Swirling dark forces of the universe coming together and creating a barrier for him? Sweet. "Thanks Razzle." She was Razzle, and he was Dazzle. Together they will make flashy attacks that cause people to die from sheer awesomeness, obliterated from existence. Their mouths dropping so hard it becomes dislocated and falls off making them live the rest of their life as some kinda creepy jawless person. What would remain would be little piles of dust, destroyed from how impressed they were. He might need to cut down actually, he put his team at risk with the coolness he exuded right now.
He brought his hands up, it was a bit lame to just use the same modification over and over, but it was the only thing that seemed to work. It creating a super heated volley of flame that pierced even the hide of these unnatural monstrosities. Maybe he should try to experiment... "Raining Justice!" Elias shouted loudly and thrust his arm into the sky, in his hand a sphere of flame gathered. It spun, slowly, then faster and faster and faster. Slowly it raised from his head and circled around and around before shooting straight up into the air.
"Wait for it..." Elias said, holding up a finger. His target being the wolf trying to attack him through his shield of darkness. It volleyed above his head, curving in the air about five feet above his head. As it reached it's highest point, it shot straight down. Colliding into the beast from above, the explosion was remarkably small. The wolf slid a few feet, but his onslaught wasn't stopped. It looked like it's legs were crippled as well as probably it's back, but it still moved. These things were like... some... unstoppable wolf thing.
It moved slowly to the point it was easy picking for just about anyone, it was... kinda sad really. Even when it should be escaping it remained and fought. These things were messed up in the head. Still, Elias' spell wasn't quite as effective as he hoped. Maybe he'd need more powerful magic before he could pull off a true raining justice...

Raining Justice. Nathaniel liked the sound of that. HE wouldn't steal it from the blood red mage, but he could use some signature line to be said each time he cast a powerful spell he would have to think of that. But that would need to wait til the wolves were out of the way. So time to finish Elias' last wolf of right about now.
So he slowly slid himself up, fighting through the pain in his torso-hip area. He raised his right hand up and his tome in th other performed once again the lightning bolt looking spell. He put a lot of force into the spell and through it at the wolf. How the h**l? He missed. Now Nathan was an easygoing guy even in battle but now he was angry.
He ran up to the wolf forming a second lightning bolt. He brought the bolt up and then back down. He realeased his grip at the moment of impact. And thats one less stupid hard to hit wolf.

Whenever the wolf tried to get near Elias, instead of the balls of energy just blocking it, Riza made them so they formed tendrils of darkness and smacked it away. She was amazed by Elias' display of power, almost alarmed. I feel... almost bad for these things. I'd better put it out of it's misery. the thought.
Riza concentrated her energy away from Elias' shield, lowering it's power to only one lonely, gyrating ball. With a whispered spell, the witch formed a bubble of dark energy over the wolf's head, cutting it off from the air it so angrily gasped into its lungs. With a small jerk, the cursed thing finally stopped moving. She the resumed maintaining Elias' shield. "These things... They are sickening," Riza commented darkly.

"And that's why we need to kill them. They aren't natural. They're like... unnatural wolf thingies. It's not right." Elias scrunched up his face, looking at the monstrosities. He bent over to the corpse of the monster, his eyes shut as he put his hand on it. After a second of thinking the presumably dead creature snapped to life and began snapping like the insane beast it was. "Oh Shi-" Elias sputtered and a quick close range firespell put the thing down hopefully permanently. Even after Razzle suffocated it... it had just enough life to try to attack Elias... These things...
"Well that was surprising. These things are harder to kill then even the crimson mage." He laughed. It was a bit unnerving, but Elias didn't notice that. It would probably haunt him later when he actually gave it some thought, but for now he was too interested in the wolves. He kneeled back down and felt it again. With all that fire, dark magic, and explosion, it's hide was completely intact. It was... unusual. He reached into his cloak and pulled out a knife on his belt. What? Sure he had a knife, how else could he cook such wonderful food?
He took it, and with much much force, he eventually pierced the hide. "Someone, come over here and help me." He called over his shoulder. "Specifically someone with muscles." He wanted this hide, it would be a good way to study just what makes them so tough.

"I still cannot help but feel pity for these horrible things. Perhaps they had been wolves once?" Riza lamented, watching Elias try to cut away some of the demon's skin. "I think the others are busy, let me try, she added, holding her hand out for the knife. "Before you say no, I'll have you know that your father had me train my body every day before he helped me train my mind."
She looked at the Crimson Mage's eyes, seeing a bit, if not more, of madness. Perhaps he had let his magic take part of him... Could anima magic do that? Riza suspected that if one spent all their time studying magic of any kind, it would effect their personality to an extent. She wanted to know more about him. And through him, more about Heath and Liza.

"Oh I know. He made me do the same crap." Elias groaned. "Sometimes he wouldn't let me come back inside until all the wood was cut..." He muttered a bit bitterly, putting all he could into forcing the knife through the dead flesh. "Come on, over here. Help me push it through the flesh. It's rock hard." He took her hand and together they were strong enough to slowly push the blade through. It would of been too much for either of them alone, though Garnet probably could of done it. Blood splattered on his clothes, but he was too focused to pay it mind right now. Still, a subconscious part of him cringed. He... he didn't really like blood.
After a few minutes of grunting and forcing, the tough hide was freed from the body. He held it up for a few moments, not wanting to look at the skinless animal left behind. It'd probably make him throw up. It would need to be cleaned later. If he had the time, he'd skin all the wolves but there wasn't enough. He'd have to settle for just this one. He should bring it to a tanner to see what they have to say about it. If he had enough, maybe he could make a cloak! "Hey, Garnet." He called over the red headed man. "Can you help me?" Still... this isn't an opportunity that came often. He'd have to try and get as much as he could.
"I need some help skinning these things." He called out, pulling a leather thing out of his things. It was his spare cloak, the one he was given in Ilia. The leather makes it better for holding the hides then letting the just sit the way they are. He'd clean the hides tonight, or later when he had the time.

Elena made her way over to Elias, pulling out her knife again. "I'll help you out, Strawberry. I've skinned quiet a few things in my time, I have." She crouched down next to one of the wolf things and started to skin it. Elias wasn't kidding that these things weren't easy to skin. Then again, she kept her knife nice and sharp so it made it slightly easier. It took a few minutes longer than she had expected before, but she eventually got it off. Taking a sigh of relief and wiping her brow, she tossed the skin over to the mage. "There's one for you. Still need more?"

"Thankyou, young Mana." Cecil said, after stepping aside, and watching her deal with the tainted mongrel. He smiled at her, glad that he'd hired the small group to come along, even if it did put them in danger.
"Whoever's is injured should let me treat them. The Doom Wolves, more dangerous than merely their teeth and claws." Seeing Nathaniel's injury, he approached the young man, and produced a small cane topped with a grey-blue jewel.
"Be at ease, acolyte. This won't take long."
Closing his eyes for a moment, the old magic user held out his staff. It started to glow brightly for a moment, giving off a radiant brilliance which encompassed the two for a moment. The injuries given by doom wolves did not heal easily. He'd heard of some injuries, from his colleagues, had nearly crippled some, despite the apparent superficial nature of the wounds. Even the smallest injuries could sometimes prove dreadfully difficult to heal. Even the tainted creature's power would melt away in the face of this of his healing power though.
When it was finished, he sighed, breathing in the noticeably fresher air left around them. Then the shadow's of the wood closed in once more.
Nearby, Garnet was holding his hand, flexing it as it continued to burn. There weren't many scratches on it, but putting his hand in the foaming, frothing jaws of a doom wolf had turned out to be a bad idea.
"Garnet. Let me deal with that."
The mercenary looked up, and started to protest that he'd be ok, but Cecil looked rather determined. Why shouldn't he get it healed? It would only slow him down if it remained.
"It feels like I dipped my hand into a boiling cauldron."
"Yes. That would be the creature's acidic saliva. Don't do that again."
"I wouldn't be around if I hadn't caught it's jaws."
Cecil worked quickly, doing his glowy cane-y thing, and thee red-headed merc felt his injuries retored as if they'd never been.
"All the same, best to try and avoid that in the future. Hmm?"
Garnet was amused to notice Elias, Chloe, and Riza all trying to skin the beasts. "Try to avoid touching their guts, hey? If their as dangerous as their slob, then you could all be dealing with hand some pretty painful burns."
They didn't seem to be getting injured though, so he went and picked up his slim sword, and gave one of the creatures a good whack. Only a small cut formed, as Garnet frowned down at it. After a moment's pause, he gave another slash and tore into the creatures hide more. Eventually, he developed a method of scoring the hide, and then stabbing his weapon in and tearing it out. It was messier than the other's method, but cut more hide per cut.
"What do these things even eat. Is there even enough food in the area for them to exist off of?" Hunting and, more specificly, skinning had never been a particularly strong area for him, but Garnet was pretty pleased with what he'd managed to cut away.
Maybe it would be useful down the road.

Nathaniel hadn't realised his undershirt had been cut. His robes were fine but he couldn't manage with shreds being his torso wardrobe. He decided to wait for Flo to finish skinning the wolf, to ask for a shirt. The Merc. Was ironically more likely to macth his muscular under the robe physic. But Flo took too much time and Nathaniel got annoyed with the scratchy shirt hanging in peices. He took off his robes and tore the shirt apart. He walked to the merc. and asked, "Flo could I get a shirt or something. Something not being this demon pelt."

Mana looked at herself, her clothes was dirty with the wolf's blood. It was stained with black color. Hearing that their saliva was dangerous from Cecil, she thought that their blood might be dangerous too. "Well, it seems I have to say good bye to this outfit." She grabbed her bag which lying on the ground, she threw it before the battle began.
"I want to change my clothes. It won't be long." Mana walked away far enough from the group, she glanced back to make sure no one following her. She looked for a bush to wear her new outfit. Bridget gave her some of her outfit when Mana asked her to teach how to be a good woman, she still had them inside her bag.
Mana checked her surrounding, she didn't want someone see her, especially Nathaniel. She undressed quickly and wore the one with the same speed. Luckily, the size was fit with her body, it was a little tight but she could bear with it. She then threw the blood stained clothes to the bush and turned around, but she glanced back before leaving. "Good bye."
She was back to the group, watching that them doing something. The myrmidon approached them and tilted her head. "Why are you collecting the hide?"

"Be... Cause..." He muttered as he struggled to cut the beast's skin off its back. He avoided getting the beasts blood on his hands as much as possible, though his gloves would probably stop it from hitting his flesh in the first place. "These... things are.... tough. I'd like a Tanner to see these hides, to see if they can make heads or tales of them. If we want to figure out why these things are messed up like they are, the first logical step is to analyze what makes them up. I'd bring back the whole corpse if I could, but we can't take that time so the hides will have to do. Besides, it might make for a good cape." He turned with a grin, sweat on his brow from the sheer difficulty of cutting through these monstrous hides.
Looking into the air for a second, he thought. "That's... all of them I think." He took the skin removed from the monster and set it near the others. "So... Manners." He smiled. "Was there something you needed?"

Garnet stretched, and dusted his hands off as Nathaniel approached him. "Sure. I think I've got something tucked down in my vulnerary bag. Extra padding for it."
The Mercenary reached down into the bag he carried, and eventually drew out a rolled up, sleeveless shirt, similar to the one he was wearing at that moment.
"Ahh, you've got some muscle I see. This should fit you well enough then. Here you go." He tossed the small roll to the blond-haired man, before resecuring his medicine bag to his lower back, where he kept it.
Garnet took a moment to sheath his swords before reaching down, picking up the hide he'd skinned, and subsequently dropping it on top of Elias' pile. "If there's a tanner that can actually work the stuff, I want some of that too." Garnet smiled at the mage.
He looked up and saw.... Mana? "Mana? Wow...." The clothes really altered the way she looked. Much more daring. Elias was certain to say that there wasn't enough red, she really looked the part of swordswoman now. Though Garnet thought she looked more like an Etrurian mercenary than a sacaen myrmidon now.
Garnet gave her a grin. "Well, we all look the part now. Especially since Preacher Man lost his robe over there."
"How we doing. All ok? Chloe? How about you?"

Elena looked up as Garnet spoke to her. "Hm? Me?" She looked herself over. "I mean I have a few scratches here and there, I do, but I don't think they're any serious." She looked them over as she talked, having a couple on her arm and a decent one on her leg. "I'll let you decide, handsome. I think I'm fine, but if you think they need to be healed, then by all means go for it." She sat down against a nearby tree and slipped her knife back into its holster. Giving a little sigh, she winced. "Ok, I changed my mind, I did. Maybe I really should be healed." She gave a little groan from the pain. She was probably feeling it more now that the adrenaline was wearing off and her body was picking up on it. And when she thought forward as to what could be coming next... She wanted to be healed.

"Ma-Manners?" This Crimson Mage was really good with nickname. But she didn't expect she would get one. She shrugged, it was just impossible to refuse, even Garnet was forced to accept Fluorite as his nickname. "Well, just remember to be careful. I am afraid their blood is poisonous, I even threw away my old clothes because it was stained with blood." Mana took a pair of gloves from her bag. "Take it, just in case any of you need it." Well, it was not hers actually. She hoped Bridget wouldn't mind.
"Hmm? What is with the 'wow', Garnet? Is something wrong with me?" Mana looked over her body, she wondered what wrong with her to make Garnet have that kind of reaction. The Etrurian mercenary...no, I mean, Sacaen myrmidon couldn't find anything wrong. She didn't realize that she looked really different now. "Well, it was about this outfit, it is not mine, it belongs to my friend Bridget."
"Old man Cecil, you have another patient here." Mana gestured to Elena then knelt beside her. "What are you feeling now?"

"Blood?" He looked at her like a little child, puzzling over her words for a minute. Then he looked at his hands. "Ah! Blood!" Quickly he fretted and flailed and flung his gloves off his hands. It was hard to tell, the gloves were already red, but the blood of these beasts was blackened with taint. Gingerly, like a wounded animal, he took the gloves from Manners. "Erm... Sorry. I don't like blood much. Don't tell anyone, our secret. From secret agent to secret agent." He said with a laugh.
He held the gloves in the air by the pinky, and stared at them from all angles. Slowly turning them between his fingers, his eyes were narrowed and picking them apart with great scrutiny. "Not... Red enough. But white, which is almost as good. It dyes easily, I can make them red next time we stop for camp." He said allowed, like the expert appraiser he was. "Thanks Manners." He smiled. Her outfit.... it was on the right track, but needed more red. He'd have to give her pointers in style and fashion later.
