"Good, I'm glad you figured that out, Rayl." Jackie lay down on her pack and used her cape as a blanket. He's known me for such a short time and he thought I was knowledgeable? They haven't seen nothing yet.

OoC: Yeah I say we have a little time skip, otherwise it's just going to be abit...stale...
IC: As the sun started to rise above the hills, lighting up the cave, you could se that Rayl was tsill SOMEHOW awake, and tending to the fire to keep up as high as possible, though you could see he was just about to collapse, and after putting one last bit of firewood in...he fell over, and began to sleepy soundly, though knowing him he'd probably be up in a matter of moments...

Aleth groaned as she finally got up from her spot. The morning time is just not a good thing to her. She grumbled and cursed as she lurched her aching body out of where she slept. Taking a few seconds to stretch, she peered out into the vast eternal plains. It was pretty at least...

OoC: Hey, I just got permission to enter this thread, so here I come, lol.[/color]
There was a dot in the sky. It was flying straight and true to whatever destination. You could tell it was either the darkeest pegasi in the world, or a wyvern. Anyone with good eyesight could tell there was a rider, just not any actaul features to the rider. The rider started flying downwards, slowing down, and preparing to land...

OoC: Oh fun, Rayl's going to go off and play the 'protector' again! Just to get you more involved of course.
IC: That matter of moments came quicker than usual, as the Cavalier slowly got into a kneeling position, and was praying silently, gazing towards the dancing flames as they slowly died, before looking down to his hand...which was burnt from his keeping it burning all night...oh well, it was his duty, but now he tried to make it seem like he had slept, though just by looking at him, you could tell he was basically at his limit, while he watched Aleth wake up fromt he corner of his eye,and the plains,"You know...it really is bea...utiful, I may just come here more often..." as said inbetween yawns, before he blinked for a brief moment, and when he finished that one single blink, he saw it through his tired eyes: a Wyvern rider...Bern! They found him! Now naturally he wasn't going to want get Aleth involved (as Night would probably run off anyways, and since Jackie was already technically involved), he staggered on over to his horse, getting his lance, before stumbling on back out, appearently his exhaustion and hunger was getting to his mind... He forgot the most important thing to fighting as a cavalier: the horse...

The rider circled a bit before actually landing. As attentive as he was, he decided to play it safe. He didn't want to meet any bandits. So, he landed a good 50 ft from the cave entrance, lance at arm, prepared for anything. He saw the cavalier at the entrance, staggering a bit. "Huh," said the rider. They didn't look like bandits.

Hearing someone clanking about, Night partially opened an eye to see his new employer staggering out with a lance, an empty belly, and a sleep deprived mind. Not to mention no horse. "How do you get yourself into these things?" he asked himself. "This is one hell of a night..Heh..I'm funny..." he chuckled as he waited for the knight to leave before he himself rose, picked up his sword, and followed after the man filling his pocket.

Vision begining to blur, the knight came to an abrupt stop, before falling to his knees, and soon the rest of him followed, so he was now laying face first on the ground, and quite frankly too tired to get up, though he'd rather not admit that...he'd blame it all on his injuries later, and not do anything about them...yeah, that'd work...
anyways, Getting to his feet, he made due for leaning against the tree, trying to remain out of view as much as possible. He'd rather wait for this Bernese trooper to get closer before striking, but not too close, so they wouldn't notice the others...

Many things were going though the rider's head right then, when the cavalier fell on his knees... then face. His first though, Oh no, perhaps I should go help! Then, he realized that it just might be a trap, so he reconsidered his plan, before acting out exactly what to do. He was thinking about flying around the mouth of the cave. However, it was so dark in the cave, there could be archers at the entrances, waiting for him... Thats when the cavalier got up. The next thoughts were, What... in god's name is that soldier... doing... The rider thought he was an average soldier, however, something was off. He just didn't seem right. Perhaps it was the armour he had on. Was it to loose? What was the aspect of the soldier that made him look... off. "Goodness... what to do, what to do..." muttered the rider. So, the rider then sat down. Then, putting the lance to his wyvern, trying to show that he came in peace. He hoped the soldier got the message. The rider was taking a huge risk, putting himself unarmed. He really wasn't in the mood to fight.

At this moment, Rayl was now sitting down on the opposite side of the tree, and actually dozed off for a brief moment, before his horse came charging right on out of the cave, and needless to say, that woke him up in a start, as he wuickly grabbed onto the saddle of the moving steed, pulling himself up and over and into place. You know, he KNEW he was forgeting something, and only now did he realise what it was...oh wait, never mind, the cookbook was there. Seeing as the man lowered his weapon, he figured it would only be just if he did the same, as he strapped said lance to the saddle, before lifting a hand up to stiffle a yawn,"...Your not from Bern...?"

Aha! Thats what was wrong with him! He wan't an average foot soldier, he's a cavalier! And, not only that, he's putting down his weapon, too! Time to figure out who he is.
As the rider got up, he shouted to the cavalier, who was still a bit aways, "HELLO! I COME IN PEACE!" He hoped that the person on the horse coming at him was coming in peace as well.

Aleth clutched her head, it felt like there was shouts in the distance. She grabbed her own sword and dragged it outside.
"Whats going on out here?" Aleth hollered angrily.

Rayl seemed to turn on a dime, mainly to face Aleth,"This doesn't concern you, get back into the cave!" oddly said with newfound vigor, he turned his head back towards this wyvern rider, and sighed for a moment, before continuing,"You know, for a Bernese soldier, your rather...what's a good word for it...weak. You should know very well what's going on at this moment...unless of course your a deserter." After all, how was Rayl to know the difference, but it was obvious (to those who knew him) that he was only a jerk when: he was tired, hungry, or drunk...and he was hungry AND tired,"Now...which are you?"

"It does concern me, however." Cut in Night out of nowhere. "Who's gunna pay my paycheck if you go off and get yourself killed, Boss?" he asked, crossing his arms over his chest. "And just what he heck are you doing out here? You haven't eaten, I doubt you've slept, and you forgot your bloody horse!"

The rider was annoyed about the whole thing. He thought perhaps trying to communicate with the cavalier would help, but now, apparently, there were reinforcements. Renaz was desperate. He did not at all want to fight. He would be out numbered, and probably weaker than any of them. How could he make peace, come to an understanding? Besides, it's not like there was a war going on... was there? The rider, who's name was Rena, had been lost for a good two years. He had only just wound up here, in this place of endless grass. Not only that, he forgot how to get back to that village he found. He could barely pronounce the name, which probably offended them. Agh, I'm such a cluts. I can't find my way back home and I have no idea if I'm even going to survive. He had the rations, the water, and the feed for Angur, his wyvern, but still. He was very much lacking the ability to fight. Granted, he had a few tricks, but still, would they be enough? Renaz sighed, looked at Angur, and asked him, "So, now what, my friend? Now what do we do.?" He realized that the lance was still strapped on the saddle. So, he positioned himself on the saddle, gave a little nudge to Angur, and started flying, very high, and very slowly towards the group. The wyvern rider climbed and climbed. He just wanted to get, at least a good look at them. Perhaps he could tell if the were friend or foe.
