I think I know why we don't get a lot of mages. Just looking at that Magic shop made my wallet hurt. >>; Now, I realise that in the games magic is much more expensive than weapons, but maybe, just maybe, we could lower the prices a bit?

Looking at it now, I agree. Prices are being modified:
Lightning Was: 630 Is: 560
Shine was: 900 Is: 700
Divine was: 2500 (?!) Is: 1500
Flux was: 900 Is: 560
Nosferatu was: 1800 Is: 1400 (Still expensive due to it's Health Draining ability, sorry.)
Luna was: 2200 Is: 1700 (Again, still expensive due to it's Resistance Negating power.)
I think those are a bit more reasonable. I'll have to look at adjusting Staves sometime too.

I remember training my magic units in Sacred Stones and buying books always was devastating to the rupee purse.

Hmm... The Heal staff really needs to come down too, IMO. I think healers ought to be able to stock some cash for that magic tome in the future, in addition to buying a better staff. And a certain green haired mage would rather not have to pay more than the cost of a new weapon to buy an item with no offensive capabilities.
I imagine most other magic users would also agree that staves shouldn't be left out of the price mods.
EDIT: Ah, now I see that Wyatt did, indeed, mention fixing staff prices.
