...Some days it just sucked to be Rayl. Seriously.
- stuck in Armageddon caused by a dragon. - knocked out by brigands - losing most of your friends (Darius was laying about somewhere) - more importantly, losing your horse - still bleeding fairly badly from that hand axe wound
...he just hoped no one was making a story out of this...
After what had been quite some time of unconsciousness, Rayl awoke to find himself on the ground, arms and legs tied, surrounded by brigands drinking, eating, and doing rather...vulgar things to kidnapped women.
Instinctively trying to move, the sounds of his armor rubbing against the ground alerted some of the nearby bandits, who turned around, grinning between chugging ale," Looks like the knight is awake. I bet we can get a good ransom off 'em...and kill 'em anyways! Ahahahahaha!" they then went back to drinking, while Rayl surveyed the surrounded area. He was at the far side of the cave from before, and as it looked, he wouldn't be able to get the ropes that bound him off any time soon...crud...the clock was ticking...
"Hey, Darius, wake up...doubt they'll try and get a ransom off you."

Darius' head was starting to clear up. He was slowly waking to the sound of his name being called. He woke up and said something along the lines of: "Murphmglef." Then he remembered where he was and what was going on. He opened one eye, and gave Rayl a look that said, "Shush!" asuming that Rayl would notice. Darius quickly surveyed the room. His Elfire tomb was sitting on the farthest table from them, and Rayls weapons were on a rack over near the table. There was no way to get to them without the Bandits seeing them. He got up, this time not trying to mask his movements this time. He sighed, and gave a resigned look to Rayl.

"Didn't mean it like that. Stop looking at me like that, at least your not tied up as much as I am. Guess they don't know what magic is...until you showed up eh?" he was trying to lighten the mood despite the situation, as he began to think up a way out of it all. He was a good tactician, and it wasn't his idea to block the entrance to the cave with flaming branches. Why, if he had been in the cave before then it'd have been a good idea, but...
...oh well, water under the bridge, as something caught his eye: a bandit passed out drunk, and their hand axe, dripping with blood (Rayl's own) clattered on the ground nearby, bandit laughing as they turned back to whatever they were doing, as Rayl slowly crawl over to axe. First order of business: unbind his hands. Then he'd untie his legs, get his sword, and make them pay...or get the h-ll out (dragging Darius along of course), whichever came first.

Darius saw what Rayl was trying to do and acted as normal as possible. "Ya well, I can't use my magic without my tomb, and it's all the way over there!" He said this in the perfect captive's voice he could. He had learned a few things in Nabata, with so many bandits on the outskirts. He could see Rayl was cutting his own bonds, and stopped him as soon as he could. Using the axe the way he was he would cut his own hands off before he cut his bonds. Darius pulled a small knife out of a hidden pocket in his robes and flashed it at Rayl, then began cutting his bonds. If he was noticed, he always had a few tricks to get out of the bonds, with or without the knife. His bonds snapped easily, as the ropes was fairly old and weak. He quickly walked over to the side of the cell Rayl was in and cut his bonds. Now they would be able to do something. They just needed a plan.
OoC:Sorry, noticed my post kinda conflicts with yours, but I figured everything would be easier with us in a cell. Then we would be more unnoticed than if they were out in the open.)

Rayl stared at the knife for a moment, and after his own bonds were cut, he could only pause, before he then noticed someone in the corner of their cell, and began to think of two things.
One: Since when were they in a cell? Oh well, he was still abit disillusioned from being whacked in the back of the head.
Two: How did they not notice the fact that the person in the corner was dead...with a key on their corpse.
"Alright Darius, grab that key and unlock the door quickly, and run for your tomb. I'll try and make sure none of them get to you-" he stopped and dropped to his knees (after his bonds were cut on his legs, he had gotten up), as his he gripped his side, the bleeding had gotten abit worse, as he then rested against the cell wall," Alright...maybe I should...sit still for abit...?" he then lost consciousness again.
(-4 hp due to bleeding.)

As Rayl passed out, Darius realized that it was up to him. He noticed a vulnerary also on the dead man, and poured some on Rayl's wound to stop the bleeding. Then he poured some on his own wounds to freshen him up. "Alright, this is it. It's now or never." Of course, he could always wait for Rayl to regain consciousness, but he was still a bit disallusioned from the wack to the head and the thought never crossed his mind. He quietly unlocked the door and pushed it open. No one seemed to notice. Then he ran for his tomb as fast as his legs could take him. He shed his long cloak, because it would only hinder him. His running got the bandit's attention. Good, maybe when Rayl regains consciousness, he'll have a chance to escape. Now Darius only wanted to be a distraction. There was no way he would be able to take all the guards on his own. But he could have a fighting chance. He got to his tomb. Summoned up the magic, and let it loose around him...

While unconcious, Rayl's mind was hard at work at tormenting Rayl...well, not really, he was having that 'dream' again, where he was laying in the bed and the two kids came running over singing happy birthday while an unknown woman watched with a smile from the doorway, face being veiled by a shadow.
But the dream was different, he could see the face of one of the children, a son, like a younger version of himself.
"So daddy, are you and Auntie Aleth going to teach me how to use a sword today? It's not just your birthday, you know!" the child whined, before hopping onto the older, bearded Rayl's lap.
Auntie Aleth?! It was as if his mind was thinking and dreaming at the same time, narrating what it was thinking in some complex series of clips.
He later found himself standing next to Aleth (and the unknown woman), while they instructed the little boy, who was hitting a scarecrow with a stick, while they were in a large courtyard. That little dream soon drifted by, and Rayl found himself in the bed again, a young man at his side,
"Sorry son..." the old man in the bed said weakly, between coughs. He had apparently been sick for some time, and he was now upon his death bed, "I'm glad to have named my son after me...You've grown up to be a fine young man, and with my death, my estate will become yours...good-bye...Rayl..." with this the man closed his eyes, and said nothing more...
(...dang that was a wierd dream eh? There were alot of other little dreams I wanted to put in like the two fishing or something, but due to budget cuts and laziness, I decided to do these while he's still unconscious and Darius is fighting Bandits.)

"Fire!" Through the door came a fireball that hit a bandit square in the chest. "Jackie to the rescue!" She burst through the door. "Hey guys, need a hand?" She winked. "I'll explain how I got here later, let's take out these bandits."

Next thing Rayl knew, in his dreams of course, he was in the middle of a green ocean, walking atop it. This didn't make much sense, until he realized it wasn't an actual ocean, but merely the plains of Sacae, which he had somehow come to love, actually. Despite the bandits around the area, it was rather tranquil and untamed...
In moments though he found himself in Bern, in the middle of that town all over again, with burning buildings, fleeing civilians, and bodies...bodies everywhere. He didn't know it, but he was sweating (outside of the dream), and was completely unaware of the whole battle that was going on while he just lay there, out cold...

Darius was so deep in a magic coma (Just a term, he's not really in a coma, he just can't focus on anything but his magic) that he didn't see Jackie's fireball knock out one of the bandits. His magic was all that was left in his mind. That and the fact that he had to keep it coming no matter what. He just kept flaming the bandits and somehow remained somewhat unscathed. Scratch that, he just got caught in the shoulder with a handaxe. He was slipping, and he knew it. He had to try one more thing. It was his last chance. He had to release all the energy he had left in one big burst. He summoned as much power as he could. This would be tricky. He had been taught that hypothetically, it was possible. But it had never been attempted before. But he had to. As the power was about to slip out, he let it fly (Darius-10). Elfire flew out around him, charring all the bandits within 7 feet. He was slipping into darkness, and saw two more bandits coming at him. They must have stayed back, and he had no more to give. He fell to the ground, and was out cold withing a second.
(Sorry for the power play there, but I did give myself a penalty, i guess. Lol, was that going to be your future character Rayl? Cause I don't think the timeskips going to be that long.)

"Cmon, guys, stay with me!" Both guys were knocked out and there were only two bandits left. "I'm not sure if I'm strong enough to kill them, but I will try. Fire!" Jackie sent out fireballs, one after another at the bandits nearing Darius and Rayl, one threw his handaxe at her before he was incinerated. Suddenly, someone stepped in front of Jackie and took the blow from the axe for her. "Father!" "Don't worry about me, help your friends." Jackie's father pulled out a Vulnerary and started to tend to his wound. Jackie walked over to Darius and Rayl, "Cmon guys, get up!" She found a bucket of water and threw the water on them.

Darius felt water being splashe on him, but didn't open his eyes. He probably couldn't if he tryed. It was the most he could do to move his fingers. Then he blacked out again. It felt like he was drifting through space, his mind completely sepperated from his body. Was this what it was like to die? He saw things, that nobody had ever seen, and probably wouldn't ever. He saw people, mostly mages, fighting terrible battles for the sake of good. He saw them doing whatever it took to defend what was right. He saw the Arch Sage Athos, fighting in the Scouring, with his friends beside him. He saw fights long past, and fights in the future. He even saw a war of mages and other magic wielders, fighting for control of a country. He didn't know how he could possibly know all of this history, but he knew it. Then last of all, he saw what he had just done, fighting for his friends, and knew that he wasn't dead. Then, he drifted into a peaceful slumber.

Jackie's father finished with his injuries."How do they look?" "One is resting, the other has a lot of lost blood." "I will take them home, go find their weapons and head home when you are done." The large man lifted both Rayl and Darius with ease and walked out the door. Jackie searched the place and found Rayl's sword and some various supplies that might be theirs. The two headed back home and put the two men into beds and waited until they recovered.

Darius woke in a strange building (House, cottage, what?) and found his wound reasonably treated (+10). Jackie was sitting by a fire, and there was a strange man next to her. There was a strange resemblence between them. That must be her father! The man was fairly fit, and had large muscles on his arms. He must have been the one who carried them here, where ever here was. Darius rose from the bed he was on and massaged his temples. His head hurt from that abuse of magic. He would have to rest a while before he did any fighting.

Jackie's father turned and saw that Darius had awakened. "Jackie, go and make some food for your friend." Jackie nodded obediently and left the room. Jackie's father stood up, he was a very large man, and had a flowing cloak that made him look even larger. "You... I can smell it on you, the scent of the dragons of Arcadia. I am Julius, an old dragon of Arcadia." His green eyes flashed as he looked Darius square in the eyes. "I do not mean to alarm you, but when I sensed that you had been there I needed to know how the good city has been."
