Butorega drew Victor blade and from his back and stabbed it into the ground in front of where victor was standing. “One more thing”, spoke the brigand as he walked in front of the assassin. Before he could finish he heard an echo coming down the hall. So that is the boss thought Butorega as the steps grew closer. Once he arrived the advantage would lie with the raiders. Butorega knew better than to simply let that happen. He turned toward the assassin and began to unstrap his helm. He made sure to shield his face from the assassin as he did so.
“Only one shot”, murmured Butorega. He knew better than to simply fight an assassin up straight. His blade was quick and his sword deadly. If Butorega was to face him in a straight battle he was not sure he could win. He could deal the archer and the knights, but the assassin had to be put down and quickly. “Do me a favor and catch”, spoke the brigand as he tossed his helmet toward the assassin face. The steel helm blocked the man’s view, but as Butorega expected the assassin dodged the helmet. However Butorega knew better than to attack with a vertical strike. The man would simply dodge to the left or right and Butorega would be exposed to his blade. The brigand attacked with a horizontal slash. His axe cut through the air forcing the assassin to jump backwards. This was right were Butorega wanted him. Victor and his sword were right behind him. It was the perfect moment for a attack from behind. He just prayed the mercenary would react fast enough.

Victor would begin to punder what Butorega was planning until he heard him say after placing the iron sword infront of him, "Only one shot". After breaking free of the rope that somewhat bound him, he heard the heavy steel helmet hitting the ground. THe green eyes looked up to see the brigand making the assassin move closer and closer to himself. Taking the sword into his hands, he'd take a step torwards and swing his sword with all his might at the foe before him who was still unaware of the events that was going to take place.
Butorega was watching it as it did unravel. The assassin was about to go for a strike at the brigand until his body froze in time. Victor's blade was half way through the spine of the masked killer and would hear the Mercenary say to him. "When you plan on killing someone, you finish the job right there and then. That was your mistake." Taking his heavy boot, he'd kick the assassin off his sword where his body flopped to the ground. His arms able to move, but his legs unable to. Panic was struck on his face as Victor came up to him and swung at the throat. The assassin tried to stop his bleeding throat as he coughed up blood and some what flopped around. The knights moved in closer, but kept their distance from the brigand and the Mercenary. As Victor was about to charge in at them, an arrow shot past him to try and keep the two fighters back to buy some time for the leader to show up. At this time the loud sounds were now more frequent as if it was running down the tunnels.
"Butorega, we need to finish this grouping off before their boss shows up. How do you want to handle this?"

“Agreed”, shouted Butorega as he charged in toward the first knight. As he threw his body forward he let out a blood chilling roar that echoed through the mine. The knight retaliated by striking forward with his lance, but the brigand had his number. As the knight thrusted his lance forward the brigand jumped into the air dodging the incoming attack. His feet landed on the knight’s chest knocking the man over as Butorega brought down his axe. Blood filled the air as Butorega’s iron axe pieced threw the knight helm.
“Victor take out the archer”, shouted Butorega as he charged the other knight.

Victor looked up at the archer who was shocked at what was going on saw the look Victor was giving. An evil smile had crept onto his face as he began to make his move now. With the opening that Butorega had made, Victor was able to get to him much faster. Under the archer now, Victor would begin to bash at the beam that was the most dry rotted. With one hit, the sword was already half way through it and the sounds of the strain was heard. "TIMMMMMMBER!" With the falling of the beam, so did the archer. Landing on his left leg that snapped backwards. Grabbing for his bow, he'd be able to get off one shot which was no where close to hitting anything. Victor lifted up his blade while the archer tried to use his bow to shield from the strike. THe sound of the bow snapping in two echoed now and the bloody scream of the archer screeched out. Since he was now behind the remaining two knights, he decided he'd help Butorega out.
The two figures slammed into each other with the Brigand and the Knight. The third knight was trying to get into postion with his lance to meet Butorega. As he was about to thrust the iron lance forwards, Victor would come up to him at full sprint and topple him over using his sword as a shield to absorb most of the shock of the ram. The knight rolled a few times and tried to get up, but the knight would fail as Victor's blade would lay resting halfway through the Knight's neck, seperating the spine from the skull. The body went limp and victor turned to look at how Butorega was doing, but his eyes would fall upon a new enemy who had just appeared into this opening of the mine. Standing at the entrance, sat a Paladin with a Steel lance and steel sword ready to be used. "Butorega....I think things might have just become alittle more...problematic." As Victor finished saying his sentence, a healer came around from behind the Paladin along with a Myromidom.

The last knight rushed in to stab Butorega. The brigand moved to dodge the incoming attack, but the lance slash the outside of his right arm. “Bastard”, spoke Butorega as he rushed in, but the knight was not going to give him an easy victory. As the brigand moved in the knight swung his shield forcing Butorega to jump backwards. He stabbed forward again, but this time Butorega was able to dodge it fully. The brigand rushed in once more and like before the knight swung his shield, but this time Buotrega did not retreat.
Butorega quickly slammed the back of his fore arm of his left arm against the flat of the knight shield. A quick jolt of pain ran through the brigands arm as it meet with the steel of the knight’s shield. However Butorega was determined and powered threw the pain. He pressed forward pushing the knight back and over the edge of the pit where the civilians were being held. A loud boom filled the air as the knight fell on his back amongst the civilians. “Finish him off for me”, spoke Butorega as he threw one man his murder knife, and like ants they rushed the armored man. Two people grabbed his arms and two people grabbed his legs. Another pulled off his helm and the man stabbed the blade into his neck.
Butorega turned to see the paladin standing in the entryway. “I think things just became problematic”, spoke Victor.
Butorega looked the man over for a moment. “I think so as well”, spoke Buotrega. “Victor”, spoke Butorega as he came up with a plan. “I will distract him while you take care of the myrmidon. I don’t do so well with the speed type swordsmen. Once he is dead come and aid me as quickly as you can.”
“So you are the boss”, spoke Butorega as he walked in front of Victor.

Victor nodded his head and moved around Butorega to face his new foe. The Myrmidon over heard what the Brigand said and decided to charge after him. As he came into striking range, Victor spun with his sword fully out and swatted the swordsmen away from his allie. Leaping to the side, the myrmidon was now forced to fight the Mercenary. There blades clashed amongest the two moving away from the rest. THe sounds of the iron swords screeched throughout the mine shafts leaving the Paladin and the cleric alone with Butorega.
The Paladin moved forward a bit, so him and his horse blocked any attacks going towards the cleric. The person on the horse answered back. "Yes I am, and I want to know who killed my son at the gates of the Village!" His steel sword was now unsheathed as he prepared to charge at Butorega in a moments notice. The healer lifted up his staff and got ready to heal his leader of any wounds that would be coming upon him. "Either answer me, move out of the way or I'll run your through. Choose your poison Runt"

“If you mean the little runt at the gate then that would be me”, spoke Butorega. “Just to let you know he squealed like a pig as I slit open his throat. Holding his neck he begged for mercy. Instead I simiiply let him bleed out. No finer death for a raider.” The brigand took a moment to analyze the terrain while he was talking. The mine was not his ideal place to fight. The ground was too stable and the lack of room would make it hard for him to dodge. However it also meant moving around on a horse would be difficult. Sure his opponent had the advantage of movement and weaponry, but Butorega had space on his side. “By the way I am no runt. I am Butorega a son of Bern and your grim reaper.”
With those words Butorega charged, a surprising move for a man with no mount. He paladin charged forward atop his horse favoring Butorega’s right side. It was always easier to swing a sword from that position, and Buotrega knew it. Just before the horseman made his pass Butorega quickly rolled to the right. The hooves of the horse barely missed the brigand as the paladin made a pass. Normally one would think to charge the healer and take him out while his defense was away. However Butorega knew better. The moment he stopped giving the paladin his full attention would be the moment he died.
Butorega quickly jumped into the crowd of people that had helped him defeat the knight before. However the paladin’s blade was not far behind. His sword cut through the flesh of some poor man Butorega hid behind. The courage the people had displayed when taking out the knight was now completely gone. “Excuse me”, spoke Butorega as he grabbed the knights’s lance from a man. The brigand quickly turned around and trusted the spear forward. He made sure to follow the movements he had picked up from Aurek .

Lisa was able to get the children to the nearest Village at the base of the Mountain. Since she wasn't wearing her armor, she made the mad dash back to the village that she was staying. An hour went by for her as the battle started between Butorega, the Paladin, Victor and the Myrmidon. The snow was now falling slower as the storm was easing up. Wiping her nose with her long slevee, she wouldn't let the cold affect her. Lisa finally reached the village and saw that it was halfway gone in the flames. Racing to Victor's house, she broke the door down and saw her armor sitting on it's armor display. Quickly suiting up, she saw the flames was alot closer now. As the final strap was fasten, she ran out of their and could feel the heat emineating from the inferno near her. Shaking her head, she'd say to herself. "This is a shame, it was such a peaceful place too. Gotta see if the guys need help." She ran out of the death village and into the darkness she went for the tunnels.
Mean while.
The Paladin held the horse back to make it stop. The horse was out of the reach of the lance in the brigand's hand. But as Butorega moved, so did the Paladin. The Paladin sheathed his sword and took out his Steel lance. The horse turned side ways a bit to avoid one of the attacks from the Brigand and he would take the tip of the spear and slice the hand of Butorega. The sounds of someone now running in the tunnel was heard and now the person was see able. A thin Recruit in Crimson red armor came into the lighting of the room as the helmet covered the person's head to mask the face. Paladin quickly doubled back as he thought it was back up to give some support.

“crap”, spoke Butorega as the paladin cut his hand with his spear. The saturation turned from bad to worse. Butorega heard the steps and looked back at the figure coming down the tunnel. For a moment he panicked, but soon took notice to the girl, but he hid it from his face.
Butorega quickly shifted the spear to his right hand and threw it towards the paladin with all his might. The spear was easily dodged, but Butorega used to opening it created to rush in. The paladin stabbed forward with his spear, but Butorega was able to dodge to the right of his horse. The brigand drew his axe and swung at the legs of the beast hoping to take it down.

With an easy tug, the horse lifted it's front up into the air nearly touching the top of the room. The axe missed the hoof by an inch. As the Brigand was retracting from his attack, the hoofs were now coming down towards Butorega's shoulders. Normally an easy move to avoid with careful timing. But something would soon throw this attack off. An Iron lance came piercing through the gaps of the horses armor on the side. Digging deep into it. Lisa had ran with the lance aimed at the Paladin. Seeing his horse now falling to it's side, his move would be a quick swing at Lisa and yell at her. "How dare you strike your leader!" The steel lance's tip slice the helmet off her head making her go with the blow, so it would hide her face for the time being. Her crimson red hair fell down to her shoulders. Standing back up fully, she'd look at the paladin as he pushed his now dying horse off his right leg who now stood up fully with his steel lance in hand.
Like a caged beast, he had the lance aimed forward, slicing at anyone who got near him. His big shield which covered most of his body except for his head and shins was up to blcok any attacks. Lifting up her own lance, she'd look at Butorega to see if he was going to attack first or not. When there seemed to be a gap, she quickly kicked one of the dead Knight's shield at his the Paladin's feet. Since he was heavily armored up, he wouldn't be able to jump over it. Quickly stopping it with his left foot, she'd see her chance to attack. Running at full speed, she aimed her lance at his shield. Her Iron lance hit with enough force to open his defense, but left her prey for his attack. His lance came through her left shoulder, and swung her to the right of him making her fly and hitting the cold stone wall of the mine. Hitting the ground hard, Butorega would see that the Paladin was now open for an attack.

Butorega took a deep breath as he charged in. This was his chance, though he had wished to have created the opening without endangering pipsqueak, but beggers could not be choosers. Butorega rushed in clearing the shield with ease. He knew he had to make this blow count as the healer was somewhere on the side ready to heal the paladin. With all his might Butorega brought down his axe. The axe head slammed into the thin strip of steel that formed the paladin’s neck guard. Butorega had chosen this point well as his other vital points were covered with much thicker armor, and even if he did not kill the paladin outright he could still causes ill reparable damage.
Blood soon turned Butorega’s axe crimson, but the brigand was not completely sure if the paladin was dead. He drew his axe back once more and swung again. For Butorega it was better to be safe than to be sorry.

The Brigand's axe had made a slight cut into the Paladin's neck, to whom he was now growling at. As the axe was coming for the second time, it would be met with his massive shield. The blade bounced off the shield and Butorega saw the steel lance coming back up for another strike at him.
Lisa slowly stood up and regained herself as she grabbed not only her lance, but one of the dead knight's lance as well. Quickly running at the Paladin, she rammed her spear into the foot of the Paladin where he screamed out loud from the pain. Instead of thrusting his lance at Butorega, he flaied the lance at Lisa, who had her new Iron lance up and blocked the attack. Made her skid alittle, but she wasn't out of the fight. She thrusted her lance into the waist line of the foe that was facing them both and holding on. Blood poured out of his wounds as it stained the stone flooring below them. The leader of the raiders shield bashed Butorega back a few feet and slowly pulled out the lance that was sticking out of his right foot. Anger filled his eyes as he now looked at Lisa yelling at her. "You little wench, you shall pay for that with your life!" He'd somewhat charge at her with shield and lance up. Backing up, her lance was now up as well.
The healer would lift up his staff and heal the leader of his wounds. Her eyes saw that the healer was very close by, so she decided on her next action and set it in motion. The paladin thrusted his lance at her again, but this time he would miss as she would run out of his range towards the healer. The tip of her lance was now aiming right at the healer, then a blood curling scream echoed out through the cave. Her lance was now half way through the healers shoulder. Looking at the healer, she caught a look from him that was looking behind her. With all her strenght, she quickly swung the healer around with her lance and it was perfect timing because now the Steel lance of the Paladin was now sticking through the chest of the Healer. The staff fell out of his hands and bounced off the ground. The battle was now even more heated.

“That one hurt”, spoke Butorega as he pulled himself off the ground. The brigand was now angry. His rage increased even more as the healer healed all the damage done by their assault. Very annoying thought Butorega, but it seemed the girl had taken care of that problem. Butorega eyes widen as he saw the paladin moving in to take her out from behind. “No you don’t”, spoke Butorega as he charged back into the fight. However the brigand was a little too far away. The paladin had already began thrusting his lance by the time Butorega reached their position.
Screams filled the air as the paladin stabbed his own man. The very sight brought a bit of delight to the Brigand as Lisa pulled off a perfect counter. “Good job pipsqueak”, spoke Butorega as his axe descended into the paladin’s shoulder from behind. Butorega took full advantage of every opening. He made sure to hit the shoulder that held his shield. The brigand hoped to disable that arm and keep him from using his shield to defend.

The axe came crashing down onto the shoulder of the paladin. It pierced into his shoulder and pinching the metal from the pauldron into the flesh of the leader. A scream bellowed out from underneath the helmet. Dropping the lance, he'd take out his Steel sword and go off the deep end and begin to slash and chop at the brigand, making him move backwards closer to the wall. The healer's body hit the ground and Lisa forced her lance back out with a heavy tug. Once it was free, she looked at the two and saw what was going on. The person she was fighting along side was ever so close to the rock walling of the mine.
With lance in hand, she charged in since she had the advantage now. She had the striking distance now. Butorega's back was now at the wall and the Paladin was about to strike him until the brigand felt the warm blood splattering his face from the Paladin's right side. At observing, he could see the tip of the Iron lance had pierced the back plate and the front plate. Anger was now on the face of the paladin.
She let go of the lance as he turned around and faced her. taking steps back quickly, the paladin made his own charge at her. Not seeing where she was going, she tripped over the last Knight that Butorega had killed. Quickly feeling for a weapon, there was none. But one of the town's men threw to her the paladin's steel lance. Quickly lifting the tip up, the paladin also didn't take notice to the bodies around and tripped over the archers body. Falling down, his body collided with the lance as his sword stabbed her old wound from earlier. Letting out a painful scream as the paladin tried to get off her to try and finish her. HIs lance was piercing through his stomach.
