The sun was already up and Butorega was not as far as he desired. He and his remaining units traveled light and left most of the treasures behind, but Yawn and his ilk did no such thing. It was almost as if they made sure to take every heavy piece of furniture of value with them. The Illians were coming, this was a fact Butorega knew for sure, and these fools were to worried about loot and treasure.
"Hay hurry it up", shouted Butorega as frustration started to get to him. "We need to reach the mountain range before the Illians ketch up. Leave the heavy loot behind and let’s get moving."
"Leave the loot", spoke one of Yawns men. "That is insane!"
"Yeah", spoke another. "You sure that guard did not hit you in the head".
"Ignore him men", spoke Yawn as he strutted to the front of the line. "I am in charge here, and I say we take the loot. If you and your men are so worried about time then help us carry it."
"Pompous fool", spoke Boras. He was the only survior from Maxwell's unite. Instead of joining with Yawn and his men he chose to move with Butorega's unit. He figured he would at least die under some one competent.
"Talks big for someone who did not do an inch of fighting", murmmered Bones."
"What was that", spoke Yawn.
"None of your business", spoke Faith jumping in for her team mate. "You should be worried about carrying your loot, not trying to pick fights."
"Silence she devil", spoke Yawn.
"Captain why don't we leave them", whispered Tiffany.
"I would if I could", spoke Butorega not caring if Yawn heard. "But Yawn is higher rank than I am. If we come back without Yawn it would be bad for us. Either we come back with Yawn or bring news of his death. Either way we are stuck with him."
"Probably not for long", spoke Bones as he pointed toward the rising sun. A blurred figure appeared in the sunset heeding there way. "Might be Illia", spoke Bones.

Valin enjoyed the warmth the rising sun brought to the wintery. In the distance he saw men moving towards Bern border. They seemed to be divided into two groups, the larger of the two was weighed down by loot. The rider looked around the Illian unit that let he had fallen into they had the number advantage but would it be enough. Valin swore to himself this time he wouldn't fail these people.
Valin swooped on ahead. "Stop You fool!" Yelled a voice from behind him. The knight knew it was stupid fly on ahead but he wanted the bandits focus on him. Valin chose man lagging behind because of his greed. The bandit had just enough time to drop his ill begone gains before Albues landed on him with a wet sound. The brute flailed around with his axe arm but could get a strong blow from being under the wyvern. Valin planted his lance on the man face ending his struggle. "Belgoth! I have come end you and your pawns! No who hate living the most?" Valin issued his challenge without going airborne he had to keep there attention on him.

Oh Elmine, she sticks her neck out for this guy and he goes and does THIS? He bursted out like a something outta something, and began to go into what Lisa could only explain as a rage because otherwise he simply had no excuse to being so stupid. He had worked his way into the squad, but he didn't follow their plan. They were going to launch a sneak attack, but noooope Valin just ruined that. Perfect. Just... argh really doesn't do her irritation justice. Celice signed something to her, something cruel and cold, but on a logical level Lisa agreed.
Wait.
It was his fault for not following the plan, and if they all rushed then they'd lose the element of surprise. While they're weighed down by their filthy lucre, attack so they can't even have time to respond. The pegasus knights lied in wait, the soldiers and mercenaries were ready to strike, and the healers and archers were poised to make their talents of use. They were waiting for them to be in the perfect spot, but as soon as Valin caught sight he flew into a blood frenzy. And then he just flew. Still, letting him die? That was... That was too much. She bit her lip, knowing she couldn't disobey a direct order. She couldn't do it either, eyes were directly on her, and after her showing earlier she couldn't get away with another stunt like this.
She stared at Valin being an idiot and cringed, she barely knew the knucklehead but she wasn't exactly a fan of seeing people she even barely knew die right in front of her eyes. Especially not in a sadistic situation like this. She needed to wait though, and hope that Celice issued to order before he got himself killed. She stared from her vantage point down at the spectacle, watching the dozen or so bandits all being alerted at the wyvern rider's presence. If he wanted to be a distraction? Well he got his wish. Just survive you weenie, so I can murder you later.

OC: Ok just to make this official you can attack Bones, Faith, and Tiffany, but those three are off the kill list. I need them for later. Also if you are going to engage Yawn please understand he is and Assassin who earned his title by killing not picking chest. He is not a one post enemy.
IC: It took all the will power in Butorega body not to simply charge the man. He was just the person Butorega wanted to see. Just the person he wanted to kill. The cretin dared to show his face again after he killed two of his men, and killed his friend Maxwell. None the less Butorega could tell what he was doing. He had suspected the Illians and knew very well that they would catch up. The mountain rang at the edge of Illia was not far, but with an attack coming from the rear it would be difficult to handle.
"Bones, Faith", spoke Butorega while struggling to hold in his rage. "Lead the rest of the units to the mountains."
"What about you captain", spoke Tiffany with concern.
"I am going to play rear guard", spoke Butorega as he took a step toward Valin.
"Then I am coming too", spoke the armored giantess as she moved to join him.
"No", shouted Butorega as held out his axe. "You are the slowest amongst us Tiffany", spoke Butorega. "You need to head to the mountain with all haste. Leave the Illians to me. I can handle this", spoke Butorega. Reluctantly the armored giant nodded and began to move in the direction of the mountains in the distant.
"Valin", shouted Butorega as he walked amongst Yawns panicking men. Yawn himself was in a bit of a shock, but his swords were already at the read. "Yawn", spoke Butorega as he walked past him. "Order you men to loss the loot and catch up with my unit. We need to move or we will be surrounded."
Yawn stared at Butorega for a moment. He was not sure to yell at him for giving him orders, or to just simply obey. Eventually his logic kicked in and the leader inside of him awoke once more.
"You heard him you lazy louts", shouted Yawn. He was now the fearless brigand Butorega had heard about. He ordered three of his men to catch up with Bones and Faith. The other two were to move with him as the rear guard. Butorega however had some personal matters to deal with.
"The name is Balgoth", spoke Butorega as he stepped forward. He accepted Valin challenge though he knew it was a fool thing to do. From his calculation he had about a minute to finish him off before the main force that Valin was obviously leading would arrive. Either way Pegasus knights were not much a threat to him, but he was however wary of their numbers. "It is not Belgoth you spineless traitor."
Butorega stopped for a moment and took a deep breath. "I hope you have no plans of returning alive", spoke Butorega. "You killed Maxwell and Lander. You also killed Nobunaga. They were my men and my comrades. To day is the day that the worms feast on you corpse." With those words Butorega charged.
As Butorega moved forward as his troops moved away. Yawn and two other brigands were there to provide support, but essentially the Brigand was on his own. Butorega knew he had a very small window of opportunity. If he was going to defeat Valin he had to make it quick, but Valin was not an enemy to be underestimated. He had almost caught Butorega earlier in the man's haste. Butorega was not going to make the same mistake twice. He swung his axe at the man aiming for the same spot he hit last time. This time however he missed on purpose. He used his momentum from the swing to spin around and attack his mount. A Wyvern Knight was nothing without his mount. He knew if he could get rid of the beast the battle would be his.

Valin watched the Bandits break with some surprise. The rider didn't expect it would be that easy. Balgoth was commanding some man clothed in white to lead the retreat making it clear the he was some kind of second. He caught the name Yawn. Valin took note of the man for he'd be Valins target if he survived his fight with Balgoth. The better question is did he want to survive.
"I could care less what you name is fool and as for you men they were weak if they fell to me!" Valin said bracing for the charge. Valin looked up to Illian forces they were still a distance away and couldn't help him. This was good because it allowed them to focus on the other bandits. "Traitor? Me? No Im just a man who hunting sub-human butchers!"
The first swing at Valins side came to clumsily so when The rider saw the second one came The rider jumped onto Balgoth knocking both men to the ground. "Albues protect Lisa!" The Black drake flew to the approaching Illian fighters. Valin then took a gauntleted fist and swang at the brigands face.

((Likewise Celice is a Falcoknight with over a decade of experience and a Lt. in the Ilian military, I would suggest staying away from her.))
Oh Elmine dammit all! Look at this mess. LOOK AT IT. Because of Valin's actions the bandits were starting to flee, not get 'distracted' as he probably hoped. It was a pain in the patookie. Still she wait for Celice's order which was sure to come soon, after all if they just waited they would let all the bandits escape. Lisa had a hard time thinking straight though, her thoughts blinded by annoyance and just a touch of rage. Her hands gripped the reins of Medusa so tightly she was sure her knuckles were gonna pop from right underneath her skin. She took a deep breath to calm herself, gotta try to stay positive. Sure he may have made a huge mistake, but it wasn't like he was giving away their position.
"Albues protect Lisa!"
OH ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?! She wanted to scream as the drake flew toward where the Ilian Pegasi had take position, exposing them to the world. Cecilia signed something to her in fury, and was punctuated by some less than ladylike gestures. The gist of which was "I'm holding you responsible for this Gauss." Which was just perfect, yeah. She was sure to get transferred to a different unit after this stunt. She just got here too, and while she hadn't made 'friends' she was... uh... Getting friendly with some folk?
There was no point in hiding anymore, so Celice gave the order to attack. So from the skies they descended, unwittingly upon the bandits who never knew they existed. It was a less than ideal situation though, the foot soldiers weren't in place yet so it was easy for them just escape the flying knights. If they got to the mountains the terrain would give the bandits the advantage as it was difficult to maneuver a pegasi in those jagged corridors, and for the most part this looked like they might get away if they were smart about it. Not all of them, no, that would be impossible. Even if they were the most well trained bandits this side of Sacae, the Ilians held the number and equipment and diversity advantage. They were all fighters who swung around their crude axes and held no armor aside from their clothing. Some people didn't even have that. While their axes made them effective to combat lances, the maneuverability of a pegasus knight could potentially overwhelm that.
They descended from the heavens like an instrument of judgment, these snow white horses and the maidens that sat atop, wielding their lances and blades as they sought to impart retribution upon these bandits. The foot soldiers were hurriedly rushing to catch up as well, but it might be a few minutes before they can, so they needed to halt their advance before they reached the mountains.

Valin fist slammed into Butorega's face. The brigand braced as the pain went through his jaw. Smart move through Butorega. Valin had realized that his lance would have been to slow and the Bandit would have countered it. By turning this into a ground battle with hand to hand combat he would invoke the Bandits pride and keep him distracted from the rest of the surroundings. There was also the added advantage of being a knight and thus receiving some wrestling training. On the ground he should have the advantage against the brawling bandit, however that assumption was false. Butorega himself had received the same martial training with the exception that his teacher was a blood thirsty fanatic.
Butorega swiftly returned the favor. He balled his fist up and stuck at Valin nose. Without wasting another moment he quickly rolled over switching positions with Valin. Butorega was now on top and Valin was on the bottom. Despite how pleasant it would be to simply pound in the Wyvern Knight face Butorega knew better. He took the opportunity to separate from the knight. If he would stay to brawl the fight would have turned into a dog fight. Both sides would have been bruised and bloody and the Illians would have simply walked in a stabbed him.
"Butorega", shouted Yawn grabbing the brigand’s attention. He pointed to the sky as Pegasus knights began to descend.
"Just as I though", spoke Butorega. "Sorry Red Eye", spoke Butorega. "I have no more time to waste on you, but don't worry I will be back for you head someday." With those words Butorega went into a full retreat. Yawn and his men watched his back as they moved to rejoin up with the rest of the unit.
"Hay form up into a wedge", shouted Butorega as he fastly approached Tiffany. Immediately the brigands began to shift their movements, but the new unites that were never under Butorega's command had trouble adjusting. It was a lack of universal training and the Illians did not wait for them to finish. The Pegasus knights flew in like a mighty wind.
The first one came in and attacked Butorega. It seemed that he had marked himself as the leader. Understandable as he was the one yelling out orders. Kill the head and the rest of the body would soon perish. That was obviously their way of thinking.
The first Pegasus came down with lightning speed. Her lance nearly hit the bandit, but Butorega quick reflexes allowed him to side step the blow. Before he could even move a second rider came flying by ready to strike at him. When she attacked Butorega rolled to his left. He dodged the second attack by a very slight margin. Then came a third and Butorega was quite tired of this. The third Pegasus knight came down with the same speed as the first and even better accuracy than the second. Butorega however had adjusted to their speed and was ready to take on the target.
As the Pegasus knight flew in Butorega employed the technique he used on the second. As the knight came in he rolled to the left side in a spinning motion. As his body twisted he pulled his axe along with the motion. As the Pegasus knight passed by Butorega Axe slammed into her chest. With the extra velocity of her mount and the brute strength of the bandit the knight could not help but be dismounted. Her armor cracked and her blood soon turned the snow a bright crimson. She was dead before she even hit the ground.
The first knight screamed something that Butorega did not understand. He knew it was a name, but could not tell exactly what the name was. The maiden charged in attempting to extract vengeance for her now fallen comrade, but as she descended Yawn took the opportunity to strike. The assassin quickly rushed in and slammed his shoulder into the rider as she prepared to make her pass. She fell from her mount and landed into the snow where she was quickly hacked to death by Yawn's men.
The fight was on and there were plenty of wings in the sky. Butorega knew that their only chance of getting out of this alive was to make it to the mountains. "We have to keep moving", shouted Butorega as he pushed forward.

Valin regained his footing and his lance and saw that the attack was on. "Butorega? Is that his real name?" He said to himself as he ran after the brigand. As the Illian riders descended Vaalin saw in oppertuneity to finish "Butorega". But before he could capitalize on the Bandits distraction Valin was cut off by one of his men. The man bullrushed at Valin knocking him over. The Bandit then swang his axe down on Valins chest but the blow didn't break through. Valin tripped the brute and rose up half hafting his lance. The bandit regained his footing and charged in again singing for Valin side. Just like the what Valin did to Balgoth in the village Valin took the blow and locked the mans arm in place. Valin then plunged his lance into the man three times and let him drop. It was then that he felt the surge of pain in his side. the ax had broken through his armor. "Need to think off a better tactic or thicker armor." The rider said said turning to chase after his prey.
Valin was greeted not by the sight of Belgoth but an armored figure wielding a lance. Valin had fought knights before but he knew he need Albues to survive. "Im not dieing here! now come at me!"

You see, the thing about Lisa you might need to know is that she's not exactly the best fighter in the world. In fact she was probably the most green knight on this squad, and to fight herself head on would probably spell the end for her. This clearly was not a situation that Lisa shouldn't get involved in head first, and she was smart enough to realize that the potential of a pegasus knight is far more then 'take spear and poke people with it' she hung back as the others attacked. She signaled something in the air, and one of the other knights responded. Celice in particular was waving her arms around, organizing their assault. "Victoria, Maddison, Serra. Triangle attack." Is what her hands signaled as the three pulled away, meanwhile Lisa flew away from the main brunt of the battle accompanied by one other pegasus knight. It wasn't too far away, but distant enough that a person on foot would have difficulty crossing at even half the speed she could fly on Medusa.
Where she was headed was to the ground soldiers who had only started moving after realizing the fighting had started. They were too far away, having planning on occupying the escape route to capture the bandits in a pincer. They moved as swiftly as they could, but Lisa knew that if she assisted that they could have an advantage. Her pegasus flew low to the ground and whistled loudly. "Archers, to me!" She had a plan. There were only two of them, but that's all they really needed to turn the tide of a battle like this. One archer took a seat on Medusa with Lisa, a somewhat gruff man who's name completely escapes her. The other joined the second pegasus knight that accompanied her, and while Medusa wasn't thrilled to have a man riding her, she obeyed all the same.
The other soldiers rushed as quickly as they could while the two pegasus riders ferrying archers took to the air and flew back to the battle, but didn't enter the actual frey themselves. From a distance Clair could see a woman die by a bandit's axe, something that was never a pleasure to see. She was right to stay away, they all held seniority on her. If they were falling, she held no chance. "Fire down on the bandits." Lisa said to the wind to the man behind her, he grunted in response. Probably nodded too, but she couldn't see. She steered the flying steed to a nearby point of natural high-land, atop a nearby hill about halfway between the point where Valin stupidly began and the mountainous range they were quickly retreating to. She dropped the archer off, and he wasted no time notching an arrow and letting it fly, piercing some bandit in the chest.
Not too far away, the other archer was also deposited in another point of natural high ground. The woman in turn also began to rain down arrows upon the bandits, and while hers did not slay one in a single stroke some axe wielding man was pierced right in the arm. She could see the corpse on one knight laying on the ground in a scene of blood red snow, while she knew another was finished as well with the lone pegasus in the sky flying away. She did not curse the bandits though, no, getting mad at a bandit for being scum is like being mad at a snake for biting. It was all they knew, all they could do, and you should never expecting anything different.
Somewhere she heard the thick fleshy squelching of blood and death, as a woman fell right out of the sky as a flying axe had been tossed right into her face. Falling yards above and falling to the ground with a sickening crunch. The bandit who tossed it had no time to savor his victory as Cecilia swooped down like a reaper of death, dealing death with her silvery blade. Wasting no time, she tossed a javelin from her back into the air. It flew swiftly, cutting through the sky as it collided with a tossed axe mid-air and the two tossed weapons clang useless in the snow. Lisa knew she couldn't just sit there and watch the battle as it unfolded, but she couldn't fight these people on her own. She took to the sky once more, staying ever aware of flying axes.
The footsoldiers were almost here by now, the bandits would be overwhelmed any minute now. They faired well against the pegasus knights, but they couldn't face a whole squad of soldiers and mercenaries, especially with a pair of archers firing down at them from above.

"Damn it there is to many of them", spoke Butorega as he cut down another one of the mounted warriors. The troop was almost to the mountain range, but the enemy hampered them at every move.
"Captain", shouted Faith as she stabbed one of the flying mounts. The rider fell to the ground and was quickly dispatched by Bones. "Ground troops are approaching from the rear. Faith was the closest to the mountains and had a clear view of the battle field."
"There seems to be a lot of them", spoke Bones as an arrow slammed into his chest. The burly brigand toppled over for a moment from the pain, but rose back up. He broke the head from the shaft of the arrow and began to quickly move once more toward the mountain, but his pace was now slower.
Infantry thought Butorega as jumped in to help Boris. Together the duo was able to knock off another knight and continue their movement toward the mountain range. "Ok", spoke Butorega as he took a look around. He had to think quick or the entire group would be annihilated.
"Yaw...", started Butorega as an arrow flew right into his arm. The projectile pierced his bicep and ended his order before it came.
"Here" shouted Boras as he threw Butorega his hand axe. As Butorega caught the axe three Pegasus knights suddenly descended and stabbed Boras at once.
"Boras", shouted Butorega as he threw the hand axe with all his might. He hit the archer clean in the neck ending one of the threats. "Yawn", she shouted grabbing the attention of the Assassin.
"What", he spoke as an arrow flew by his head. Butorega needed to say no more as Yawn understood what he meant. "Dominick", spoke Yawn as he pointed toward the archer. The bandit pulled back on his arm and there his axe. The axe however grazed the archer and did not kill him. However it was enough to spook the man.
"Made it", spoke Bones as he reached the rocky mountain side. He was the first to reach this point. Immediately he began searching for a marker. He found what he was looking for in the form of a orange scarf waving in the wind.
"Over here", shouted Faith as she and bones moved toward the scarf in front of a cave.
"Good", spoke Butorega as he and the rest of the brigands now had their barring. Butorega turned and saw Tiffany guarding the rear.
“Damn fool”, spoke Butorega as he began to work his way back toward Tiffany. He knew why she stood behind to guard the rear. It was her nature. She was a protective person despite her gigantic size.
“We meet at last Valin”, spoke Tiffany as she towered over the man. Her eyes were barely visible through her steel helmet and every part of her body was covered with armor. In her left hand she held a massive shield and in her right was a iron lance that was adjusted to her size giving the spear extra length. “You are the one who killed Nobunaga and Lander. And to make it worse you attempted to take the life of our captain. You I shall not forgive,” spoke the maiden as she readied her shield and lance.
Tiffany however did not give Valin the curtsy of first move. She charged forward with her shield lifted. Her spear struck from behind the shield giving the maiden a perfect combination of attack and defense.
“Butorega”, spoke Yawn as the brigand passed him.
“Don’t worry about me”, spoke Butorega. “Get the rest of the men to the cave. I have to back up Tiffany.”
“No”, spoke Yawn catching Butorega off guard. The shock was enough to make the brigand stop.
“What”, he responded Butorega as he turned around to face Yawn. Then in that moment two of Yawns men grabbed one of Butorega arms.
“Leave the rear guard to me”, spoke Yawn as he motion his men to move up ahead. “It is my fault we got in this situation and besides you have an injured arm.”
“Let me go damn it”, shouted Butorega as the two burly men easily dragged him up the slope.
“Dominick you are with me”, spoke Yawn as his axe wielding second joined him in the defense. The archer once again let loose an arrow, but the quick footed assassin saw it coming. He dodged the projectile and allowed his second to return the favor with his axe. The axe flew through the air and hit the man in the shoulder. It did not kill the man, but it stopped his arrows for now. The ground troops were moving in quickly. Yawn knew that they needed to move.

Valin was taken aback by the Knights voice it sounded almost like a womans. The knights lance skimmed across Valins left pauldron taking a small chuck out of it. Valin thrusted his lance but it was deflected by the "womans" heavy shield. The giant thrust its lance again piercing Valins chestplate but it was a shallow wound. Valin jumped back sliding in the snow a foot. Valin waited for the next blow and rolled under it. He then double handed his lance and struck but to no avail.
The giant swung around smacking the rider in the face with it shield. The pain force Valin on the defensive and he dodged the next three attacks with no counter. He the feinted right and smash his pummel into the knights helmet caving it in alittle. The Valin let the knight take off its helm before attacking again. "You are a woman!" Valin said with a huge sense of shock. This comment didn't indear him to her.
The female picked up her attack tempo and all Valin could do was dodge and deflect. I can't do this alone. Valin thought as he was pushed further from Balgoth. Danm it! ALBUS COME!

Post by Orcleous on Nov 5, 2013 20:59:33 GMT -6
It had been three weeks since Orcleous had left Bern and Malic had kept a keen eye on the lad. Malic unite was suppose to meet up with three other commanders of the Coalition and attacke an Illian village, but a sudden snow storm had caused them to be delayed. Malic unite had completely missed the raid. Malic knew he needed to report in to their base in the area and see if the raid was complete. If he and his men were lucky they could help search the town for loot or aid in transportation of gold. He just wanted to do something for the cause as he and his men had missed the actual fighting.
It was to Malic great surprise however that his unite happened to come across a scene of battle. It looked as if the raiding party was being assaulted by an Illian counter assault. The actual number of unites on the illian side was unclear to Malic, but he could tell that the raiders were in bad shape.
"Ok men", shouted Malic as he turned to his six unites. He had an archer, two calvalirs, a nomad, and a armored knight. Last was Orcleous the novice. "We are going to attack the enemies flank and by some time for the raid party to escape into the mountains."
"Attack the flank", spoke Orcleous as he stared at the Illian forces. "What good is that going to do. Even if we join in they still outnumber us at least two to one."
"Where you not the one who said that you be better off dead", spoke Malic as he looked at the young novice. "Well here is your chance to die, and besides you still owe Bern six battles for that armor you stole."
An angered expression crossed Orcleous face. He did not like the idea of being tied to these people. It was not that he hated their cause, or like the Ilians. It was the fact that this man, a stranger, had control over his life.
"Come on Boy we are wasting time", spoke the knight as he jumped on the back of one of the horses. The cavalier next to him motion for Orcleous to join, and the young man was forced to follow."
"Make your first strike count", spoke Malic as he mounted he great steed. Orcleous had not realized it before, but Malic was in fact a great knight. It would make sense how he could train every type of unite in the court yard. The archer mounted behind him and the nomad stringed his bow. "Hit them hard", shouted Malic as he sent his horse into a full gallop.
"For Bern", screamed Malic as his riders slammed into the left flank of the Ilian assault party. The Illians did not see the attack coming as the mounted brigands advance was coved by the snow. As soon as the horses reached the battle line Orcleous and the other tag along were dismounted. The knight and archer rushed into battle as Orcleous simply stared at the carnage. This was his first battle. Though he had seen the aftermath of an attack he had never seen an actual fight. The white snow was painted crimson and blood flowed from both the Ilians and the bandits.

There was something about mysterious caves that attracted Cefia's attention. Perhaps it was the whole escapade with Derrick that made her feel quite at home with resting in them. It turns out most caves aren't armed with deadly giant scaled scorpions. So as she nestled her little warm fire with one hand, and flipping another page of her book in the other, she was content. Sure she had ended up in Ilia again, but it was on her own terms this time. Her experiences taught her to enjoy the simpler things in life. She even craved for a cup of tea right about now...if not for the shouting.
It was a shame the noise was so loud as she was in the middle of a paragraph. It was hardly a stopping point and so she refused to look over. Instead, she dropped her poker and grabbed her steel axe. She had gotten used to the weight of carrying three weapons around, actually she was in the market for another. She didn't think it was necessary to arm herself with the even larger dragon axe of hers.
Her weapons had been sharpened recently and the light from the reflecting off of it, showed as much. She must have looked a tad silly leaning on the wall, axe in one hand and a book in another. As she finished the paragraph and taking note of the page, she slammed the book shut by pinching her fingers. She had heard shouting, but now that she was actually paying attention, she could swear she heard the sound of weapons clashing outside. Soon she got a good look of people coming deeper into the cave. Her eyes were inquisitive though she remained silent. Actions spoke louder than words and she wondered if these people were looking for a fight or were they reasonable?

"Who the hell", spoke Bones, but the sharp pain from the arrow head still in his chest shut him up. Faith was not far behind. She took a single look at the Berserker and determined she was not an enemy. If she was bones would have already been dead.
"Doesn’t matter", spoke Faith as she pushed Bones against the wall. She turned to take a look at the entrance to the cave to make sure no enemies were coming through. "Just hold still you big lunk", spoke the mercenary as she pulled a knife from her boot. She reached into her back pocket and pulled out a bottle of rum, a habit she had picked up from Butorega, and pored the liquor on the blade. "This is going to hurt", she spoke as she looked into the Bandits eyes.
"Just hurry up and do it", spoke Bones as he stuck the wooden axe handle in his mouth. Without wasting another moment Faith stabbed the knife into Bones chest parallel to the stuck arrow head. She carved out the iron head and threw it on the ground. Immediately blood began to pour out from the wound. It took all the strength in Bones body not to move. The sharp pain was almost enough to make him pass out.
"Ok drink this", spoke Faith as she gave the burly man a vulnerary. She immediately began to apply pressure to the wound to stop the bleeding as the vulnerary did its work.

Meanwhile
As the two burly men pulled Butorega toward the cave their attention was grabbed by the sight of reinforcements slamming into the Illian left flank. Immediately the Illians went into chaos for a moment. The shock of being attacked on their flank has sent their men into a panic. The Illians however were not the only ones surprised by the attack. The two brigands were caught off guard as well. Their focus was no longer on Butorega and that was all the brigand needed.
Butorega swiftly jerked his arm free from the first man and used his free arm to break the hold of the second.
"Hay", spoke the two brigands, but it was too late Butorega was free and was ready to use his axe if he had to.
"Retreat to the cave", he spoke. "We don't have time to waste on Yawn's stupid orders." With those words Butorega charged back down the hill. The two brigands knew it would be impossible to catch up with him now, or let alone drag him back up the hill. Instead they followed his orders and made for the cave. It was best if somebody guarded it in case the Illian Pegasus tried to block the escape route.
With a mighty battle cry Butorega rejoined the fray. He rushed in and slashed an Illian soldier. The infantry had arrived and the battle was starting to get bloody. Butorega however still had the same objective as when he first started, and that was to get his men out alive. That included the female members as well especially Tiffany.
"Tiffany", shouted Butorega as he rushed toward her position. As she turned to respond to his call Butorega rushed past her and began to attack Valin.
"Captain", she spoke confused by the fact he was here.
"No time", spoke the brigand. "Tiffany this is an order. Fall back to the cave and protect the entrance. You are the slowest moving unite on the field. I need you out of here now", shouted Butorega as he took a swing at Valin.
"... Fine", spoke Tiffany as she began to withdraw. "Don't give him any openings", spoke the maiden as she began to move up the hill.

Valin narrowly dodged the axe creating a long gash along his chestplate. He braced next blow when the daylight disappeared. Albues rushed past Balgoth buffeting him its wings and grabbing the rider. Valin climbed onto his mounts back and readied lance for the charge.
"Nether of us are going to let anyone else kill the other are we! Fine let this dance continue! But first which is you name truly yours?! Balgoth Or Butorega?!" Valin waited for a second but saw the battle unfolding and he knew he had no time to spare. "It matters little! Prepare!" Valin charged forward and waited to pass the brigand to attack with a stab behind.
