Born in: Aquleia, Etruria
Story: When Yoki was a young lad, he roamed the streets of Aquleia, often visiting various townsfolk that he had met while he wandered about the streets. One particular day,he met an old, wise-looking man at the market who had told him to come and visit him because he had something special to give him. As any small youth would be, he was very excited about being able to receive some rare gift, so he went to visit his new acquaintance as soon as possible. So the very next day, Yoki went and sought out the old man's house, and paid him a visit. As he entered the home of his elderly friend, he began to feel something strange happening to him. He felt as though his very soul was quivering. He looked around him, suddenly afraid of what might happen to him. When he turned around, he was face to face with the old man, who was smiling gently at young Yoki with warm eyes. The old man explain that the feeling that Yoki was having was from his potential magic power awakening. At first, Yoki didn't understand what the old man meant. But as he explained, Yoki began to understand what was happening. Apparently, he had immense magic reserve stored within his body that had had no way of release, but when he entered the home of the the old man, his magic responded to the magic that the home was under, and his soul was awakened to magic. The gift he was given that day was beyond anything he could have ever imagined, and ever since then he has honed his skill more and more. He learned that day that the man he had met was an elderly Sage who had taken respite in his town for a few days, and that he was quite lucky to have even seen him, for he was extremely reclusive and rarely exited his home. And so it was that Yoki, even though at that time was very young, began to develop his skill in magic. He found that he was particularly talented in fire magic, and so that was where he was focused. After he turned 16, his father, a kind, middle-aged fruit merchant with a large, bulbous nose, told him to go and journey out into the world so that he may further enhance his skills. After a year of travelling and learning about the world, Yoki is finally ready to start seriously focusing on his training again, and is looking for travelling partners for his journey.
This is where his story begins.
