Kelvin stooped down low as he entered the cave. "Wow, it's small in here," he thought to himself. He sat down in a corner and attempted to awkwardly stretch out. However there simply wasn't enough room in the cave, so he pulled his legs in close. When Yaen suggested firewood, Kelvin jumped at an opportunity to get out. "I'll go find some wood," he said, "Who's coming with me?"

Chelsea looked up at Kelvin. She had taken a spot in the back of the cave, after making sure Spirit would be ok in it. Curled up in a ball, she was shaking like mad. Not from fear or anything of the sort, but from the cold of the rain. This was strange for her. She used to always just lay out in the rain and enjoy it. Why was it having such a different effect now? All she knew was she was just so cold. Her first instinct was to jump up and go with Kelvin but... she just couldn't. She just laid there, huddled in a ball and trying to warm herself.

He hadn't been paying attention when it started raining. It felt like it came out of nowhere, he still wasn't used to the concept of Rain. It was still fairly foreign to him, sure it happened everyonce in a while in his home... like once every other year if you got lucky. He forgot how easily it happened in the rest of Elibe.
His face looked foul, he was drenched by the rain, and he was huddling in a small cave. He looked at his sketch that he had been working on, just a smear of black and wetness. It was going so nicely too... With a sigh he took out the band that held his hair, letting it fall long so he could wring it out. He totally missed how it looked like he was copying Yaen, and the what it look like to others. His hair was wet, and he didn't like that. That was all that mattered.
He sat with his knees to his chest, his slightly soggy bag sitting on the ground. Luckily his book was stowed away before the rain ruined all of his pictures. He'd have to work and make it again later when things got a little... dryer. "Thanks for the fire Sir Waltz."
He turned his head expectantly to Kelvin as he instantly volunteered, and he automatically assumed that Chelsea would just go off with her BF so they could be all lovey-dovey and other stuff that made Valcrist sick to his stomach... But she didn't, oddly enough. She was busy shivering, maybe she didn't like rain or something? Yaen obviously didn't want to, or else he would of volunteered first, since it was his idea. Gabe was still injured, so that basically left Valcrist by default.
"I guess I'll go Kelvin." He said, putting his hair back again. It was going to be a bad time, but... oh well.

Kelvin nodded at Valcrist, "Alright give me a minute." Kelvin walked over to Chelsea and wrapped his arms around her. He held her for a moment, then kissed her on the cheek, "I'll be back," he said giving her a quick squeeze. Then he stooped over and stepped out of the cave and into the rain. Kelvin personally loved the rain. It was refreshing and it kept him alert. The rain suddenly flashed him back to before any of this, when he and Merio had been looking for Rayl. He wondered where his brother was, but he had to focus on the task at hand.

"Aaron, you look ready to fall over. We should try and find some shelter somewhere." Morgoth spoke up. The green-haired mage couldn't discount him. He'd been pushing himself since before meeting up with the group, and moving on foot was inefficient in the best of times.
Still moving on, he realized they were moving up an incline. "Just a bit further... If I can get a good view of the area, I'll have a better idea of where to look for shelter." He looked back at them, giving a small smirk towards them. "Don't worry. I'm not good for much farther, so we'll manage to find shelter of some kind." They probably wouldn't have picked it up, but the Mage normally headed straight for cover when he neared the end of the proverbial rope. Only desperation had kept him going to Laus as long as he had.
As he came to the top of the rise, he was afforded a slightly better view. It appeared the area had made a shift to more rocky terrain than he expected. ...And there was the road. Ah. We were going parallel to the road. That explains why we didn't find it... whoops.
That was when the rain hit. He started looking for cover in detail then. Unlike Gabriel, he didn't think of looking for a cave in the hillside, but he had read about something termed "tent pines." Pine trees with heavily drooping branches. Inside, they were clear of limbs, and so, could make excellent shelters for those who weren't too picky. He did notice a stand of trees not far away from one of the rocky slopes, and it had a few pines in it. Of course, Aaron didn't realize that tent pines were not necessarily common, or that there was a cave within a hundred meters or so of the location. Or that there were occupants there already, for that matter.
Looking back to the others, they looked how he felt, though he was trying not to let on how weary he was becoming. "I might be able to find cover in those trees." He said, pointing to the location. "And it'll be more sheltered than up here. Shall we go then?"
OoC: Not sure if I need to leave this, but this is a prompt to go ahead and move us Lea... Unless you suddenly come up with another idea. lol

Val couldn't help but roll his eyes with a slight huff. He didn't even bother looking, since he was so sure it was something adorably precious. He was still in a foul mood for, well, a lot of reasons. So he kinda just wanted to get over with this. Yay, more rain... He thought he would like rain. He thought he'd want to go running in the falling water from the sky... He didn't. He didn't like it all. Why didn't any of the books talk about how cold and wet it was?
He played with the hilt of his sword, absentmindedly pulling it slightly in and out of it's sheath. He stood out in the rain while he waited for Kelvin, staring out into the distance as his wet hair matted to his head. "We need to find some dry wood." He stated the obvious, looking over to the cavalier that stood a good few inches taller then him. The sooner the better. I prefer dry to wet anyday.

Chelsea gave a small smile as Kelvin held her quickly before going out. She had no idea why she was feeling like this. It wasn't worry, it wasn't fear. What was making her shake so? The rain shouldn't be cold enough to make her this cold. So what could it be? She shook her head and moved closer to the fire, trying to warm up. She hoped Kelvin would be back soon to help get her warm, but until then the fire would do. She just wished she could figure out why it was like this...

Morgoth wore his hood the whole time, he didn't want anybody recognizing him. I'd hate to take shelter, but I'm really tired, he thought. I'll take the risk of getting caught. "Aaron, you look ready to fall over. We should try and find some shelter somewhere," he said, trying to push the weakness spotlight onto Aaron.
They turned up hill to find shelter and then found the other road they had been looking for. I've been following someone who has no clue where we're going? Morgoth thought, anger rising inside. We could have walked all the way to Sarcae before we realized where we were. I've got to be less trusting. And then Morgoth began to think of other matters.
I need to find Theian, he thought to himself, or someone with some kind of weakness that I can use to manipulate them into helping me. My new plan is much more reliable, but I'll need at least four to six more people to join my ontouraze.

Hearing no objection, Aaron started down the hill. It was something of a zig-zaggy path due to the rocks, and the slope. By the time they arrived at the cluster of trees, Aaron was pretty much soaked through, but he did manage to spot something ahead.
Much better than a tent pine, he'd spotted a cave. "Let's take shelter there shall we?" he said, pointing. He had to shout a bit to be heard clearly, but soon they would be out of the storm.
Athos' beard, I hope this cave isn't prone to flooding... And with that, he took a turn and found himself looking into a small camp that had been formed.

Valcrist and Kelvin were gone. It'd be hard to find dry wood, what with the horrid weather. The cave was pretty much a bubble, from what Gabriel could gather. Other than the rain and the occasional thunder, nothing could be heard outside. Which meant Gabriel practically jumped once the green-haired man entered the cave. The rain was so heavy and it was so dark outside, that even if you were looking through the entrance, it'd have been hard to spot something out there.
"Who are you?" Gabriel asked, trying to hold his tome in his left hand as he pointed with his right towards the newcomer. Damned arm. If this kept up, he wouldn't be able to fight if he had to. He had to see a medic or cleric, and fast.

"Alright, let's move quickly then. I like the rain, but it can make you sick. Plus we need dry firewood." Kelvin strode off into the woods, keeping and even pace that Val could keep up with. "Not sure if we'll be able to find dry wood, but if we move deeper into the forest, the rain may not be as heavy, and the wood may be drier," Kelvin said, turning his head towards Val, waiting for a response.

Morgoth continued to follow Aaron, but there was a cave, so they went to the cave. And then there was people in the cave. Morgoth's anger boiled into rage as he tried to keep from clobbering Aaron.
"Hello," he said in his rough voice. "He's Aaron and I'm Morgoth. Are you friend or foe?" Please be foe, Morgoth thought. I'm itching for a fight. The boy seemed to be holding something in his hand. Instantly suspicious, he began to inch his hand towards his tome. He gave Morgoth a similar feeling to what Aaron's presence caused.

"Calm yourself, Gabriel." Yaen warned from his spot, not even opening his eyes. "It's the mage I was traveling with before. By the way, learn to be more careful with those fireballs. I nearly died."

"Don't worry," He flatly told Kelvin, keeping up with him easily. "I have no plans to stay out it in this." Val didn't really know much about the wood gathering thing, but he could make some guesses. "I think... we should also check places with thick trees. Their covering might keep the group under them a tad bit drier." He assumed. They were far enough from the cave that if they looked back, what they would see was basically just wet wood and falling rain.
His eyes were good at picking up small details, they needed to be for his metalworking, but this rain and his general lack irritation was making it hard. Why did they need could they find wet wood and dry it? Or... did it not work that way... Still kinda new to this being out in the wilderness thing. Also to this rain thing. And the forest thing. In fact, now that he thought about it... this whole not desert thing was still kinda alien to him.
"Do you see anything?" His voice was still flat and all around unenthusiastic. It was cold, it was wet, and he was starting to hate all the hair he had.

Chelsea sat curled up near the fire as the newcomers came in. When she noticed them, she instinctively grabbed an arrow and clutched it tight. After Yaen had said he knew at least the green-haired man, her grip relaxed a bit but she was still cautious. She didn't want to let her guard down. She looked the new people over. The green-haired man Yaen knew looked alright. He had nice eyes. The black-haired man with him gave her the creeps, and was the main reason she still had her arrow. But she wouldn't do anything yet. For all she knew, she was completely wrong. She barely even noticed the lone girl in their group, besides that she seemed quiet. She gave a silent sigh and went back to focusing on being warm and Kelvin coming back.
