Hargus half frowned at Yaen, he'd missed a cleaving blow. No matter, the boy would soon be dead anyway. As he whirled around, he kicked out at the boy, knocking him away. Alan was charging him, and so was Matis, and from the side he noticed a cavalier charging as well...he wasn't going to get out of this unscathed, and he knew it. But Matis was using a weak blade, that would be the hit to take.
And all it would take to end this was a moment of hesitation. A moment of delay.
An arrow striking into his left eye did nicely. It was not a killing shot, as was hoped, but stunned the bandit leader for a brief moment as he cried out in pain, now blind in one eye. The anguished shout was silenced by a large blade piercing his chest, and a thin sword ripping into his side. There was silent for a moment, a brief, deafening silent as even the battle of the dragons could not be heard. Indeed it seemed the entire world held it's breath.
And then, time resumed as one last blow was struck. A lance, being carried on horseback connected cleanly with the mighty bandit king's side, and knocked him away. In normal situations, Alan would have been able to retain his sword after such a strike, and he nearly did as it ripped almost half way through the leaders gut. However his strength failed, and both his and Matis swords flew from their hands, clattering against the ground. It was only with the body of the Bandit King Hargus, nearly ripped in two, arrow shaft protruding from his eye, that these blades fell.
As Hargus' body rolled lifelessly, the black stone rolled from his torn garments, and slid against the wall. One would notice the other dragon ceased it's attacking, and immediately released Aeros.
Was it finally over?

Rayl was shocked. Not just shocked actually. He felt humbled, dazed, and confused ( Led Zepplin reference maybe?) as if he was lost in fog. It was over? Just like that? His lance had been the one to finish off the Great Bandit King, who caused all this pain and suffering...? The old Rayl would be happy now, the thoughts of being part of the greatest story of all time as a holy knight like Barigan...
...but the new Rayl wasn't like that. He calmly lowered his lance, wiping the blood of it's tip against the ground, and trotted slowly back to Matis, his face pale,"...It's over now...huh...? So...what happens now...?"

Alan caught the Vulenary and used it up as fast as he could. He then sat down on the ground. It had been one long day. 'I say we burn his corpse for good measure.'

Kenshin had watched Hargus being slain with his arms still around Katara. Was it finally over or was he just playing possum? Kenshin had let go of Katara and walked towards the 'corpse' drawing his sword. As he got close enough he had thrust it into Hargus's throat and twisted the blade. "Can't take the risk of a possum attacking while our guard is down right? After all these years of fighting and growing stronger it's over." Leaving the blade where it was he had walked back to Katara and put his arms around her again.
"I would of never imagined I would have a child on the way in the future before it was over, or even a loving wife?(OoC:This is Kenshin basically asking Katara to take his hand in marriage now.)" Turning to look at Matis. "I was going to start a new tribe, one for Saceans without a home and have it be stationary near where it all had started for us. I would be honored to have my cousin, no you have and always will be like a brother to me, join me in this village. What do you say?"

Matis let his body fall on the floor. He hadn't had a real moment of rest since before the whole deal at Etruria, since the campfire only lasted so much before Athos brought them all to Bern.
"It IS over, for now" Matis managed to reply to Rayl's question before Kenshin suddenly decided to stab his sword through Hargus' throat.
"One would think that a body split in half would be enough proof for death, but whatever. I'll gladly join you in Sacae. I guess we have earned our time of rest already"
"Oh, and Rayl" he said, standing up. He picked up the Slim Sword, cleaned it up with whatever remained of his coat and handed it back to the Cavalier. "Thanks".

Is it...over? Aeros was almost too exhausted to care, but he did feel a slight flash of triumph. I guess...it was all worth it. But now he was tired, so tired. He didn't feel it as the other dragon released him, hardly felt the rocks, spears, and shards of armor that poked him as he slowly rolled over on his belly. Who cared if he couldn't transform right now? Who cared if exhaustion had made him deaf, his mind clouding as he sank into sleep... It didn't matter. He was too tired, and so he sank into unconsciousness.

" Your welcome, Sir Matis."
Rayl slowly took grasp of the sword, before returning it to his sheath, muttering to himself on how he'd learn to use it properly someday. Oddly enough he had decided against retiring into Sacae, and instead returning to Pherae to continue his service as a knight. This may have been over for now, but bad things were happening in Etruria, and this would soon spread...he could feel it...
...or maybe what he felt was exhaustion it didn't matter. He dismounted from his ( STIL unnamed) Bernese Horse, patting it on the side and running a hand down it's mane, a weak smile on his face," I believe I'll call you... Elibe. We traveled just about all around this entire land of ours together, so it's only fitting, eh?"
With this dilema gone, he then addressed the red haired Sacaen and apparent cousin of Sir Matis," Sir Kenshin I believe? If you do not mind a foreigner tagging along, I'll help you build this village of yours."

It seemed to be over for now, there was still the dragon, but it had stopped fighting. "Kenshin, I have no home to return to. Before this I wandered from city to city, pub to pub. I would be honored to join your new tribe."

Katara smiled and said, "Yes, Sacae will make a great home. The rolling plains and fresh air... Many people will come in order to find peace in life. It will not be easy to rebuild from nothing, but I believe the rewards will be great..." She held her abdomen with one hand and hung on the Kenshin with the other.
