Alexander left the town where he had feasted on human flesh about two weeks ago. Now he was just wandering about aimlessly. The fact that he did not know where things were leading him to annoyed him. Moreover, Alexander was haunted by his grandfather's words- the words which he heard at the ancient magic facility. The fact that he looked confused.
If this really was the case, what was he getting into? What was his purpose? Was he not supposed to avenge his fellow dead dragons? Was power not the only way to do so? As these thoughts kept bothering him, he stopped when he saw something out of the ordinary.
There seemed to be a shrine of some sort. But why would it be here, in the middle of the forest?

Alex entered the shrine and was astounded by the the ambience. Built of fine marble, the inside was magnificent. There were many statues made of various materials- gold, clay, steel, and strangely, even wood, although it was not exactly perfect. He saw pictures depicting battles and civil wars. What exactly was this place?
Then he walked further down the entrance to see the hall diverge into two paths. Deciding to go into the right path, he walked in closer to see a group of monks sitting in a circle, around a golden statue of a woman. Who was she, and why were they sitting around her, or rather, it?
He wanted to walk a bit closer to the scene, but then a man in thin, white robes halted him. " I'm sorry, dear sir, but you aren't allowed in. It would be a disturbance to their praying."
"I see. So what is this place, and who are they praying to?" Alex asked, totally confused.

The priest blinked eyes in disbelief. The bearded man did not know of St.Elimine? His mout twitched twice before he answered, in a slightly shriller voice, "My, my child. Has not anyone taught you of history and religion? You seem to be ignorant."
Alex was angered by his words, but tried his best to keep his cool. He grunted, " Well, you don't hear people talking a lot about history nowadays."
"I- I'mm sorr-ry, sir!" the priest stuttered, " But everyone teaches their children about the past, about the war with the dragons! Everyone knows of the heroes who defeated the dragons in war and sent them to another dimension. These are mere childhood stories."
Alex's mouth twitched at the sound of those words. So this place was a place of praise for those horrible humans who sent the manaketes into banishment? How vile these... creautres were! He clenched his fists tightly, trying not to lose his cool.
He was starting sweat. He could not stand this place, only destruction seemed fit for it. Yet he could not, not just yet, at least. He needed to know more about this place.
"Ah, the war. Is this some type of historical place of great importance then?" Alex asked awkwardly.
"Of-ff course not! This is a church you fool! We worship the great St. Elimine, one of the heroes who defeated the dragons!" the priest yelled, now infuriated.
So, this place was just to pray tribute to that wretched Elimine, was it? Alex gritted his teeth in anger. Did humans ever consider the feelings of dragons? Filthy, selfish creatures, they where. All they deserved was death! Death by fire, lightning and ice!
Still trying to keep himself cool, he asked, " So, if this is a church to worship St.Elimine, that means the statue is of the sait herself, right?"
The priest nodded, rather annoyed now.
Just at that moment, the sound of a gong was heard. The monks had finished praying.

The monks came out, with a blue haired man giving them some kind of potion as they came out. His robes looked... holy. Really holy. White robes with golden embroidery, he was also carrying a weird, yellow covered book with him. Perhaps he was the head of the church?
After all the monks left, the priest from before grabbed alex by rthe arm and dragged him over to the blue haired man. "I'm sorry father, unfortunately, I met this fool over here. He just walked in however he liked! And he knows filth about St.Elimine!" the priest spat.
" Now now, Finch, you know that's not the way monks treat people. And that is certainly not the way a monk talks." the Father replied, raising an eyebrow.
"But- But father? He was about to disturb the prayer! He didn't even know what you were doing or how sacred it was!!!" Finch screamed.
" I need no more of such talk, Finch. Join the others for lunch now, while I talk to this man." he ordered, turning to Alexander.
"Ye-yes, Father." Finch obeyed, hesitantly.
The Father turned towards Alexander. "Now, my friend, what brings a traveller such as yourself to the church over here?" he asked, kindly.
"Actually, I stumbled over here after wandering in the woods for quite a while. I was stunned that there was a shrine right in the middle of a forest and I wanted to check it out." Alex replied.

"Our shrine is most sacred. Those of us who escaped the prophet's rule decided to build a church here. We aim to spread the true message of St. Elimine!" the Father said.
" Who is this prophet, Father?" Alexander asked. This was interesting.
" The prophet is someone who has taken control over Etruria. No one knows what vile methods he has used, however, he has twisted the message of St.Elimine and has corrupted the once holy churches of Etruria!" the Father replied, the last bit with a bit of anger in it.
Alexander was amused by this. Were humans really that weak? Using lies and deceit the gain power? Alexander, however, was unaware of the fact that he too was the same.
"I sense that your mind is troubled and confsued, friend. Why don't you sit in front of the statue. You will get all your answers." the Father said, pushing Alexander in and going out of the room.
Alexander tried to refuse, but it all happened too soon. Sighing, he closed his eyes and tried to meditate, even though this was not exactly his strength. Though he was prejudiced against humans and their ways of worship, he was still confused. In hopes of relieving himself of this confused state, he attempted to do what the father had asked him to do.

Alex visioned himself in a room filled with fire and burning pillars. Everything was crumbling and he was just standing there in fear, confused what to do next.
Then a big insect, about the height of a teenager, pounced on Alexander as he tried to free himself from the insect's tight grip. It dug its legs into Alex's flesh(although this was a vision, so technically Alexander was getting goosebumps at this point). Howling in pain, Alexander tried transforming, but to no avail. He was going to get consumed by this awful-looking creature, perhaps never reaching his true destiny...
Then there was a sudden flash and a bang and Alex visioned himself being blasted of his feet and crashing into an old, dark storage room.
At first he was not able to see anything, until he saw a yellow, shining ball of light form behind him. Turning, he tried to touch this peculiar object.
But then he heard a painful shriek, followed by a hoarse, loud female voice shouting at him "DO NOT TOUCH ME!"
"Who are you? Where are you? SHOW YOURSELF, I DARESAY!" Alexander yelled back, not yielding yet.
"You are a manakete, yes? Ah, I generally thought the dragons hated humans, but you... I see confusion in your heart." the voice continued.
"YOU WILL NOT MOCK ME! I AM NOT CONFUSED! NOW SHOW YOURSELF, OR I'LL BLAST THE PLACE!" Alex roared.
-------
The father was observing Alex, and he saw as Alex started sweating frantically, he looked like he was almost collapsing. The father watched on in fear. Had he let in a dangerous enemy inside?
-------
Alex heard the voice sighing. "I will leave you alone Alex. Have a look at yout destiny, or should i say, a peek!" the voice giggled.
"WHAT?" Alex asked loudly, staring in disbelief.
Suddenly, his vissioned changed as he started seeing shades of green and navy blue.

The vision slowly became clear and Alexander saw the face of a man with long green hair. He wore a navy blue cloak and he looked very knowledgable. Those eyes looked determined and yet troubled. Who was this guy, and how was Alexander's destiny related to this guy?
Slowly a colour of blonde appeared beside this man. Like a swirling dics, much like the milky way galaxy, the blonde colour kept moving and changing shape until it was clear. Alexander saw that shaman girl from before! What was she doing here in his mind??
Soon blackish- purple like marks appeared on the girl's face. Her hair turned purple...Alexander had seen this side of her before. At the town where he ate human flesh... those bandits. Alexander could not understand this... was his destiny involved in something to do with this girl? He could not help but shake his head in confusion... why was he seeing absurdly weird stuff?
------
The old priest saw Alexander almost on his knees now. He wanted to get this... sinful scum off of his church. Nothing was stopping him from doing that...
Except fear.

Slowly Alexander's vision faded and all he could see was haze. Nothing but the void. Emptiness. Such cold, dreaded fear he could feel, but what? Alexander was almost in a hypnotic state, it was as though the dreamworld was real now.
Soon the haze cleared and many shades of blue swirled and swirled. This made Alexander dizzy, and unknowingly, he was on the verge of puking in the real world.
-----
The old priest's eyes widened as he saw Alex making gagging sounds. This man had never seen this before- what kind of demon was this visitor? Perhaps he needed to vanquish this demon. Perhaps he had to get his lightning tome ready... he resisted this urge. What if the visitor was not truly evil at heart? What then? He would be commiting a sin just killing this green robed man. He had to wait and judge this man's behaviour.
---
The image of a blue dragon formed. Striking colours, those were, and it gave Alexander a different kind of feeling. He seemed to be at ease, like he had not ever been in turmoil in the first place. The sight of this dragon was magnificent- it looked so magestic, so powerful. What did this mean?
Then a pale-brown coloured dragon swooped down on to this dragon, now the main focus in the vision. It had fierce looking eyes. Alexander thought they were fighting... until he realized they were not fighting at all. He saw humans with weapons in their hands running for their lives... or was it? Someone casted a spell which burned the surrounding area. Alexander was shocked by this- could there be manaketes in Elibe too?

Finally the vision turned black once more. Until he visioned something shimmering in that darkness. It was like a zoom in the shining object gradually grew bigger, and bigger, and bigger...
Then all of a sudden the shining object grew in size really fast until it almost looked like Alex was about to get pushed to the ground by it. Then it was soon followed by the image of a black dragon with green wings, a huge thunderstorm destroying civilization, then destruction of villages by rampaging dragons, people set on fire. All this showed up realy fast, like how one sees flashbacks happening all too fast. Except this wasn't a flashback. It was a vision about the future.
The sudden fast pace of changing of visions stopped finally at weird sort of ice cave. It was like someone exploring this cave cautiously, finding himself troubled moving around icicles, let alone the slippery icy path itself. It slowly moved to the inner cave until it focused on a particular ice boulder. This place was mystical and had an ancient feeling to it. The walls near the particular ice boulder in focus had weird ancient carvings on it. Ancient symbols of unknown meaning. Was this a hint to something? Alex would never know.
The ice boulder contained a persisting fire inside it. Like it never died down. The flame could sustain itself even when enclosed in this ice? Was that some cursed object? Cursed fire? Alexander wanted to know more about this but his vision started to fade and swirl- A swirl of all colours making him feel dzzy. It made him feel crazy and he opened his eyes in shock, face on the floor by now. He was breathing heavily, and sweating profusely.
What had happened?

The rest that happened that fateful day was something you woud not imagine. The priests had decided to try and get rid of Alexander with their spells. Alexander, quick to anger, was soon in dragon form, ripping the priests to shreds, thwacking and destroying the building in no time. The rage in him was uncontrollable. Soon, he left the shrine in ruins, feeling somewhat back in touch with his old self. Stll... he could not shake those visions off of his mind. What exactly did they mean? Was there a purpose to his existence in the human world?
