The High Inquistor's Office

[Hiro]

The messenger that Kraft had sent went to a guard to have them seize Hiro. Even though he had been working for Kraft there were a few that knew he was, only the closest ones to Kraft knew. As he was heading to the door to score something to eat he was stopped. "You, come with us peacefully and you're not going to be hurt." Hiro shook his head "Pft, if you knew the people I know you wouldn't speak to me like that. Alright let's go."

It was was the same old thing that happened when Kraft wanted to speak to him. As he made it to the castle Kraft's personal body guard took over the 'escort to the cell' process. "So, what's the news. Kraft wants me to plan evidence again or something? Or is it to take some of the hoooooooot clerics for a 'test drive', I so hope it's that." The guard just chuckled, first time Hiro said that he almost cried from laughing at his dreams.

When they had got there the guard knocked three times then opened the door. "Don't work to hard man, catch ya at the pubs later." Hiro said as he walked in. The door had shut behind him, turning and locking it Hiro turned back. "So how many clerics you letting me have my way with today, boss?"

[Kraft]

Kraft looked up from his writing and rubbed his eyes. He hated the disrespectful way the Thief talked to him, but he was very... useful. Hiro was Kraft's way of getting stuff done without being linked to something.

"Hiro, please. We've been over this." He said, very quietly, trying to spare his voice. He was so tired. His eyes were bloodred and his medics had told him to stop over-working himself. But Kraft liked to arrange as much as he could himself. And there was always the secret drinking. One of his medics had subtly told Kraft that his liver was acting up and that that could be the cause of his problems; he told Kraft that he probably was an alcoholic. Noone had seen the man again. Rumour had it he fell down the stairs and conviently broke his neck.

"Now, Hiro, I've been pleased with your work here, but I'm sure others can do it as well. I need you for a more... spectacular task. I'm sure you remember the men and women that killed the ancient heroes, such as Saint Elimine? Mmm? Good."

Kraft stood up and shuffled towards the window, which he opened slightly. It was a breezy afternoon and it started raining a bit. He inhaled some fresh air and folded his hands behind his back. With his back to Hiro he started talking.

"Listen, you know I've been busy gathering troops. You know, the muscles. But what I need is some brains and more importantly eyes. I want you to go to heretic lands; Sacae, Ostia, Laus, whatever. And be my eyes. Tell me their troop strength, their positions and assassinate their leaders. Oh, but more importantly, this group of heretics that was responsible for Elimine's death... I want them all dead. Find them and eliminate them. That's your top-priority. Other spies can give me info, but you know the faces of some of them. You have a lead."

Kraft bowed his head down and coughed ever so silently in his fist. He was so frail, but his mind had never been sharper. He could feel the fire of Faith burning through his bones and his ambition knew no bounds. Hiro was a difficult person, but Kraft believed truely that he and Hiro could work together.

"Now, Hiro, I'm sure you won't dissappoint me. The past years have been a blessing for us both. It brought us money, power and women. For you, at least." Kraft smiled faintly. "If you need something for this... mission, then tell me... Oh, and Hiro. Watch your mouth."

Kraft went back to his chair and took up his pen and started working again. He looked up after writing a bit and waved at Hiro.

"That's all. Thank you. May Saint Elimine watch over you."

[Hiro]

"You've got a lot of two faced scum in your army. They claim they believe yet they don't. But them people from years ago." Hiro shivered. "They were insane, we were teleported to Bern some how then a red headed Sacean took off charging in on that bandit king. Then along with that man with the Bern armor. Along with the one that fought in the town shortly before we ended in Bern. I swear to go-Elimine that one.... one... demon person wouldn't stop charging till the last of his life force left his body. The scary thing was he was stopped by one of the people you're wanting me to find.

"Them three alone were crazy, their allies were almost as strong as them. They even had a dragon with them. Do you seriously think I can kill them? If it's alright I'm going to have to bring some of your newbies with me. Like a lot of them."

Hiro started to pace back and forth with his hand on his chin, the elbow was resting on his right hand which his arm was across his gut. "Do you remember the ones that were the ones that killed the 'great' Elimine?"

[Kraft]

Kraft started shivering. Then he stood up and hit his desk with his hand.

"ENOUGH!" His eyes had a sickinly red colour and his lips were shaking. A small speck of drool had landed on his desk and his expression was one of wild rage. It dissappeared and he managed to get a hold of himself. He sunk back into his chair.

"You... you talk of them as if... if... as if they can't be stopped! They will be stopped Hiro, they will be stopped. There isn't a force in this world that can stop our armies. Mountains can be moved and rivers can be dammed. Whole cities and countries will burn for us. Do you really think that a few, lowly LICE can stop ME?"

After pausing he stood up and walked to Hiro. He put his hand on Hiro's shoulder.

"You'll get everything you need, Hiro. Anything. Do not fear them, they are mortal. Dragons can be killed and humans even quicker. Ask and you shall receive..."

Kraft walked back to his desk and got a few papers out and started writing a little note on it. Then he signed it, duplicated it and put a stamp and a seal on both of them.

"Take this one. This will cover all costs and will put you in charge of all our agents in foreign countries. You'll get the information from the assassins I'll be sending with you. You'll be leading them. They are skilled men, Hiro. Lead them with pride. Show the world that Etruria is now a force to be reckoned with and let Elimine quide your sword. Bring me the heads of these traitors."

Kraft walked back to his desk again and took a bunch of papers out.

"This are the descriptions of the men that killed our Saint. Seek them out. Find their friends. Kill them all. Their families, their friends, all of them... Do this, Hiro, be my eyes, be my blade. Find Lumino, Matthias, Alexia, ... find them all..."

Kraft went back to his seat once again and wiped his forehead with the back of his hand. He looked back up to Hiro and showed a genuine smile.

"Please."

[Hiro]

"They killed your great Elimine and you still think they can be killed easily? If they were working together before what makes you think they're going to split. If you saw what I did five years back you would understand. There were rumors in the prison cells, that Elimine was brought back through black magic by the Bandit King Hargus. If that's true and he had that much power what does that mean about the ones who killed him." Hiro wasn't giving Kraft a chance to respond, he clearly gone made. "You better have my clerics ready for me when I return." He slammed the door as he exited the room.

[Kraft]

"Those are LIES!" Kraft yelled after Hiro. He stood up and locked his door. Slowly he stumbled back to his secret drinking cabinet and poured himself a drink.

"Oh, Saint Elimine..."

After drinking a few in silence, his eyes regained their fierceness and hatred.

"You WILL be avenged, my lady."
