Syana experimentally touched her foot to the ground. It seemed fine enough so she followed Marle over to the new group. As she walked, she gave various tests to her foot, such as jumping and a quick run. Everything seemed fine, which made her smile slightly. Despite her earlier words, she always slightly worried whenever she got hurt and was happy to see that it wasn't bad.
As they walked over, she looked at the third member of Marle's party. Parry seemed... interesting. Definitely not in a bad way, she had a feeling that he would be easy to get along with. She regretted not being able to really get to meet him, but there was time for that later. For now, she had a job to do.

When they got to the town gates, they were met by the sight of most of the men in the village being seen off by their wives, mothers, grandfathers, and the like. As Parry slipped through the front gate, everyone turned to look at them. "Did you find them?" asked one man. "Can we please get moving?" Parry held out a hand to quiet the man. "Hold your britches," he said reassuringly as Saturos, Marle, and Syana followed behind him. "They're right here." Saturos just waved a hand and smiled as Parry addressed him. Many of the men waved back, recognizing the myrmidon, but the man who had spoken just eyed the two girls.
"Aye, what are they doing here?" he said, pointing his spear to Marle and Syana. "I don't see any other girlies in this group." He spread his arms out and gestured to the rest of the assembled men. A murmur crept through the crowd and Parry stepped up to the man. Saturos just stood back with his arms crossed. "Oye, I'm taking them with me so you don't have to worry your pretty little head about it," he said gruffly. The other man just snorted. "If that's what you want, but they count as part of your group, so you ain't getting any help from us." He looked around at the other men. "None of us want any girlie blood on our hands."

Syana had taken to glaring at the group of men. Arrogant jerks. Who were they to talk down to her like that? She took a step towards the men and aimed her sword at the one who seemed to do all the talking, which was fairly impressive as she held her large sword with only one arm. "I hate people like you. You look down on women just because of our gender, well guess what." Her eyes went narrow, a menacing presence grew from her. "I could kill each and every one of you right here, right now. Then it would be you blood on my hands, wouldn't it? So, how about you shut your little mouth, seeing as you're apparently the only one of your friends who can speak, before this little girl shuts it for you."

Marle stood silently with a frown on her face, eying the men as the idiots they were. She was probably just as strong as them all, aside from Parry, but her armor hid that fact for her. Raising an eyebrow in her silence as Syana lost her top, she gave a light sigh as she flexed her arms over her head, and rested the lance across her shoulders. Marle was a little more respectful, but to say she wasn't scorned by the man's words, would be a lie.
Marle felt wounded that they thought she would be a burden, even possibly die, it was true, anything was possible, but a grin flashed over her lips as she waited for Syana to finish speaking.
"If that's the way you feel about it, so be it, but if you're laying on the ground expecting help, don't expect me to come over and carry you over my shoulder like the babe you are. Have some sense you wool-brained idiot..."
Marle rubbed one of her cheeks, eying them coyly as she flung her lance off her shoulder, and tapped the foot long blade at the end in her gauntleted hand. She was wearing the most armor here, it seems...either a good idea, or a really bad one.

The man looked back at the girls, who were protesting his distasteful comments, and scowled. Somebody wasn't used to having women talk back to him when it came to hunting. It wasn't that the women of the village let the men walk all over them, oh no, quite the contrary. It was just that when it came time to hunt, it was an all-man activity, and some men could get pretty pig-headed about it. "Suit yourself," he said bitterly, jerking his head away from them as he turned away. As much of a chauvinist that he may have been, he wasn't going to get to blows with these girls, especially not in front of everyone.
Parry, satisfied with the outcome, turned back to the girls. "Sorry about that," he apologized, slightly bowing. "Most of the men aren't like that. We just have a few idiots thrown in with everyone else." He said this loud enough so that the other man could hear him, but the hunter just shook his head and looked away. "Thought next time," piped in Saturos, "you might not want to get the whole group against you. If we do get in trouble, it might be nice to have somebody watching our backs."

Syana swept her hair out of her eyes and turned to Saturos. "It wasn't my intention to turn them against us. However, I'm not gonna take that kind of stuff from anyone laying down." She then looked down a little, feeling slightly embarrassed. "Though I do apologize for losing my temper. Next time I'll be more aware of myself. Guess I was still running on adrenaline from the spar. But it's no excuse." She bowed to the group. "I'm sorry if my actions cause you all trouble in the future."

Marle watched Saturos a bit, and gave a shrug of her shoulders, knowing he was right, but she was not sure if they would have had they placidly bowed their heads and took the obnoxious comments that were presented. Marle grew a little bored there, tapping her lance across her shoulders, and then brought it into one hand, and a steady hold upon the base grip.
With green eyes peering, Marle looked at Syana, seeing that look of embarrassment, and while she had her head down, Marle came in close, and poked a finger into her cheek, and grinned, and then sauntered off, she wanted to be on the way, afterall.
"Trouble is a promised future. Not long after having met Saturos, we were attacked, and now, Wyverns, oh goodie."
She sounded rather sarcastic, but she was dazing about, humming softly to herself as she let her hips sway as she walked, singing softly to herself in a melodious tone much like a bard, but the song, was not a happy one, nor did it have words, it was all sound...Marle always did want to become a singer.

"It wasn't my intention for you to roll over and take it. What he said was ridiculous, just that..." Saturos said, glancing over his shoulder, "...boasting about killing everyone, even the people who kept their mouths shut, isn't the best way to be making friends." Saturos shrugged. "Oh well, nothing we can do about it now. Time to just go with the flow..."
As Saturos was talking, Parry had walked up to the front of the group. He divided everyone into groups of four, then made sure everyone knew the objective: the group that came back with the most goats by weight was the winner. The person with the biggest goat, however, would also be touted above the rest. He made sure to clarify: they were not hunting wyverns. Not only was that dangerous, considering many of the wyverns that they'd be picking fights with are pack hunters, but it was wasteful, since wyvern meat was tough and hard to eat. After everyone started heading off towards the foothills, Parry returned to the rest of the group. "Well then," he said with a grin, "what do you say we get this show on the road?"

Syana gave a nod. "Here, here!" She sheathed her sword and started off. She couldn't wait for the hunt to get underway so she could show those guys what she could do. She smirked slightly to herself. She loved making people eat their words. While she did regret how she had said it, her sentiments were still the same.
She looked down to her foot and gave it another few tests to make sure it was fine, which it was. Inside, she breathed a sigh of relief. She was afraid it would a hindrance, but it was looking like it wouldn't be. She looked around at her new group and gave another little smile. They certainly were an interesting bunch, but she liked them.

Marle kept a wary eye on Syana as she followed in behind of the group. She was quiet as far as talking was concerned, now thinking mostly to herself, as she looked at the back of Syana's head, s if staring, trying to figure the young woman out. Marle almost thought she was abused as a child, to become so hostile towards men, but if that were so, she would have right off attacked Saturos if that were the case...
Perhaps she was just moodie...yeah, moodie sounds like a good explanation. Finishing up her small song, she glanced towards Parry and Saturos, wondering where this hunting grounds were...and they were hunting goats? Goats were fine and all, but they would probably need someone with a bow, not a girl with a lance.
Still, this didn't stop her from going, she just kept at her own pace, unable to walk as briskly as the others in her armor, so naturally, she was slower than them all
"Maybe I could get a souvenir while out here...like a wyvern's skull if I'm lucky.."
It was a light mutter as she spoke to herself, trying to sort out priorities.

Parry led the front of the group, with Saturos close behind him. They tried to keep the pace slow in order to accommodate for Syana's ankle and Marle's heavy armor. Both of them would have one hell of a time trekking through the mountains.
As the four neared the foothills, Parry unstrapped his large axe from his back. Seeing this, Saturos drew his sword. Wyvern howls could be heard in the distance. Parry seemed unfazed, but you could see Saturos's worry emblazoned across his visage. His first encounter with wild wyverns wasn't the most pleasant one. "Looks like the other men have gotten the hills riled up for us," said Parry, a smile on his face. Saturos just furrowed his eyebrows. "Let's just hope they're not too excited," replied the myrmidon. He turned his head back to the girls. "You two alright back there?"

The cry of the Wyvern's startled her. She never knew any lived this close to her homeland, even if this wasn't the same country, it was along it's borders. Marle had usually been told they resided more in and around Bern, she was wondering if that information was incorrect.
Frowning up at Saturos, she gave a shake of her head, using the lance as a walking stick. Despite the fact she was slowed down, didn't mean it was from exhaustion, it was just a good way to keep the fatigue back.
"Huh? Oh, fine fine, why? Want me to hurry up?"
She gave a dumb grin and bounced ahead, coming to full stride with Saturos and Parry. The terrain was much like the more mountainous region she was used to around where she lived, with a lack of ice and snow, so really, this kind of travel was easier for her.
"I've been meaning to ask. If we're hunting goats..how are we supposed to bring them back? I'm not actually any good with herding animals.."

Syana merely looked up at the Wyvern roar. She had heard them before, though she'd never actually seen one. If anything, she was a little excited to be able to face on in a fight. It would hopefully be a good challenge, more specifically one she could overcome.
She was shaken out of her thoughts by Saturos' question. As Marle hurried again, she made an attempt to catch up as well. Her foot twanged a few times, but she ignored it. She couldn't let it slow her down, not now. She's worry about it after. When she caught up, she gave them a small smile and waited to her the answer to Marle's question.

Parry laughed at Marle as if her question was absolutley ridiculous. " Not quite. You can't herd a dead animal," he laughed jovially, slapping his backpack. "We hunt them, then we put them in this hide stretcher I've got bundled up here." He pointed a finger back towards the village. "Then we haul the thing back to the village. It's not a race, and the stretcher is really durable, so we don't have to worry about getting too much goat meat."
Saturos chuckled. "Don't get ahead of yourselves, guys. That's assuming we can get that many goats," said the myrmidon. Last time he had been on this hunt, they had only gotten about five goats, though, that had been largely due to Saturos' dangerous encounter with that giant wyvern he'd been talking about earlier. Most of their time that would have been spent hunting was spent running from the wyvern and tending to Saturos' injuries.
The swordsman paused, and held out a hand to stop everyone else. He pointed to a decent sized goat, at least 170 pounds, standing up on a rock above them eating a tiny patch of grass that was sprouting out from in between the boulders. It either hadn't seen them yet, or it didn't care that they were there. Parry looked over his shoulder towards the two girls. "Either of you want to give it a shot?"

Marle felt her cheeks redden with embarrassment, looking down at her blue boots as she moved throughout the rocky region. How was she to know about that? They never had anything like this where she was from... Sighing, she continued to follow closely, looking to the stretcher that Parry was talking about.
She halted abruptly at the sighting of Saturos' motion, and tried to see what was going on. Her hands gripped on her lance tightly, seeing the goat, but she looked to Parry and shook her head a bit.
"Had I a javelin, I would...but I have no hope in sneaking up on something like that, my armor makes too much of a racket.."
With a slight frown, she looked to Syana, wondering now if she would try her luck out perhaps?
