Night allowed himself to be pried off, and beamed happily at the men Rayl introduced him too. Despite his sudden and completely random display of brute force, the mans facial expression was that of a kid racked up on sugar. "I'm Night!" he announced. "I'm a bad*ss, and I'm the one that throws people out the windows!" He stated cheerfully. "Also," he added, pointing to Alcibie, "She's head over heels for me."

While they were all getting acquainted, Rayl slipped out of the bar unseen, a maneuver that would have been much easier if he had not been wearing his armor. thus entering the stables, he stopped before the stall of his good friend, and patted Elibe on the side," We're one giant leap forward, my friend..." speaking softly to his trusted steed, he brought out again the list from before, crossing off the first two points upon it, before stuffing it away with the rest of his things.
"...If we rode off now, I'm sure we could finish what we needed to do in Laus within at most three days, then make for our final trip to Ilia..."

"Glad to meet you both." The Merc said, amused by Night's introduction. That explains the scuffed up window... "I've been traveling with Sir Rayl since the caravan I was with was attacked by bandits. We've traveled together from Pherae." Garnet said, bringing some news from the other parts of the country.
He examined the pair, and looked over Night. He was quite muscled, but not in the way that an axe fighter would be. Garnet was pretty sure that this man had trained with a straight sword, like his own. "Night, did you happen to get mixed up in any of this prophet junk that's going on?"

Zakon had been listening at the door for what seemed like an hour, observing the humans inside - which happened to include some of his travelling companions. 'Quite an ... energetic meeting. Now, I wonder what my next move should be. Rayl seems knowledgable about battle, I wonder if that knowledge extends to other things. And would I be able to ask without giving him suspicions...' Rayl chose this moment to leave the tavern. ' Is he leaving? I might need to ask now - he suddenly caught a piece of conversation from inside about a "prophet". 'Perhaps I should get more information about this 'prophet' as well. But first...
He walked over to the stables, and stepped behind the cavalier. He seemed to be speaking to his mount. "Rayl."

Night gave Garnet a blank look. "....Uhh....Who now?" He asked, as if he didn't know about anything that existed outside his bar. "...Ooooh, that guy! Nope! Never even seen him!" Night proclaimed, his picture-perfect grin re-appearing. "What makes you ask?"

Looking up, Rayl's attention was drawn to Zakon, his mysterious companion. However, if someone wished to keep to themselves, it was understandable: not everyone likes to speak of themselves," Ah, Zakon my friend, you surprised me!" he begun with proper formalities," For awhile I thought that you had left our group. We will be staying this night with my friends who own this tavern. Is there anything you need?"
Despite his respectfulness off his enigma of a companion, there was still something about Zakon that irritated him somehow, as if he was being struck with a staff upon an old wound...
OOC: I suddenly recall Rayl getting hit upside the head for 'no damage' by Alcibie and her staff...
IC: he was not sure what, but at this meeting, perhaps he could learn something that could explain this...

"For a moment, I was thinking you might be leaving early yourself." Zakon responded, "Physically, no, there's nothing that I need. But I have some questions I thought you may be able to answer."
This was it. The result of Zakon's quest could be decided within the next few minutes, and whether he'd be able to continue travelling with the others certainly would. But Rayl was the only one he'd met who could possibly have the answer. "What do you know about the great war nearly a millenia ago?"

Fargo half-heartedly listened to the two men’s conversation, and was slowly backing away. He had noticed Rayl simply leaving, and almost envied him for his grand escape. The archer had no idea who the dark haired man was, but there was diffident evidence that Rayl knew him. The only issue was that the cavalier left him with the stranger, whose name happened to be Night. The man seemed like a real brawler, who was basically out of control. Fargo concluded this after the first time he spoke.
The young archer had taken a few slow steps away from the three, seeing how Night and Garnet spoke, while the other lady stayed quiet. Fargo wasn't sure if it was she who had made him the mixture that he almost covered the wall with, or if it was Night. He assumed that it was her, being that the dark haired man probably would have just hit him.
Almost there, just a few more steps. Gosh, I hope the guy doesn't notice me; he'd probably, like, eat me or something painful...

Night at first seemed to not know who Garnet was talking about. At least the prophet's teachings didn't seem to have threatened Lycia yet. Not everyone even recognized his name that quick, or maybe Night was just unconcerned about him.
"I asked because I'm looking for information about him." Garnet said to the burly bouncer. "I figured you might have some, being owners of a bar. Eh, regardless, I think I'm gonna be staying here for a few days, looking for work"

Alcibie sighed and scratched the back of her head. Of course, Night would not know what was going on, he could not care one way or the other about things happening outside of here. Her concerns were different. She has ties to Etruria, she had lived there for years studying to be a great healer. Now though she could hardly contact anyone she knew.
“Oi, yo~r talkin’ to ‘e ‘rong one matey.” Some drunken patron drawled out. The cleric turned and rolled her eyes. The man promptly fell out of his seat and on to the bar floor. The bar erupted in laughter.
“Can you throw him outside Night?” The cleric asked pulling a chair up and sitting at Garnet’s table. She could ignore many things like Rayl being Rayl and her husband scaring small archers, but news from Etruria was something she hardly ignored.
“I cannot say anything I know is fact, but I can tell you some of my normal merchants refuse to travel there anymore. Too afraid they are going to be killed for being non-believers.” Alcibie sighed and stared over at the wall. What she should tell this mercenary? There was almost too much to tell.
“Etruria has become a dangerous place ever since Hargus was slain. Their prophet was their when Saint Elimine was slain again, and now he hears her voice and is doing her bidding.” The last part was spoken sarcastically. Alcibie did not believe for one second that man and Saint Elimine were related in anyway, not the real saint anyway. “Do not think your safe here either, the prophet is so paranoid about his growing army that he has spies and agents in every major town outside of Etruria’s borders.”
“That the most frightening bit, there are rumors of a Holy War flowing out of Etruria. I know their army is full of fanatics, you have to be a believer just to join up. They also give out some book to all the recruits, the words of Saint Elimine herself.” Alcibie scoffed how Father Reeves must be suffering. There was always the chance he was already dead. Alcibie did not wish her mentor dead, but she could not bear to envision him living in the world Etruria had become.

OOC: I bet Garnet has no clue what Alcibie is talking about. Lolz: Who is this Hargus dude? (not that I don't know myself since I got the finishing blow on him).
IC: "The Scouring...a time when man turned on dragonkind and fought them in war. If it had not been for the eight heroes and our expertise in the crafting of weapons, we would not be around to speak of it...many people now say that this battle was false, the heroes non-existent, as were the dragons they slayed..." a pause here, before he patted Elibe on the side, the horse who knew the truth like it's rider,
"...No my friend...they were real...oh yes they were real. I have seen dragons myself, three or four I no longer recall, all the time they were always on the other side of the battlefield, spewing flames all about, killing many. The heroes too were real, as are their weapons, but I'd rather avoid much detail about that." Rayl wasn't going to talk about how Some man named Hargus had uncovered a way to raise the heroes from their graves to fight on the side of evil, how the group he had been with fought and brought peace to the re-animated legends, of Athos' longevity, of The Prophet of Etruria having listened to the corrupted words of an undead St. Elimine...the past affected the future, after all.
OOC: I'm assuming that Matis and Co had filled Rayl in everything that had happened prior to his joining the group. Of course he met Athos, briefly when he was teleported to the final battle, so that part obviously.
IC: " Trust me Zakon, dragons are a bitter race in hiding...if they could, I am sure most dragons would seek vengeance against our kind. If one were to appear and harm a fellow human being, I would raise my lance against them, despite their great might compared to my own...they are monsters...turned so by our actions." Rayl's hatred of dragons was quite obvious since the 'Bern Incident', and you could tell Elibe felt the same way, as it snorted and gave a kick or two at the door to it's stall with it's front hooves...then a thought came to, one which the knight (in reference to his profession not class) had only just come up with, "Why would you ask, my friend?"

"Well, you've filled in a hole in my knowledge. It would only be polite to return the favor," Zakon replied, "The tale of the 'Scouring' I heard may have been slightly different from the version you would have heard, the ending goes such: During one of the last great clashes between the dragons and the eight human generals, the world itself turned against the dragons. Finally, the dragons realized they had no chance of victory, and so they left this world... or at least most of them did." 'So, Rayl has had bad experiences with the dragons of this world. But even if he realizes my identity, would he force a battle in the middle of town? ' "I had wondered whether any dragons still survived in Elibe, and took it upon myself to seek them out. But restarting the war could not be farther from my intentions." Zakon stated. "Rayl, I am not your enemy."

Rayl began to ponder the words that his mysterious companion that had said, however Elibe had come to the conclusion much quicker, and began to snort and make a general ruckus while the knight turned around and began to attempt to calm the steed. Once that situation was done, Rayl had realized what Zakon was saying, and it all made sense: the mysteriousness...the gut feeling of suspicion and anger...
His left hand wrapped around the shaft of his lance and lifted the weapon, before sitting down and examining the weapon: it was in poor condition from around six years of use, he'd never gotten around to getting it fixed...maybe he would while he was in town, where he'd obtained it in the first place," You are not at fault for the past, I have nothing against you yourself, only one member of your race." This was referring to the dragon Aeros, who's name he knew at some point but had lost: Monsters need not a name.
"How about you go inside and get something to eat, I am sure you are hungry. make sure to say hello to the owners: they are good people."

(OOC: Psh Alcibie said I could and I did read all the other pages.)
Cefia strolled through the streets of Laus, ignoring the questionable glances from the residents. This was the same wherever she went, many people didn't believe she was a pirate. It had been years since she adapted to that life, her body was accustomed to working heavy equipment and being on a ship. Her skills had improved a certain amount, meaning her axe no longer slipped out of place, while the same can not be said for her monocle. Her old habits die hard, as her hands, with a mind of their own, opened another book. Her eyes scanned the pages quickly, but soon a man stood in her path.
"Hello pretty woman, what are you doing here?" the man spoke, his breath smelling like rotten fish. With the left hand that held the book, it moved in a quick deliberate manner, shutting the crude pages away from the day. She stared straight into the man's eyes and just knew that it was going to be troublesome just to talk it over with him. So she did the best logical thing for a pirate to do, she slammed her free hand straight into the man's face. It wasn't a knockout punch, but gave her enough time to rush past the guy and into a nearby inn. Walking up to the front counter, she leaned against the wall and waited. When exactly did she become so violent?

Abel had gone strait to the bathroom and had just come out. He saw Garnet talking to a dark haired man and went over to them. >< >< >< A large figure walked past the stable door and headed inside the bar.It didn't take Marco long to see his green haired son next to his darker haired counterparts. He didn't want to bother him with his news just yet, so he walked up to the counter and asked the nice lady for some water. Marco then turned his six foot, muscular body around to study Abel while he waited for his water. He then noticed that Abel had one of his arms in a sling, and that he wasn't wearing his armor. OoC: Marco is Abel's (and Kasey's) dad,and has a large sword and shield strapped to his back. He also has an ax strapped to his waist. He is a six foot muscular hero. He has Green hair like Abel.
