" I see...well then Sir Lowell of Bern, we will be setting out in about an hour or so, so be ready by then. If you need to feel free to get something inside to eat, and per chance introduce yourself to our traveling companions. You'll be able to spot them in an instant. Both are women, one who wields an axe, the other with blond hair, assuming she's up now that is." a slight smirk when he thought about the information he now knew about Evayl, followed by an extreme mental shuddering...
..it wasn't that she was a person or anything. Nay she was a cheerful and beautiful woman, it's just...it was too soon...even if it had been five years past, it wasn't something one could so easily let go...especially if they had just recently heard of it...
He shook his head slightly before getting back to the conversation," Their names, in order I mentioned them, are Lady Aevian, dutchess of Bern, and Evayl, a wandering maiden and songstress."

A duchess from Bern? I... Wasn't expecting that. I doubt I know her though, it was my sister who was the one who did all of the mingling. She's the one who learned politics and played those games... I just learned how to fight. He thought to himself, but eventually nodded. "I will go do that then. Thank you Sir Rayl." He said politely, well as politely as he could. It probably still sounded somewhat like a growl.
He worked his way into the main room of the Inn, we he was also staying at in a stroke of luck. He didn't have much to gather though, already traveling and all that. He was planning on leaving as soon as he got clearance. He knew how to fight and all, but only an idiot would try to take on so many people at once alone just to get out.
The knight scanned the room and quickly picked out who were most likely the people that Rayl was talking about... but they were in the middle of a conversation. It would be rude to just barge in and interrupt... Instead he took to just watching the two... I probably look like a creepy stalker right about now...

Evayl cocked her head slightly upon hearing Aevian's question. How interesting. She looked down at her nails for a moment before regarding the other woman. "That is why I am here, Madame Aevian. To see the man behind the tales. I intend to follow him no matter what my heart says. If not for love then for devotion to Lycia. Even if he turns out to be someone different from the stories I've been told, I still intend to aid him as best I can." she explained. "If he chooses to reject me, then...well, I will be crushed. But life goes on." she said. Evayl let out a sigh. "You probably think I'm a child. And I suppose I am." Evayl's eyes darted for a moment, and she smiled. "I believe we are being watched." she said plainly. "A fellow in heavy armor."

Rayl patted Elibe on the side, before returning back to the inn, coming in just in time to hear:
"If he chooses to reject me, then...well, I'll be crushed."
Rayl didn't hear the rest for at this point he felt a well of guilt filling inside him. Last thing he wanted was to cause her grief the way he felt at the loss of his Persephone, but... seeing as he was unseen he had exited for a moment, taking a brief breather, before re-entering, calm as ever with a smile on his face," My friends, we have a new companion in our midst." with this he indicated Aidan," This is Sir Aidan of the Bernese nobility under the house of Lowell." a fairly lengthy and formal introduction to a man he had met moments before," We were heading the same general way, so I felt it safe enough to join forces for however long we needed to."

Wha- And suddenly Aidan was put on the spot by the man he met no more then minutes ago. He felt the gaze of the women before Rayl introduced him his self in a way that reminded him of a herald, but it was still a bit awkward. He caught his self before he started to stutter though, and regained his usual, almost droll, composure. "Greetings." He said. "I'm afraid that the Lowell house in no more in the current government of Ilia." If one of the two was indeed a duchess, she would likely of heard of his family. An old and well loved military family, responsible for more then a few generals of Bern's past. Still, he didn't recognize either of them. Hopefully he'd recognize their name...
"It's..." He repressed an uh. "Pleasure meet you two." He tried to be polite.

Aevian listened at first a little half-hearted, having come to expect this kind of answer, but her interests came about when she learned that Evayl would not falter from that chosen path, and had to respect that whole heartedly. Aevin gave a small smile to the Troubadour, and bounced the now polished axe in her hands with ease.
"Not at all, you're more grown up than I thought you may."
Flashing a grin, she turned around to see the knight Aidan as well as Rayl, giving them both a curt nod, but she raised an eyebrow to Aidan Lowell, and stood to rise, fixing her cape with a hand as she slid her axe onto her back's harness for it.
"House Lowell, you say...interesting...I am Aevian von Diera, of the the House Diera, pleasure."
Aevian added a small bow of her head to the knight, and a grin as she tapped her thigh, which held a hand axe attacked to it.

"Oh, House Diera." Diera.... I recognize that name. So Aevian is it? Carrying an axe? Something about this is familiar... but I can't quite pin it down. It's on the tip of my tongue, but... dang it. I'll remember later. "It is my pleasure to meet you Lady Aevian." He returned with a bow of his head as well.
He knew how the nobles played... well atleast a little bit. However she didn't quite fit the image of nobles he had in his head. She reminded him less of his sister and more of some of the other soldiers he grew up around. Not that that was a bad thing, in fact he preferred it. The usual "better then you" and "you wish you were this graceful" air most nobles gave made it uncomfortable to be around.

Evayl stood up and patted the hand of the man, Aidan. "I am Evayl Krause. It is a pleasure to meet you." she said. Evayl gave a minor curtsy and then sat back down. She rested her chin on her palm and looked around the room. Not much to see. "So, when we leave, what shall our riding arrangements be? I wonder how we shall move fast with four people and only two horses."

"That is quite simple madame-" He paused here.
Evayl...the book...if you could peer into his mind, this would be what he was processing.
Evangeline + Rayl = Evayl?
He shook his head slightly before continuing,"-Evangeline, Sir Lowell wears heftier armor, but I know for a fact that it will be no Problem for Elibe. and I am sure that your horse can also carry Aevian, yes?" this situation was going to get more awkward, as his thoughts were currently on the blond haired beauty in front of him...what was he supposed to do?
Luckily for him, his face gave away no such panicked expression, one would bot be able to tell his mind was struggling on this concept.

So... I'm going to be riding a horse with Rayl I see... I... I don't know how to ride a horse actually. But... I rode wyverns back when I was a kid, it can't be too different, right? Aidan was... Uneasy. He was hiding it, like he had trained to, but still the feeling was there. He usually hoofed it from place to place, or if he was in a hurry he paid a caravan to ride in their carriage. He never actually rode on the back of a horse...
So, the blond one's name is Evayl? Heh, that sounds just like... Wait did Rayl just call her Evangeline? Ah, I get it, shortened. "Nice to meet you Evayl." He said with a small bow of the head, similar to the one he gave Aevian. Now that the introductions were out of the way things were a little less... awkward. Kinda.

All Aevian could do was simply shrug her shoulders. She didn't mind riding with Evayl, but doubling up on horses always made her a bit uncomfortable. Still, as long as hey got moving, Aevian wouldn't complain too much, despite how saddle-sore she would get.
"Excellent. Are we all prepared to move, then?"
Aevian refrained a little from outright saying that they were ready to be off. This wasn't her expedition afterall, but she was getting impatient, despite not showing it. They had already wasted a whole day being here. Scuffing her boots on the floorboards, she eyed Rayl expectantly with a raised eyebrow.

Evayl nodded to Rayl's question. "Mely can carry an extra person, yes. Lady Aevian's equipment may be a bit more burden than she's used to, but Mely can handle it." she said confidently. Evayl looked at the other three, her eyes no longer carrying any traces of sleep. She was alert, and very eager to leave.
"Excellent. Are we all prepared to move, then?" Aevian asked.
"I believe all of my things are ready, and I myself am ready as well. And it's such a lovely day. We should get started as soon as we can." Evayl said.

Rayl gave a nod of his head before looking to the two women then to Aidan, stopping his look about to focus on who he was addressing" I too am ready...Sir Lowell, are all your things intact? If so we shall be off then."

"All I need is my Lance." He said and moved his head towards the impalement instrument on his back. Well that and a few things that fit fine underneath all this armor, like my gold pouch. You'd be surprised how little you are pickpocketed that way... terribly inconvenient when shopping though. He thought for a moment then returned his gaze to Rayl. "However I need to go pay for my room and tell the staff I'm no longer staying." Unfortunately I didn't kill their ruler and get given free board.
After a short and very uneventful talk that doesn't even warrant a full sentence, Aidan was all ready to leave. He learned how to travel light a long time ago.

Aevian looked between them all and clapped her hands together, as if to signify attention to be grabbed. Eyes looking between them all, she shrugged a bit with a dutiful grin on her face.
"Excellent, sounds like we're off!"
That grin turning to smile, she quickly made her way outside, placed her hands in her pockets, whistling, or atleast trying to, on her way out the door. The group would only have to wait momentarily for Lowell of course, but she was getting tired of being cooped up on the inside, the day was right for travel, afterall.
