OoC:Bunny, this isn't turning into a dice rolling forum. Just useing two d10 to make things out of a hundred is the fairest random way of useing the 'guidelines'. Or do you want people to pull numbers out of their head and always hit or dodge or crit. Matis, do a d100.
BiC:That burning feeling, one that came from a dragon was something he hadn't missed. Infact he wished he never had to feel it again in his life time but it was something he couldn't stop, well for now. The pity insults from the weakling shooting his sharp sticks at him was nothing compaired to the flame that was shot at him. But he still had to do something about him, knowing his horse was more brave then that archer for standing it's ground against a dragon he knew it could plow threw the loud one easly.
Getting off of the horse he had it charge towards Matthias as the dust was clearing. He was faceing Aerious looking him in the eyes. "I've killed your kind before in the past, what do you think is going to stop me now foolish dragon?"

Still alive!?
Matis rushed at Barigan as soon as he could spot the horse running for Matthias.
"Me, for example", he said, thrusting his Mani Katti forward, aiming to impale the Hero.
OoC: I can try. And sorry for the short post, but that's simply something my character would do. And I can't directly impale him and force the hit, so I can't keep writing either.

OoC: I thought our battles were text-based, and our relative powers were based on posts, per the ruling in the battle rules thread. Ergo, my attacks and hits will be based on texts, not some dice roll. if you want to do that, more power to you.
Matthias saw the horse charging towards him. "Oh crap!" he managed, rolling out of the way of the beast. He shouldered his bow, pulling a sword out. he couldn't believe he was reduced to fighting a hero's horse... He lunged with the sword, hoping to catch the beast before it turned around.

OOC: I am going to refrain from attacking, since Barigan didn't either, so I'll consider this just talking.
IC: Aerious stared back at the hero, he would love to say he wasn't afraid, but he was. He was terrified, but he wasn't going to let this monster know that.
"My people have suffered enough at your hands! Now I will lay you to rest, once and for ALL!" And he let out a mighty roar.

OoC: GUESS WHO, EVERYONE!
BiC: 'Hah, Your bloody fate awaits you with the rest of your imcompetant race, and I, Barigan, Will send you too it!' Barigan forgot about the archer and the swordsman and heaved his lance back slightly as he rode toward Aerious to finish his natural enemy.

OOC: Since I never found out how much extra damage I take from that weapon I'll assume that puts me to near death.
IC: Aerious saw the lance coming, and knew he had to finish this here. The longer he lived, the more of a threat this creature was. Pulling back he allowed Barigan to stab into his chest, the feeling of the burning metal made him howl in agony, but now the Paladin had his lance embedded in the Dragon. With his free clawed hand, Aerious grabs the lance, holding it tight.
"It...may be my fate, to die to you..." He got out through labored breaths. "...but your damage...to my race...is DONE!"
And with that he let loose one final jet of flame at the corrupted 'hero'.

(I'm just gonna count that as a critica as it was pointblank range.)
The sheer force of the Firebreath thrusted Barigan away from the Dragon and slammed him against the wall. He struggled back on his feet again.

Aerious saw Barigan hit the wall, and get up.
"...Damn it.....I wasn't...enough...." he managed to get out, before collapsing on the ground with a loud crash. As he drifted into unconscious, his body reverted to it's humanoid form.

Look at what we have here...yet another Manakete. I guess it's normal for them to try and stop the ones that caused their suffering. Makes sense that he's one, though. Matt did mention a mysterious dragon helping him against Roland.
"I know the dragon is your main target, but I'm not letting you near him." Matis said, jumping in between Aerious and Barigan.
"Think you can take me on?" he tried to seem cocky and arrogant. Perhaps trying to infer fear in Barigan, even when it was HIM the one sending a chill down Matis' spine. He knew that a wrong move would get him twenty feet under. Even with the Mani Katti's advantage against cavalry, Barigan's Malte gave the hero the better odds of survival.

Matthias yanked his blade out of the horse, who fell over, dead. Panting, Matthias turned to face the others. Barigan looked battered and so did Aerious... Wait, wasn't there a dragon there? "A man-in-a-kite," Matthias whispered, remembering old companions. His gaze went to Matis, who stood against the hero. The ranger quickly switched over to his bow, knocking an arrow.
He shot, praying it would be enough.

The arrow hit Barigan in the chest. Again he tried too pull himself up using his spear. But now he lost balance and hell forward, the arrow was forced right through his heart as he hit the floor.

Matis turned around after the arrow pierced Barigan's armor. Matthias was grinning, standing on top of Barigan's horse, panting from exhaustion.
"Heh. That's two on your count. I get the next one." Matis said, jokingly, as he helped Matthias over to where Aerious was.
"So...we have a dragon on our side once more. At least for the time being..."
Who knows what he'll to do once all the heroes are dead...
Matis grabbed Aerious, tossing him over his shoulder, as several Pegasi Knight flew over the now roofless building. Laurette, who had been hiding during the fight, came out of her hideout, and spoke to the other Pegasi Knight, just as they were about to skewer Matis and Matthias with their lances.
"Stop! The high counselor is dead! And these two also dealt with Barigan!"
This last phrase got some of the warriors confused, as they didn't know of the revival of the heroes. "But...he wasn't the same Barigan we had all heard about. He was...full of hatred. He intended to kill us all.
The flying soldiers lowered their weapons, letting a tired Matis and Matthias leave the building and make their way to the inn.

Matthias followed the other lord, exhausted. Killing the second one hadn't been any easier than killing the first, even with Aerious's help... Wait a tic... "He turned into a dragon, didn't he?" Matthias poked the unconscious man with his sword. "The guy turned into a damn dragon!"
OoC: 200 exp, correct?

"What is it? You want a prize for figuring that out?" Matis said sarcastically.
"Come on, you knew Dray'Gon. It's not unheard of. Dray'Gon had lived as a human for hell knows how many years. Aerious must have gone through the same." he added, dropping him on a couch in the inn's reception. Knowing Matthias, he finished, stating the obvious. With him, you never know. "Of course, he was the one who helped you against Roland."
Matis waved to the inn owner, who had gotten closer to the group as they entered.
"Here again? What happened?
"It's a long story. You'll probably have heard it by tomorrow morning. Can you get us a room for tonight? I don't think we'll be moving any time soon." With that the man nodded, and brought the group three keys.
OoC: Oh, almost forgot. Yes.

"I figured he was the one who helped against Roland," Matthias muttered under his breath as he took the key. "I'm not that stupid..." He yawned, stretching. "You gonna need help takin' him up to his room?" he asked, pointing at the unconscious body of Aerious.
