Darius' mood turned darker. "I haven't been there for years. I got caught out in Athos' sandstorms, and I couldn't find my way back. I used up too much of my life trying to find it and return there." A single tear rolled Darius' cheek on the side Jackie's father couldn't see. Darius remembered those horrible days in Nabata, trying to get back to Arcadia. "I was young then, and I didn't pay attention to the warnings I was given. 'Never go out of the city Darius, we have all we need right here,' I didn't listen. I wanted to know what was out there, on the outside! And now, here I am, on the outside..." Darius looked down for a while, then looked back up. "But you know, I don't regret it. Sure, I miss my family, but I have friends now. I wouldn't know half the people I do now, If I hadn't taken that risk." Darius was then silent, he had nothing more to say. That was his story, and it was all true.

"I feel the same way... if you ever do want to return to Arcadia, I can take you there, but right now there is more important things at hand." Jackie returned with some hot soup which she gave to Darius. "In a couple of years, you will not want to be in Etruria, one man is gaining the trust of the whole nation through lies."

"So I've heard! I don't know, I might have a few things to say to him!" Darius grinned malicously. In reality, he knew he wouldn't be able to take on an entire army on his own. But he could still dream couldn't he? After all, things were looking pretty grim. Seperated from most of their friends, in a country being taken over by a half crazed mad-man. But Darius wasn't one to give up. He knew things would get better, and he hoped that he would be one of the people to make it that way. Darius had always had a strong sense of justice since he was very young. His parents had been very proud. At that thought, Darius' mood darkened again. His parents. He missed them.

A few more odd dreams, and a rather...sensual one, the kind you'd rather not tell anyone about...yeah, that kind. Anyways, when he woke up, the first thing he did was...
...well, the first thing he did was cough up some blood then pass out again ( -2 hp) but after waking up AGAIN, he opened his eyes, vision blurry from being out for so long, and then turned to face who he could only guess was Jackie, and you could tell he was semi-delusional," Is...everyone else alright...?" yep, just like Rayl, thinking about the others before thinking about the face that your in extreme pain and quite frankly should barely even be alive...though at about that moment, all the pain went shooting through his body, and fell right back down where he was resting, the pain on his face obvious and the sweat on his brow a giveaway as well.

"Rayl, I don't know where everyone else is. Once we regrouped outside of Sacae, I ran ahead to Etruria without telling anybody. I sensed that you two were in danger and had my dad help you get out of the bandit's jail." Jackie held out a vulnerary in case Rayl needed it.

Shaking his head to the offer of the vulnerary, he slowly got off the bed, feeling rather...well, awkward, since he had saddle sores and all, but a moment for resting for that would wait until then, "I need a horse." Came Rayl's next few words, as he staggered off to the door, using nearby objects or what not to keep him stable, until he actually got out the door...he mainly did this so no one would see him throw up, mostly blood though, as he hadn't really eaten anything besides alot of bacon...and there were probably bits of bacon throughout it, but let's not describe it, hmmm? (Aleth probably did it better anyways)
In moment, he came back, wiping his mouth," Alright, after I get a horse, I see if I can find assistance in any nearby villages." With this, he stumbled back out the door (threw up abit more), then realized he had no clue where he was going, and opened the door YET again," Anyone have a...map?" ... Was he this determined, or just plain Arrogant...well, he was arrogant, but more on the determined side.

"Yeah, I've got one around here somewhere." Julius left for a while into a back room, from where noises of large object falling on the floor could be heard. "Here you go, I took the liberty of marking this house and the nearest villages, they like to live near the rivers, so you could easily follow any river to a village." "Well Rayl? Should we go towards Lycia, Ilia, or further into Etruria?"

"......." He took a moment to evaluate the map, the places marked, and then the options She had given him. After this, and ignoring his wounds, he passed back and forth before the doorway, before finally sighing," As much as I want to find the others, we have a job to do. We press on toward the village farthest west, where we can supply and continue our search for information as well." he tapped an armored finger on the dot closest to their current location," But surely your both tired, shall we rest first? And is this man joining us-" Rayl paused, having been trying to hide his own fatigue, his body pumping small supplies of adrenaline through him, the main reason he wasn't reacting as much to the pain in his side, and took a moment to blink: Wait-Where did that man come from...?!

"Um, Ray, you've been asleep for three days. Oh right, this is my dad, Julius." Jackie rolled up the map and put it in her pocket. "No, I'm not going with you, my time to battle is not yet, if any. I will tell you, beware of the capital. Jackie and Darius will be fine since they are mages, but knights are rare, so you will look suspicious."

*Wait, what exactly is our job though? And how can we do it with just three people? We need to regroup with everyone before we try anything. If we're going to the capitol of Etruria, then we must be doing something against Kraft, am I right? He's gonna have the best of the best working for him, and we're just three people. We would have more of a chance with say, 9 people, don't you think?" Darius didn't generally like to disagree with people, but he felt like he had to now. "At least, that's what I think. And Rayl, you're their leader, I'm sure that they're waiting for you, trying to find you so we can go at it together. If you really think this is how we have to do things, then I won't cross you. But try to see it their way. They're lost without you."

"Of course you wouldn't cross me, Darius." The cavalier said with a shrug, as he simply continued to walk away. Was he really this cruel? Was he REALLY this evil? Nah, there was reasoning behind it," Besides, I'm not anyone's leader. As a matter of fact, I'm not sure WHY half of you came to be following me anyways. Besides, I'm not leader material. The others are more lost WITH me than they are WITHOUT. Now, if your still coming, feel free to go ahead. I have a plan. Besides, I'll keep my armor hidden beneath my cloak. If anyone asks, we are mercenaries. I heard This Kraft n' cheese or whatever his name was, was recruiting many of them. What's another pair for him then? Best to learn how sharp a lion's teeth are by checking the lion's mouth, eh?"
With this, he was out the door, gazing around at the outside. It was sometime in the afternoon, and his eyes took awhile to adjust to the light...but it looks like they had quite the bit of traveling to do, and it wouldn't be easy on foot.
(Darius just got denied!)
