapped Crowley on the back for buying her a drink, thanking him loudly, then quaffed it in one go.
Being drunk would be a pleasant change.

Just like old times. A drink in hand, A slap on the back, Crow telling his story and the girls (a few coins later) eyeing them off. Wylie then looked at Usha. He'd never gone drinking with a woman before. He wondered whether she'd pick up some Lycian soldier. He'd have to be either huge, or a man very comfortable with his masculinity, Wylie thought seeing Usha's immense size.
A couple of drinks later, Wylie's vision went a little fuzzy. He looked over at the table 4 girls and they seemed closer. Wylie struggled to remember the last hour but couldn't figure out if he'd moved there, or they'd moved here. Regardless, they were within talking distance now.
"Hi, I'm Wylie."
"We know," one of them said with what could have been smile. He really couldn't see that clearly. "We heard from your friend there. Why don't you come join our table?"
Damn, Wylie thought. Only one kind of girl is that forthcoming, no matter how good Crow's story is. Prostitutes. Wylie had no intention of paying tonight and so politely declined their offer as best he could and glanced around the place for anyone else.

A couple of drinks later and Usha was feeling a lot merrier than she had. Several of the men in the bar were beginning to look awfully tempting. She laughed raucously at jokes, and at inappropriate places in Crowley's "epic" tale.
She found Wylie and the ladies to be especially amusing. Once she finished wiping the tears from her eyes, she prodded the small healer.
"What's the matter? Don't want a toss?"

"Yeah, I'm just looking for someone who's um, er, oh. wow." Wylie spotted a girl at the bar listening to Crow's tale who was beautiful in that quiet, introspective way.
"Thats who I'm looking for," he said with a smile to Usha. Y'know she really isn't as scary as her first impression indicated.
He walked over to the bar and sat next to her. "Hi there, I'm Wylie."
"Go knock some heads together, soldier boy," was her reply.
"Ah, I'd love to but I'm no soldier. I'm a healer. Absoloute rubbish with a sword."
"A healer?" She was interested. "The only kind we get in here are the mindless order-takers. Grunts. Kind of like that red-scarfed merc over there."
"Hey, Crowley's a sharp man when sober. Saved my life many times."
"Ah then you must be his ruthless mage-killer friend."
"That's me, though you're entitled to your own opinion about it's truthfulness. Now seeing as how you know me, would you care to tell me about yourself over a drink?"
"I'd like that," was her reply with a small laugh.

Usha laughed as she watched the small healer enjoying himself. She reached over and slapped Crowley hardily on the back, pointing her mug over at the healer.
"Little Wylie gonna get a girl," she stated, slurring the words slightly. She kept an eye on the kid, in case he needed some assistance. She'd had to take the fall for her brothers a couple of times, making them look good for women. Of course, she doubted "Big Scary Usha" was going to help Wylie if he was playing the compassionate healer card.
She hated men like that, she preferred men... well... men more like Crowley. Of course, she was well aware that she probably scared the life out of her leader. Besides, relationships within the band were always awkward.
So she scanned the bar, her eyes looking for a male version of herself. Or someone pretty should could intimidate. Either would work.

"Fortunately for Wylie, I was around when -ow- watch were you! Usha!" Crowley spilled some of his drink when adressed by Usha. He cleaned his mouth with the back of his hand and looked at his scarf that had absorbed the spilled beer. What a waste, he thought. He interrupted his story for a second and raised his finger at the waiting audience, who were glad they got the story first hand now. It was even more fantastic than they ever heard. Crowley was fantastic. Wylie was fantastic. Huge lady, was, fantastic.
"Eh? Wylie? Oh, he's doing that all the time." He smiled and winked at her and then proceeded to tell his tale of fame and glory.
A few hours had passed.
"...and after sssaving your llloyal servant, me, haha, from the mmmages, Usha followed me and Wylie to Santaruz as well, sssaving the wwworld one city, city, at a time." He bowed and let himself be dragged along the inn. The inn was packed. People from different places wanted to see the Crowley the magnificent and Wylie the Wrestler. This time, there were a few newcomers in the story as well. Usha for example. He hadn't come up with a nickname for her... yet, but that was out of fear. He knew that if he chose the wrong one, he'd feel it the next day.
"Bartenda! My throat is dry from all this talking!" He then grabbed his drinkingbuddies and commenced the singing. He was feeling aaaaall right.

Between kisses, she asked him, "So what's it like to travel -mmph- with Crowley the magnificent?"
"Its pre-mmph, pretty magnificent. We fight enemies. -Mmmph-. He kills them, I heal him. -mmph-. Then we get to a town -mmph- like this and he tells his story. -mmph-."
"mmph you're different from the others. I like that," She said.
They'd been talking in this disjointed way for about an hour and Wylie was thoroughly enjoying it. It looked like Crow was in usual form with men wanting to be him and girls just plain wanting him and even Usha seemed to be enjoying herself. This was definately how it should be.

Usha felt pretty good about herself too. She had lost count of how many mugs of whatever alcoholic drink they kept putting in front her she'd had. Not to mention the fact that she was quickly becoming part of the "Crowley the Magnificent" Legend. The story was fascinating. Usha wasn't even sure you could kill a dragon with just a spoon and a dinner fork, but...
She drained another drink and scanned the crowd. Likely she could use the legend to get a one-night stand. Wylie and Crowley certainly were. Well, Crowley would if he didn't end up passing out.
She saw a handsome young man on the edge of the crowd. He'd do in a pinch. She'd have to wait until Crowley finished stumbling through his tale.

"...And thatsh how we all ended up ere!" Crowley finished his story and for one moment it was quiet in the inn. Everybody listened if there was going to be more. Some were amused, some were longing for it. Crowley saw all the faces. He opened his mouth to say something and...
...his head fell down on the table with a huge -BANG- the inn came to life immediately again, people laughed or frowned and Crowley got carried away by two girls who clearly had bitemarks from other girls. It's a good way to get strong women. The last thing the inn saw of Crowley were his feet juggling behind his body while he was getting carried to a room.
At least he made it to a room this time.

Guided by Crowey's loud voice Zeiss made it back to the tavern. Traveling with these idiots is such a pain, why can't they act civilized when they're in a town? Zeiss immediately went up stairs to avoid getting mixed in this.

Usha took advantage of the disarray to more or less take her pick of the boys who'd gathered around to hear of Crowley's grand tales. Crowley would be more than taken care of, and Wylie looked just fine, unless the strumpet on his lap turned out to have an overly large male companion. In which case screaming would be Wylie's best option.
Usha was, after all, an accomplished bar fighter.
anyway, she lead the poor quivering boy up the stairs, waving broadly at Wylie and wishing him luck.

(OoC: I love this group)
Wylie waved back to Usha and then got a chance to glance around. Seing that it was dying down, he managed to get to his feet and make for the stairs also, with Hannah, as her name turn out to be, following very closely behind.
(OoC: So are we just waiting in Santaruz for the other group to show up? Or are we creating our own adventure?)
