After setting everything with the inn's clerk, Matis went to the room next to the reception. The tavern part of the inn was a bit darker than the rest of it, making it actually look more like a real tavern, even if it was still as beautifully decorated as the reception was.
Seeing Saru and Raen over at one of the tables, Matis came closer and sat next to the mercenary. "Hey there" he said to the man that was sitting in the very same table. "The name's Matis. Who might you be?"
The man didn't look like the kind to make trouble, and if he was sitting in the same table, might as well be a potential new ally.

Katara smiled, reassured by Alexia's manner. "I... It could only be one. I only ever... I'm sure the father is Kenshin." She said. "It explains why I've felt so unwell recently... of course! It's as clear as the sky now. This only makes me want to see Kenshin more. He needs to know... Maybe he"ll be more careful about going into danger alone."

Kenshin? Well, that made some sense, though Alexia hadn't realized that Katara and Kenshin had gotten that far in their... relationship.
"Maybe..." she agreed, though not as confidently as Katara. She remember Kenshin, often running off on his own into enemy territory. The man seemed to have a death wish, something that Alexia could understand. There were times when she thought about doing just that: fighting until she passed on. Not much remained for her in this world after all...
"You need to be careful from now on as well," she stated, focusing on Katara. "I can help protect you in battle, it's what my armor's for. I'm not asking you to stay away from battle, none of us can do that now. All I ask is that you allow me to protect you."
She smiled sadly, "Both you and your child's lives are worth more than my own."
She rose to her feet, walking to the door, "Now, I'm going to go get some food for the three of us. That salmon smelled wonderful."

Another one came, his clothing, like that of the others, clearly gave away that he was not from around this part of the continent, and he immediately guessed he was part of the group. Nowadays, traveling alone was as good as signing your own death sentence. Only a few battle hardened idiots, most of them where pirates, and most of them died anyway.
"Ah, it's a pleasure to meet you, let me introduce myself, I am Lewin, a wandering priest. I can say you, this is one delicious salmon!" He laughed and continued to eat.

"It definitely is" Matis said, chewing off part of it.
"So, what are you doing around here? I realize you are a wandering priest, but what are you doing around this part of Etruria?" he asked, somewhat uninterested.
"I always thought it was kind of deserted this much to the south"
The salmon really WAS good. Very good. It had been a long time since he has had fish this good. Last time was when he was a child, one time when the Wind Tiger tribe was close to the eastern coast of Sacae. Matis shook the thought. No time to get all teary for nothing now. He had to remain focused.

A short silence fell when Matis asked him the question, he was still angry at all things happening around. "You must have been away for quite some time, Etruria is changing, for the worse..." Again a silence fell, this one was even worse then the last one. "The faith that stood against these things that where corrupt, it is now corrupt itself, I fear for the worst myself, at the moment, I can just hope for a sign..."
After the third, the longest and most creeping of the pauses, he continued again. "Some.. drastic changes in my life came like a sign to me, to travel and search for the cause of this all." He again turned back to the fish to change the subject, although he was a serious person himself, he disliked being gloomy, it didn't bring him further towards his goal. "Perhaps it would be better to find the recipe of this salmon, that would really allow me to change the world!" He laughed, it was obviously forced though.

Wein walked into the inn to get himself a room. A powerful aroma touched his nose. "Smells good," he thought to himself. He walked up to the receptionist. "One room please." The receptionist handed him the key to his room, and he nodded his head in thanks. He would be glad to get a good night sleep. It had been 2 years since he left home. His wandering didn't leave much room to make money, and thus he used inns sparingly. Most of the time, he'd sleep under a tree, wrapped in his cloak. Hungry for something to eat, Wein walked into the tavern, and got himself a table.

Dirk walked back to the inn and tied Kabold up out front. He walked inside to the tavern where a very fishy smell greeted him. "Urgh... I hate fish." He saw the small group at a table with a new member and joined them. "Matis, it might not be the best time to go to Delfia, I heard rumors of a man taking control of Etruria by St. Elimine's will. I think he might have been influenced by Hargus's false heroes."

Noticing the lively feasting at the table away from him along with the new man who had just walked up to join them, Wein, being curious as he was, went over to go see what the commotion was about. "Must be some really good food from the looks of it..." he muttered to himself.
As he walked over he over heard the end of a man speaking: "...rumors of a man taking control of Etruria by St. Elimine's will. I think he might have been influenced by Hargus's false heroes. Not being one to pass up a potential situation to prove himself, Wein asked: "Wait, Hargus's heroes? In Etruria?" He then quickly paused, realizing his mistake. "Oh, I apologize. My name is Wein...is the fish any good?"

After some time a new companion appeared, the group was larger then he expected... when he heard him talking he finally finished his conclusion. "Ah, so you have been away for some time, haven't you. That new 'prophet' is most likely behind all the madness that is happening lately. I am most sorry that I can't be more helpful, after I had some... discussion, perhaps that is the best way to call it. Anyway, I have been traveling since."
Seemingly no time had passed and someone walked up to the group, this one did not seem to be a member of the group, although the only reason he thought so was because of his clothing. "Are you here for the fish, or the adventure, young man. Don't worry, I am old, or rather... experienced."
With a smile on his face he continued. "Of course, if you could help me in my search to find the reason behind this all, I would be glad to assist you in your journeys. My capabilities with a staff might prove helpful."

First a cleric. Now a bowman too. News of people rising to power feeding off Hargus' hand didn't really startle Matis, though.
"It's only natural that something like this would happen" he said, drinking some fresh water from his glass. He had decided to avoid alcohol, at least this once. "Normally, I'd disagree and ask you all to come help me take the man down, but we have more...pressing matters"
A false prophet...interesting
The cleric was now officially a part of the team, as he seemed rather determined to come with them. And an archer wouldn't do them any bad. He let the older(and probably more experienced) man take care of that, though.

Wein turned to the preist. "Adventure and fish sound good to be completely honest," he said has he ran his hand through his hair. "I haven't gotten much of either lately, though. I've been wandering the world for a good 2 years now. I've picked up on a lot of things, seen many places, helped many people." Wein sighed, and then continued. "None if it seems to satisfy me."
He turned to what seemed to be the leader of the group, the brown haired man dressed in blue, and asked, "Mind if I join you on your...pressing matters?"

Quite some time had already passed when the pirate finally returned. Luckily they went where to the place he advised, making them a lot easier to find. Now the time came to wait until everything was ready for departure, if everything went well they could leave tomorrow morning. Things did never run that smooth though, so he was still cautious, if someone targeted them they would most likely burn the building to ashes.
Tonight he would just rest outside, he knew the owner really good, so it wouldn't be a problem. Entering the inn he first searched for the others, he soon found them eating salmon. Now he had to report that everything would be ready soon, and get some of the fish. After that he would just ask a blanket from the owner and try to get some sleep. Something was going to happen, that was the only thing he could ensure.
"Ay, everything should be ready tomorrow, ye should get some rest and prepare for the journey, we'll be going around noon, if everything goes alright. Now get me some salmon, I am starving, ey!" With these words he sat down, ignoring the new faces.

"Sure, you can tag along" Matis said. Shortly after that, Abin sat down after giving his speech. "Thanks Abin"
Matis had already satiated his hunger and was ready to go lay down for a while. Ostia, no, Bern was close. Would they finally face Hargus, once and for all? He still remembered last time they had met the leader of the bandits. Jaffer had died from a very strong blunt hit to the face then, and Matis had had no option but to get Hargus stuck to a tree while everyone escaped, along with the help of Ilia's pegasus army.
Hopefully, things would be different this time around.

Katara laughed and sat down on the bed. A thousand thoughts raced through her head, the least of all being if she and Kenshin would live long enough to have the baby. She looked at her clothes, which were weather and fight worn. She gabbed some cloth and thread from her bag. After digging around a bit more, she found a needle and began to repair her Sacaen warrior's robes as her mother had shown her, so long ago. Could she handle being a mother?
