Syana pushed Saturos's sword off-course, sending him lunging to the mercenary's right side. Not wanting to be left wide open, the myrmidon twisted himself clockwise, bringing his sword over Syana's in an attempt to knock it out of the red-head's hand.

Syana gave a little groan as her sword went flying from her hands. Not missing a beat, however, she threw a punch at his unshielded chest. She knew even if it hit it had little chance of doing anything, but she had to try. If this didn't work, she didn't have many other options, as her sword had been knocked too far away to easily grab.

"Oof!" grunted Saturos as Syana's fist landed squarely in his chest, knocking the air out of his lungs and causing him to stumble back. It didn't matter how hard your pecs and abs were, if you weren't expecting such a blow, you'd get the wind knocked out of you every time. It was a risky maneuver, and the myrmidon had paid for it.
The swordsman recovered his breath and resumed a ready stance. Not wanting to give the red-head enough time to recover her sword, Saturos redoubled on his opponent. He swung his sword, blunt side first, at Syana's neck.

Syana gave a little smirk as her fist connected. She hadn't gotten a good punch off in a while and it felt great. However, she got so caught up in that she didn't realize Saturos getting ready to strike again. By the time she did, his sword was already coming at her. Her eyes widened; she froze. She felt her whole body freeze up and before she could try to do anything about it, she felt the sword make contact with her neck. She felt a small "oh!" escape her lips before the world faded out to black.

Saturos watched the girl crumple to the ground as the sword connected with her neck, and winced. He hadn't meant to hit her that hard. Dropping his blade, the myrmidon dashed over to the red head, picking her up off the ground. "Hey, you alright?" he asked, shaking Syana slightly. No answer. Guess that was the end of that. Sighing, he brought the girl back over to the stream, laying her down by a rock, then took out a leather water skin and began to fill it. Looks like he'd just have to wait until she came to.

After a few minutes, Syana start to move a little. Slowly, her eyes opened as she looked around, trying to get her bearings. That's when she felt the throbbing pain in her neck and it all came back to her. She groaned softly as she sat up, her hand on her neck. She weakly looked around for Saturos, spotting him nearby. "How long was I out for...?"

Saturos raised an eyebrow, looking over to the now awakened Syana, then turned his attention back to the stream. The trickling water babbled with delight. "Not too long," said the myrmidon. "Just a few minutes. You feeling alright?"

Syana weakly got to her feet and made her way over to Saturos. After slowly making her way back to the ground next to him, she slipped her feet into the water. "Yeah, I'm fine..." She rubbed her neck again. "Next time just don't hit me so hard, ok?" She said with a little smirk on her face.

Saturos grinned slightly. He hadn't hit the girl full force, but it was still quite the blow. The myrmidon was surprised Syana was up and in such good condition in such a short while. Quite the durable fighter, he must say.
"I'm sorry, I got ahead of myself. I'll admit, the full swing was a bit unnecessary," said Saturos, with a slight bow of his head. "Good to see you're still among the living, though. I don't know what I'd do if I had to carry a dead body all the way to Bern." The swordsman looked down at his reflection in the stream. The battle with the wyvern had left a scar on his face. It made him look kind of rugged. "Then again, I could have just dumped you in the water and no one would have known what happened." With a grin, Saturos reached down, putting his hand into the water, and splashed Syana as he said this.

"Hey!" Syana yelled as she flinched, moving her hands up to shield her face as she got splashed. "No fair, I wasn't ready!" She fake pouted for all of two seconds before giving Saturos a shove towards the water with a giggle. If she had caught him off guard, then he would be taking a dip sooner than he may have planned. "Two can play this game!"

Saturos had been chuckling while Syana "pouted". He hadn't been expecting the push. "Whoa!" he yelled as he flailed his arms in an attempt to stay on the bank. Unfortunately for him, though, Syana got the best of him and the myrmidon went tumbling into the water. The cool water was refreshing on Saturos's sun-warmed skin, and he took a few seconds to enjoy the sensation before bursting above the surface, spitting water at the red-headed mercenary.
"The water is quite refreshing, I must say. How about you join me for a dip?"

Syana laughed happily as Sarutos fell into the water. She flinched again when he popped up and squirted water at her again. "Might as well at this point!" With that, she jumped up and into the water, giving Saturos a nice big splash as she did. When she popped back up, she giggled and splashed him more. For the first time in a long while, she was having fun.

Saturos held his hands up to defend his face from the splash, despite the fact he was already soaking wet. Chuckling, the myrmidon responded with a few splashes towards Syana. As solitary as the swordsman tended to be out in the wild, it nice having some casual company for once. He was in no hurry to go anywhere, so it was nice to just take some time and screw around. "So," asked Saturos in between splashes, "you said you traveled with your brother. Did you ever go to Bern?"

Syana took time to ring out her hair before answering. "Bern? No, never that far south. We stayed mostly in Ilia. We did a little wandering in Erutria and passed through small part of Sacae but not much else." As she spoke, she slid off her now soaked shirt, rung it out, and tossed it onto the shore. She took a quick few strokes and she had to admit it was much easier swimming with only a bra on top. She slipped under the water for a few seconds before bursting up and aiming a huge splash at Saturos. Giggling happily, she asked "Why do you ask?"

Saturos turned his back to Syana, letting the water splash over his back, as he paddled over to the river bank. Shaking the water out of his hair, he put his elbows on the wet earth and turned to the red-haired mercenary. "No reason in particular, just wanted to know if you'd ever been there, considering that's our next destination." The myrmidon shrugged. "Always good to know the lay of the land, especially in Bern, what with all of its mountains and angry people."
