Richter looked over his shoulder as Marle pointed out the pink haired girl in the crowd. She didn't look anything like a soldier, much less one of his.
"No, she doesn't..." replied the pink haired commander. He turned his horse to get a better look at her. An Etrurian spy? She didn't look the part, but then again, those usually made the best spies. When had she slipped into their ranks? Back in Sacae would be the most logical time. Had she joined them after the battle at Ariston's fort? "We don't really have time for an investigation at the moment. We've lost enough time as it is, what with all these newcomers."
Richter glanced at the mountains and back. It should be just a few more days until they reached Edessa, at the pace they were going. "I can always have one of my men keep an eye on her, if you'd like."

Marcus had been following closely behind Richter when Marle brought up Fran and questioned why she was here. Marcus moved quickly up to Richter's side. "The pink haired girl over there? That's my childhood friend Fran. We grew up together. As for where she came from, she showed up just after the battle at Ariston's fort and I can assure you, she's no Etrurian spy. I can introduce her if you like."

Before Marle could say her piece about whether Richter could keep an eye on her, she was a little startled by Marcus. She had never met this fellow either, then again, she didn't fraternize much with Richter's men. She was seen as an outside force not worth being spoken to, whether or not she was related to him. It didn't bother her at all, it made things easier in some ways. Marle's clear green eyes looked the robed figure up and down, and raised an eyebrow at him. His silence had done him justice to sneak up on her.
She regarded him with a look of interest, and nodded her head.
"I think that would be wise. If she's been with us that long, it's a little unnerving that she's never been introduced, atleast to whom she is following. For a moment, I thought she was a stow-away."
Odd how no one even bothered to report about the girl. She stuck out like green grass would in Ilia.

"Can do, my lady," Marcus say with a slight bow, and then turned and dashed to Fran, with a slight assist from his wings. When he got to her, he touched her on the shoulder and said, "Come with me, Fran. The commander wishes to speak with you."

Fran didn't see Marcus as he approached her, she felt the slight touch on her shoulder.
"Come with me, Fran. The commander wishes to speak with you."
"Me? But why?" Fran looked to Marle and Richter, she wondered why they wanted to speak with her. Did she do something wrong? No, she hadn't done anything except...well...making some soldiers shivered with her cold aura. Fran just nodded and followed Marcus.
She was in front of Marle and Richter now, not knowing what to say. They were high-ranked officer, she should speak politely. Well, she wasn't sure how humans who living outside Arcadia greeted each other but it might be same with the humans in Arcadia. But if Marcus was really with them all this time, they might have figured her identity as a dragon, if Marcus had told them. Anyway, they would know sooner or later.
Fran bowed. "I am Fran Northwind, an Ice Dragon." No need to hide it after all, except they hated dragons for some reasons. "Nice to meet you Commander."

Clair stayed nearby, waiting for Marcus to return with Fran. She thought it was a good idea to at least maintain a basic knowledge of the people traveling with them. It was the responsibility of an Assistant Officer to keep up with every situation that may be thrown her way. Of course, she doubted that Fran would literally be thrown at her, but she'd do her best to be ready if it ever did happen. How ridiculous. That sounded like something involving Lyar. I wonder where he's at now. How he's doing....
Marcus had been an incredible Aerobat, facing down Arriston, and his wyverns alongside, Commander Richter. He'd proven himself, so she had little doubt that Richter would be hostile towards Fran. Maybe a little irked that he'd not heard of her sooner, but She couldn't imagine more than that.
In that battle, with Arriston, had been when Clair had really grown accustomed to the feel of arrows singing over her shoulder; wind blasting through her hair; Corona's pulsing power thrusting them through the battlefield of the air. If Marcus was that good... then Clair really ought to see if he'd work with her on some aerial maneuver practice. Perhaps with Fran, as well. She wanted to say something then, but heads of the armies had first say in situations like this. At least, if you followed protocols, which Clair did... most of the time.

Alaric was hungry for something to do and this soldier looked like he could be fun to mess with. Alaric wasn't sure how far he could get away with something in this place, so he decided to just check out the boundarys before doing someth.., Alaric was cut off by the soldier. "i dont know what to do with you so im just going to take you to the commander and see what he has in store for you." The soldier said boredly.
Alaric walked past the soldiers looking at him like they wanted a fight, the boy felt cornered and hoped his rebelious personality wouldn't come out in front of this leader, All that mattered was what he says Alaric started feeling anxious. Before he new it he was close to a pink haired man on a horse with scars on his face, Alaric stood in front of him waiting his turn for his jugement. Alaric looked around bored and saw the knight that handed him over he was slightly aggrivated she thought he was a bandit but it wasnt like he had any say, he glanced a qucik smirk and shouted "can i have it back now haha." in an ignorant way.

"Eh?" Something was going down with the commander. That kid that had been with the bandits looked like he was in a mess of trouble. David got a little closer to hear what the commander was going to say about him.
David saw this kind of thing all the time, a newbie to the Mercenary business looks for a job in all the wrong places and doesn't get the proper paperwork. However, David had been in a similar spot himself. If something bad were to happen, he'd probably have to do something. He wasn't sure what, just something.

Richter looked to the pink haired girl that Marcus had ushered up. She introduced herself very politely. Lots of nice, polite girls out in Ilia apparently, though when he thought about it, Fran had probably joined up back in Sacae.
"Well, I'd expect you to be a dragon, what being Marcus's childhood friend and all," replied the rebel commander. "If you weren't you probably have to be pretty old, if I'm correct. That or dead." The pink haired man nodded. "Anyways, it's nice to meet you too. Just remember to introduce yourself next time you decide to sneak in with a traveling army. Unknown faces tend to put everyone on edge."
As the commander spoke, the black haired bandit-mercenary kid from earlier was ushered up to their little command group by the soldier who had tackled him in the first place. Interrupting, he abruptly asked Marle if he could "have it back". Richter eyed the mercenary, who up to this point was still unnamed as far as the pink haired man was concerned, but said nothing. After all, he was talking to Marle. She was a commander too.

Marle had crossed her arms as the ice dragon had come over. She was mad, a little bit atleast. This was a little inappropriate. The girl's bow seemed a little weird for Marle, as she gave a glance to Richter with a raised brow. She had never been bowed to before, only saluted. Chuckling, she saw a soldier come over with the boy from earlier, but she rose a finger and silenced them further. She was busy.
"Indeed. What Commander Abend just said, it is nice to meet you..."
Marle looked a little troubled. A Dragon. She knew about Marcus, and rumors had been spreading...well, she was a little off her game, but still, it needed to be said.
"Again, he is correct. You cannot simply just join an army without first giving knowledge, or asking permission. You probably would have been welcome, with your ties to Marcus being as they are, but please, first inform someone first..."
Marle ended in a smile. She was tired of being such a hard-ass, though she had to be all the time. Responsibility was heavy. Rounding back on Alaric, she looked at is sword, untucking it out from under her arm, and studying the boy's face. Nodding to the soldier who had brought him, and in turn, he untied the boy.
"I will release you of your bonds, and return your weapon, but first you must swear to me to do no harm to this army on Ilian soil, for if you do, you will suffer under penalty of death. I will also see your family shamed. A Mercenary's prestige and honor holds for the whole family, afterall."
That was how she imagined it. Richter's family was of the same way. a name made for themselves through the duties they had done. If anything, hopefully it will be a fair deterrent. She couldn't make the boy swear to all things, sadly. On Ilian soil, they were law. There will be Ilian mercenaries who will fight against the Ilian army if they are paid well enough. Such was the life of one.
"Second, if you choose to disband from us, you will report nothing of us to anyone. Our business is not another's. Are we clear?"
Marle held up his sword. If he took it, then he had made a promise. Marle would hold him to it. It was that simple. That complicated.

"I apologize. I am just following Marcus, I am not aware about the rules here. I just left my village so I am kinda lost with the custom. To be honest, this is my first time being in outside of my village. I promise I won't make a same mistake again." Fran realized they they were right, she shouldn't have joined without saying anything.
The ice dragon raised her head, she was glad to be accepted although she was lectured by them. She sighed and looked at Marcus, giving him a smile. Now, she wouldn't have problem anymore, at least for now. "Well, you have a good leader here."

Marcus sat back as Fran introduced herself. When Marle spoke, Marcus could almost feel animosity from her. She sounded a little angry and it was probably best to give her some clearance for now. After the commanders were finished, Marcus walked away with Fran. In response to her statement, Marcus said, "He certainly is. I owe my life to that man. After all, he freed from that fort and trusted me when no one else would. I trust him with my very life."

That female commander, she's too nice for her own good to trust a mercenary like that. But this kid probably wouldn't say anything even if she didn't make him swear.
David receded from the commanders so that they wouldn't wonder what he was doing. He was pretty bored, cause he didn't get to fight, so he kept away from most of the soldiers and thought about stuff. Stuff like: I hope the price in booze doesn't go up because these soldiers will be in town.

Well, here was her chance to speak more with dragons about dragons. Really, it seemed fairly unusual to Clair that everyone had accepted Marcus with such little concern, and excitement.
The lone survivor of the bandits, or mercenaries, or whatever they were seemed to be getting off light, but if Marle, Captain Marle that is, would release him, Clair trusted her. About as much as she trusted Richter, actually. Joining up with that crew certainly hadn't paid off in the end for the youngster, but perhaps he'd handle things better in the future.
"Commander, if you don't need anything of me right now, I'd like to go and speak with Marcus and Fran. Corona could probably use a breather as well." The pegasus grunted quietly, and pawed at the snow for a moment, as she absently rubbed his neck.

Alaric Put his hand underneath his coat and touched the tattoo of his family crest and thought of his brother and how he was, it was nearly a year since he left from home and saw his older brother synkkis, He missed his guidance and virtue and how he always kept him out of trouble and hid him from athoritys when he got a little to over his head and a fight wouldn't solve anything. Then the thought of his mother the noble pegasis knight and his father who taught him to do what was right for his family and country.
Alaric caught himself just standing there looking at his sword he felt dumb, but instead of being more awkward came and grabbed his sword and said to the knight. "I would never hurt an army of my country and my word and family's honor is all i have" and gave her a smile. "why is this army a secret an you are the Illian army. Aren't you? I would like to join if possible for a hot meal and a small price, but first you won't bring harm to my country because if you are i would have to return my sword and try the best i can for my people alone or with many." Alaric said suspicously.
