A servant dashed into Marzius's chambers, coming quickly up to him. The mage lord tensed, but relaxed as he recognized the old servant. "Lars, my good man, sit back, have a drink," he waved off the bustling courtiers and motioned to another servant. The nervous young man stepped forward, producing a bottle of fine liquor. Lars, for his part, simply stood, shifting anxiously from foot to foot. Marzius sipped delicately from a styled class, eying his servant. "Your companions have been busy while you've been diddling around in here," Lars informed Marzius, still not reaching for the alcohol. Marzius smiled, moving the glass to his fingertips. "I expected as much," he told the man, looking up. Lars' face had received several scars during his years of service. The old spy had worked for Marzius's father, and technically still did, except that Marzius paid him better. His heavy burgundy cloak would tangle most blades, those that he didn't dodge himself. "You may have to keep an eye out for that thief," explained Lars. "He could wreck your house of cards." Marzius smiled, sitting down the glass on his chair. He templed his fingers. "Don't worry, I have each card in place. And more up my sleeve. The king should be just getting my message now. It's time to start heading that way. Call the others."

Alexia stretched her muscles, amazed at her increased strength. The crest had worked its magic on her, and even more so on her equipment. Her armor now looked far fancier than it had before, with the lion of Pherae etched on the breastplate. The golden armor gleamed in the light, making even Alexia stare in awe. On a practical side, the armor had grown thicker, and the joints seemed better placed. More movement, more defense, more strength, she even felt more skilled. Grinning, she headed out, part to get fresh air, part to show off some.
A few servants started at her new look, and quite a few maids looked downright astonished. She now stood on par with Marcus, it was time to live up to that legacy.

Mae smiled when she spotted Alexia and waved her over to where the two of them were walking toward the mansion. "Lady Knight Alexia! My your armor looks splendid!" She grinned enviously and hurried over to the changed female knight.

"Hey Alexia. Don't mind the bandages. I got into a barfight... you look pretty... weird? Is it something you did with your hair perhaps? Harhar." Kraft tried to sound as normal as possible.

Alexia nodded at Sergey while walking over to greet Kraft and Mae. "I've promoted, so I'm much stronger," she explained, smiling warmly. "Which is good for all of you." Her gaze went from Mae to Kraft. The two of them seemed a lot friendlier now than earlier. That was good for the whole team. Time to focus on the mission again. "So, 'Lord' Marzius is finally ready to see us?" she asked Sergey, glancing back over her shoulder. "This should be interesting."

"Wait let me call Jacques down." She ran to get him and came back with him dragging behind her.
"Alright then let's go." Mae grinned a bit. "DO we really have to go?"

'I agree with Mea.' Sergey said deadserious. 'We should go AWOL while we still can.'

"Well, at least I've got clothes that suit me." Kraft said while looking at Sergey and Mae.
"Hehe. I don't mind going." Kraft thought that the soldiers of the castle Lord will interfere when something happens. So he felt pretty safe.

'I wish I could say the same.' Sergey said feeling awkward in the fashionable clothes. 'I look dispicable.'

Moments after he'd sent Lars, a familiar face appeared at Marzius's door: Lord Rothgold, one of Marzius's greatest rivals in court. The older man was a consummate jackass, who spent time abusing women and stealing secrets from Marzius and house Reglis. Thankfully, he was also fairly dense... "Well, to what do I owe the pleasure?" asked Marzius, still dangling the goblet in his fingertips. The other lord grinned and stepped towards the lounging mage. "You are a heretic, and should be cleansed," the words spilled out of Lord Rothgold's mouth, but they sounded like they came from someone dead. Marzius's brow crinkled, and set the glass down. "Since when have either of us been religious?" he asked his rival, reaching into the folds of his cloak. "You are a heretic, and should be cleansed," repeated the lord, drawing a steel sword from his robes. Marzius wasted no further time. "We're under attack! To arms!" he cried, drawing a thunder tome out from his robes. "THUNDER!" he cried, snapping a hand out, fingers splayed. The magic lightning sprang from Marzius's fingertips and slammed into Lord Rothgold... doing nothing. "That's interesting," mused Marzius, as he dove out of his chair just in time to avoid a sword swing.

A smile crept onto Alexia's face, driven there by her companions' comments. "Come now, it's nice to see us peasants dressed up for a change. And that dress looks beautiful on you, Mae," she commented, feeling the fabric. Her mouth opened for another comment when she heard a shout, and then the sound of magical thunder. "Sounds like trouble," she said, turning to the mansion. "We should help. Do you have weapons?"

"Of course I have- I mean...Jacques! Go get ready for battle quickly! I'll...improvise!" Putting two fingers in her mouth she let out a shrill whistle and mere seconds later a loud whiny sounded from the stables. Followed by a yell and a crash as Silver burst out of the stables at full speed at Mae.
"I hope Marzius doesn't mind horses in the house!" As the stallion got close Mae grabbed his mane and swung on. She steered the silvery beast toward the mansion doors grabbing a long yard tool on the way.
"Servant open the doors!" The servant obliged hurriedly as she charged the mansion.
"Come on already! I'll be in the front lines everyone else get your weapons!" with that she vanished into the depths of the mansion on the knight's steed.

OoC: we are already in the mansion.
BiC: Sergey kicked down the door and murdered the first servent he layed his eyes on. 'Hah, finally some exitement. First bood since Ostia.'

Kraft smiled at Sergey and nodded. They were both keen on killing somebody. Even if they were on their side. Well, for Kraft everybody (except Mae) was the enemy.
He followed Sergey and took out his sword and stabbed a servant. He quickly searched the servant his pockets and made sure he was dead.
He grinned and said: "Well, Sergey, I guess we DO have something in common."
