It was still early when Hoff woke up - the sun was just starting to shine trough the window of his room, which was enough to wake the rogue up. He rolled to the edge of the bed slowly laying on his stomach tried to focus on the inn floor. The headache made it hard to recall last night, so he continued laying there trying to space out for a while longer.
He knew the sickening feeling wasn't going to go away and tried to sit up on the bed, all the while keeping the room from spinning too much. After spending a good amount of time staring at the floor for his clothes, and was fairly confident that he had located everything, he got up and slowly started to get dressed.
Finally getting his appearance in order he walked out of his room into the still quiet inn. He smiled to himself as he reached Erio's door, then after pausing for only a secon, he started slamming his fist against it repeatedly. BANG BANG BANG... BANG BANG.. BANG BANG BANG. It gave him joy imagining her rage at being woken so early, by loud repetitive knocking on top of that.
As he waited for an answer he recalled last night's conversation about the bandits in the area. He wasnt sure how that went, nevertheless he could slip away easily enough as soon as he retrieved his cloak. He was not feeling like doing much right now especially not hunt down a bunch of criminals - with a highly unlikely chance for making an actual profit from it.

Erio let out a groan her head pounding a steady tempo as she rolled over pulling her pillow up over her head. Her whole night was a large blur, simple noises and flashes of color was all she had remembered besides for a few minutes before she fell asleep. Letting out another groan she sat up glancing blearily about her room before sitting up massaging her temple and steadying herself as she moved to glance in the mirror. Her hair was a mess but besides for puffy sleep filled amber eyes.
After a few moments she realized that the pounding in her head was not simply in her head and someone pounding on her door. Pulling on her clothes she walked over to the door giving one final glance to the mirror to make sure she looked impeccable before pulling it open. She stood staring up at the Rouge from the night before before leaning against the door frame continuing to stare at him.
"What is it?" she asked blatantly having his cloak wrapped around her shoulders without a care in the world. He looked rather sick, had he drunk as well? It was not much of her problem anyways but no matter, "Don't puke" she commented making a point to stare down at his shoes

"Room service" Hoff grinned and shifted his weight eying his cloak. "Thought you wanted a wake up call?"
He scowled at the her puking comment "I wouldn't talk. You were the one having problems handling the alcohol last night, not me." Did he look that sickly? He had been gaining more weight lately, but he always looked rather pale. Still, Hoff rarely let himself dwell on his appearance and thus was annoyed at getting worried about it.
"Anyways, I hope you have a plan for those bandits that you promised to take care of..." then he added "Im here for my cloak, that you are wearing." He looked at her expectantly. He was planning a nice breakfast downstairs before heading out, but wanted to get this figured out beforehand.

"Hmm? I have been traveling for a while, it feels nice to let loose" she replied with a chuckle glancing him up and down hand resting firmly on her hip. "Anyways that has little to do with you walking me up, though I suppose I should thank you there were matters that I needed to take care of."
"Anyways, I hope you have a plan for those bandits that you promised to take care of..."
At that she let out a light laugh the corners of her lips curling up in a smirk at the next statement "Im here for my cloak, that you are wearing." Lazily lifting up a corner of it the newly gotten cloak she provocatively rubbed it against her cheek "I dare say we have become rather attached, I would hate to part now." Sighing softly she let her hand fall down to her side thinking for a moment before grabbing his hand and pulling him into the room taking a seat on the bed.
"There is no real plan to be truthful, I was planning to go, scout, and play some tricks to get rid of them, pretty simple"

Hoff was aware at how the woman just reached out and pulled him into the room - despite his fairly good reflexes he didnt have time to pull away. Sighing he pushed the door closed leaning back against it folding his arms
"I see, so you do have a plan" Hoff replied surprised "Sounds ok to me.. good luck with all that" he added smiling back at her.
"Still, I could be pretty useful, you know.. Im pretty good at scouting and 'tricks' " Then after a brief pause he continued, still smiling "Not for free of course."
Erio looked well off, and he wasn't just going to offer to come along. Still he was surprised how quickly he decided that actually going forward wasn't going to be that bad. Probably the hangover was fading a bit and the prospect of just leaving and looking for something else seemed much less interesting all of the sudden.

Erio merely chuckled good naturedly at his words one hand running back through her hair and pulling it out of her eyes. Though she smiled her eyes silently observed his every move deciding if he was one to trust of not. He seemed rather calm and confident, though that could be interpreted into so many things she did not even try to dig into that any further.
The man had a hangover, well she had one as well but it could point to him not planning anything besides his words, rather not too far from his words.
"Well you if you wish to come along then you can take whatever you will from the hoard of stolen goods, I have little use for it." She stared up at him batting her lashes provocatively, it would be better to have a companion she supposed, at least for now until she found something else to pursue. "I am leaving now if you are coming after picking up a few things for the little tricks to preform."

Hoff was happy with the arrangement, he wasnt in a position to demand payment ahead of time anyway, though he would much rather do that. He had been on plenty enough jobs to learn to take precaution. Either way he had made his point - he wouldnt just be coming along for the trip, not when there was business involved.
He moved away from the door and waved back towards it "Well - sounds good to me - its still early, we can probably cover a lot of ground by noon" He also wanted to grab some food though that could wait.
Now that he was in moving mode, it was hard to focus on things that would slow them down. "Maybe some breakfast, but I can skip that. Don't really want to hang around here for too long"

Erio smirked picking up her meager belongings and walking to the door pulling it open as she smiled good naturedly at him. It would be easier with a companion, she could always toss him to the bandits if things went bad.
"Eat while you walk, obviously" she replied "If we get there before dark it will be easier to scout out their base and plan while we wait for darkness to fall." She lazily scratched her head letting out a yawn "we could always catch a ride on a cart half of the way, a few farmers travel out in that direction to the markets today"

Hoff scowled following her out of the door - he hated being given orders and replied with heavy sarcasm in his voice "Yeah yeah, you can tell me what to do when im in YOUR debt" then pulled on his cloak lightly as he followed her down into the Inn. The landlord grimaced upon seeing them walk back into the bar and muttered something under his breath. Hoff grinned and walked up ordering a burrito - he had already paid for his room last night when the man had insisted on it, not trusting the shifty looking thief. He waited for his food and spoke to Erio "So mind filling me in? We are probably going to be outnumbered" He smiled a little as he looked up absent minded "But they dont know that. I am going to at least need some torches, maybe some other stuff as well" He looked back down at her "Depends on what you were thinking, my point is it will be probably be hard enough" He felt antsy without having a plan together, talking about it helped him calm down a bit, and it was nice to actually have someone around for a while.
He went back for his burrito picking it up and stuffing a large part of it into his mouth absent mindedly "But yaa.. hitching a ride sounds good, dont want to walk really far" he said while trying to chew down the huge bites of food.

Kressen, had hardly any sleep last night, so he was looking a bit rough. Still with his hood up, one couldn't see the bags under his eyes. I wonder how long until the nightmares stop. Hmph their probably my just punishment. He had given up on sleep and went down to the common room at the crack of to study his magic, before anyone woke up. Reading in the early morning light of the inn was a bit off a chore, so he gave up, and just reflected on the tips his master had given him.
From the noise he heard from the neighboring rooms he expected, that at least on of his supposed allies for the bandit hunting venture was awake. He would wait for them to enter the common room, before talking to any of them. He was sitting in the same corner he had been the previous day. So since it was dark in that particular corner, the duo probably didn't see him until he was right by Hoff's left shoulder. It would be unnerving to most people; to have a man over six feet tall seemingly appear out of nowhere right behind them.
His deep voice would emanate from under the hood. “So I take it we're the only three who really wanted the job in the first place. Do the two of you have a plan of action yet?"

"Brigands, brutes, and bandits beware! Blissful benevolence has blessed the benefactors of this business. Have no fear, Elias, the CRIMSON MAGE is here!" He let out a hearty laughter, that filled the air as he entered the tavern inn thing. They could never make up their mind as to what they are. Do you want to drink, eat, spend the night, beat up people, or just enjoy the scene of a bunch of drunk louts screaming in gibberish, this place HAD IT ALL. It was like a super utility establishment, far superior then other establishments that do one thing and one thing only. Geez, how lame do you have to be to just sell fruit or something? Incredibly, that's how lame. Elias could never be a store clerk, it was just too lame. If he had a business it'd be an arena/zoo/tavern/stables/haberdashery. You could choose the animal you want to fight, and then TURN THEM INTO A WALLET, dear Elmine he was a genius.
He looked around the room with a dopey smile, his eyes bright. His travels through Sacae were lame and boring and pretty sure never went to any of the cool kid parties and never even hugged a girl, what a loser. That's when he heard about BRIGANDS and BANDITS which as expected made him giddy. He walked into the saloon/tavern/inn/restaurant/playhouse and took a good look around. Nothing particularly interesting, it was like everyone doesn't wake up at the crack of dawn, psh how silly. His bright red hair looked positively crazy this morning, and it always looked crazy, so that means it was pretty mentally imbalanced indeed. He saw some people huddled together doing things people do when they're huddled together like playing card games, trade beauty tips, and quietly discussing things. One guy was eating a burrito, the fiend. Surely he must know that omelets are the superior breakfast food.
He was oddly happy, sure his home just exploded, his parents may be dead, he was separated from anyone he could of conceivably call friend, and made a pact with a devilbeast that will surely devour his should when given the chance, but hey at least he was out of Etruria! That was... almost making up for it. Kinda. Well no point in being sad, that wasn't the way Elias operated. Most of the time. Well sometimes. Ok he gets sad a lot. IT DIDN'T MATTER. He had Bandits to murder.

Erio tapped her cheek rhythmically in thought stealthily moving to grab part of Hoff's burrito and pop it between her lips chewing slowly. "Take their torches" she replied after swallowing a slight smirk gracing her lips "It will make them cautious, and more tense and likely to make mistakes. The Dark frightens people naturally and if not frightens merely irks them. Simply put we put out their torches, and take them if need be."
Sighing she turned to him watching as he ate so quickly "you look like a rabbit" she commented idly jumping at a deep voice behind them as she swiveled around staring at the hooded man her legs crossed. "A good morning is in order first" Erio scolded reaching up to flick his cheek under the hood "If your magic can put out flames and pull areas into shadow it would be helpful to th-"
Amber eyes flashed to the door where a flamboyant man dressed in red seemed to flounce in. He seemed far too naive to be not pretending. Did people actually exist like that? Narcissistic yes, there was no doubt about it, thought it was hard to believe he was as fickle as he seemed. Time would tell if she had the pleasure of observing his odd behavior, yet she doubted it. Though a sneaking suspicion told her that he was not as much as a mere common fink as he seemed to be, maybe he was simply placing on a mask like so many others did making enemies underestimate him.
Though...he was making such a racket, and her head already hurt so horribly. Sighing she picked up what was left of the burrito and tossed it at lazily at him wondering how one so self involved would act in response if it even hit him at all. She had a horrible hand at throwing, should have gotten someone else to do it

"A red wine to go with my eggs, please." Grayson asked as he sat at the bar in the tavern of yet another small town. Since his time saving the even smaller town with Iorran, he'd paraded around Sacae hoping to find any other opportunities to fight for justice. It was freeing, the feeling of turning his bow, originally aimed at the Ilian army -- though he never met a single regiment in battle -- to being aimed at brigands exploiting those powerless to defend themselves.
"What kind of wine?" Grayson's spirits lifted immensely. They had more than one kind? Not since his days at his family's manor had he found a town that actually had more than one kind of red wine! Of course, the man could have just been asking what red wine was. That would be disappointing. Grayson hoped the man meant what kind of red wine he wanted.
"Well. Would you happen to have port, perhaps?" the bartender nodded and walked to the wine racks. The archer was practically giddy with anticipation. The deep red liquid was poured from an old looking bottle and into an earthenware stein. Wine from a stein? Well that certainly wasn't the best way to enjoy it, but still he was having port! It had felt like years since he had a taste of it! The stein was placed in front of him along with his plate of eggs and Grayson greedily snatched up the flagon. He tipped it to his nose, taking in the sweet aroma with just a hint of alcohol. It wasn't as complex as he was used to, but he'd come to lower his expectations in the months since leaving his home.
Though, before Grayson could take a swig, a boisterous man barged into the tavern, claiming to be the bane of all bandits. The archer smiled in amusement. This was his kind of guy! He took a generous bite of his eggs and hopped off his stool. He washed down the eggs with a swig of the wine, which was surprisingly well textured, and presented himself to the man in red as a burrito was thrown his way.
"What alliteration, sir! You seem to be a man of great character! Grayson Pintel, fellow bane of bandits and ne'er-do-wells everywhere!"

Oh no! Burrito! What a foul and otherworldly projectile that only one with a heart made of stone could possibly employ without succumbing to years of everlasting dread and total dismay. It arced gracefully in the air as it dancingly descended upon his beautiful visage. Oh wait, it wasn't going to hit him the throw was a bit short...
NOW it arced gracefully in the air as it dancingly descended upon his beautiful visage! He held up his hand in protest, this foul beast of a weapon would not smear and tarnish his otherwise perfect face, the beans created from the sheer chaos and evil of the lord of darkness his self, the tortilla being cultivated by a plantation that only employed physically disabled orphans with diseases whose parents were murdered by bandits and wear important necklaces around their neck to symbolize the faith they had that one day they'll find their home! The music was blaring and reaching it's crescendo as the demonic food was nearing ever closer. His hand was ready to catch the monstrosity, a noble sacrifice so the rest of his body's purity may be spared.
"What alliteration, sir! You seem to be a man of great character! Grayson Pintel, fellow bane of bandits and ne'er-do-wells everywhere!"
"Welcome Grayson Pin-"
Splat.
"tel." The... the burrito was laying on his face wasn't it? It slowly slid off, leaving a runny trail of beans and whatever foul ingredients were used in the damnable thing. Even as a small rage boiled in his eyes, he never lost the pose. "It is unusual to see one such as yourself, who claims to be a Bane of Bandits. Tough job, long hours." He complimented on Elias' greatness so that must mean he was a great man himself. Great minds think alike, and Elias thought he was incredible and so did this man, so by extension he must ALSO be incredible!
He slowly moved, standing straight up and dropping his 'burrito catcher' position, ignoring the quickly cooling sludge on his face. Crossing his arms, he nodded his head. "I take it you have heard about the bandits plaguing this area then? I have come here to rectify this situation, remedy this plague and rescue the town in distress. Also, if I kill bandits here, all that leaves is Nabata to fill my resume."

Kadd Bane heaved a sigh of annoyance, as he leaned back in the chair he was sitting in. Just north of the village was the remnants of a fort, where he now sat. The outer wall was completely demolished, leaving only the occasional stone here or there around the perimeter. The only remaining piece of structure was the main building, and even then, the majority of the roof had fallen in, the doors were so old that they lay in splinters, and yet he sat in the midst of it, listening to the blabbering excuse of one of the 15 bandits who looked to him as a leader. "So ya see boss, its cuz' we been 'ere too long. The town over is tryna get rid of us, they hirin' mercenaries! We 'ave to leave!" Rubbing his temples with his left hand, he slowly drew the slim sword from the sheath on his lap. "Now what have I told you about telling me what we should do? I distinctly remember telling you that I do the thinking, didn't I? I'm pretty sure I did. In fact, I'm positive I did. I'm so sure I'm willing to bet your life on it." The bandit paled, swallowing nervously. "Eh, boss, y'know I dint mean nothin' by it..."
Ignoring him, Kadd continued talking. "Do you remember what happened to your boss? You remember how he thought he knew better then me, and that he could kill me? He thought wrong, didn't he?" The bandit didn't speak, just stared fearfully at him. Sighing again, he leaned back in his chair. "You'll never question me again, understand?" The bandit's face showed relief, as he nodded his head vigorously. "Right boss, It'll never 'appen again!" In a single stroke, Kadd removed his head from his shoulders with his blade. His head fell to the ground, bouncing once, before stopping, the bandit's last expression one of relief. The body stayed on it's feet for a moment or so, before it collapsed as well. "That's right. It won't ever happen again. It's also true, that I need a new lieutenant." Looking at the assembled bandits, he picked one out. "You. What's your name." The man stepped forward, bowing his head slightly. "They call me Pike." Snorting slightly, Kadd nodded. "Well Pike, you're my new next in command. Send out someone to scout the town, and send two outside to patrol the perimeter. I want another on the roof to give us cover. And I wanted it done five minutes ago."
The bandit stared at him for a moment, his mind working on what he'd just heard. "But...if you wanted it done five minutes ago...how could..." He fell silent when Kadd gave him a withering glare. "Right boss, I'll get on it," he said hurriedly, moving out of Kadd's sword range. Grunting in annoyance, Kadd stood from his chair, sheathing his blade. Stepping over the body of his former lieutenant, he signaled one of the bandits over. "Clean that up," he said with a grimace. As the bandit hurried to obey, he stepped away from them, moving outside. He saw the arrangement of bandits at his disposal, some of them eating or sleeping, a few others polishing their weapons. For some reason, they all fancied the ax over any other weapon. Not that he cared, but he still found it amusing. "14 left..." he muttered to himself, as his face stretched into a faint smile. "Let's see how quickly we can end this. If I'm lucky, I can end it in a single night..."
Meanwhile(At the Legion of Doom)
The unfortunate bandit that was sent into town was named Duph. After a brief argument with Pike, he was boxed soundly across the ears and sent on his way. He was given a cloak to hide his identity, but because of his large size, he still drew a fair bit of attention. Duph was easily one of the best fighters in the bandit party, with a whopping height of 6'4" and over 200lbs. of pure muscle, the cloak would do little to hide his actual presence. He strode into town, grumbling to himself. Though people gave him a wide berth because of his size, nobody seemed to uneasy around him. He had a small hand ax hidden at his belt beneath his cloak, which he fingered nervously as he walked. He found a nice spot near the center of town to sit. His reasoning was that one way or another, he would see the group that was being sent to attack them if he stayed in the center of town. As it happened, he was only a short ways away from an inn, though he was too busy examining people to notice.
