Set against the border where Santaruz and Sacae meet, lies a small, unnamed border village. Populated mostly by simple peasant folk, it has remained cut off from most of the world for several years. Despite this, the bandit invasion has struck here....
Matthias looked down at the small village. The group had decided to come here and help out the villagers, going out of their way to do the right thing. Thankfully, the terrain had sufficient coverage, with several hills and a forest that extended almost up to the village walls. From this position, Matthias could only see two guards standing outside the village. "I'm guessin' there are more around here somewhere. Probably that punk Danala and some other cronies," he stated, glancing over at his companions.

"Those two are guarding the gate, but there are others hiding in the forest around it, for extra support on the entrance. There are more inside, yes." she turned to Matthias, answering his question.
"Well then...anyone has a good plan of action, or should we just break in with brute force? Those bandits don't seem so well equipped." Matis said, noticing the bandit's slim swords.

'We should try to take out as many as we can silently as to not alert their support, we dunno how large their numbers are. You footsoldiers can take care of the sneaking. Me and Alexia won't do you much good.'

'The mark has arrived. They are holding position outside the village.' The pegasus knight said to my father. As always, i was impressed by our units tactics. pretending to be bandits and letting a woman escape to get aid was sure to lure out Matis and his band. This will be my first mission. I thought happily. 'Alright, proceed as planned. We pretend to be the civilians. When I give the sign we strike. The townsmen have been taken care off, I assume?' My father asked his second in command. 'Yes, sir. The poison took care of everything.'

"I'm pretty sure i can take out at least one of those guards from here, it'll be a tight shot though," admitted Matthias, squinting. "Guess I could get a little closer... Can one of the kids sneak up and nail the other guard? That way Matis, Alan, and Alexia can just plow in..."

"Good idea, you two. Katara, Sokka, you two are quite fast. Move as fast as you can up to one of the guards, and Matthias will snipe the other one in the meanwhile. If you do so fast, no one inside the gate will notice. After that, explore nearby to see if any other bandit remains outside. Give us a signal, and we will move." he told Sokka and Katara.
Turning to Alan, Matthias and Alexia, who were to his right... "Alan, you will be our aerial scout. As soon as we go inside the town, I want you watching from above any hidden bandits. Alexia, Matthias, you two will come with me. We will get Sokka and Katara once we get to the gates. We will take that gate down, and kill any bandit in sight."
"Now, are you all ready?" he asked, getting his Mani Katti just a little bit out of it's scabbard. Taking it out completely would reflect the sunlight to the town, and might show their position. That wouldn't be good.

Alan set off and started searching the area. If there were hidden bandits then they were well hidden indeed. Then he saw something moving. Alan picked up pace and caught sight of it a second time. It was Danala! He was moving fast, probably alerting his superiors. Alan knew he couldn't let that wrench escape but this left him no time to warn Matis. 'Well I'll be damned if he escapes me twice!' Alan started the pursuit.

Lyndsey gripped the reins of her mount, eager to attack. The scouts had noticed the tiny band a while ago, but they had their orders. They were to wait for the signal. Edgy, the young warrior double checked her supplies, making certain there would be no foul ups. She had heard that several of those selected for this mission were first recruits, and they would need to prove themselves. She couldn't help but wonder why her employer kept his identity a secret though. She shook her head, such thoughts were not for simple mercenaries. Her gaze went to the main house of the village, where the boss would give his sign. She would strike then, and it would be her lance that would defeat the supreme target: Matis.

Alexia quickly wrapped her weapons, and attempted to place cloth around both her and Fleetfoot's armor, in an attempt to silence the noise. It was difficult for a mounted unit to sneak up, but not impossible. Moving cautiously, she took the lead, knowing that her armor was much better than any one else's, save for Alan.

Readying his longbow, Matthias gave the nod to Matis. He should have no problems taking out one bandit. The guards didn't look very well protected, a head shot should be more than enough to finish them off. He hoped that Katara and Sokka could take care of the other. Then again, they'd proven to be pretty good sword users for such young warriors. He waited, wanting to make sure the others were in front of him.
OoC: Matis or whomever moves us closer, you have permission to move Alexia and Matthias. Man, it gets confusing have three chars that post in the same topic....

OoC: Matthias, If you don't include that Lyndsey is your al then you are in violation. Don't want to play cop but you are the 1# posting user here, you won't get away with READ THE DAMN RULES FOR A CHANCE! like Sokka.
BiC: Alan started to fly lower and lower as he got closer. Danala was moving fast and had them dragged away from the battlefield for a long time but there was no escape now.

Sokka and Katara snuck up into the guard tower. Katara walked in nonchalantly. "Het, how ya doing?' She said, trying to be as suductive as possible. "Hey, your not supposed to-gwah! The guard grunted as Sokka came up from behind as slit his throat. "Dont mess with Lycia's best." He said.

Katara and Sokka headed back down to the group. They saw a satisfied looking Matthias, so they knew all had gone well. "The guard was taken out, Matis, we're all clear to head in" Katara said. As they headed into the village, Katara noticed That Alan was missing. She looked in the night sky, and saw him flying fast. He must be chasing someone... she thought. The village was as empty as a graveyard, and as silent as one too.

My father signaled at last. Then hell brusted open. Out of each hut came about seven men all looking for targets. The daark sky was suddenly filled with pegasus riders. I tried to keep my head. launched my handaxe at the guardtower where there were two myrmidons.

Katara batted the handaxe blade away just in time. Unfortunatly, the force had pushed her back a few feet, and she was near the edge of the tower. She screamed as she fell off the solid wood tower into empty air.
"Katara!" Sokka yelled. He threw himself at the edge of the tower. He felt her hand and grabbed it. The momentum was too much, and he slid off the tower as well. He grabbed Katara as they fell and put her on top of him. His body would cusion her from the fall, and hopefully she would be unharmed. When they hit the ground, Sokka saw a flash of light, and then it all went black.
