Saffra was well on her way back by the time she had seen Karina in the air. With a bluish wing, she waved at her, and then proceeded to lead the two men in the rain back to Rayl's column of men that were making their way up the road.
[Gonna do a time skip that has this group up and meeting Rayl, this needs to start moving again]
After a good distance traveled back, her eyes spotted the convoy of men and horses together. Saffra's stride got a little...lighter, as she was pleased to see the men of Pherae now in sight. She wasn't exactly pleased with the way she had acted towards the brigands, but it was what it had to be.
Looking over her shoulders, she wrapped her wings about her like a cloak, and motioned to Merio and Kelvin with a finger.
"There is Sir Rayl, as I said."
After a few more minutes of travel, she stopped ahead of the group and gave a light bow to Rayl, she was cold, and didn't much care for the rain that matted her hair to her face...she suddenly wished she owned more clothes.
"Hello again, Sir Rayl, I ran into a few of your men up the road as it would appear. Their names are Merio, and this one Kelvin.."
She motioned behind her to the two cavaliers, and grimaced a bit.
"Also, there's a good place to set up camp a mile or so up the road, spacious wooded area, with soft soil to make easy hitching for the tents."

Merio stayed silent the entire way, perplexed by previous events. We almost lost to a group of bandits... how will we fare with Sir Rayl? Not good, I suppose. And... this manakete... How did Sir Rayl find such an ancient and magnificant person to help him? It's almost impossible.. it is impossible. What is going on?
When they get to Rayl, Merio looks in wonderment. They had said he was a great fighter... but this was beyond his imagination. It looked as if... someone... had blessed him, almost. He listened to what Saffra said, and then saw her motion to them.
Merio walks up to Rayl and bows. "Yes, that is true. We were assigned to your division and had heard you were in Santaruz, and had headed toward there, when the rain hit. Kelvin had found an abandoned home, and we planned to hide out there until the rain stopped... There were around seven, maybe even nine bandits hiding there, as well. My brother got knocked out and I was almost dead when Saffra had come and helped us."

Chelsea watched as Saffra brought the two new cavaliers up to Rayl. She couldn't hear what they were saying, but she watched anyway. It was clear something had happened, but it seemed like it was over now. She turned to the sky again and tried to spot Karina through the rain but couldn't. She was starting to get worried for her friend. The others were back so why wasn't she? As she waited nervously, she moved her attention back to the new knights, Saffra and Rayl and wondered what they were talking about. She sighed to herself and figured she'd find out sooner or later. Until then, she shifted her focus back to the sky.

When Saffra had returned, along with two knights, he couldn't help but smile as he saw the two of them: their faces looked very familiar," Then it is a good thing that Lady Saffra has the eyes and grace of an eagle...Cousin Merio." and with this he laughed," It has been quite some time since we last met...and it seems you are still the same mess your brother always got you into!" as the troop kept going, Rayl began to charter them towards the area which Saffra had scouted out, Merio and Kelvin being merged in with the rest of the riders, he made sure to keep them up front," So you both decided to become Cavaliers as well? How did you come to this conclusion? Do you prefer the sword or lance?"
Rayl kept bombarding his two relatives with questions concerning their career paths, in a mix of enthusiasm and worry: last thing he wanted was to see anyone he knew die on the battlefield, should that moment come...and yet he was looking forward to riding alongside them. Soon they made their way to where Saffra had indicated, and Rayl's men set to work pitching up tents and setting down posts to tie their horses to for the night, but Rayl was still interrogating his cousins, before turning to Chelsea," Lady Chelsea, meet Sir Merio and Sir Kelvin: Knights of Caelin and my relatives."
OOC: Huzzah for planning...now if only we could have a pally triangle attack... :<

Chelsea, having already gotten off of Spirit, gave a small bow to each of them. "It's nice to meet you both. And despite what your cousin calls me, there's no need to call me "Lady." She said, giving Rayl a look and grin. "Chelsea will be just fine." She gave them both a smile. "So you two are brothers, huh? And both fighting together? That must be pretty interesting." Her thoughts immediately went to Nathan and her heart sank. She wished she could be fighting alongside him as well. If only...

OoC: We have the third Cavalier, and that could be the triangle attack. Huzzah for planning, indeed!
Merio was slightly shocked when Rayl greeted him as his cousin. The brothers had decided not to reveal that they were related to Rayl, so they wouldn't have an unfair advantage... Still, Rayl had still remembered them... after all these years... Does he remember the Kelvin's fish? For a short moment, Merio couldn't speak.
"Sir, I... Cousin Rayl, as you know, our parents are good friends with the nearby breeder, and, hearing about your... antics... we wanted to see what would come. Ah... I prefer the sword. It is a more practical weapon than the lance. Kelvin, however, begs to differ."
Rayl continues to ask questions to the two brothers, and both of them reply, with their own answers. Eventually, Rayl greets them to Chelsea. Merio returned the bow. "Alright, Chelsea. Yes, we're brothers, but I am one year older than Kelvin... there have been some... interesting moments with him." Merio sighs, remembering mainly Kelvin's fish. "Chelsea, you seem down, is it my fault?"

OOC: Finally snagged some time to post, so Aevian can jump in here too for the time being.
IC: They'd made good time lately. They weren't quite to Ostia yet, still a few days out, but they were getting close. Wyatt had only looked at the distance they had to travel, not the terrain. He was quickly finding what kind of a difference that made. The travel had been mostly uneventful, and it stayed as such until a deafening roar filled the air.
Of course they'd gone to check it out, and found a destroyed house as the only answer. Indeed this answer only served to promote more questions. They'd agreed to continue down the path and look for any indications of what did this, and had traveled a bit when they saw signs of a caravan of people.
Wyatt squinted his eyes. "I see a group of people...riders I think...They have some kind of a flag, but it's too difficult to make out from here...doesn't look Erturian to me, wrong colors at least." He said to Aevian. "Think we should approach them? I'm not sure if they know what all the comotion was, but it seems odd their placement here..."

Chelsea snapped out of her thought and gave Merio an apologetic smile. "It's not your fault at all, Sir Merio. I just fell into old thoughts of my older brother." She turned away for a moment to pat Spirit, but also to get the tears from her eyes. It seemed as if she couldn't get her mind off her family nowadays. Once they were gone, she turned back to the trio and smiled again. "Don't worry about it.
She swept her eyes over the camp before speaking again. "Are you two alright? I know i heard something of a fight going on earlier and I can only guess you two were involved."

Merio growled and looked at his armor. "Yes, we went to an old house to stay at until the rain faded, but it turned out to be some kind of bandit's headquarters. We fought a large amount of them, but we were losing. Saffra had come and saved us, and led us back here... which reminds me... I must get these wounds tended to properly..."

The archer gave another little bow. "It'll let you two go then. It's was nice to meet you both." she gave them one last smile before turning to Rayl. "Sir Rayl, what you seen Karina at all? I haven't seen her since she took off earlier. I'm starting to get a little bit worried..."

Saffra had ducked herself into a bow and dismissed herself from Rayl and the cavaliers, as well as Chelsea. She was beginning to get a bit of a chill, and went to a tent that had been prepared for her. As she climbed inside, she dismissed her wings, so she could move easily around inside the small enclosure, and proceeded to take out a book from a pouch, the pages slightly damp, and read, until she would be needed later, in all honesty, being in dragon form for such time had made her quite tired.

The weather didn't seem to bother Aevian, other than it was cold. The fact that it was wet did very little to change her attitude. Aevian knew little of Lycia, but for her journey, it was a wonderful time. Though the past few days had been rather dull compared to the first day meeting Wyatt, she couldn't complain too much, though, a longing for a bed was becoming more and more wanted.
That all changed with the roar. it sounded similar to a Wyvern's, but much much louder, and deeper, more powerful, if one could gauge that way. Aevian had grown up around Wyvern Knights and Riders, so that's what she passed it off for, but to have on around here would be...stange. When arriving at the House, the two didn't linger for long, there were signs of fighting, and with a roof missing of all things. The bodies hadn't even begun to be rank, by the time Wyatt and Aevian arrived, so it was a recent activity.
Happening upon the riders, as they were setting up their camp for the evening, Aevian too, squinted and tried to make out the flag, but at this distance, it was useless. Breathing a disgruntled sigh, she eyed Wyatt carefully, regarding his words.
"They're breaking for camp, guess the weather isn't favorable for riding at the time...but as long as they aren't Eturian...it may all be just as well.."
With a strict movement with her hand, she motioned Wyatt to follow as she broke from their cover. out of all the men, she had to regard the one at the head as a senior officer. She rested her arm across the top of the broad axe head at her waist. Aevian's pose was rather relaxed, but wary. If things went south, well, they'd come to that if it happened.
"Hail!" Aevian shouted out to the paladin, and brushed her hair over her ear, and then positioned the hand to block the rain from her eyes. "Greetings, knight, where do you hail from on such a wonderful day?" Her tone sounded a bit sarcastic, but she couldn't help it.

"Ah yes, of course. Allow me to show you to our healer." With this, Rayl began to lead the two cavaliers away, remembering the incident involving 'Kelvin's Fish', along with a variety of other antics the trio had come up through, but stopped abruptly before looking Chelsea in the eye," I am quite sure she is alright La- Chelsea. I once knew a Pegasi Knight like herself...they're very brave and durable, I'm sure she'll return quickly." he gave the archer a pat on the shoulder before continuing onwards through the crowd, eventually leading them to the healer's tent, all the while he had been talking with them of days gone by, and of knightly matters of course," I'd recommend you practice both lance and sword, both of you. While I still favor the lance myself, I still carry this," he indicated his slim sword here," in case I encounter an axeman, best to be prepared, the two of you could be distanced on a battlefield, unable to make strength of each other's weaknesses..." he went on with this mixture of military tactics and family ramblings for some time...
...
...and then a voice rang out: "Hail!" the voice, being unfamiliar, caused some unease amongst the nearby soldiers who eyed the strange woman, not entirely pleased with her tone, "Greetings, knight, where do you hail from on such a wonderful day?". Rayl did not mind the tone, and he merely turned and bowed to the stranger," It is indeed a wonderful, however not so for riding. I am Sir Rayl, knight and Ambassador from Pherae, and this is my division of troops," He gave a wave of his hand to indicate the horse riders," We ride on a mission to unify Lycia's nations, nay, the whole of Elibe, in the event that The Prophet continues his conquest from Ostia to Laus." there was no sense hiding his intentions...besides: how could he hid the fact having a large amount of cavaliers (and others) all setting up camp," And thou art?"

Aevian's stance never changed, looking back towards Wyatt, she grinned a little towards him, and then back to Rayl, not missing a word he spoke, not that she could. His task seemed...honourable, and a wise one, especially fromt he reports she had heard regarding Ostia and Eturia, and the various other threats like the strange monster wolves Wyatt had told her about.
"I see.." she said, and rubbed the back of her neck, feeling the water run down her back. "A noble cause then, Sir Rayl, very noble.." Phereans...here? "I am Aevian von Diera, fourth daughter of the duchy of Diera in Bern."
Aevian gave a small bow, very small, as all she did was just begin to bed, nod her head, and then lift herself back to poised form. Her red eyes seemed interested in this group of people, and then motoned to Wyatt, which, hopefully, had followed in behind her.
"And this is my companion and friend, Wyatt, we were on our way to Ostia to assess the Eturian strength in what remains of Ostia, to which, I would report back to Bern. With Ilia holding the strings..." Aevian gave a shiver, mentioning Ilia's puppeteering of Bern brought her anger "...they make it difficult to let alone breathe."
Aevian found it fair to atleast be as honest with the knight as he was with her, since they were not Eturian, she had a fair understanding that Lycians were a kind folk in nature, hopefully that shared into the army of it as well.

Bern...the name did not bring fond memories...the people were nice enough, but being in a giant flaming city...not so much. She then spoke of Ilia's puppeting Bern, and gave a nod: her opinions were the same as his," I couldn't agree with you more...After my campaign is done here, I plan to travel to Ilia and speak with them of liberating Bern...though I doubt they will listen to a holy kni- err Knight like myself." Nowadays whenever he thought of Ilia it would be not only Persephone: but of his meeting of Barigan.
"Well then lady Aevian, and you too Sir Wyatt: seeing as we are both of a similar cause, you may accompany us if you wish."
