After Papilion fell off his horse he knew he couldn't get back on quick enough before the battle finished. So he just sat on his new seat and hoped no more bandits came to attack him. He proved lucky.
After the battle he shakely stood up using his spear as a walking stick. Looking at the three dead bodies he relized something. "Hey guys, we have enough meat now to last us for quite awhile. Though that ones a little burnt."
He didn't mean it but he was curious to see how they would react.

"Well as far as I can see, these bandits were simply looking to take advantage of a lone traveler. Apparently they 'worked' here. As for myself-" Errol's face contorted in disgust as his mind registered the fat cavalier's words and he turned to face him directly. "WHAT?"

It had been a couple of days since Hiro had left Kraft's castle. He had mapped out the path he was going to take to get to Arphen, made a copy and gave it to the men that Kraft had appointed to him. To avoid suspicion he had them leave hours after him and to keep their pace to match his. He heard the sound of combat, a loud slamming sound with a slight shake, and smelt something burning. Looking he saw what had just be a fight between a beached whale, a smokin hot girl, and two young boys.
Using his skills of moving quietly he had made his was towards a bush that was somewhat close to listen in on where they were heading, if they spoke about it. As he knelt into place he snapped a twig, he stayed still. He knew if he was to react to his mistake it would be better off yelling that he was there, he only hoped that they didn't hear it or paid attention to it.

"I am not against killing bandits. But one thing's for sure: I am not eating them" Gabriel said after Papilion's remark.
"Glad we could help out, mister...wait, you have yet to give us your na-". Just as he was about to finish the sentence, Gabriel thought he had heard a sound. It was a faint one, sure, but who was to say that there weren't any more bandits out there?
"Did I go insane or did you all hear that just now too?" Gabriel asked in a low tone of voice, hoping to avoid raising the awareness of whoever was there. "Were there any more following you?" he then whispered.

"As far as I could tell, no." Errol hissed in response. He considered the possibilities. Another Bandit or a thief? Possible. A spy for the prophet? Why would the prophet care what they were planning? If he knew about him, he'd just have them killed.
Pretending nothing had happened, Errol got around to introducing himself. "My name is Errol, a recent graduate of Anima magic. Otherwise I'm no one of importance," he continued in a whisper, "Don't say too much yet. If there's really someone there, we need to draw him out."

"Agreed" Gabriel whispered in response.
"Nice to meet you, Errol. My name is Gabriel, this is Jya" he said, pointing at her, "and that one over the bandit is Papillion". Gabriel stopped for a moment to see if he could hear any other sounds. All was silent. He took a breath. "We were just passing by and decided to stop and camp in the forest." he then added.
They didn't really need to share the whole story with a newcomer, and Gabriel himself wanted to talk as little as possible. He was sure he had heard a sound, but...what if he was just imagining things? No. Probably not. He had always trusted his own judgement, and would continue to do so until the end of time. Or the end of his life, whichever came first.

The kid stopped talking mid word. Then Hiro heard quite mumbling then normal talking. Did they seriously think they were dealing with an idiot? He knew they were trying to act as if they didn't hear a thing. Jya, that was the name of the beauty. Hiro decided it would be best to wait it out, to play along with the children. Maybe he could learn something else about this 'Jya' girl.

"Do you mind if I join you for now?" Errol asked, looking at the corpses strewn around, "I just discovered how dangerous it is to travel alone these days."

Jya tried to wash the taste of blood out with water she gathered a few days back. The giant man was useful after all, he can crush just about any enemy that comes their way...literally. She was certain that there was someone watching, but it was best to not get too ahead and alert everyone. Instead she got up and started to poke around the fire.
"So what now?"

"I don't mind you joining us at all." Gabriel said, coming closer to the fire, but still not feeling safe enough to sit down, his hand being still on his tome. "So...a recent Anima graduate, you say?" he asked to the newcomer. "I wish I had more time to practice on my magic. It's annoying how the higher ups decided that only the very last year of training involves the actual practice of magic. The first four years of the history of magic, different types, chants and what not seem pointless now, seeing how I can't make a decent fireball even half of the time"
Gabriel wanted to make the chat sound as casual as possible, as if they had forgotten about the sound. Hopefully, whoever or whatever was there had left already. He also intentionally skipped Jya's question. He was not about to blurt out their plans until he was sure there was no one else around.

"Well, there is a solution to that; although practice in the field has it's dangers, I've heard it can be very effective." Errol considered his next words carefully. Where had the sound come from again? "Try attacking that bush."

Gabriel understood what Errol was getting at. The sound had come from roughly around there. He took his tome out from under his cloak and opened it on page 6. He started mumbling incessantly. Page 6 had a slighly longer chant than the normal one. A "fool proof", so to speak. It was said that said chanting gave the user higher dominance over the elements, if only for a little while, at the cost of tiring the user faster than the normal casting.
"Fire!" he shouted, aiming at the bush. Indeed, a fireball had materialized, and was now speeding towards the pinpointed bush.

OoC:Exact casting from a trainee? That's so fair... Yours can do anything yet mine can't do a simple thing...
BiC: The bush had started to burn near him. The first thing that was seen was his hands, raised in a 'surrender' posseion then he stood up. "Please hold your... fire. I...." Hiro had paised for a few moments. "I am a lonely Hermit. I stayed in a small hut not far from here till a few days ago till some thugs destroyed it. I saw the smoke so I came to see it was, and hoped to make some friend." He then gave a shy smile.

"Wow, people are coming by the minute now!" Pappy remarked as the hermit popped out. "Lets really get out of here, before more bandits come." Speaking to the hermit and trying to sound friendly he said,
"We're going to the nearest city ...I think, not a place hermits like to go. but you can travel with us if you want." It came out more like a scowl but he tried. The more people the better, he thought, as the less likely bandits would go for them, and ultimately him.
He then decided to start trying to get on his horse as it took sometimes 5 minutes

"So you're a hermit?" Jya asked looking the man in the eye. Even though the night was as bright, it helped to find out the truth. You can really tell who a person truly is like within their eyes, but she hadn't really understood the whole concept...at all. It was still interesting looking at all the different eye colors in people.
"Well prove it, empty your pockets and stuff." she commanded very nicely, she wasn't the leader type at all. However the way he said things doesn't seem right. A hermit is someone who stays by themselves, why start being social now?
"Or I'll bite..."
