"Ah, the end of this damn forest," thought the archer, pushing a branch out of his face. "Maybe we'll get to civilization already." Then, stepping over a long branch, Wein Lowell, noble son of former Ostia, made his way out of the forested growth behind him, though what met his eyes was, admittedly, unexpected.
They hadn't so much reached the end of the forest, as they had a clearing. A giant clearing. It was dotted with trees and somewhat resembled a garden and a farmland rolled into one, stretching along the hills. A tallish house sat atop one of the hills, and with all of its chimneys, it resembled something akin to the house of a witch out of a fantasy novel. A witch with an incredibly green thumb.
That was ridiculous. Witches didn't exist. It wasn't like there were shrewd, ugly women lurking in the secluded places of the world turning men into sheep. It didn't make logical sense. How could anything, even magic, rearrange the body of a person so without killing them? No, men couldn't be turned into sheep, though the fact, for a couple of reasons, struck the Ostian as ironic seeing as how there were men who could turn into dragons. Go figure.
Well they were lost, that much Wein could deduce from nothing other than the fact that he had no idea where they were. Craning his head, he looked behind him, hoping to see Mana following in suit. "It seems I've gotten us a bit turned around," said the archer, a hint of apology in his voice. "I hope you don't mind a bit of a detour."

"Why I feel like...we are lost. Oh, don't tell me....." No matter how far she walked, there was only branches and bushes. It was getting pretty annoying. She didn't hate walking in the wilds but getting lost was something she wouldn't like. "I wonder...When will we get out from this forest?" she thought.
After the group left that village to escape from Nuwa's grandfather, if he was really exist, they had been heading toward Etruria. Mana was simply following Wein because she didn't really care about they were going to go. And she had thought about it, having companion felt much better than travelling alone. Before he met Yaen and Wein, she had wandered alone for a few weeks. That was a really nice experience for her but it was also boring. Now, when she felt she had found nice companions, she wouldn't mind to tag along with them for a while, as long as there was an exciting adventure waiting out there.
When Wein stopped, Mana tried to look what lay before them, did they finally reach the end of the forest? "Where are we?" She saw only a house with vast garden there, she would call this place as beautiful, but then she noticed some strange plants which she had never seen before.
"Is it the other way to say 'We are lost'?" she said, sighing and crossing her arms. Well, she wouldn't blame Wein anyway, she had to admit that the forest was thick enough for anyone to lose direction. Also, they didn't have map after all.
"It's okay, I guess..." She glanced at the house again, "Is it a farm? No, I think it isn't..." She muttered to herself as she continued to look at the house. "Hey, why don't we take a rest for now?" she suggested.

Zelphiam followed slowly behind the rest he still had his doubts about following these people but he didn't really have anything else to do. He had also agreed to carry the large sword Mana had asked him to. The sword was large and heavy indeed, heavier than Zelphiam thought but he adjusted to the weight of it. He really didn't know where they were going but followed hoping traveling and maybe training with Mana would enhance his skills.
"Where in the world are we?" Zelphiam thought as he walked past a tree. He wasn't familiar with this area but that's not saying a lot as Zelphiam wasn't familiar with most of the world outside of Bern and Ilia and he barely knew Ilia. He too stopped as Wein stopped he figured that the man leading them was lost as Zelphiam himself felt lost.
"I don't mind taking a break," Zelphiam said agreeing with Mana's suggestion.

OoC: Minor timeskip from my last post. Wein and company are likely unaffected.
BiC:
Aaron was out of the wash. He looked and felt cleaner.... Perhaps more importantly, he smelled better. On stepping into the hall, he'd found a new set of clothes laid out and waiting for him. They were nearly indestinguishable from what he'd been wearing on entering The Saint Estate... hmm... amusing rhyme... but this shirt, pants, and cloak set didn't have the travel stains of his old gear, and lacked the worn places too. Now, he was sitting in the new clothes provided, in a chair after deciding he did, infact, need a haircut.
The snip snip of the cutting tools filled the air, as he waited around. Haircuts were boring, but did provide plenty of chances for profound thoughts. Like:
"Did you ever notice how weird green hair is?" His voice filled the silent room, and he immediately felt at odds about his statement. On the one hand, it was perfectly valid. Green hair was weird. It looked all wrong on a person's face until it got heavy enough to be a beard. Some people called green-haired people "moss heads." It looked odd on the floor too.... On the other hand. Green hair being weird was a completely random and strange thing to bring up. He'd rather avoid topics that would disturb others, if he could.

Saffra took her sweet time getting finished with the bath. She always did, there was never a need to rush until the water had grown cold. She wore traditional robes once she was out of the bath, not necessarily travel clothes, but more an attire set for having left the bath. She needed to wash her clothes later, they were, sadly, a bit dirty.
Walking into the room where Aaron was, she gave a smirk, and crossed her arms, moving to grab a pair of scissors nearby, and slipping them into her hand, practice cutting a few times as she walked silently behind him on bare feet, having heard his statement.
"Not at all strange. Many people have different colour hair, some are hard on the eyes, for it's too bright. green is a good contrast, but some of the clothes you wear, I'm not sure if they go well with your hair colour, sweety."
With a laugh, she put her hands on the sage's shoulder's and looked down, then lifted the scissors again.
"Shall I begin? And how short do you want it?"

Wein sat on a fallen tree, staring off into the woods with the strange garden place at his back, tossing pebbles into the brush. Just where were they? Biting his lip, the Ostian puzzled. He was sure they were in Etruria at least. After all, the four of them had gone over the mountains north of Tuscana and after crossing a bit of plain, had made their way into this forest. Admittedly, that's when his sense of direction had failed him, but he had led them on in hopes that, eventually, they'd reach the edge of the forest. After all, it was a lot easier to find civilization when one's view wasn't completely obscured by trees.
But Wein had no idea where among the trees this sizable little garden grove lay. They could be near the edge, or they could have been walking in circles for the past day, and one thing was for certain: he wouldn't find any news of his parents or his brother in this sea of plants. That being said, their next best course of action was to check out the chimney house.
Standing up from his wooden seat, Wein cleared his throat and turned to Mana and Zelphiam. "Well then, a rest is a rest," he said, rubbing his hands together. "What do you two think about checking out that odd looking house over yonder?"

Zelphiam looked at the archer quite confused. What house? Zelphiam moved a bit forward from his resting spot and saw the house that wans't far from where they were at.
He didn't mind going but what would be the point. Would there be some kind of treasure? Ah an adventure is an adventure and Zelphiam was quite curious as to what was in that odd looking house.
"I don't mind going if everyone else is ok with it," Zelphiam said as he returned to his resting spot which was him leaning up against a tree.

Aaron's face turned puzzled. He didn't agree with Saffra's comment on clothing and hair colors at all. Or maybe she meant his cloak. The blue did seem a bit showy, but he was fond of it. He laughed to himself a bit. It was a clear sound, filling the room until it seemed like the walls were leaning in, trying to divine the source of the man's sense of confidence and his smile.
"And what would you suggest then, Saffra? Not deep maroon, I trust." The sage commented on Saffra's usual color of choice. "A nice color, but probably not for a man with my head of hair."
"Let's not get carried away. Just medium length. Losing the tail, and trimming to a little above the shoulders should be fine."
Sweety, she'd called him. Being called sweety by a dragon... Aaron really wasn't sure what sort of reaction to give....
"Being called Sweety by a woman who looks no older than myself...." Aaron smiled, though now it was at the novelty of the situation.
"Showing your age, Saffra?"

"That's not a bad idea," she replied. Honestly, the swordgirl was curious about the house and its garden. That house looked different from the other houses she had seen in her travel, it was unique. And the garden, she couldn't hide that she was very interested to go there. "It's decided. I am going!" Without waiting any longer, Mana headed toward the garden. She didn't even wait for them. It didn't take long for her to reach the garden. She looked excited, there was no place like this in Sacae, the nomads never had a vast garden like this because they always moved from one place to another. They wouldn't waste time to make a garden just to leave it after two or three months.
The workers noticed Mana walking in their master's garden. They noticed her because of her Sacaen look, which was rare to be seen around Etruria. The girl seemed enjoyed her time wandering in the garden. "Hey. Don't touch that. It can make your skin itchy!" A young worker shouted to Mana when she was going to touch a poisonous flower. Mana stopped her finger right before it touched the petals. "Oh, sorry. Thank you for telling me this," she said.

Just before she began, Saffra gave a light punch, but one that he would feel, right to the back as he teased her about being old. In her culture, she was still young as far as dragons could live to. With a playful frown, she took his hair into her hands, and fanned it out, removing that pony tail, and making it just long hair. Saffra didn't really have a thing for long hair on men, it seemed unnatural. The only reasons she ever saw it mostly, was for cold weather climates, it kept the neck warm.
"Watch yourself, boy. My hand might slip and you might accidently lose an ear."
It was playful, but a warning all the same, she took pride in her age, no many were as old as she was anymore. There were some, but so few. She began however, and initially started just by snipping of the tail, and going from there. He wanted medium length, so she would give him one. She was no perfect stylist, but she could do this much.
"So, do you think you'll get the answers you're looking for today?"

Aaron took the punch to his back, shifting a bit uncomfortably as it had caught him right on the spine. Never the less, he smiled to himself at her reaction. Besides... she wouldn't really snip his ear off, would she? He was about to come back with a "It's ok. I like old relics." when her next question caught him. Probably for the best.
"The answers I'm looking for.... Yes. Because no answer is an answer too. Means we ought to strike out on our own. I could probably formulate a guess if I had too, actualy news would be-"
The green haired mage was interupted as Varia bustled past the room, seeming very busy, and breathless. It was similar to when she'd greeted them at the front door. Turning on a dime, and poking her yellow-blond mane of hair into the room, she spoke up.
"The wards triggered again! More visitors!"Aaron couldn't see very well from his position, but even if he could have, he wouldn't have been sure if she was excited or harried. Spinning again, she pushed a stray strand of her hair out of her face, and continued on down to wait in another room for the door bell.
"...Well, well.... Wards. Even I don't know how to set those up." She was proving more and more intruiging all the time, their host was.

Wein trudged through a narrow path with ancient looking ferns on his right and left, observing the unusual scenery around him. Most of the plants the scholar had never seen before, either in person or in a book. If he was more of a green-thumb, this would literally be the Ostian's heaven. This super-garden was filled with such a menagerie of flowering and fruit-bearing plants even the likes of Ostia's greatest botanists wouldn't have been able to identify everything. It was that spectacular.
Now Wein wasn't a wizard by any sense of the word, but there even seemed to be a sort of magic in the air, which led the scholar to wager that some of these plants might not be naturally occurring. Well, magic could lead to science too, could it not?
Making his way to the front door of the many chimney'd house, the archer gave the front door a quick rap or two before taking a step back and, hands put squarely in his pockets, waiting for someone to come answer.

Zelphiam had slowly followed behind Mana into the garden. He was intrigued by all the different fragrances in the air. The flowers were also quite pretty too he hadn't seen these many different flowers since he last saw his mother's gardens. The smell made Zelphiam feel that he was at peace that all his worries were washed away. He too was about to touch a flower but stopped when a young worker had told Mana not to.
He than began to wondered who owned this house and the garden. Probably someone with money or power to have their own personal workers working on their garden. Zelphiam wanted to go in the house and meet the people who lived here.
"Hey Mana who do you suppose lives here?" He asked as he walked a bit toward her.

Mana turned and saw Zelphiam walking toward her, he was still carrying her sword, an iron blade that once belonged to a great warrior. She was planning to train with it. Although the sword might be too heavy for her, trying something new wasn't bad, was it? Even if she wasn't able to use it, selling the sword would give her much money. The money would be used to buy a new sword, she needed a new one.
The blonde man asked her, he wondered about the owner of this place. Well, Mana was a bit curious too, this place was beautiful, and had many strange plants, who lived here? "Who knows?" The swordgirl shrugged as she said. "One thing. I am sure he loves nature. Look at this place." Mana waved her left hand to the green scenery around them, beautiful flowers, ripe fruits, even some strange plants. "Maybe, I don't mind get lost like this," she said, chuckling. Talking about get lost, it always happened to her.
"Hey..." Mana called him as she look at the big sword. "Sorry for making you carry it. And thank you." The girl smiled. Although she felt guilty, she didn't show intention to carry it by herself. "I will repay you later. You can ask anything from me."
"Don't ask for money. I am broke."

Saffra continued to cut the man's hair. She worked a bit faster, taking the shears she had that were small, and deftly cut at his hair, trying to be a bit perfectionistic. If you couldn't take pride in the work, it wasn't worth doing, right?
(To Save time, and because I as a player know little of cutting hair, will speed this up a bit to move it along.)
Finishing up, it took her a few minutes, and it was the best she could do. She used a cloth and batted at his hair, trying to shake free any cut stand that was lingering in the sage's scalp. She walked around him, taking small snips to see if she could fix it any more than it already was, but with a nod, she took off the cover around his body, and let him up.
"Be thankful this old woman didn't forget how to atleast cut your head...I could have left you in patches."
She sniffed, but her tone was playful. She had heard the apothecary mention something about guests earlier, but perhaps it was time to actually see to them now. She fixed the cloak around her wings, not knowing why she was even hiding them when she could make them disappear at will. It was her promise probably, that kept them hidden.
"Lets see what all the commotion is about."
