"Gabriel? He is training under my second-in-command. He is now a member of my troops." he smirked before mounting back up onto Elibe," If you would like, I could show you around the castle, even have you meet the marquess. Perhaps in time you may not have to conceal who you are after talking to him." he wasn't saying right up front she should reveal herself before the marquess in fear that he may order harm upon her...and he could not disobey his lord if he had to attack...but at least it would be fair for her to meet the man," However, it is up to you Lady Saffra...would you prefer to walk, or would you like trying to ride again?" with this he extended a hand for her.

Saffra thought on this about meeting the marquess, but really, what would she have to say to a man of such power...it wouldn't make sense really...it's not like she was going to enlist in the army. Looking to Rayl, she shook her head a bit and smirked a little as he mounted Elibe, but she proceeded to walk a little ahead of the horse and it's rider.
"Meet the Marquess? I'd be bothering him, wouldn't I? I mean, I can't say I wouldn't want to meet the man...but I have nothing to offer him. The only thing of interest of me is that I am a dragon, and if he learnt that, he'd probably have me seized and killed.."
Sighing, she rubbed her shoulder where Rayl had put his hand upon. Harrumphing softly, she looked skywards, trying to make up her mind, before looking back at Rayl.
"What do you think?"

"Saffra...I personally think you should speak with the man. I have known him for a long time. I have served at his side for five years now, and am one of his most trusted vassals. I am sure he would trust your sincerity with myself at your side. If he were to declare that you were among us to our people, you'd be free to do as you wish in Pherae, you'd be one of us...this may cause some disturbance in the rest of the lycian nations but-"
He then remembered his mission starting tomorrow, before continuing," However I will be setting out early tomorrow morning with my men. We have mission of..." he looked around to make sure others wouldn't hear and be worried," Dire importance...if you were to speak before the Marquess, you would have to soon, lest you try without my being there..." it was obvious that wasn't a good idea, as he looked up at the workers: the three of them (Elibe counts) were getting in the way of their work, and time was money.

Saffra grimaced a little, but she understood what Rayl meant. If he was there, she would be quite comfortable coming out. Nodding, she rose a hand up to him, asking for assistance to get atop Elibe.
"Well, if you say so...should you, or I tell him that I am a dragon? I am not common to the place of royal courts and of the like...I'm not sure what would be expected of me. What I have heard around the city though, is that the man is great, and just."
She didn't really much like concealing herself and what she was. What she was was nothing she should be ashamed of, or have to hide. A lot of humans were just xenophobic, in her mind. She would certainly hope that the Marquess of Pherea would understand.
"...but, if your marquess tells you to strike me down, do not question, and do as you are told Rayl. I may be a woman, but I know how to take care of myself. though I am a pacifist by nature, I can defend myself well...though, against you, my skill may be tested!"
She gave a light chuckle, trying to make a joke out of it of all things. She needed to laugh, needed to forget just what she went through a moment ago.
"Lets go meet this man, my interest has piqued."

Rayl took hold of her hand lightly in his, before helping her up onto Elibe," We will see if my training has paid off then." He joked back, before the trio took off back and out of Sir Jin's estate and to Castle Pherae...
--------------------- MINOR TIMESKIP ---------------------
Once again Rayl found himself before his Marquess, as he dismounted and helped Saffra down," Mi'lord, I have to ask of you a favor: my friend here is of a different group of people..." he paused, trying to find a unique way of telling his lord who Saffra was. Meanwhile, The Marquess sat on his throne with a smile, resting his chin on one of his hand: every time Rayl brought someone or something before them, some small commotion occured.
"Saffra...show him." he put an encouraging hand on her shoulder, before turning to his lord," Promise me, your highness, that you will not send my fellows to harm her due to what is to happen, fear not, for she is a pure and compassionate woman." and this, Marquess, Paladin, and Guards all awaited what Saffra was to do, while Elibe partook in a staring contest with a serving boy...
...the serving boy lost.

Saffra hopped down off of Elibe, and once she met the Marquess, she dropped into a low curtsy. Her eyes stayed on the man as she tried to ponder on how to go about this. Once she straightened up, she closed her eyes at Rayl's notification, and, with a deep breath, she felt her wings burst forth from her back, the large span of them filling the air. The sky blue webbing on light, ever so light purple, almost the colour of white.
Exhaling gently, her eyes opened, hands clutched together infront of her, grabbing at her red clothes, while slightly tilting her head to look at the Marquess, almost as interested in seeing how he reacts, as much as everyone else gathered in the hall. In the back of her mind, she kind of figured this may not end well.

OOC: Ok I had to post before logging. Night!
IC: Almost immediately some people began running, some readied their weapons, those including Rayl's own troops: though Sir Pent passed out as did Sir Prize. Right when one guard was about to fire an arrow, the marquess raised a hand and everyone stopped," So you are of the Dragon Kind, eh? I have only heard of your people from myths and Sir Rayl's eye witness accounts...I never thought you would be so...charming." he smiled before standing up,"Your benefactor has brought many interesting living things in here: first a Sacaen Mustang...then a Wyvern...and even then still an Etrurian Noblemen in exile...but NOW! HA!" it was odd to see him laugh, and the guards began lowering their weapons.
" I would trust Sir Rayl's judgement with my life. As such, I would be honored if you were to be one of my citizens, and better still a member of my forces!" the thought of having a dragon on your side to protect your people was a nice one indeed. He then turned to Rayl,"However she is to be under your protection, and should something happen, you are to be the one at fault. he was more serious now obviously, before waving his hand," I will have proclaimation sent out to the people of your presence, so they should not panic as much should they see you in the skies. Dismissed!"

All of a sudden, a few soldiers came through the hallways screaming. Their words were intelligible, but almost the entire courtyard was now heading towards the throne room. Gabriel, of course, made his way there as well. He was rather short to see what was happening, until he saw a pair of blue, shining wings.
"Saffra?" he muttered. "What is she doing here?" Soon after that, everything came to a stop, a few guards hitting each other due to the sudden halt of everything, and Gabriel being thrown to the ground. "Ugh. Idiots..."
The voice of the Marquess could now be heard above the whispers, and Gabriel understood what was happening. Rayl was there too. Chances are he was trying to convince the Marquess to let Saffra roam the skies of Pherae at will and to avoid her being hurt. "Well, it certainly is good for her"

Saffra breathed a small sigh of relief. When those around her took off, or drew weapons, she held her ground. Really, the sigh of their actions were so commonplace, that she wasn't really startled by it any more. However, she had been clutching at the Dragonstone of hers rather tightly. Her eyes, hard, but turning compassionate once the Marquess calmed his men took interest in her. She gave a small blush at his complement.
"Sir Rayl is a man true to the name of a knight, no, a paladin. You are wise and caring, my lord."
Saffra gave a deep, sweeping bow, her wings fanning out and touching the ground as she did so. Standing back up, she greeted him with a smile, and nodded.
"I'm not sure about joining as part of the army...where I am from...we are taught to not fight unless we must, but I could help be a deterrent...but I might attract more...unsavory dragons to you that way.."
While he said tat he wanted the populace not to be alarmed by her presence, it was going to be next to impossible, people aren't just going to forget what they hate because their leader said so...no...but atleast it gave her an excuse to be a dragon now, and not to worry.

Rayl smiled at the Marquess' decision, before turning to his dragon companion," You needed praise me, Lady Saffra. I would rather see you free from having to conceal yourself. All I do is protect my people from harm..." he turned Elibe around and headed for the doorway. Once outside, his troops had gathered around him, Sir Pass grunting as he dragged the unconscious frames of both Pent and Prize behind him,"Sir, sometimes I have to question your sanity...a dragon? Didn't you want to tear their skulls from their body as mount them on your wall?
"No Sir Pass, that was you who said that. I have come to see that dragons are not all bad...Lady Saffra is a good being. Now go and prepare for tomorrow, now take those two to their barracks...where is Sir Gabriel?"

Saffra frowned at the two passed out and being dragged. She was following close behind Rayl. Her eyes stuck on Sir Pass as she felt a touched scorned by the man, clutching he staff in her hand almost to the point of breaking the once-weapon in half. However, she kept herself calm, and collected, staying silent until she rounded behind Elibe to face the man directly. Even though Rayl seemed to have everything under control.
She stayed silent, she was going to say something to the man, but decided against it. She rubbed one of her wings smoothly between her fingers, and looked up at Rayl for a moment, frowning a bit, wondering why the Marquess would want her to join his force...it was probably because she was a Dragon, and she would be a large deterrent, but...that didn't sit well for her.
"So where do you go now, Sir Rayl? I have a feeling it's someplace I cannot follow, mm?"
Her eyes looked a bit blank. Rubbing her nose, she shuffled in position of where she stood, looking about the outside of the castle, eying the people and the business they were attending to, everyone was in such a bustle of activity.

Karina smiled at Chelsea and said, "Yes, I suppose it is a nice day. Where I am from it's constantly snowing, sometimes even in the summer. This land was truly blessed... You must have seen many farms surrounding villages around , right? Flying over it all, it was beautiful. Whereas flying over Ilia, there's nothing but tundras and ice-encrusted forests...." She rubbed the crossguard of her lance with her sleeve. She always made sure it was shiny and presentable.
What did you need to get in town, anyway?" she asked.

Sending Sir Pass off, he let out a sigh and shook his head, before facing his dragon companion"
"Once again I have another mission from my marquess. Myself and my men are to set out throughout Lycia, speaking to the marquess' of the other regions, to propose an allied front should The Prophet continue his actions into Laus...I am sure you've heard of him well enough..." the way Rayl spoke of Kraft...despite his calm face you could tell there was hatred in his tone," Lady Saffra, I didn't want to say anything back there, but...I think you should join the military, and not just because it's also my job to recruit people in." a joking smirk here," Marquess Pherae has offered the whole of our region to be your home...I was a simple rancher six years back, then when I trained to be a knight in Laus, I was nothing but an arrogant drunken fool...but after the whole Hargus incident when I came back home, Marquess Pherae pardoned me...he willingly gave me a second chance in life..."
He paused for a moment here," I don't enjoy fighting anymore, much like yourself, but I must in order to defend my home. When I'm out on patrol, and when I am forced to engage in combat with bandits...when the battle is done, I say a prayer for their souls. They reached such a point of desolation that they had to steal from others...but The Prophet is different. He kills people without reason, weither they are his people or not...you heard what they did to Ostia. All it is now is a flaming wreck...and I heard rumors of the dead rising from where they laid..."
He shook his head as he realized he was beginning to drone on and on," Sorry Saffra, but it is hardly my place to sway your decisions, of course...Would you like to get something to eat?" a subject change was always great in a situation like this...that and he knew of a nice little restaurant just outside of the castle walls...

"A mission for the Marquess.."
She spoke softly. Humans were quite dutiful, as it would seem, not that her people were any different, from what she knew. A lot of beings worked under a form of Hierarchy. She stood still, but kept herself well composed while looking up at Rayl from her meager height. She felt...weird...about being in an army. he was in a way, helping her decide, almost swaying her wishes, but it wasn't without merit, she did want to help..
And the talk about living dead? That was just preposterous, the dead can't come back to life...not that she thought, anyways. Sighing, she gave a small shrug of her shoulders, and leaned on the staff, before flashing a piercing gaze with her golden eyes.
"Alright, Sir Rayl, I'll follow you, and your Marquess as part of the army..it feels somewhat wrong, but I'm making a choice...I will not back down if we must fight...just...don't try to use me as a horse, That'd be a little embarrassing, not to mention, Elibe would probably get mad."
She smiled at the horse and touched it's cheek, offering it a small rub. At the mention of food, she felt her stomach growl, and in a mild grunt, she nodded, placing a hand against her stomach. "Food...would be a lovely idea.."

Rayl laughed at the thought of riding Saffra into battle, before they made their way out of the castle gates, people staring in shock at the two, rubbing their eyes to make sure they weren't seeing things. Meanwhile a drunkard looked from his bottle to Saffra then back to his bottle, before he tossed it aside, shouting that he quit. Meanwhile Soldiers were running about nailing royal decrees on walls, posts, and other such things, people crowding around to read it as the guards continued their nervous business of passing out pamphlets and sending riders to other towns:
Here Ye! Here Ye!
From this day forth, there is to be a real dragon living amongst us! Please my citizens try not to be alarmed, for she is one of us a good being, and I am sure she will do her part in the community as well,
Marquess Roland
People looked up from the letter, then turned back to see Sir Rayl and then Saffra, then to Saffra's wings. Some people panicked, some people tried to conceal their worry, and some just smiled. Those who smiled were obvious familiar with Rayl's stories and book. Dismounting from Elibe, not bothering to tie him to the hitching post like most other horses (No one in this world would be dumb enough to try and steal the giant mount), and held out a hand to help his friend down.
