OoC: How am I supposed to reply to this? Jeez....
IC:
Morgoth had been taking in the sight of the underground library when he heard the door slam. Furniture began moving around. Perseus, the voice said angrily. The thought was confirmed with Perseus' voice yelling in the background.
Morgoth turned to see what was happening when the trapdoor shut. Something fell over it, blocking out any natural light. Grab the book on the table and lets go.
"What of the others," Morgoth questioned. "They look important." We don't need them. He grabbed the book on the table and put it in his cloth bag. Before the voice could protest he grabbed several off the shelves.
As Morgoth turned to leave, he stopped. Remember that I am your master, Morgoth, the voice said. I can end you if I wish. He grew uneasy. You don't need to learn when I know things. I can help you when you don't understand. Leave the other books.
"No," Morgoth whispered. The orb went out, leaving Morgoth in darkness. NO? HOW DARE YOU! I GAVE YOU LIFE, I GAVE YOU A SECOND CHANCE! DO NOT DISOBEY ME!
"No", Morgoth said. "I don't need you. I can do this myself." DO THIS YOURSELF? WHO GOT YOU OUT OF PRISON, WHEN YOU AWOKE, CONFUSED AND UNKNOWN?
"You," Morgoth replied, sullen. AND WHO TAUGHT YOU MAGIC? WHO SHOWED YOU WHAT YOU COULD DO? WHO GOT YOU HERE?
"You!" Morgoth said, cringing in fear. "But how can I do what you want when you deign to do be separate but are attached? What will people think of me, acting strange, talking to myself?"
The Voice was silent for a moment, as if to think. You wish to be alone? it asked. Morgoth nodded. You can't be alone, I will not allow it! But, perhaps.... I shall take more of a backseat approach from now on. We shall not talk for a while, you and I. But I will be there, and you will do as I wish. Farewell.
And then it was gone. Morgoth's mind was empty for a moment. And then he could feel it, in the back of his mind. Go, it whispered, laughing maniacally as it faded.
Morgoth stirred, his eyes dry. He blinked. At last, he thought. He reach his right hand down to his leg, touching a book. Holding out his left hand toward the trap door. Murmuring, and a haze appeared around the door. A short creaking sound and pieces of the door disintegrated, causing it to give way.

Tearus smiled at his thief knowledgeable friend, "Yes, my good man, let us go see the others." Tearus walked towards the large building. Tearus, what exactly are you planning? I don't know people are probably frightened. And you think a cutpurse is the type of person they want to help them? Better than nothing.[/i]
Tearus alked into the large building and lost his uppity behaviour. He moved over to a crying woman and put his cloak around her. He took a small church of Elimine relic out of his sack, and handed it to a traveling priest the bandits had robbed earlier. The man quietly began a prayer. Tearus adressed the whole of the room in his natural voice, deeper and calmer, [coor=blue]"Everyone, the problem here was not your fault."[/color] The priest began to speak angrily, but Tearus spoke over him, "It is a calamity that should have never happened. To anyone. But it can not get in the way of your lives. I know it's difficult, but it must be done."

Perseus was still sitting there, eating his bread and cheese when all of a sudden, he wasn't sitting, rather falling.
"What the?" Then he dropped onto a man in black who seemed very familiar... I know, who that is... Before he could think any more about the subject he found words coming out of his mouth.
"Morgyth!" Perseus immediately got up and climbed up to get off Morgoth. He then helped him up and proceeded to talk. "So, where have you been and what are you doing in that basement? I'll be right back." Perseus walked over to his bread and cheese snack and picked up what was left which had rolled onto the floor when he fell. He returned over to Morgoth and offered him some.
"Want some? It's realy good and i have some extra. You look hungry."
There was banging on the door and Perseus remembered the men. I guess it would be good to tell him about them...
"Oh, and Morgoth, I might have angered a man in a tavern and he might have chased me. Oh, and he might be banging on the door with a couple of other men..."

"Perseus, calm down!" Morgoth said as Perseus helped him up. "Cheese? Men? What?" He looked at Perseus' outstretched hand and the cheese. "Well......yes."
What now, Morgoth thought, taunting the voice as he took the cheese and ate it. If it heard it made no reply. He straightened his clothes, and checked to see if his tomes where in place. They were.
"Open up, ya bandit," someone said from the upward direction of the door. BANG BANG. "Open up!"
"It seems you've been mistaken to be a bandit," Morgoth said to Perseus, a little light bleeding through the hole above them. "Now what? They know what you look like, your clothes, your weapon, your tallness..... wait, they don't know who I am!" He took off his bag.
"Here, hold this," Morgoth said, giving the bag to Perseus. "Make sure you don't lose this. Now give me your ax. And take off the bandanna, tousle up your hair. Now lets greet our visitors when your ready. And act smart, educated. Your a mage now."
OoC: Don't loose the bag, *wink wink*

With no forthcoming answers, and no place to look for the missing direction, Aaron was left to his own devices. It felt like a precarious position to be in, suddenly. The decisions of his pastand future, whether fast, cautious, prudent, or rash were his responsibility to take up. The sage fingered his tomes, looking around at the people in the structure around him. They were making their own decisions. His just tended towards the wilder adventure kind of choices.
Sinking to the ground and leaning back against the wall, Aaron decided that the choices he had could wait until the next morning. He wasn't sure how drained he'd become today, but a night's rest was called for. They could leave on the morrow. Mind made up, Aaron closed his eyes, and settled in to wait for the morning.

Morgoth walked toward the inn. Those guy's were so easy to trick, he thought. He attacked me and I killed him! He chuckled, recalling the events at the house. And I still ended up with the cool books! Morgoth moved on, and there was still no sign of Perseus. He'll turn up, he always does, Morgoth thought. The voice silently wished in the background that he didn't turn up. It was getting late, so Morgoth headed into the large building. Hmmm.... Morgoth thought, looking around the place. I guess I should find some people to travel with. A figure sitting against the wall caught his eye. He looks familiar. Green hair, the cape and shoulder pad..... His name is Aaron. "I thought-" Morgoth began, but stopped himself. He checked to make sure no one had heard. I thought you weren't talking?! he thought. And how are you so sure of everything? And where did we meet him? Because I am. And we met him in a cave fighting monster bears or something.Or something? I thought you were sure of everything.Shut up and talk to him already or I'll end you, I SWEAR IT!Morgoth began to egg him on but thought better of it. Just get on with life, he thought. I can dish it out latter. I HEARD THAT! Morgoth ignored him and plopped down next to Aaron. He could feel the voice simmering in the background. Hey Aaron, it's me, Morgoth," Morgoth said, gently nudging him. "Remember me?" OoC: Don't worry, the internal dialogue will get better, I promise

The green haired sage woke when he felt the nudge. As his eyes opened, he looked around the tavern. Recent circumstances felt fuzzy to his memory, but he did remember the fight and making it back to town. Little seemed to have changed inside, except for the amount of light outside. The sky was already dark, the remnants of heavy cloud cover being whisked away by the evening breeze. What puzzled him was the man sitting next to him on the floor.
Aaron leaned forward, getting off the wall as he turned and listened to the black haired man. There was something... dark and ominous surrounding the man. It was a similar feeling to what he sensed off of Lilith, except her personality made it easy to ignore these disturbing aspects. He knew what he was feeling. Shaman magic. He couldn't quite place the face, but apparently it sounded like they had met before. When he looked again though, there was an inkling of recognition. They'd met briefly on the way from Ostia to Laus, and then the journey to Pherae.... He'd kept to himself alot, as the sage recalled.
"Barely. What leads you here, Morgoth. Last time I saw you, I thought you were heading east." The sage rubbed his eyes quickly, trying to get the sleep that had accumulated there out. Personally he wished more had been able to gather, but he wasn't going to just roll over and ignore a chance meeting of acquaintances.

"So you do remember!," Morgoth said, delighted. Your supposed to mysterious and calculating! You said to make friends! How am I supposed to do that if I act like you! The voice grumbled in the background as Morgoth snapped out of thought.
"Well, I don't really remember all that well," Morgoth lied, "I sorta woke up in jail. Something about causing a riot and rebellion in Lycia or something." He pretended to think about it. Your going to give us away if you keep acting like that! He doesn't know you that well! Just give me time and I'll find a happy medium!
Morgoth touched the bag at his side, making sure it was still there. He refocused on Aaron. "So what have you been up to? Is Gabriel still hanging around with you? And where are you heading?"
Do you think we can learn anything from him? Morgoth questioned the voice. NO, YOU DOLT! Can you really not sense around you? He doesn't converse with the void. Someone nearby by does though. No, remember, I have the skill and you have the power and sense ability. Which if you ask me makes no sense! Morgoth refocused on the world around him, smiling at Aaron to reassure him that he was listening and not acting stranger than normal.
OoC: Perseus may or may not be coming back, so don't wait on him. He said he's not sure what he's doing. And I'll change the green thoughts to yellow next time so they're legible.

"Woke up in jail?" Aaron roused himself back to full alertness. Had Morgoth turned out to be some kind of rabble rousing troublemaker? His goals had always seemed a bit mysterious. He'd wanted to intervene in the Bernese and Ilian conflict going on, but 5he green haired sage had never dug further in to find the reasons behind the plan. Maybe it had just been a ruse to sow confusion in Ilia, but it wouldn't make sense for him to even have mentioned that if he was actually intent on causing trouble.
The sage frowned, then spoke his mind. "Why don't you tell me a bit more about how you got yourself jailed before we talk more about me." Aaron honestly didn't like the idea of any strangers tagging along behind him, let alone ones that had been arrested. He couldn't help but consider that his basis for such feelings was less stable than it had been before. Essentially, he'd broken someone out of jail himself. He still believed it had been the right thing, given the circumstances, but that had changed his views on a few things. The stories where the magi stepped in to fill the role of judge because those without the knowledge were too afraid to judge safely. He'd just witnessed, and participated in a case of that a few days before. It felt strange to be acting like that though.

Ops, Morgoth thought. What do I say? You never told me- We didn't wait for the proper paper work and decree's before we set off. We meaning you? No, meaning WE!
"Well," Morgoth said, trying not to laugh at the voice's expense," I sorta started the Lycian force before having all the proper permissions. I had permission, but the legislative end wasn't finished and thereby I was thrown in jail. I guess I didn't realize that factor."
Morgoth thought a moment. "But I've given up on the idea for an army, now I just want to learn more of magic. Live and learn a bit more, after all I'm only seventeen. The fact that I got that close satisfies me."
Good, the voice said, make people think you've given up. You're doing well. I don't know if that's good or bad, coming from you. It's good for you.... the voice said maniacally.
OoC: I really hope I get better at this. It'll be good for Morgoth if I do.

"Sounds like someone took a dislike to your exploits. You make any enemies while you were over there?" He waved his hand dismissively, showing that it wasn't actually important to him. Only seventeen, and look at what he'd tried already. Sometimes Aaron forgot that he wasn't that much older. He'd only reached his twenty-first year himself. Perhaps with a bit more age, he'd have had the patience and wisdom to manage to procure another method of getting Lilith away safely, but at the time, his had seemed to be the best option. He couldn't keep looking back like that. He had to look forward. It was just so hard to find forward when everything was clouded in uncertainty.
"Ah.... I guess I should say something about myself now, hm...?" Morgoth had explained some of his own happenings since they parted after all.
"Well, let's see.... I guess I've not done much. I made it to Etruria, before some business brought me back here, to a friend. I'm not really sure what I'm doing from here, really. Some research. Maybe pressing on westward. They say the taint that was covering Ostia, and the other western provinces is receding. Other reports said something about a fiery explosion in Ostia a few weeks ago."
The green haired sage scratched his chin in thought for a moment. He hadn't given it much thought, but the timing was awfully convenient for those two occurrences.
"I wonder if they are connected somehow." Aaron seemed to be losing himself in thought as he spoke, eyes growing distant as his mind searched for other connections which may have been missed previously. Roland's tomb had been there. The Etrurian fire strike on Ostia. He wondered what else could have been going on there. Distant impressions of dark and fear seemed to be trying to surface, but there was only murk there.

Tearus had slowly tried to calm down a few of the villagers. He felt extremely sorry that he would have to leave. His life had changed in a different way than theirs. He could change it and move past it in a different way than they could. But for him to move past it, he couldn't stay to help them. In a perfect world, he'd stay and help them. But his mind was an example of the imperfections of this world, and he was willing to admit only part of him was sane. The problem of that thought was that the sane part of his mind was a product of his insanity.
He had created the man in his mind when he was twelve. Tearus had found a book of Etrurian folktales, and began reading them. He had been shocked, when there was a myth called The Thief of Flame, Tearus. The young thief was ecstatic, he' been named after a hero! Well a hero to thieves anyway. However, when he asked his father, the man admitted he had never heard of the story. He'd simply strung together a few syllables, and given the boy a name. Regardless, Tearus enjoyed reading the story. He was the thief who 'stole the Dragon's fire', and sold it to Athos. There was a large stain covering the information about the man's character, so he created an illusion about what he'd have been like. Eventually, the image began to speak to the physical Tearus, and give him advice.
Now he wouldn't shut up. The real Tearus walked over to the Sage, Aaron, who was conversing with a dark man. Tearus fingered his hilt inside his cloak, and asked, "So, where would you be headed?" How intricate a question. Wasn't it though? You're an idiot, why did I ever open my mouth and speak to you? Well- Oh! I know, your mind is so devoid of intelligent thought, I got lonely, and turned to the only available source of the sensation of presence, you. Why did I imagine you as such a jackass? Mental silence. I'm not speaking to you.

"Oh yeah, Ostia is totally toast, I was there when it happened. In fact I think I know the person who caused it. Imma gonna have to slug him one when I meet him again." Dancingly descending upon the scene, Elias the mage of crimson appears! He wasn't sure what the two were talking about but he heard Ostia and that was enough for him to rudely interrupt and insert his self into the conversation between Green and... that guy. Who was that guy again? Elias saw him somewhere before once, but couldn't put his finger on it, oh well didn't quite rightly matter. He smelled like onions and looked creepy, so he was probably a shaman.
"Heya Green, what you two talking about? Besides exploding nations and general tomfoolery?" Elias decided this was a better use of his time then just wandering around doing nothing, it's been forever since he saw another magic type and now they were falling from the sky like so many bushels of apples. Or however the analogy went.
There was the shifty looking guy too! Who's name isn't coming to mind, so he probably wasn't too important. "Heya." Elias waved at him with a grin, it was only polite.

Isabel, Solomon at her feet, snuck in behind Elias, using his flashy colors to draw attention away from herself. Not that she was very successful; her hair color wasn't exactly inconspicuous. Nor was the cloak... Or the bag... Or the worn Flux tome in her hand. She grabbed the larger red mage's shoulders, and peeked around, grinning at Aaron. "'Sup?" she beamed, and then removed her hands from Elias to stand beside him. Solomon, meanwhile, sat back on his feet, holding himself up regally with his front legs. The cat's green gaze was arrogantly pointed away from the sage, instead staring at the other teen present.
"What was that about Ostia?" Isabel asked, lifting one eyebrow and staring at Elias. She then shrugged, and removed her cloak, dropping it unceremoniously on top of Solomon, who bolted as Isabel sat down on the fabric. "Scratch that, I don't care. Where are we going?" Well, of course she was going to hang around. This Aaron guy was interesting! And with Calvin again disappearing, she had nothing better to do. Sure, she could probably walk around and ravage bandits some more, but that was lonely work, even with the bard and the cat. And besides that, this guy reminded her a little bit of Valorian with all the magic and green hair and cloak... The lack of goatee and the proper number of limbs was different, as was the exact hair color... And the fact that Jya wasn't here. But there was Tearus, and Elias seemed like a suitable erratic replacement for Calvin, should her best friend decide to not show up in time.
It'd be even better if she could reassemble the original group, but this would have to do.

Without warning, a new cluster of people seemed to form around the green haired sage without warning. Enough that he became lost in all of what they said. Seriously, he wasn't sure he even remembered all of their names, and they were asking him stuff like where he was going. What was he doing. etc. What was he doing, anyway?
"Hold on. Stop right there. Why the sudden interest in me? Everyone here has flocked to me. What is it? Is my cloak on fire? Did someone draw on my face while I was asleep?" Aaron sighed, before muttering a quiet "this happens all the time" to himself. It seemed to more often than not. The general term he had coined for it was "Aaronarchy". It had started after he'd begun his journey, and seemed to happen often enough to be called reliable. "It" being a strange fondness of fate to seize hold of his actions and magnify them beyond what he expected.
The only person not present seemed to be the one he'd come in with just a few minutes ago. It seemed like Lilith was practically trying to lose him, at the moment.
