"The only contact with alcohol I've ever had was that booze on the ship. Remeber that? I couldn't even hold it." Katara laughed. "But I hear wine has less alcohol content than booze, so..." she took a small sip from the red liquid. "Not that bad," she said, "Of course, only this once. If Sokka knew, he'd... never mind." she trailed off. Katara finished her drink. They paid the bill together, each paying for what they got.

Kenshin tried to pay Katara back for the part she paid for. "Please take the money, I invited you out to dinner so the least I can do is pay for your food."

Katara reluctantly took the money. "Well, what now? Do you want tot go back to the inn or walk around? The night is still young," Katara said.

"Well since the night is young why waste time at the Inn? I was thinking about just going outside of the town and looking for a nice spot and just star gaze with you. But that's if you want to, I'll let you deside on what we do."

"That sounds wonderful," Katara said. She looked up at the stars for a moment. "They look dazzling tonight. I can't wait to get a closer look outside town," she added.
She held her hand out to Kenshins'. "ready?" she asked.

"Come one, come all, it's only a simple play of the cards!" Kyo shouted above all of the hubbub on a busy street. He was currently holding a recently acquired (No, not bought. Acquired) deck of cards. He had found a wooden box, and was currently using it as a table for his game of chance as people wandered around, looking curiously in his direction. "Place your bets, if you win, I'll pay you double!"
Kyo had already won a considerable amount of money this way, fixing card games in a conniving fashion so that no one would notice. It was a bit more work for his dollar than what he was used to, but it was certainly more fun than just pickpocketing.
"Oh, I'm sorry, sir! Better luck next time!" Kyo said exuberantly as the man walked away, grumbling something under his breath. A lady stepped up next, shelling out a measly ten gold for a game. Kyo eyed her curiously, telling himself this would be one of the few customers who won, to keep up the appearances that it was a fair game.
"Oh no! She beat me!" Kyo shouted, sounded just defeated enough to be believable, yet loud enough to catch the attention of anyone wandering around nearby. "See, folks! This woman's luck clearly outshines mine!" And he went to shuffle that deck of cards again, sneakily rearranging cards as he saw fit.

Kenshin got close to Katara and put his arm around her. "Ok, let's go then." They started to walk through the town to leave. Kenshin seen a small stand with somebody that looked like Kyo dealing cards.
As they were passing a shop with housewear stuff Kenshin stopped. "Hang on a second." Kenshin went in and found a nice blanket and bought it. He came back out side. "So we don't have to sit on the ground." He put his arm around Katara again and they kept walking to the outside of the town.

Katara laughed agreeingly "Good idea," she said.
When they got outside of the town, they laid the blanket on the ground. Katara laid down on it, leaving room for Kenshin. "Coming?" she asked.

Kenshin layed down next to Katara smileing. "So, what do you plan on doing after we stop Hargus and his little minions? We've mainly been talking about what I'm going to do or stuff like that."

"Me?" Katara asked, "well, I plan on returning to my village and opening up a nice little restaurant. There weren't any at all. I also plan on settling down with a decent guy," she said, running her hand through Kenshin's hair.

Kenshin put his arms around Katara again. "Just a decent man? I think you could do a whole lot better then just decent." Kenshin had a weird feeling, even though the world was in grave danger and he still had the thought of revenge in his mind. He hasn't really felt this in a long time, before loseing his whole village. He was truely happy just being here with Katara and he couldn't explain it.

"I'm sure I could..." Katara said, leaning in closer to Kenshin. She hoped she wasn't moving to fast.

"I could of told you that." Kenshin then layed flat on his back and looked up. "You know I wish every night could be like tonight. Just the two of us, no worries in the world. But if we were to be together after it's all over with, do you care if we didn't go back to your village? I'm sure it's a wonderfull place but it wouldn't feel like home to me."
