Vashanr didn't think much of the invite at all when he got it; and now that he was here was glad to have arrived. The place was in such splendor that it made Vashnar oblivious to the ongoing conflicts in the world. Surrendering he lance to the guards, Vashnar casually walked into the main hall with everyone else. Seeing a group already, he decided to meet some of the other guests and learn of their travels.
Walking over he noticed that he wasn't the only one in armor; and was relieved. Approaching the group, Vashnar bowed poiltely and greeted them. [white]"Hello, sorry if I'm interrupting at all. My name is Vashnar; a pleasure to meet you all at this feast".[/white]

Oh joy, she was with an army! Maybe she know something about where any survivors from Ostia's end may have ended up. She had even said they've been all over, more good news. She then had began to ask about Claire's home. "Yeah it's in Lycia, I couldn't tell you exactly where though I'm not good with maps. But before I left to travel a bit I received the invitation to come here." Thinking about the reason why she was about to leave home brought sadness to Claire's heart, here she was living it up while her brother was who knows where in pain. "But I was living in a two room home alone for a while, I shared it with my brother. He was able to buy it after our parents had died in a house fire, he raised me since I was a little girl." The smile had quickly faded.
Before she could go on with her story another person had joined them, he had introduced himself as Vashnar. He too was in armor, she had thought it was strange some people were attached to some type of title that they wouldn't cast it aside even for one evening. Once he had sat down she kept going on with her story. 'The people are so nice, since my brother wouldn't take hand-outs they gave him a small discount since it was just the two of us. The springs are soooo pretty when all the flowers are in bloom. But enough about me, everybody else is so quite why don't somebody else share something about their home?"

Sammi looked around the table as many people kept comming in and introducing themselves. She liked listening to the others stories and where they came from. She found that Claire Labelle was very much like her because she had had lost boh her parents to. As she finished with her story, Sammi decided to speak up next.
"So for those of you who dont know, im Sammi and im from Ilia. My mother died when i was very little." Sammi decided to leave out some details. "My dad raised me, but he fell very ill and died eventually too. I am an archer, and have been hunting since i was little, but now I travel and make a living for myself. I dont belong to an army of any sort, yet. Now I just live wherever I can." She wondered if they would think she was to young to be on her own. Lots of people in the places she'd been always tell her that she was to young to be an archer. Sammi was interested to hear what the others had to say about it, but then again, Clair had said that she was trained as a pegasis knight since she was little. Then again, Clair was also from Ilia like her. Labelle was only a year older than her too. Sammi just sat back and listened to what the others had to say.

She nodded a greeting to Vashnar as he approached, but there weren't alot of spaces left here. The table stretched on and on, so more people would be able to fit, but as the seats were claimed, people were being stretched further and further down the table. She glanced over to see if Derick had any company yet. Nope. There was still time though.
As Labelle told her story, Clair listened, beginning to understand a little more about the girl's past. A two room house.... Clair smiled, reminded of her own home in the north. Her family had had a three room house, with a decently sized main room. Decently sized for many of the other smaller houses, at least. Clair still had a good feeling of what Labelle was talking about though. She was a bit envious when the brunette spoke of the beautiful flowers in the spring. Ilia had its own natural beauty, of course and she loved it, but sometimes she wondered what life would have been like growing up in the soft and warm Southlands.
"It sounds like someplace I'd like to visit some day."
Sammi's story came next. Another family to have lost both parents. Whether through war, sickness, or fire it was always a tragedy to lose family like that. It made the Falcoknight doubly appreciative that she still had her parents. It also brought up the guilt that she hadn't communicated with them. Three years now. She was ashamed.... But she could fix that later. Now wasn't the time to think on that.
They were all so young, she realized on looking around. It felt unusual to be grouped in with so many youth. She often forgot her own youth in the climate of what she dealt with. Sammi was traveling alone though. Labelle was doing her thing. Derick had been in the same boat she was in. A youngster in the army. She was forced to admit that she wasn't as unique as she'd thought she'd been.
"I'll share a little about Arphen." She paused, collecting her thoughts. "Arphen is... beatuiful, and I always thought it was kind of majestic. Picture a city, perched midway up one of the snowy mountains of Ilia. A wide road winds up the foothills to its gates. Mighty stone walls surround it, following the contours of the slopes of the mountain.... I used to love to watch the light of the sunset from my window. The way it cast that orange glow across the snow covered walls and rootops of the city was breathtaking...." She stopped, nostalgia taking over.
"I really miss it. Having a home, you know? And my family...."

Nihlus was a bit shocked when he had recieved and invitation to a banquet that everyone around the world was also invited to. The idea of ever person of Elibe at one place sound a bit worrisome. Not everyone got along with each other and it would probably cause a lot of fights which he didn't mind but some people might take things to the extreme. When he read the part about the best chiefs around it made him hungrier that he already was! The idea of that made his mouth water, what kind of food would they have? He hoped for some kind of huge animal that he had never seen before roasted and placed near his seat.
His thoughts of food paused as he thought about something for a moment. He had received this invitation while he was sleeping so what if this was just some prank? He'd be so disappointed if this was a prank but still to skip up on the opportunity to be fed like a king?! You'd have to be mad to skip out on something like that! Even if this was some prank Nihlus would still be able to beat the living daylights out of the guys who tricked him. The young teen then checked the map on the back of the invitation and noticed how it was quite a bit away and it would take away from his journey to find Inell but his teacher wouldn't mind if he grabbed something to eat right?
On his way to the banquet Nihlus figured he'd stop in a town and find some fancy clothes to buy. Once he arrived at a nice store he soon realized that he had no money to afford something like that. Bummed, Nihlus headed toward the location anyway hoping that he would pass just with his normal clothing. Too see that many people had gotten the invitation and were heading in his same direction pleased Nihlus. With all these people there would be no way he'd get bored. With a big smile on his face he marched toward his destination.
He was a little bit away from the castle and was starving, luckily for him he'd eat plenty. He stopped in his tracks when he noticed above head there was a Dragon flying over head. A Dragon! Oh boy was that something he had never seen an actual live Dragon before! This would make an excellent story to tell his family one day, man a Dragon. Nihlus then sped up toward the castle eager to get things started. Turning in his possessions was easy but he didn't like parting with his tome, he almost always had that thing near him ever since Inell gave it to him.
The castle was much bigger on the inside than Nihlus had imagined. He made sure to walk with care so he didn't accidentally bumped into anything and knock it over. Heaven knows he doesn't have any money to replace something broken in this place. Nihlus was amazed at how glamorous everything looked and he felt a bit awkward wearing his normal attire and nothing elegant like. He shrugged it off and continued walking take a moment everyone now and again to look at some around a bit. Everything look interesting except the statues he kept seeing over and over again. They were cool looking but then again he had no idea who it was supposed to be.
Once he had arrived to what he believed was the dinning hall he noticed that some people were wearing quite nice looking clothing. This made Nihlus look down at himself and feel a bit foolish looking. His clothes were dirty and so was his face a bit. It didn't bother him that much so it was time to find a seat. Nihlus headed over toward a free seat he saw across from a blonde gentleman that seemed to be adjusting his armor. The rose haired boy sat across the man with a big smile on his face.
"Hello there my name is Nihlus Guildheart it's a pleasure to meet you," He said with a big smile as he then looked around. No one had any food yet so it seemed that he didn't arrive too late which was a good thing. "I don't know about you but I can't wait to get some of this food," He added as his thoughts went to what kind of food he wanted. Thoughts of all sorts of meats and vegetables flew through his mind. He wanted to eat so much that he'd be stuffed for ages.

Clair shared about her hometown and it reminded Sammi of the small house she used to live in. It was south of the mountains, but it still had the same sort of atmosphere about it. She had barely known her mother, and she missed her father horribly. The small house was nothing but a memory to her now.
After a while Clair trailed off saying that she missed her parents and home. "Yeah I miss my home and family too", she told Clair. She looked down at her feet. Her usual smile faded. Clair to filled with nostalgia to say anymore. Sammi waited to see if anyone else was to speak up, but there was an awkward silence that followed so she decided to lighten the mood and take Clair's mind off the subject.
"So, being in an army must be cool. I'll bet you've been more places I have." Sammi stopped a moment to think about what it would be like to have someone to travel with, instead of just working with whoever. She smirked, remebering past experiences. Some people she had to work with would rather go at each other, then work together. At least in an army you get used to the people.
"So, anyway," Sammi continued, "Where are some of the places you've been? Where was your favorite?"
Sammi had been so full of thoughts that she failed to notice another guest, a boy about her age, had reached the table. He introduced himself as Nihlus.
"Hello Nihlus. I'm Sammi. Yeah I can't wait for them to bring out the food. A place as nice must have some pretty good food, right?"

Clair looked looked over and met Sammi's eyes as the younger girl tried to bring her back to the moment. She gave an appreciative smile and refocused herself. Places and events like this weren't made for getting lost in memories.
"Well, I love Ilia, and visiting the Capital of Edessa is probably what I would consider the highlight of my travels, but when the snow and cold grow tired, and I just want to see some green, I think I'd have to pick Sacae. The southwestern plains have wonderful winds and breezes for flying when the weather cooperates." Sacae had been the best for flying out of all the places she'd traveled to. Ilia and Bern had favorable winds and conditions for flying as well for skilled riders, but Sacae's strong, warm swells were unmatched for pleasure flights, and easily maneuverable in combat. Such things were important to her.
"Sometimes the winds there could be terrifying though. I guess the sun shining all day causes it., but occasionally, the winds would become so strong that I would worry for Corona.... That's my pegasus."
She spotted the rose haired boy that entered as Sammi spoke up. He looked to be heading over to Derick though. At least he'd have some company.
"What about you Sammi? You've been traveling for awhile, haven't you? You must have a few stories to tell." She waited for the pony-tailed girl to speak. Surprisingly, she found herself relaxing into the setting, despite her initial belief that it would be tougher for her to manage.

As Clair shared a little bit about her travels, Sammi had begun to relax more. Clair had been to many places in Ilia, as well as Bern and Sacae.
"Well, I have been to many places around Ilia," Sammi replied to Clair's question about her travels. "I have been to Edessa once, when I was little, but I loved it there. I have also been all around Ilia while I was training. After that, I've been to Etruria very briefly, I barely stopped anywhere for long. I was also most recently in Lycia." Clair had been to Sacae, which is a place she had always wanted to go. "I hope to travel to Bern and Sacae one day and go back to Eturia since I only visited while traveling to Lycia."
She also remebered that Clair had a pegasis named Corona. "It must be really cool to have a pegasis too," added Sammi. She knew it would be really akward if the conversation died. "How long have you been riding?"

Kyo was suitably miffed, although in retrospect he probably should have realized that trying to chisel a chunk off the gigantic golden castle was a terrible idea. Live and learn.
When Kyo woke up that morning, this was not at all what he was expecting. When he read that fancy piece of paper, he had crumpled it up and tossed it over his shoulder, naturally assuming it to be a hoax. However, as he travelled, he heard more and more rumors about the mysterious invitation that seemingly everyone had received. If everyone had received it, it couldn't harm one measly thief to show up and get some free food, right? How could they target him out of the thousands of people that were bound to arrive?
And arrive he did. Seeing a castle made purely of gold, naturally his first thought was to take a piece of it for himself. Naturally, he failed. He should've realized there were safeguards around a castle made of gold that appeared out of nowhere. That would be common sense.
... Does common sense even apply to magic castles made of gold?
So Kyo entered the castle, discovering that common sense does not apply to magic castles made of gold.
'Man, this place is freakin huge,' was the only thing that went through Kyo's mind. How'd they manage to get this place so big on the inside? It definitely didn't look this big on the outside. Magic is one heck of a thing.
After the valet took his weapon, lockpick, hammer, chisel and other various thiefy items (did the valet just shoot him a dirty glance? Hmmm....) that, while not large, were considered belongings and thus fell under the aegis of things that were required to be confiscated. No skin off Kyo's back, from here on out he figured he'd just enjoy the free meal.
There was one problem though. As he was led to the table, the food wasn't even laid out yet. That was a bummer.
As he stopped at the table he was led to, he quickly scanned for an available seat. It seemed like everyone was already caught up in their own conversations, so he immediately took a seat next to a kid with pink hair, who was sitting across from a guy with blonde hair. Kyo leaned back in his chair, propped his feet up on the table and pillowed his head in his hands in a relaxed position. It seemed like the kid had just finished introducing himself, but Kyo had come a split second too late and missed his name. Meanwhile, the body language of the other man seemed like he had wanted to make himself look busy, but to Kyo he just looked fidgety.
Oh well, that's neither here nor there.
Kyo turned his head towards the kid beside him. This couple seconds of silence was getting tiresome already. "Hey there," He started. Yeah, that didn't sound forced at all. Real smooth. 'Where the heck is the food?' Went through Kyo's mind. "My name is Kyo," He continued. Yeah, well, whatever, forced small talk wasn't his thing anyways. He didn't really care about looking awkward, either. Kyo took a look around, no one else at the table looked like the thieving sort, but he had to ask to sate his curiosity. Also to see if anyone else had managed, maybe he could get some gold out of the deal. "So, uh... did anyone else try to take a chunk out of the castle?"

The crowd inside the dining hall had grown to an appropriate size to began to serve drinks and appetizers. A small army of servers came rushing out from the kitchen with carts full of the finest wines, the purest water, from the weakest to the strongest ale, the finest teas and coffee, and many types of juices people haven't even heard of yet. They handed out drinks as fast as they were ordered, on each table the placed two decent sized platters of appetizers.
There were Strawberry Goat Cheese Bruschetta from Etruria, Khoorshoor from Sacae, small Ricotta Appetizer Pies from Lycia, Chicken Anastasia from Illia, a Shrimp Cocktail from the Isles, Fleisch Perisky from Bern, and what looked to be fried lizard from Nabata.
After setting the trays down and serving drinks the servers had scurried back to the kitchen as quickly as they came out.

The other two girls had been all over the world while Claire had been sitting at home playing country girl, she did enjoy the simple life but being able to help those in need far and wide would have pleased Labelle duo. The lands Clair had described sounded beautiful in their own way, Claire had always wanted to see Illia's snowy mountain tops. As the other two spoke servers had appeared with drinks and appetizers, Claire took a hot green tea and took a sip of it before setting it upon the table in front of her. "I want to see a little bit of everything with Christophe, my brother, after we reunite. Were you scared to ride on a pegasis Clair? I know I was nervous riding Ciel the first time."
All it looked so yummy, Claire wanted to try it all but knew she shouldn't fill up before the main course. She bypassed the fried lizard for the Chicken Anastasia, she took a small bite of it and wow, it was amazing. "Mmm... this is really good, does anybody know what it is?"

Aurek took a look around the room as he entered. It was ridiculously huge. Obviously, the card wasn't lying when it said that everyone was invited. Everything was impressive. The golden castle, the vast hall, the enormous table, the huge crowd. Way too many people in a close space for Aurek. If there wasn't a promise of delicious food, he would have never even shown up. As it was, he arrived just as the appetizers and drinks were being served. Throwing his armor and weapons aside, he rushed the nearest server and began devouring everything on the platter. There were imprints on his clothes of where the armor covered his tunic but that was soon defaced by bits of food flying everywhere. The staff seemed unperturbed however. Apparently, they realized an invite to everyone meant an invite to some strange, old men.
Not used to such fine cuisine, Aurek made a hasty retreat to a corner and proceeded to wretch. The only reason he even went to the corner was to prevent splashing on the food. Must save the food. he thought. Quickly recovering, he sauntered over to a table of particularly noisy women in armor and began taking their food and drink without so much as a by-your-leave. It was an excellent start to the day.

As the next stage of the meal began, the servers wheeled out in an impressive display of discipline and efficiency. The way they moved among the tables made it almost like watching a practiced battle formation racing across the field. That gave her an idea, and she smiled a bit. She ought to begin working with the other pegasus riders in the army on a training in choreographed flights. It would help their precision and timing for sure....
As the food and drink came out, she took a small portion of each, curious about what was represented. Her portions were very small, as she didn't want to take too much.. Particularly the lizard. The chicken reminded her a bit of how her father had occasionally fixed a meal though. It was far more upscale than she was used to, but something about the smell and taste reminded her of home. Possibly some of the garnish or spices.... Either way, it was delicious, despite being worlds fancier than her tastes. Wow.... How did you get here, Clair?! This isn't something you could have earned a place at....
The Ilian was a little at a loss for what she ought to get to drink. Instead of making a real decision, she just took some of what Labelle picked, and hoped for the best. The taste that greeted her was a rich taste. Only the best was being used, it seemed.
Clair took note as Labelle began speaking again. Christophe must be the brother she hadn't seen in awhile, but before she could inquire, the young brunette had moved back to Clair's training.
"Oh, yes!... It's been awhile since I last thought of that." Clair admitted. "The first time we rode, there were instructors riding with us. Before that, we practiced on regular horses.... We had plenty of preparation, but yes. It was scary. Some of us took to it better than others." Clair paused and grinned a bit, remembering Marle's immediate dislike of the experience. She'd tried to say she wanted to rely on her own two feet.... Self reliance was great, but Clair would never trade away Corona and the sky. "It was invigorating too though. I know I've never regretted sticking with it."
She was enjoying the meal, and just about to try her bite of lizard (for better or worse) when they were suddenly interupted by a man coming up to the table, and barging his way in. Without delay, he started scooping up their food. What his plan with so much rich food was, she couldn't tell.... Making himself sick, from the looks of things. He could easily do that without taking their food though. She looked again, and noticed he was an elder. He really ought to know better than this, even if he was raised by a bunch of ruffians.
"Excuse me!" Clair raised her voice, and reached out an arm, grabbing at one of his arms. She looked up at him from her seat, ire apparent in both voice and face.
"Do you see anyone else here behaving as you are?! Could you tell me why this might be?" While her voice wasn't exactly raised, it was certainly clear she wasn't happy, and it had hardened from relaxation back into the voice of a commander of soldiers. Specificly the voice that made trainees cringe because they suddenly knew with all their heart, that they'd messed up somewhere.

As the servers provided the group with the first course of meals, Sammi decided to try a bit of the Etrurian strawberry goat cheese. She also took a bit of the juice, which she never tried before, but it looked and smelled delicious, just like all the other dishes and beverages being served.
As Sammi was taking a drink of her juice, which was very delicious as expected, Clair answered Labelle's question about her first time with a pegasis. Sammi wondered what it would be like to ride one herself. She had always enjoyed being in high places. She would probably be one to take it easier than others, however, she had never had the experiance first-hand, so she shouldn't be making conclusions.
As the two other girls started their meals, another man joined the group and went right into gorging himself in all of the food provided, which resulted in him vomiting in the corner moments later. Clair, however, took initiative and tried to stop the man from further embarrassing himself.
As Clair was wih the elder, Sammi turned to Labelle and decided to take this chance to get to know her better.
"So, Labelle", Sammi started. "Ceil must be your horse. That's really cool that you ride. That has always been something that I wanted to do, and maybe one day I will."
Sammi took another bite of her goat cheese as she finished and awaited Labelles response. Sammi was glad that she was meeting all of these new people, since she never really settled down in one place for long.

The rose haired boy looked over to the other table as a blonde haired girl had greeted him. "Hello there Sammi pleasure to meet you," He said with a wave as he then heard his stomach rumble. "I know once it gets here I'm gonna eat all of it! He exclaimed with a big smile on his face as he rubbed his stomach. Food please come soon he's stomach couldn't take more of this torture. The young teen then overheard one of the ladies at the other table say something about Ilia and Pegasuses. Maybe this person knew something about his sister seeing as she was in Ilia training to become a pegasus rider. As Nihlus was about to ask someone came over to the table he was sitting at and sat down next to him. Nihlus smiled as the man said hello, he was glad to see someone else who seemed talkative.
"Hello there Kyo the name's Nihlus," The teen replied with a smile on his face. Before he could say anything about what Kyo had just said it was finally time. Nihlus watched with much happiness as food and drinks were now being served. All the food looked delicious and Nihlus wasn't sure what to start with! Without anymore though to it Nihlus picked up his fork and started digging into his food. Aww man this stuff is the best! Nihlus thought as he paused to savor the taste of the Chicken Anastasia. Oh boy whatever this was tasted soooo gooood! He looked over to the man that just entered the room and raised a brow. That man seemed a bit strange to Nihlus but he shrugged it off and went back to eating.
Nihlus looked back to the man with a surprised face as he started to eat everything on one servers platter. He himself had a huge appetite but geez. The rose haired boy couldn't help but laugh a bit when the man started to throw up in a corner, that's what he deserves for eating all that food to fast. When the man had started to swipe people's food Nihlus went to reach for his tome and teach this guy a lesson by fire. As he went to grab it he remembered that he left it out front when he came in. Bummed that he couldn't get into a fight he figure that the blonde woman who stopped him could deal with the situation, after all it was her food he grabbed.
