Zakon quickly ordered the same as the rest. He had worked out the prices last night and found that he did actually have enough to pay (though he wasn't sure how he did). The order came and was paid for quickly, letting Zakon turn his attention back to the others. "In which direction are we headed?" he asked Rayl before starting on his bread.

Garnet took a few more moments to make sure he was he had a grip on himself. He hadn't really had a chance to vent the anger and frustration of his recent past. Now he was frustrated with himself for letting it loose near someone who was helping him.
He headed inside and, though he didn't have much of an appetite at the moment, the smell of sizzling bacon in the back brought his hunger around full swing. Sadly, he didn't think that they would have time for a large meal before they left. He ordered some "quick food" from the innkeep and payed for it, eating a couple rolls with some of the honey the inn used slathered over it, and pocketing some of the fruit for later.
"Some of our companions must sleep like the dead." The Merc said over toward the group he was traveling with. He saw that Fargo and Zakon had come down and were already eating.

Fargo was expecting a response from Zakon, when the others came in. It was a relief seeing them walk through the door, meaning that they didn't forget about him.
He heard Garnet openly talk about the others who didn't get up. Fargo then asked, "Shouldn't we wake the other two up?" The archer was trying to be nice, not wanting the same fate he had worried about befall the others. His question was open to the whole group.

OoC:Hey I wanted to do the cool draw your weapon thing. IC:Abel's eyes fluttered open and a sudden panic hit him as he saw the light through the window.Rats, I hope they didn't leave me. He threw his blanket off and put his shirt on. He quickly strapped his sword to his waist, grabbed his bag off armor and exited the room in a not-so orderly fashion. His armor clanked as he ran down the hall to the bar area only to see everyone but the blue haired boy present.
"Um... Hi guys, sorry 'bout the noise thought you might of left me."
His armor clanked in the background, and it was then he realized the pain in his arm and the blood running down it.

Eragon woke up and put his shirt on. He walked over to his armor and put it on. I wonder if those people are still here or if they ditched me like most people. He grabbed his lance and went down stairs. What do you know they didn't ditch me. "Hello" he said,"I'm going to go feed my wyvern if you need me". But I doubt you will... He walked up to the inn keeper "I need four steaks and some water," he said. The man stared at him."Three of the steaks are for my wyvern not me, and make that five glasses of water and a bucket." He paid the man. Jeez why couldn't the man just give me what i ask for? He walked outside to the stables. "Hey Bane how are ya?" he said as he gave the animal the food and water. "I'll see you in a little while buddy." He walked back into the inn and sat down at a table he ate his steak and drank his water. Then he went to join the others. He sat down beside Rayl. "So, do you have any time to help me with my lance problem?" he asked Rayl.
OoC:Is anything really going to happen and where are we headed to?

OoC: I'm going to post, because this thread needs to move forward. And I'm bored. BiC: Fargo muttered to himself, "Well, that's one problem solved." He then examined the group, and thought it was amazing how diverse it was. There was a honor-bound knight, a couple of sword wielders from afar. Then there was Zakon, who didn't fight with a weapon, and that wyvern rider... who Fargo couldn't remember the name of at the moment. Last but not least, there was him, the novice bowman. Fargo could imagine any more people joining them now. He wanted to talk, but it was difficult. Fargo had attempted to make a conversation with Zakon, but he seemed to be preoccupied with his own personal matters. Rayl was a good man, but he seemed to be the leader, and was always assisting others. It was nice of him to be so helpful, so the bowman didn't want to take too much time away from him. The one who truly stood out was Garnet. Being quite the mercenary, Fargo wanted to know what it was first like for him, if it was hard for him to attack. To kill. The bowman had finished his petite sized breakfast, but the size didn't matter. Fargo had his own food if he starved on the way. He then stood up from his stool, and walked over to Garnet, just feet away. The bowman then spoke up, saying to the mercenary, "Hey, um, Garnet, can I talk to you for a bit?" Fargo spoke to him in a voice that was not pleading, but still a little urgent. His deep blue eyes had a softer look to them.

Garnet waved in greeting when Abel came in, and grinned at the clanging racket his armor was making in the sack. Though smile was replaced with a frown when he saw the blood trailing down the other swordsman's arm.
"Gah! You'd better get that tended to, boy" Garnet said to Abel. Despite only being a scant six years older, "boy" was still the first word that came to mind. Perhaps because of his position in the militia back home, he was falling back into those speech habits.
Eragon, the wyvern rider from the day before came down, and stunned the innkeeper by asking for four steaks....Heh, I don't know wyverns, but I imagine that three steaks would only be a warm up for the main course...
Garnet heard the young bowmen, Fargo speak to him from across the table. He had seemed shy at first, and they hadn't spoken much.
"Sure Fargo," Garnet said getting up and moving to a closer seat. "That was quite a bout the other day. I'm glad you guys showed up when you did."
Garnet had already had his rant for the last few months, and was feeling calmer, almost introspective. He realized that Rayl had reacted in just exactly the way that was best for him. Listening to Garnet's problem without "stoking the fire" so to speak. It was becoming more apparent to Garnet, their leader had seen alot.

OoC: Well Eragon, if you actually read ANY of the posts that have been on this SEVEN PAGE thread, you'd have learned we are on a trip to Laus. But if you want, we COULD just sit around here and have a barbecue.
Rayl was pretty tired, he got that way when he looked back at his time in Etruria and Bern, but that was in the past, and he had some things to do. First off, he began to eat his food, keeping to himself for the time being, before looking up to Abel and his bleeding arm," You should tend to that wound, my friend. Do you perhaps have a vulnerary you can use?" again being formal with his remarks to others, he then made sure he was facing the rest of the group,
"Alright now, we will be departing for laus in a matter of moments, we may just be able to get there before sundown. If you have a mount, give someone else a lift." This was directed to Garnet and Eragon, along with himself, of course.

"Alright," Zakon said, as he stepped out the door. 'Hopefully nothing will happen to delay us on this journey to 'Laus'', he considered as he turned towards the stables.
His eyes widened as he saw that beside his companion's horses was teathered a black Wyvern. 'I thought my count hadn't been incorrect. He must be the mount of that black armored man who seems to have joined us since last night.' he reasoned, 'I'd heard that humans had succeeded in 'taming' our lesser cousins on occasion. It seems that was true.' Zakon's breath caught in his throught as something else occurred to him: 'What if it senses my true nature?'

Abel got some breakfast and rapped his arm back up in a cloth and placed it in his sling.
"Will we have time to practice on the way?And whats in Laus?"he asked after inhaling his food.
I hope no one knows I have armor, I'm kind of embarrassed that I need it. Abel waited to see who would ride with who.I'd like to ride with Garnet, but I'll ride with whoever.

OoC: Fargo, we can have our Chars chat it up in the supports if you still want to. For now, it's time to go somewhere.
And please, forget the turn order and just pick who your riding with...then post. If we don't get up and get going we'll never get anywhere.
BiC:
Garnet stood up and went out to his horse, Fable. The Grey was frisking a little bit, eager to get off.
"Abel, you wanna ride?" Garnet said after mounting up. Garnet turned, and tied his pack to one of the rings scattered across the saddle. "And I'd be happy to train with you, when we get the chance."
Garnet was listening to see if Sir Rayl would answer why he was going to Laus this time. Garnet had asked before, and Rayl had given a brusque answer. The Merc now understood that although Rayl took his duties as a Knight seriously, he was still a fairly private person.
"Heh, personal matters he said. And I had to go and ask the very moment we met..." Garnet's thoughts trailed off of that subject.

OOC: There ain't no real posting order, I just prefer to post once everyone else has. but for the sake of moving us on and so Eragon will have change to believe in ( I love using that joke.) let us carry on.
IC: "Well everyone, let's move out! If we keep at a decent pace, we may be able to arrive into Laus for some possible site seeing..." not there isn't much to see in Laus, save for more soldiers on horses... regardless of these thoughts, he may as well give them some incentive to move out, as he saddled up atop his trusted Elibe, and left the stables at a brisk trot, looking out and down the trail in which they would be taking.
"I'm sorry to say that there will not be much time for practicing along the way. The roads tend to get more bandit attacks during the dusk hours, but I am sure they will permit us to spare at Laus' Coliseum, though you wouldn't be catching me in a place like that..." gambling, especially on a sport where two people fight to the death was not something you should do when following the knight's code...

OoC: Wait for meee!!!
Oh, and Garnet, I'll get the convo thread set up right after this post. But you'll already know that...
BiC: The archer simple followed Rayl out of the room. He watched as the cavalier mounted the horse, with ease. This time, Fargo decided to try what he did. The young archer put his foot closely to where Rayl's foot was, and attempted to bring his opposite leg above the horse's behind. Fargo was just about to use the momentum of his leg to go up a bit, when he realized he couldn't move his foot.
Suddenly, the horse started to move. Fargo grabbed at the other end of the saddle in a panic, and held on with all the strength he had. With every light bump of the horse, the archer could feel his fingers slipping. Fargo thought to himself, not at all wanting to disturb Rayl, Please let me live, please let me live, PLEASE LET ME LIVE!
It seemed that as sudden as the horse started to move, it stopped. Fargo let out a sigh of relief as he adjusted his grasp on the saddle, and was able to hoist himself all the way up. He was a bit shaken, but the archer would live. Fargo listened to the rest of what Rayl had to say, and quietly said to himself, "Yeah, cool, Laus..."
