We had Lords here once.
I fully stand by our decision to get rid of them, it is a massive can of worms. But we'll see how this goes. Best of luck.

I suppose that leaves Knight Lord, yes? I'll take that one, if I might.

SO THAT OTHER MAY BENEFIT FROM OUR WISDOM AND BOUNTEOUS DISCUSSION, I HAVE DECIDED TO POST THIS HERE.
[/HAM]
Anyway, I think there might be a concern or two with this, Genkumaru. Nothing major; you've done a pretty good job of setting this up, and I understand that, like all good roleplays, we'll be building a lot of stuff as we go along. However, I'm sure that Selibas will be willing to tearfully confirm that I like to nitpick. Bear witness to the first nitpick:
Zacharias brought this up in the C-box, so all credit to him, but we were wondering if it really is justifiable to start out with such powerful weapons. If we--the "in-power" lords--are going to a conference to discuss the death of another ruler during a time of peace, why would we be using weapons that, in their games of origin, are usually either national treasures (Ragnell) or crafted by the best craftsmen/what-have-you after CONSIDERABLE amounts of time and effort (Silencer), making them treasures in and of themselves?
I understand that downgrading might give trouble to at least one story (Selibas'), but I thought the point should be brought up here for everybody to see it. : ) I'm happy to participate, Genkumaru, and I can't wait for this to start, but that was just bugging me. I want this to be the best it can be, neh?

Good point. We shall have the items but can't use them. Swords man start with rapier or katana (iron sword.)
Axe users; wolf beil/hand axe.
Lance users; Reginlief and javelin.
Bow users: short bow?
Mage; fire, wind, thunder, light, or dark xD

Elfire seems about right; it's comparable to the Wolf Beil, Mani Katti, and Reginleif, and, due to it being MAGIC *sparklesparkle*, has a natural advantage against non-Paladin mounted units and armored units. From a quick glance, I would think we could start (usably) with these: Selibas: Mani Katti is fine. Zacharia: Wolf Beil (which would make sense, since it's Hector's ax). Artherus: I'm unsure of this one, but Awakening has something called a "Noble Rapier" that both fits the setting (bunch o' Lords and Ladies whoopin' dragonz and banditz and stuffz) and provides the same advantages as most of the other weapons (+ vs. armor and mounts). Myself: I'm unsure if I need anything special; bows already have the advantage of range and extra power against flying units, which makes them useful enough without special powers. I would vote that a Steel Bow is fine. And shiiiiinnnnyyy. Treysin: I vote for an Elfire, if you want to go that route. Again, comparable power and extra advantages to match that of everyone else (range, ability to fight up close, and using Resistance instead of Defense). Feel free to object; we can find something for you, I'm sure of it. Edrick: Reginleif. Enough said. Genkumaru: ...Huh. I didn't realize it would be this hard to find swords that compare. However, if you're really going for the "farmboy just alerted to his heritage" angle, I would recommend starting with a regular rapier. After Artherus or your mom or Plot Bunnies or someone else trains you up a bit, we can get you something cooler, but given that rapiers were simultaneously cheaper than video games portray and about as strong as people imagine them to be (maybe a little stronger), I think that would be good to start with. Plus, you know, it's the prime tool for teaching the First Rule of Sword Fighting: "Stick 'em with the pointy end." Any thoughts?

Noble Rapier is a powered up, but less durable version of the rapier (In Awakening they're almost useless because INFINITE IRON SWORD HNNNG).
I hope that the names of the personalized weapons are changed, because they're literally custom one of a kind weapons (coughHector can get three Wolf Beils in his runcough)

I have one question do I have to be the KING of Bern? can I just be the prince? it would make no sense for a king to just randomly go off and fight bandits, to me at least.

Each lord is a Queen/King, Lady/Lord, or prince/princess of a country. ...someday to be Marchioness of Laus... Jochi is the youngest of eight children, of the man who united Sacae. And thus spake Aeros, "Yeah." EDIT: Sorry, Zacharia, I missed your post: I'm assuming you misunderstood my question. Forgive me if I'm wrong. XD I'm asking where you want the NAMES changed.
