OoC:I think we weren't sure who should post.I was kind of waiting for Zakon.
IC:Abel went over to the counter and asked for a steak and water, then paid for it. When he got his food he went and sat back down.He heard the newcomer ask their names and decided to answer.
"My name is Abel, but isn't it polite to introduce yourself first?"
Abel put his food down on the table, and put his coins back in his bag.

Rayl nodded his head to the rider of the wyvern outside, before listening as a bard began to sing a song of Crowley the Magnificent. Carefully Rayl wrote down the exact words that escaped the bard's lips, before he sat up from his seat and walked over to where they serenaded the crowds, and placed a pretty nice amount of coins in the hat that lay upon the counter besides them. the two exchanged a brief nod of thanks, before the knight turned his back and headed right on back outside, and past the wyvern that sat at the entrance to the stables, making a mental note on how they were the cousins of dragons, before taking the apple form his pocket, and holding it out to his old friend, who began to munch upon the fruit's flesh, as the knight stroked Elibe's mane for awhile, before rummaging through the saddle bag, and put the story and ballad amongst the rest of his collection of stories of Crowley: There was one more person he had to find a way to pay back as well...
...with this, he then returned on inside to buy himself a room for the night, before returning to his comrades.

Fargo had stayed silent as the others spoke. After a while of listening to them, he decided to get something to drink. Fargo went up to the counter, and asked the bartender politely, "May I order some water?" The man nodded, and filled a mug of sorts. Fargo payed what he had to, and silently drank the cooling liquid. It felt good, being that they had traveled all day, and he wasn't able to have anything to drink.
As he sat on that stool, Fargo looked back at his comrades. They seemed to be fine, so he went about his business drinking the water. When he finished, he wasn't sure what to do. Fargo simply ran his hand through his hair, and waited for something to happen.

Garnet laughed as he caught the tale end of of the bards performance. What an incredible hero he must've been to have inspired songs and tales.
Garnet called the innkeeper over and ordered his dinner. Two rolls, an apple, and a bit of something called a strip steak.
He finished eating his meal before paying, and then heading upstairs.
"I think I'll turn in for a while." Garnet said to the others. Probably the whole night... He had already had enough practice with his sword, earlier that day while fighting for his life.
When he got to the room Sir Rayl had provided for him, he went inside and began taking his armor off. It felt good to relax his shoulders after the hours he had spent wearing it. Although, he thought to himself, I've been wearing it so much recently that it might as well be a second skin. Setting his gear in the corner, he sat himself down by the window to watch the day and rest.

OOC: For the sake of moving and change to believe in, I timeskip us so we don't spend the entire roleplay sitting in a bar...
IC: The next morning, Rayl awoke in his room, slowly and painfully rising from it's uncomfortable mattress, and climbed off, the dent that his armor (for he was so used to wearing his he hardly removed it) left within it would probably last a lifetime. He readied his equipment that he brought inside, and then proceeded down the halls, and gave two polite, yet loud, knocks on each of his comrades doors, before heading on down the stairs and right on out the door, to check up on Elibe: They should get moving as soon as possible.

Two resounding knocks rang off the door to Garnet's room. The swordsman awoke and opened his eyes, resting a moment longer. After hearing the footsteps continue on down the hall, he arose, slung on the worn armor he had removed the night before, and grabbed his bag from the corner of the room.
He hurried down to the common room and dropped his bags near the inn's entrance. He turned towards the barkeep and was about to ask if there was any breakfast available, when he heard a horse's whinny come from the stable. This brought his faithful steed to mind. Ah, Fable. I should go and take care of him before I breakfast.
As Garnet entered the stables, he saw Rayl down near Elibe, and nodded a greeting. The red-head turned and began seeing to his own horse's needs. Fable, his own horse, he had taken in for the past few months. He had done so out of necessity, as well as in memory of a friend. Garnet was now beginning to wonder if he would have the ability to care for the horse. True, if he kept Fable, he would be able to travel faster, but would it make a difference? Not as long as he was traveling with this group. More than that though, was it right for him to ride a horse untrained for war, given his profession? Garnet himself didn't even have any training for mounted combat. Maybe Sir Rayl could help him get a little more finesse into his riding. Or maybe he should find a place to sell Fable, at least that way he may be spared the blood a mercenary sees. He'd have to think about it more.

Knock! Knock!
Fargo jumped up as he heard the loud sounds. He sprang upright, still half asleep. As he did, Fargo grabbed for his bow, and pulled the string back, not realizing that there was no arrow. After a few seconds, he was fully awake, not sure why he was drawing back on his bow, with no arrow. The young bowman felt stupid, as he usually did when he messed up. He relaxed his readied arm, slowly undrawing his bow. Fargo suddenly remembered why he woke up, and cursed to himself. For all he knew, the group already left without him. Without a moments delay, Fargo leapt from his bed and hurriedly got dressed. Once completed, he held his bow firmly in his hand, and left the room.
He just missed Garnet as he left through the door, as the bowman came crashing down the stairs. Fargo flung himself to the bar, not even noticing his surroundings. If there was a comrade behind him, Fargo didn't see. However, the bartender did see him coming, and walked over to the young man with mild look of surprise on his face. "Well, " began the man, "What can I get you this morn'?" Fargo said to the man, still panting from his short run, "Just a warm biscuit and some water, please." The bartender told him the amount he needed to pay. With a look of relief, the bowman found his money, and paid for his meal, fumbling every now and then. Now, all Fargo had to do was wait for his meal.

One of the Innkeepers had knocked on the door of Zakon's room to awaken the customer. But as it happened, he had been awake in bed for quite a while. "I suppose that was my signal to leave." he mumbled to himself as he sat up on his bed. He quickly checked that his dragonstone was still in his pocket (it was) and strode over to the door. Once he left his room, Zakon carefully retraced his steps from the previous night. The inn wasn't an especially large building, and the path was straightforward; but the hallway gave Zakon the idea of a labyrinthine trap. It probably had something to do with the fact that his true form's size was comperable to the building. Fortunately it didn't take long to reach the relative open space of the bar. Zakon smiled slightly upon seeing Fargo sitting agitatedly. "Have you any special plans for the morning?"

Rayl returned the nod when his companion, Garnet, entered the stables, while the knight patted Elibe on the side before hefting up a bucket of oats with some sliced carrots in it (which was SO conveniently there!) and hooking it onto a, well hook, on the outside of the stall door, allowing his trusted steed and friend to munch upon it's favorite meal. With this, Rayl slowly sank onto a chair, feeling it sag slightly under the weight of himself and his armor, before addressing the mercenary with a fairly odd question:
"You're from Etruria, correct?"

Garnet looked up from stroking his horses head, glancing towards the Knight. He left Fable munching happily on some of the grain the inn had provided, and walked a little closer to Rayl. Leaning back against the wall, he looked at the horses.
He answered after a moment's pause. "I suppose so. That's where I was raised. It was a beautiful land, the region where I lived. Small gorges, in open fields. Streams, and mountains."
Garnet trailed off, realizing that the knight hadn't asked to hear his whole life's story. In the past, people had told Garnet that he rambled as much as the old men of the village. He smiled sorrowfully at these memories.
"Do you know Etruria?" Garnet asked looking over at the seated knight.

Fargo suddenly jumped in his seat from the sudden question. He turned sharply to where the voice came from. He relaxed as Fargo realized it was just Zakon. He sighed, and chuckled at himself a bit. Fargo then answered, " G' morning Zakon. I actually was getting some breakfast, and hoping that the others left." He suddenly realized that if Zakon was here, then the others couldn't have gone. Just to be safe, he asked, "Say, the others didn't, like, ditch us, did they?"
Just then, the innkeeper came out with the archer's order. On the plate, which the man put down on the bar, was a biscuit, and a glass of water. Fargo was about to dig in on his small meal, but decided to wait. He did not want to be rude in front of an acquaintance.

"Etruria..." the name was obviously not in the knight's favor, the distain was clear in his voice," The land where St. Elimine founded her religion that spreads to this day...I may be a devote follower, but some people...take her words too far..." his right hand clenched into a fist as his other tightly grasped his lance," They call that fool a prophet, but what good are words of peace and charity if you instead insist on war and terror. Killing innocents who travel into your cities, accusing loyal followers heretics...I tell you, that 'Prophet' is going to cause another war...If I could, I'd ride on in there and stop him myself...but the duty of a knight is the shield not the spear...my lord comes first." he began relaxing here, Elibe, who had also seemed to tense up, relaxed and went back to eating as well," So tell me then, what is it like living under the thumb of a madman?"

Garnet's face darkened to a terrifying scowl as Rayl spoke of the Prophet. His rage at the loss of his home and family burned in his eyes like the fires of the dragons of old, wrestling to be loosed on the one responsible for his pain. Rayl had reawakened the wounds that Garnet struggled to control.
"The Prophet! Bah!" The venom in Garnet's words was unmistakable. There was a wild look coming into his eyes."The Prophet is a man who rouses the people to levels of discrimination that should never be reached. He and his followers whip their congregations into frenzies against those who "profane the Light of Elimine"! Nevermind the fact that the targets of these mobs weren't heratics until it became convenient for them to disappear!"
Garnet took a deep breath and realized he had started pacing up and down the path. His expression frosted over as he regained a semblence of calmness and turned to the knight. He didn't yet wish to reveal how personal this was for him, but he felt that an explanation was due the other man for his vehemence.
"I'm sorry, Sir Rayl...for my display...,but I've seen an entire village destroyed by his zealots. I know that most of his followers are merely led along by their leaders, and don't truly mean evil, but I won't stand by idly and wait for it to happen again. That's why i'm traveling. To train for the day when I may have it in my power to stop these tragedies from happening."
Secretly, Garnet also hoped for a day when he could stand over the Prophet and exact vengeance for the death of his family, friends, and happy life. The merc was glad that at least a knight like Rayl was not taken in by the claims of a "new dawn for man".
Actually, after Garnet had listened to Sir Rayl, it sounded like the knight may know, more personally than some, of the Prophet.

Unlike Garnet, Rayl was obviously more in control of his actions when anger rose up, so instead of making some big fiery speech like he would have years back, simply stated: "I've seen him face to face on the field of battle." before getting up and heading on out of the stables," Garnet, you better get something to eat as well," he started, before inching around the wyvern of Eragon," You'll be wanting something in your stomach before we head off. We'll be riding til we reach Laus at nightfall, maybe even the afternoon if we were to head off in the next half hour." with this, he swung open the door, and re-entered the inn, taking a seat along with Fargo, who was busy conversing with that mysterious man Zakon, before ordering himself a cold biscuit and some water,
"Yall better hurry up and eat, we'll be leaving soon."
