The sun arose. Scyther opened one way, then realized it was time to start the day. He had gotten about 4 hours of sleep that night, which is more than he usually enjoys getting. Sleep is for the weak, although recently he had begun to think it was also for the tired. If it wasn't for Tornona, I probably wouldn't sleep more than thrice a week, he thought to himself. He looked over at Tornona. She was fast asleep, her mane blowing in the wind.
Scyther hadn't experienced too many problems in Sacae recently. Any worldly problems hadn't shown their face in some time, at least not to Scyther's knowledge. The plains were all he knew, and any threat to them would quickly be relieved by his bow. Scyther looked over at Tornona. She had finally woken up. I suppose the day has finally started then. Scyther mounted Tornona and began to ride with no real purpose in mind. It was just any other day for him.

Scyther was riding along the plains looking for anything. He saw a small, distressed little boy running towards him.
"Please don't hurt me! I'm not your enemy!"
Scyther was troubled at this. "What is the matter? I'm not anyone to fear. Not for you, at least."
The boy, realizing this man was not a villain, opened up to him. "It's bandits! I was traveling in a merchant caravan when it was stopped by them. The merchants sent me away to avoid harm, but they're still in trouble!"
Bandits... Scyther hated bandits. "I'll take care of them. Show me the way."
"It's a little further west. Thank you so much!"
Ceballos left on Tornona in that general direction.

Scyther arrived at the caravan, and sure enough there were two bandits terrorizing it. They were demanding not only all the goods and gold, but the caravan itself as well. The merchant had taken up arms with a wooden lance he had stowed away in the caravan. "I'll not give up my caravan so easily! This is my life! If you take my caravan, you have to take me first!"
Scyther rushed over to the merchant. Fool, a small wooden lance is no match for those axes. He reached the merchant. "Lay down your arms. I'll handle this."
The bandits began to burst in laughter "Bwahaha, looke here, Mr. Mystery Man is gonna 'handle' us." They raised their axes, but Scyther was already at a distance, firing with his bow. He got two hits on the first bandit, severely wounding but not defeating him. The bandits then rushed towards Scyther. The first one took a big swing, but missed and fell to the ground.
"Your axe is clumsy. Perhaps you should use a smaller weapon."
The second bandit became enraged and went right after Scyther. He was able to connect with a hit, dealing decent damage. Scyther pulled back and fired once more at the first bandit. The hit finished him off and he fell. The second bandit grew worried.
"You... You will pay for this! But not now, I'll keep my life thank you." The bandit rushed off by himself. Scyther wanted to give chase, but decided to help the merchant instead.

"Thank heavens you drove off those bandits! I must hurry my caravan out of Sacae before more bandits get to it!"
Scyther was a bit troubled by this. He knew bandits would occasionally attack civilians in Sacae, but he didn't believe it was a common occurence. However, recently he had seen a lot of bandits... "Is the bandit problem really this serious?" he asked.
"Well, I've seen about 4 bands and I've only been in Sacae for a fortnight. I was usually able to avoid them, but this duo surprised me with their small numbers. I'd be careful if I were you. You may have been able to take those guys, but you can't exactly stand up to a large group of them."
Scyther looked over at the merchant with a smile. "Well, guess I should go find out." The merchant just shook his head. They parted ways and Scyther decided to keep riding around Sacae to see if he could spot anymore trouble.

While he was riding, Scyther noticed a strange looking man near the entrance of a village. He was dressed in black garb, and there was nothing honest about his face. Scyther decided to approach him before he entered the village.
"Pardon me, but what is your business here?"

As soon as he approached the man, it was obvious this was no friend, as the man pulled out a knife and immediately became belligerent.
Scyther smiled. "Well, if it's a fight you're looking for, I'll give it to you."
The man seemed incredibly upset at something. "You don't me. Get away from me. I'll give you one chance."
"Sorry buddy, I'm not backing down." Scyther then backed away and used his bow to shoot an arrow at him. Much to his shagrin, the arrow missed.
"I'm too quick for you, nomad." The man then struck Scyther with his knife. This wasn't looking good...

He was already on top of the hill, and saw someone kneeling, next to a scared horse and a man covered by a black cloak.
"Halt!" he said, and just as the man was about to stab the nomad again(he had seen the bow lying close by), he cut the mysterious figure's hand off.
"Don't you dare try something of the like again." he said, calmly, pointing his weapon at the man's throat.

Zeiss had finally reached the top of the hill. 'So, I guess that's that.' He said eyeing the dead bodies, 'shall we go?'

"Yeah, okay, we saved a civilian, can we just get to Ilia already?"
(OoC: Ralph is becoming more pushy and forceful, must be stress from his eyes.)

"Yes. Let's move on." he said, as he jumped off the northern side of the hill, which ended rather abruptly, making it a small cliff of sorts.
"Time can mend most wounds, I guess." he said, as he landed. The pain was still there, but it simply wasn't strong enough to make him care.

Scyther got up, but his rescuers were already gone. He did not have time to thank them, but he knew he would not be breathing right now were it not for them. He had no place he could call "home" persay. Tornona was still healthy, so he got on and left to go ride some more around the plains...

Seeing as everyone went down a hill, Ralph ran over the edge and followed along the side gaining speed, it curved back into flat plains and he stopped.

'Alright.' Zeiss said when he got down too (chronically it took him longer). 'Let's get going then.' He said and started walking forward again wondering when this blasted country would end.

The rest of the trip went smoothly, even past the mountains that separated Sacae from Ilia, with a couple of complaints from Zeiss for having to climb a small mountain after noticing that there was no path around it.
Night had come, and they had stopped to camp by a river that flowed from the very mountains they had gone by.
"It sure is harder to get food around here." Matis said, having come back two hours after having left the camp to look for food. He had brought a deer with him, which he promptly started roasting with the fire Ralph and Zeiss had ignited.
OoC: We either fast forwarded a bit, or we would lose even MORE. After we leave the camp we'll make a new topic in Ilia.
