Theian nods. "It's a start. 5 coins a week starting today. What's our current situation?"

"We're marching to the Ostian Pass," said Richter, pointing to the mountains ahead. "We're going to use it join up with the rest of the Etrurian Inquisitional Army." Richter turned back to Theian. "As for what we do when we get there, well, I have a plan, but things always change so if you want to stay in the loop, stay near me and play it by ear."
Richter looked back behind him. Valorian and Jya were conversing about something and Morgoth was following behind him, as sullen as usual. It looked like all the soldiers were marching so everyone was present and accounted for.

Theian listens quietly. Wonder what his plan is... Well, if he wants me to stay close, I guess I'll have to.
"Alright then. I'll hang out over... eh..." He points over to a spot near Morgoth, "there, if you don't mind at all." He walks over to Morgoth.Wow, bit creepy... "Hi! You're in the army, too?"

Valorian nodded to Jya, she looked nervous...and he couldn't blame her. He'd admitted to her a plan of assassination, this wasn't something most people would take easily.
Truth be told, it didn't sit well with him either...but did he have any other choice? If these armies met up, Ostia would be demolished...Erturia would gain a Lycian foothold, and then stopping them from spreading across the globe would be much more difficult, if not impossible.
He looked up to the sky and sighed, even if it was his fate to be tied to death...perhaps if he could save others from the same fate.
"Yes I think you should...a little scouting would probably be wise. Stay safe."

Jya nodded nervously, but still with enough confidence to show she understood what was told.
"You better stay safe as well, and don't do anything rash," she said, before rushing through the crowd of soldiers, careful to avoid those in the way. Before long, she found herself pretty much lost again, only to meet up with two weird guys.
"Hey, whats up with the commotion?" she asked TGM (of course not knowing his name).

Theian looks over to Jya. How'd she... "Hello, I just got a deal into this army! It's great, man. Name's Theian, write that down. What's your name? And what were you talking about with that monk over there? You looked a bit... grim."

"Names Jya, as for the monk, he was asking if I was alright. I do have some sort of disease, that I just can't seem to find the cure for," she replied, lying smoothly, just as thief should. Theian seemed very, upbeat compared to her.
"I'm just working as a bodyguard for the 'monk', so I can't say I'm really part of the army."

Richter looked at Jya. "I just hired Thein. He'll be traveling with us until he or I break the contract," he said informatively. Richter glanced back at Valorian, then looked at Jya. "How's our tiny friend doing?" he asked. "You two looked awfully grim earlier. Is everything alright? He's not quite the soldier type, so I wouldn't want him to overexert himself."

Theian eyed the theif. A bodyguard? "What's important about the monk? Did he just hire you, or did someone else tell you to?" He keeps walking, wondering about this girl. Quite odd, I'll keep an eye on her and see what comes up.
"Bah, that's not important. What's up with this disease? Why are you a bodyguard if you're ill with a disease?"

"This disease doesn't hinder my abilities to kill, if I don't have an attack that is, plus I really needed the pay," Jya responded, scratching her ruffled and dirty hair. She hadn't been able to sleep peacefully for awhile now.
"Valorian seems to be in better shape than me," she joked a bit, but held her tongue near the end.
"The problem is, whats going on?"

Richter just shrugged. "Two of the soldiers got into a fight, and then it turned into a brawl. You can't really march when all of the men at the front are slugging each other in the face," said Richter, shrugging. "It's really unprofessional, but it happens. Mercenaries are the worst. They get into fights all the time."

Theian turns to find Richter there. When did he... bah, none of his buisness. Man, I never notice stuff like that... "Unprofessional, I wonder what happened..." He turns around, and looks for Kynlis(Who he doesn't even know the name of). After all, I didn't even get to have a decent conversation with her...

Clair had been watching the proceedings since Theian had exclaimed about the "pink hair". She had been startled when he yelled out about it, and was mildly amused by it. Pink hair was rather uncommon she supposed, but her amusement only showed itself in an unnoticeably small smile.
the negotiations necessary to bring Theian started and were finished quite quickly. Just like that he was brought into the army. Her own recruitment could scarcely have gone quicker.
At Richter's comment on mercenaries, she rolled her eyes. She had seen many brawls over break out in the streets of Arphen while she trained. She mumbled something under her breath as they continued their path. "There'll be plenty of chances for them to slug things soon enough- If they don't damage themselves first."

Kynlis had followed Clair and Theain back to the main body of the army. Once they had arrived, she quickly went off to get someone to replace her on the flank. When asked why she was switching, she merely implied that it was the commander's orders, and they didn't want to question the commader, did they?
After that, she was going to head to the commander, seeing as how that would be where Clair was, but got sidetracked when she realized she was hungry. So off she went to the cooks, who weren't bothered by her request for something to snack on, and handed her about a dozen strips of jerky in a bag.
Munching away, she walked toward the commander. Appearing from the press of bodies, she said, "That's why we stopped? Man, and I missed out on the betting." She pouted slightly, before offering, "Jerky anybody?" and held up the bag of jerky she had been given.

Theian walks by, taking a strip from the bag. "Thanks.... er... what's your name?" He takes a bite and chews. Sigh... more jerky... Well, at least I'm getting some food. "Remember my name?"
He walks casually, taking another bite of jerky.
