"Oh look, the horse showed up. And her steed. You know, you complain an awful lot for a battle-hardened pegasus rider that you pretend to be. At least this and at least that. You make everything sound like it is so difficult for you. Welcome to Ilia," Aurek said in his typical gruff manner. He was sick of playing with the female. She wasn't of much interest anymore. The boy was. So turning his attention to the little guy, he responded. "I'm not a mister. I'm Aurek. I don't like titles unless you call me master or something like that. You know what? Stick with Aurek. Master sounds like I'm responsible for you. That's not happening." Satisfied, Aurek turned back to the bandits. They were almost to the mercenaries.
Aurek just stood there and watched. There was no need to rush in just yet. And he wanted to gauge how good the mercenaries were. It was axes versus swords mostly. Should have been an easy battle. The three of them all had lances anyway. It would have been much more effective to fight the mercenaries. Aurek smiled devilishly at the thought. Assisting the bandits? Fun for a little but overall a waste of time. Plus, it would probably add headaches. No, he was interested in just capturing a bandit. Question the idiot then kill him. Simple and to the point.
The mercenaries and bandits clashed. Each side gave no quarter. The bandits had larger numbers but the mercenaries were better equipped despite their love for oversized swords. Aurek couldn't help but speculate they were compensating for something. The other two could rush in, but Aurek wasn't going to waste his time with this fight. He would just move in and get what he wanted at the end.

"And you speak a lot for someone far past their prime." The haughty pegasus knight will sniff at Aurek with quite palatable indignation. And to say something like Ilia was new to her?! This was her home! She grew up in the blinding snow, the months of darkness, and all the pretty flying horsies! How rude. And, it's not much like she's in the mood for playing with Aurek, because he still smells funny. Which Celestine would point out were she not the most mature of all pegasususususus knights.
And as soon as the battle was met, the Pegasus knight would let out quite the ferocious battle cry and flourish her lance into the air as if she were in a play or something equally awful. And then she's off! Her steed flapping it's wings and kicking into the air as it sends a heavy bellow of the white powder directly at Aurek, who may well be able to avoid the torrent of nice, cold, Ilian snow.
During the onslaught the pegasus knight can be seen dipping in and out of the hazy clouds above them, light glinting off her silver armor and the head of her spear as she swoops down, and then seemingly always pulls up to regain altitude in a hawk like fashion as she parses out for her targets. And, if fate has only seen it fit to ruin Aurek's plans, it looks like the pegasus knight is currently angling in on the last straggling survivor that's trying to pick his way towards safety back where he had come from! It seems like Aurek may need to act if he wants his informant unperforated by the Peggy.

Before he knew it, the end came nigh. And the stupid female was going to ruin a source for information. Just another reason to hate those hair-brained flying horse riders. "Stop!" he shouted. He knew he wasn't going to make it in time. Step, pivot, swing, release. Aurek sent his shield flying like a disc. CAPTAIN ILIA! Aurek heard somewhere in the back of his head. Somehow, luck smiled down on Aurek as his shield collided into the back of the bandit, sending the man sprawling in the snow and narrowly missing a new breathing hole, courtesy of the flying fool. The man's spine was probably broken, but as long as he was alive, Aurek was content. Covering the man, Aurek gave his warning. "Any of you try to kill this man, you die." Looking down at his prey, Aurek smiled when he saw the man was unconscious. Probably from the pain of having his back broken. Picking up his shield from the prone form, Aurek called out to Shugo. "Hey boy! Help me drag this guy to someplace quiet where we can have a nice chat." The smile Aurek displayed as he said this was anything but nice. Grabbing an arm, Aurek began dragging the broken man toward the garbage dump. It was a quiet place, and no one was likely to disturb them there.

Shugo despite being young was very wise for his age. When the battle broke out he stayed back and observed the battle mainly from the rear. He knew better than to simply charge in. He did however take time out to notice the technique of all the spear wielding warriors. Finally an opening presented itself when one of the brigands got separated from the main group and began to run for a nearby street.
“Now I have my target”, spoke Shugo as he rushed in. The young boy aimed to stab the brigand in his thigh muscle. He would take out the brigands leg muscle and then allow him to be captured for questioning. The young boy however tripped over a stone and his spears stabbed the bandit too low. Blood began to pour out from the man’s wound at an alarming speed. It was not long before the bandit was dead.
“Curses”, spoke Shugo as he turned back toward Aurek.
