After the brief meal, Kishou walked back to the river bank to wash himself and refill his water. It was quite lucky for him to happen across Wein and his group of fighters. They all had their share of battles, more so than what the monk had experienced, so traveling with them made him feel more secure.
Of course, he wasn't sure if how long he should stay with them. He originally left Etruria on a pilgrimage to rid the world of any evil bandits and save lives. A rather silly and childish goal, Doug had once said, but it was one Kishou believed in. Etruria had enough members of the church to help the people within the country. Elsewhere in the other countries, he felt needed guidance at least.
The monk cupped his hands and drank the river water, savoring the taste. It was nice and refreshing, despite being so clsoe to a burning forest that had finally quieted down. He hoped the remaining men of the group made it out safely, and that monster of a wolf was purged...
His lingering thoughts were quickly dashed as he caught a glimpse of Bridget walking over. Possibly to use the river to drink as well. Her beauty, even if in the guise of a thief, was appealing, even to the middle aged monk. Of course, her attraction wasn't just limited to her face, but her... ahem, large assets.
Kishou blushed and quickly looked away. He shouldn't be feeling such desires as this, but he couldn't help but find her chest... impressive, compared to most. He knew little to nothing of the woman, so he didn't talk much to her, for the fear he might show her he was more interested in her rack than herself. Doug had once told him women hated it when men were distracted, be it another woman or just the woman's features.
He had a feeling Bridget may be one of those woman.

Taking a break from the rather entertaining if trying group of men(and one girl) that she had met, Bridget strolled over to the river for a bit of relaxation. She wanted to clean the smoke from her eyes and the black spots from her body, as well as have a bit of a drink.
As she approached the water, Bridget noticed a figure. It was that monk, the one whose light had guided her away from the burning forest. Bridget was about to give a hearty hello, but she noticed the monk's eyes travel somewhere for a split second before moving away. Quickly. Bridget stopped walking and smirked. So this is gonna be one of THOSE moments, she thought. Very well. She'd give him something to be embarrassed about!
Bridget knelt by the water and cupped some in her hands. She slowly sipped it, closing her eyes as she did so. Pout the lips, she reminded herself. That always drives them crazy. When she was done with her drink, Bridget took a piece of red cloth from her belt and dipped it into the water. She soaked it up and ran it over her arms and legs, cleaning her flesh of dirt and soot. She looked over at the monk Kishou and gave him her most innocent smile.
"Fancy meeting you here, holy father." she said. Bridget continued to clean herself as she spoke. "What is a pious man doing in a forest of monsters? Hah, look at me, asking such a question. What was I doing out there? Nevermind me, I ask such silly things sometimes..." Bridget flipped her long hair and laughed. "Such a pleasant group we've got now. Of course, a lady would be worried, surrounded by unfamiliar men, but you all seem good-hearted." Bridget shook her head, as if dismissing any ill thoughts. "And handsome, too! That don't make men like that Aaron fellow where I'm from. He must be Etrurian- or Bernese. But those kind don't give a girl like me a passing word, so it doesn't matter." she said, flippant as always. Bridget let out a dramatic sigh. "But enough of my chatter. How are you?" she asked.

She seems nice enough, the monk thought. She seemed comfortable being around Aaron's group as well, but was a tad annoyed how everyone ignored her. Must be the spur of the moment; they were all trying to escape a burning forest and the arrival of a traveling woman wasn't helping. He had to supress a grin when she called him 'holy father'. He was nowhere close.
"I don't know about being a 'holy father'," he correted her, keeping his eyes focused on the river. "I'm just a traveling monk who left Etruria in a silly pursuit to purge bandits and help the less fortunate. I'm nowhere near being a holy father, unlike Master Doug, a full-fledged bishop. He was devouted to helping others, healing the sick, spreading teachings to those with little faith... I strive to become someone like him, but felt I couldn't do it in a place already as close to the Holy Church. So, I left to help the lesser villages, mostly from bandit raids. All I can do is chant light spells."
He turned his gaze to her, getting a better look at her close by, at least a couple feet away. He could tell she was young, about five to six years her junior. If it was by face alone, her long head and charming smile would be enough to make heads turn. But coupled with... an abnormal sized chest, she coud have any man she wanted.
However, Kishou wasn't staring because he was attracted; he was just baffled. He couldn't quite get around to seeing such a large chest, especially from someone at a young age, so his expression was more of shocked curiousity than of lust.
Then he remembered himself and stared back up to her face with a deadpan expression, which looked silly with his blush of embarrassment and shame. "I assume you have reason for transversing into danger as well?"

"Useful light spells." Bridget said, looking up at Kishou. "You saved a lot of lives back in the forest with those chants. So as long as you keep that up, you'll be a 'holy father' in no time." Bridget stretched her legs and yawned. This Kishou fellow was easy to talk to. In fact, she didn't even mind that he'd asked her what her business was. It wouldn't hurt to tell. "I'm looking for my father. He's a nobleman, but my mother never told me where he's from. So, I just decided to look everywhere." she explained. Bridget paused for a moment to unhook the necklace around her neck and handed it to Kishou. "That was his. My mother gave it to the man who raised me after I was born."
Bridget felt more comfortable now, so she slid off her tattered shoes and slipped them into the water, instantly feeling the calm that it brought. "You seem like a good person, Kishou." she said suddenly. Bridget turned and smiled at the monk. "I've heard that monks are supposed to be kind and understanding. You fit the bill well. I think your Master Doug would be very proud of you, wandering alone to help others. It's so dangerous." Bridget giggled slightly at her hypocrisy. "But now we're not alone. So I guess we're safe."

The monk examined the necklace delicately. It was well crafted and looked valuable. No doubt a nobleman would have this, though he wasn't sure if anyone would recognize it as of importance or cheap jewerly (by noble standards).
The poor girl... she had lost her mother and was trying to find her father who she knew nothing about. Yet she was willing to go as far as look for him wherever he was. A noble goal, it was.
Kind and understanding... Kishou felt his pride swell a bit, knowing he probably did make Master Doug feel proud of him, even if he was against him leaving. He would have to do well in following his word. Not just focusing all his energy in purging bandits, though.
"Perhaps I can help search for your father," he said, though looking away from her. It was rude, but so was staring at her chest. "As you said, it would be dangerous going alone. And... I'm not entirely sure Aaron and the others would approve helping you if they have other matters to attend to."
Considering if they hardly trust you, he added as an after thought.

Bridget immediately let out a childish squeal. "That would be so amazing!" she gasped. Impulsively, Bridget threw her arms around Kishou's neck and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Nobody's ever offered to do something so nice for me..." Bridget composed herself again, but was still smiling. "And about the others...well, if they're mercenaries like my mind is tellin' me, I think I could hook them in. After all, my dad's got money. All I have to do is tell them, and they won't be able to resist. And you can help!" Bridget breathlessly explained.
She stood up, now looking triumphant. "Let's travel with them to Ostia, Kishou. Once we get there, we can ask them to join us. Oh, this is turning out so much better than I'd ever hoped!" Bridget tried to contain her excitement, but it was almost impossible. "And here's something I can give you! If you decide there's some evil that needs to be taken out, I'll help out- even if it's borin'!" she promised.

Kishou blinked once, twice, seeming to take the hug and kiss awkwardly well. The rather cheery behavior caught him by surprise, but he assumed she was just happy to hear his offer.
He smiled back, exchanging glances. "That sounds nice. Saving the innocence of man from these dark times can be tiring work for one man. Alright, Bridget. On the honor of the order of St. Elibine, I will help you find your father."

Bridget smiled and stood up. "I'll hold you to that." she said. She looked around. "Well, let's go rejoin the others, then."
