Tuatara didn't here Clair reply, so he turned to face his opponent. And got a face full of fist. Mantis had pulled up his pants and tied the frayed ends of his belt together. And then proceeded to try and murder Tuatara like a crazed bear.
"HOW DARE YOU INSULT ME LIKE THAT!" Mantis screamed as Tuatara was sent to the ground. Tuatara was stunned. Huh, i guess that was a little insulting. He looked to see Mantis running at him, and quickly scrambled to his feet.
"Run, run, as fast as you can," Tuatara said, looking back at Mantis as they proceeded to run in circles, " You can't catch- oh, I forget the rest." He slowed a little to allow Mantis to catch up, and then sped up, taughting the poor man. He did this several times, and then randomly fell to all fours, tripping Mantis and sending him flying.
Dust caught in the wind from the landing. Is this over yet, its getting a bit boring. Now i remember why mother always told me not to play with my food. He put a hand on his hip, looking extremely bored.

At this point, Clair wasn't really even watching the match. She was standing at the back wall, watching the crowd that was watching the fight.... Just waiting for it to finish. She looked back at the soujd of yelling from the arena in time to see Mantis' face clobber into the orange haired thief's face. What followed was a game of catch me if you can, which she looked away from long before it was over.
She really didn't know what to think. Mantis had to be wanting to kill Tuatara right about now. She could completely empathize with that.... She debated whether she'd be reacting the same if she were in Mantis' shoes right now She really took a moment to reflect....
"Probably...." She mused out loud to herself. In reality, she would probably resist, but she couldn't be sure. And she certainly wouldn't be happy with him....

"Probably what?" muttered Richter, his attention completely diverted from the circus act occurring before them.
This wasn't a fight. It was a nuisance, and the small sympathys he held for the archer were quickly disappearing. Equipped for melee combat or no, the Mantis had left all battle decorum behind and was allowing himself to be strung around by Tuatara like a donkey following a carrot.
"Probable that this match is a mess? I'd agree."

Tuatara rubbed his back while the dust settled. That hurt, he thought, picking himself up and dusting off. Preying Mantis was on the ground, his condition unknown. Tuatara scurried over there to check it out.
Ohhhhhh.... Tuatara thought, looking at the knot forming on the man's skull. Thats gotta hurt. Tuatara put his foot on the man in a 'I've slain the beast!' pose as the announcer began to count and jabber. Mantis groaned and Tuatara kicked him in the face, grinning all the while.
"...Three.... two....one!" The anouncer called out. "Tut the Mad is the winner!" The crowd cheered and a few even laughed.
Hehehe, Tuatara chuckled to himself. I haven't this much fun.. well, ever. He waved at the crowd and helped the arena workers when they came to get Mantis. That, was awesome! he thought as he made his way back to his seating area.

Tut the Mad needed to die. Everything about him made Aurek hate him more. From his goofy smile, to his ridiculous antics, to his never ending mouth spewing foolishness, Tut was the bane of Aurek's existence. Or at least, that's how it seemed to Aurek in his fury. There would be no simpler pleasure for him than to squeeze the life out of that man, then repeatedly stab the corpse, completely mutilating it. Such thoughts could not be entertained for too long however. Aurek figure the likelihood of being able to fight the mad man were impossibly slim. He would dream though. And plot. Mostly subconsciously of course. Now, it was time for the next fight though...
