Hoff looked up at the newcomer grinning at his humour "A good custom - we were also wondering whether she will wake soon or, seems more likely, weeks from now.". There was plenty of room at the table and he figured the stranger could seat himself if he wished. He was rather put on edge by his wear but tried to stifle it. It was unlikely a lone soldier in a tavern was looking for trouble, and he already made it apparent he was not from here. Hoff pushed the paranoia from his head and instead opened his arms towards the table "You are welcome to sit with us I think, we are all strangers here"
The shaman revealed a rather impressive build and Hoff had enough control over his own intoxication to stifle his jokes, but still was smiling when he turned to him "I did not realise shaman training was so intense - had imagined more studying and less lifting"
Leaning back in his chair again he frowned trying to think on his next move - some company was nice although no one seemed particularly in a hurry to do something. The traveller looked focused on his meal, but Kasteen had a purpose in mind. Training would be one thing for a shaman, but for Hoff, there wasnt much to be learned for a simple swordhand like himself. It was unlikely there was money in killing bandits, unless the group was particularly successful at what they did, or had bothered some wealthy merchants. He knew a little about such things. It would be a fine balance, to make enough profit, and at the same time not draw too much attention to themselves. It was assumed that bandits were not smart - of course those did not manage their business for long.
It did not seem likely this knight was here on such an errand, by himself. The trouble could be far enough from town that the city militia might fear going on a hunt. If the roads are unsafe, there could even be coin from merchants affected by such attacks. And again, if they were actually good at their work, more than likely they would have some loot stored up. Hoff looked up at the ceiling thinking slowly - he wouldnt say anything to his companions about it however. The alcohol was getting to him and he let his mind wonder, still the hunger for some adventure was nagging he wasnt quite able to shake it.

As he sat there Hoff tried to imagine the various ways a couple of highwaymen could be taken by surprise out here. Sacae was large, but these men wouldnt have their hideout very far from where they actually attacked. He couldn't see them hiding in the plains, so the most likely option was they were nearer to the mountains. Alone he could always sneak nearby and investigate, and that was certainly an option. Still, his preferred method was some sort of a trap - he couldnt see all of them attacking at once so it would be likely they wouldnt be at their full numbers anyway. The inkeeper passed their table and Hoff waved at him to come nearer
"Hey, what of those bandits? Do you know anything" The man laughed sarcastically and grimaced at Hoff showing his ugly teeth "Does it look like i travel a lot? Ask Henry over there, he was on a caravan they robbed recently" Then he waved towards the nearby table "EY, Henry! This guy wants to know about them people that were attacked"
To Hoff's surprise, Henry, was the round little man from earlier - he jumped from his seat carrying his flagon with him and ran to their table, sitting down next to Erio, eying her quickly "So you really are here for em' bandits? I knew it! You look like..." He looked around them unsure of what to say next "Like warriors!" He smiled a toothless brown grin and took a deep drink from his flagon.
"I just want to know some details - where was this? How many of them were there, things like that"
"Well, Im your man! We was just coming back from Lycia. I was in Pharea visiting my 'cousin and hitched a ride back with the merchant caravan, you see. They was headed straight here, were coming back sooner in the season since they dont go to Ostia any-more, you see. He took another long swig and settled himself more comfortably in his chair
"They appeared from nowhere! No sooner than the guards moved that one had an arrow sticking-" He jabbed himself in the forehead "right in 'eh head! THe others dropped their weapons pretty fast after that, hehe. Though its no laughing matter! I damn near cr-"
"Stick to the story" Hoff cut him off
"Right right! Anyways, it was very fast you see. Said they was there for the money, not gonna hurt anybody else. The took the wagon, horses and all, and went back the way we'd come. Probably only 5 of them on the road, took just a few minutes and they was gone." The man looked around the table wide eyed "I didnt think we'd make it, never been-"
"Thanks." The man nodded and got up looking rather uncomfortable. He looked around at the others then took another swig while standing there awkwardly. Hoff ignored him instead thinking on what the man had said. It would be trivial to draw them out with a wagon - setting some sort of a trap. Other option was to try and catch someone that knows about the hideout, still that wouldnt be nearly as efficient. As much as he admired the way their plan was executed, he disliked the notion of highwaymen - it was such a brutish way to separate people from their possessions. However it was obvious that they were fast and well organized. There just better be some reward for this.

Suddenly amid the commotion of the bar Erio stood back up his eyes unfocused as she glanced about the room slowly. From face to face her gaze traveled simply looking at each one before rounding on Cen placing her palms on his cheeks and staring deeply into his eyes. A drunken giggle broke from her lips as she stared at him "A baby face...." she said softly leaning closer and closer her lips puckered and parted cheeks a deep crimson so close only a hairsbreadth away and then....
She pulled away spinning on one foot to sit on the table her legs kicking like that of a child's before falling back over off the side of the table and curling up pulling her newly found cloak about her as he crawled under the table to sleep.

Cen was shocked at what the woman had just done. Shocked in a good and bad way. In one way, it seemed like the young drunk lady was giving him special attention. In the other way, it seemed like the young DRUNK lady was giving him special attention. There seemed to be a general feeling with this group that they would come together and fight bandits. That's at least what Cen felt. That was fine with him. He didn't like being alone, and he wanted to earn his spot mentally and physically of true glory. So he took that blow as it came.
The fact that the woman seemed comfortable sleeping under a table in a place surrounded by men drinking alcohal was a bit unsettling for Cen. He reached under the table and lightly tapped the girls back. "Excuse me ma'am, I'hh was thinkin' it wasn't best for you ta- to be sleepin' down here."
Ooc: I'hh is how you spell a Southern accented I.

She stared up at him eyes still unfocused as she reached out and grabbed his ear staring intently at it. "Peach" she said sleepily before staring at the finger that had poked her flicking it as she curled back up for the moment before suddenly sitting up again. Leaning over Erio gagged eyes squeezed shut bile pouring from her mouth onto Hoff's boots. "I...feel....sick..." she grumbled rubbing at her aching temple.

Hoff wasnt fast enough to avoid Erio's puke - he felt the warmth ooze into boots trough the shoelace openings on the top. Barely controlling his own gag reflex he stepped back, unsuccessfully trying to kick some of it onto the floor. Lightweights He cursed, but tried to contain his rage. The inn was positively exploding in laughter by now which did little to help
"That.. That was disgusting." Not sure if the woman was even aware enough of her surroundings to hear him he angrily continued "And be careful with my cloak...." while pointing down at the puddle of puke, alcohol, and stomach fluid.
He turned to the stranger from earlier and spoke "I don't know if you heard all that, but we are thinking to deal with some highwaymen near here. I dont recognize your armor, but can tell you are of a decent sort. I..." he fought another gag from the smell coming form his shoes "I need to clean this up." With that he turned around and found his way to the back of the inn where there was a sign for the bathroom, trusting that the soldier was more than capable enough to deal with the drunk girl. It wasnt much, just a hole in the floor and a bucket full of water next to it - Hoff closed the door and angry turned the bucket over his shoes trying to wash as much of the gross off as possible.

Kressen had decided to remain silent, and to listen to all that transpired around him. He decided that Cen was a good decent person, at least for the moment. So he started to relax after a few moments. Just as soon as Kressen was growing slightly bored a traveler appeared to tell his tale. As Kressen listened a vein would begin to pulse in his neck.
The bandits apparently gave no warning, and instead chose to kill a man, then had the gaul to say they didn't want to hurt anyone. I can’t wait to rend them apart with my magic. He suppressed a laugh, his skills were not yet fully developed, and he had never killed anyone with magic before. Just as he was about to ask for more details the drunken girl named Erio sat up and started to “assault” the poor lad named Cen. He watched in amusement, though you couldn’t tell because his face was passive the whole time, as she went underneath the table drunk as a skunk, flailing around like a child.
Well, she is amusing I’ll give her that. He stood up just as he heard her wretch under the table. He sighed and went under the table to grab the drunken girl, before she became covered in her own filth. The smell didn’t bother him since he grew up around drunken sailors and the stench of the sea. “I beg your pardon miss.” Big hands would grab Erio around her shoulders holding the cloak in place to conceal her modesty. As he gently tried to get the girl out from under the table, he would continue his conversation with Cen and Sextimus. “I take it we’re going to go after this group of bandits together so perhaps we should come up with a plan of action.”

Erio leaned back and coughed some of her wits slowly slipping back to her. Her eyes focused on the pile of bile in front of her and the hastily retreating pair of boots soaked in it and trailing footprints of it behind him the innkeeper livid as he quickly moved to start to mop it up cursing under his breath and sending a glare to the back of the retreating man.
Trying to gauge exactly where she was and exactly what had transpired since her memory had faded out she glanced about noting her lack of shirt without much surprise. Of course this was not the first time such a thing had transpired, there was that bar back in a small village and that one before that in Bern... Though it did not worry her so much, she had a few things in her pack to deal with hangovers. This one was particularly biting though.
It was not the opportune moment for such a headache but she would persevere, of course this was not nearly the worse one she had had. Hangover or none she did have to take care of those pesky bandits. She had not actually figured out how she would, but Erio assumed she would figure it out on the way.
Suddenly she was pulled back with a polite apology by the...what was he a shaman? Ah well the beetle from before. "Hmm?" Erio glanced up her amber eyes now clearer than before as she stood up knees shaky and took a bow to loud claps and cheers from the bar about her. Smirking she slipped back into her seat glancing about for where the roguish man from before had gone, could he be the one she...
A slight chuckle burst from her lips as she imagined it waiting his return so she could see his expression.
Though....by the gods how her temple throbbed....

With most of the puke washed from his shoes Hoff walked back out of the bathroom and headed back to the table. He was glad to see his companions were still around and Erio was up in a seat. Carefully avoiding the messy floor he sat back down next to her and the shaman, picking up his mostly empty glass of wine.
"Im impressed.. you are no longer rolling around in your own bile. My cloak doesn't look like it took a lot of damage either. My shoes on the other hand..." He scowled as much as he could at his current level of intoxication.
Turning he finished his drink placing it on the table and tried to assume a more business-like attitude. "Right. Bandits. Any ideas? I would draw them out, but they probably wouldn't be interested unless they thought we were merchants. I don't have a wagon or anything like that." Hoff didn't consider himself much of a strategist and cursed himself for it as he rattled his brain for ideas. "Or we could just head that way and try to seek them out"
"More wine!" he yelled for the barkeep. Yep. That was sure to help.
edit: ( I vote we wrap things up here, another round of posts from you guys and gonna move it to next morning thread)

Erio smirked watching the returning rouge's face, he did not look very pleased in the slightest did he? Not that it made any difference besides for providing some entertainment.
"Im impressed.. you are no longer rolling around in your own bile. My cloak doesn't look like it took a lot of damage either. My shoes on the other hand..."
"Your shoes make no matter" she replied twirling a strand of her charcoal locks around a finger glancing out the window every once in a while. "Though the cloak is nice, I think I'll keep it for now."
Pressing her palms too the table she pushed herself to her feet "and now I must go sleep." With a lazy wave she walked off
