"Yeah, I'm sure." Tobias wasn't really sure he could win this fight, but he wouldn't show it. Based on what he had seen so far, Usha seemed strong, but not smart or fast. It shouldn't be much of a fight as long as he didn't rush anything. Her attacks would be easy to dodge. He leaned against a nearby tree and crossed his arms. "You can start whenever you want." he said.

Well finally, someone's fighting, Wylie thought. He was getting worried this would turn into just another night on the road.
While Tobias and Usha squared off, Wylie leaned over to the other guys and whispered, "Do any of you know how much longer we'll be travelling?"

"Mmm, I saw a sign for a village somewhere along this road. It was half a day from here on foot. We could ask there. Maybe there's an inn. That would be very, very, VERY nice." Crowley than looked at Zeiss, who seemed pretty relaxed, and asked Wylie:
"You think I can take him?"

Usha hurled her axe at Tobias, using the obvious attack as an opener. This way she could tell just how skilled this swordsman is. Maybe he fought better than one thought, seeing as so far he'd just more or less bumbled about.
Then again, putting him against Zeiss hadn't been exactly fair. Still...

Tobias allowed himself a half smile. The obvious frontal attack was expected. He had been correct about his estimation of the intelligence of his opponent. He easily dodged the axe which bit deep into the trunk of the tree he had positioned himself in front of. His simple preparation had disarmed his opponent with very little effort. Now he had an even greater advantage. He didn't see any reason to go on the offensive yet. He could loose his advantage if he acted too quickly. He would let her come to him.

OoC: Since when can you control where my weapon goes?
Usha grunted, having expected him to do that. What she hadn't expected was for him to just stand there. Did he not want to fight? She looked around, and found a decent sized rock laying on the ground. Smiling, she hefted it, and tossed it at Tobias.

"I think so," Wylie replied to Crow's question. "Personally, I think it's even odds but it's no secret I'll be cheering for you."
He paused, and then laughed. "Yes. An inn would be very nice."

I guess I was wrong. Clearly i wasn't harsh enough on him. Zeiss thought looking at the boy. Getting beaten didn't humble him at all, he could have finished the fight by now. Foolish child...

"Haha, thanks mate." Crowley slapped Wylie on the back and laughed at the thought of an inn. They have had wonderful times there. Away from society and ruffians, Crowley could relax. Wylie had a strange effect of him. Zeiss as well, but that was the effect of mystery that hung around him. Usha was Usha of course.
But Wylie made him calmer outside battles. Maybe it was because of his peaceful nature? He didn't know.
Crowley watched the fight. It flew a bit past him, he was eager to fight Zeiss. He hoped that Usha would win, it would be humiliating to see her beaten by a beginner like what'shisname.
He spat and waited. Like a man.

OoC:I was standing in front of the tree. I assumed that you had aimed at me, which meant it hit the tree when I dodged.
Tobias frowned while avoiding the rock. It was even easier to avoid than the axe. The fighter was slightly smarter than he had thought. She knew not to get in the range of his sword. He would have to be offensive. He drew his sword and held it in front of him, advancing directly at his enemy in order to remain between her and her axe.

Usha snorted. So he was finally going to move? Well, it wasn't as if she'd given him a whole lot of choice in the matter. She bent over, picking up two more rocks. Hefting the smaller of the two, she hurled it at the oncoming swordsman, taking a step back as soon as it left her hand.

Tobias saw that Usha now hd 'weapon' and became more cautious. He was able to catch the rock in his left hand and he threw it back towards the fighter. He didn't have very good aim or poer, but he might be able to make an opening. He wouldn't have any trouble with her, but didn't really want to get hit, even by a rock.

Usha countered the rock throw by taking it to the shoulder.
She just stared at the swordsman, hefting her rock. She would throw it, if necessary.

Tobias sighed. It didn't look like he could be defensive for this battle. He usually just attacked when he dodged an attack and his opponent was open. He got closer and, when he was almost in sword range, leaped to the right. He landed on his shoulders and rolled to his feet, his sword poised to strike now that he was close enough.

Wylie shifted his staff between his hands absentmindedly. He could sense the fight, growing to a new level. The two combatants had stopped testing eachother's strength and were now getting down to the real part of the fight.
Someone was going to need his magic soon, he thought.
