Taking a moment to look back at his companion before looking back forward with a nod of his head, he quickened his horse's pace, in an attempt to beat the storm and get to Delphia before it arrived, and before his horse would get more nervous about the thunder and lightning that would occur before they got to Delphia, and when they were in Delphia...yes, that was a play on words about the magic spells, since he wasn't one for magic, finding it rather...confusing.

Richter yawned. "How soon 'till we reach Delphia?" asked Richter to Crowley. "I'm getting kind of bored."

"Well, be happy you're bored, because you're not going to like what we'll be seeing in Delphia." Crowley said. They were near the town. He could see in the distance, hunderds of lights, little specks of yellow, white and orange in the distance. And the walls. God, they were fortifying the walls. He noticed how they had built a second layer on the wall and had added some wooden constructions that would allow the defenders to drop stones on the attackers. And even now the walls were manned. Archers, a shitload of them, on every tower of the wall. Guards patrolling everywhere.
"Damn. This is even worse than I imagined."
They were getting near the city. He hold up his hand and stopped and expected the rest to follow his fine example.
"I hope Rayl got in, but normally you can't enter the city after dark, unless you're a trader. So... What will be trading in?" He grinned, because he had an awesome idea, involving women and him.

Meanwhile in the city... "Come back here with my chickens!!" a trader yelled at the short thief. "What chickens?" he yelled back as he ran down the street. Ooh, these chickens,Tuatara thought as he headed towards the gates of the city. He had just found the chickens hanging on his belt. Where did they come from? he wondered. Suddenly something whizzed by his head. He looked behind him and saw guards chasing him followed by the crazy trader yelling,"He stole my chickens!!" He raced out the gate and then blacked out....

OoC: I've decided that I found a horse somewhere back, since everybody else has something to ride on.
Richter stopped as Crowley gave the signal. He looked towards the city. "Nothing like fortress fortifications to spice up a mission." Richter rode his horse up to a nearby hill and looked out at the city. Turning around, he rode back to the rest of the crew. "Looking at the level of security in Delphia," he noticed, "I'd have to say we should probably start trying to get ourselves in, in case Rayl and Sireace run into a sticky situation."

"I think I've got it."
Crowley said while listening to Richter. It was quite strange, but all of the sudden there were a few chickens running towards them. In the distance he could see a man being harrassed by a guard. Funny.
"Oi, guys, grab the chickens."
He then run off towards the guard and before the guard could speak he had a sword in his face. He did try to get it out but Crowley did that favour for him. He pulled the sword out and slashed the guy in the neck and stabbed him in the stomach when he felled down. Then he kicked him to be sure he's dead. This is way he wore a red scarf, the blood doesn't make that much difference.
He picked up the fellow lying on the ground and hoped the group will have collected the chickens. They might be vital to their little plan.

Wylie was dozing a bit in the saddle until the kid ran out of the gates, and Crow slashed the guard to death. That woke him up. He quickly looked over towards the city to see if anyone saw the crime, but there didn't seem to be any angry guards running their way.
He raised an eyebow at Crow's plan. "We're pretty well armed for chicken traders."
(OoC: hey should we consider Natalie and Elina no longer part of the group? It's been over a month since either of them posted. Recapping then, is it Me, Crow, Tobie, Richter and Darius in the group outside the gates now? Have I forgotten anyone?)

"Aw, come on. Why do you get to kill people whenever you want but I don't?" Tobias complained after gathering some of the chickens. He tossed them in a sack so they wouldn't get away again before continuing. "Besides, weren't wwe going to be laying low?"

"Yeah, that was my next advice. We sell weapons too from today. How cool is that? And if they ask us why we have only a few chickens we'll tell them we've been robbed and that this was all that was left."
He then looked at the gate this weird, unconscious person must've runned through. He then looked to his left and decided to take another gate. Smart, eh? Crowley is all about cunningness, baby, and he knew it.
"Okay. So, ready?"
Crowley also removed his red scarf for the first time, because it was fair too easy to recognise him with it. Removing the scarf showed some old scars. His neck had scars who seemed to have healed badly, but all by all, he looked okay. He quickly put his collar up and tried to wake the guy he just saved.
"Oi, wake up, we gotta move."

Richter raised his eyebrows. "Chicken and weapon traders?" he asked. "That's a combination I've never heard of before." He adjusted his glasses. "Then again, I can't think of anything else."
Richter looked at the guy Crowley was waking. "Just leave him," he said. "If the guards were after him, we don't want him with us."

"Maybe it'd be valuable to hang on to the kid," Wylie spoke up. "He probably knows more about chickens than any of us, and also some well-known traders in the city. If any guards question our story, he'll be able to cover for us. Assuming we can make it worth his while to stay with us that is."

"I think that can be arranged." He open up a sack and hold it out to everyone.
"Okay. Weapons, give them, fill it." And he shook the bag.
"And Tobias, I kill because it was handy. You kill because you enjoy it."

Richter hesitated. "I don't feel comfortable relinquishing my sword, even if it is for the disguise." He rubbed the hilt of his sword with his thumb. "I know little of chickens, perhaps I could pose as a hired guard? It would be quite prudent to have at least one of us hang on to our weapon in case trouble brews." During his day as a mercenary, Richter had grown accustomed to never taking his sword off of his person. It always seemed that bad things happened right after you let your guard down.

Crowley arched an eyebrow.
"And why is it that you can be the one to carry your weapon, and let's say..." He looked at his healer friend, the drunken mage, the unknown guy and the maniac Tobias.
"Okay. Fine. You can keep your weapon." He sighed and proceeded to the gate. They will have to bluff their way out of it now.
