There was little time for the knight-in-training to act. He heard Aaron shout something from where he had gone after Wein and then there was an intense shaking and rumbling of the ground. A large fissure opened up in the ground. Selk caught a glimpse of the hole swallowing Aaron and Wein and then he noticed the ground slowly rising beside him. The fissure had extended farther and taken Selk down as well. And just like that, Selk disappeared into the darkness below just like Aaron and Wein had mere seconds ago.
