“Bastard”, spoke Butorega as the paladin once again turned toward Lisa. It was good that he was no longer being pressed, but to turn his back on Butorega, not once, but twice. The brigand had enough of this Paladin and his rudeness. How dare he turn his back to Butorega. Butorega was a well trained brigand and took great pride in being a menacing opponent. Butorega charged forward as the paladin chased the maiden. The paladin tripped and fell upon the spear even so he was still moving.
“Get off her”, shouted Butorega as he rushed over to where the man was. The brigand grabbed him by the neck and his good right arm and threw him to the side. Butorega then redrew his axe and moved in to finish the job. He stepped on the man’s chest preventing him from moving and ripped off his helmet. Butorega wanted to be sure that he was dead and he was not going to risk the helmet blocking his blow. Butorega raised his iron axe in the air and brought it down with all his might. The axe hit its mark and the paladin was no more.
Butorega stopped for a moment and turned toward Lisa. “You ok pipsqueak”, he asked knowing full well she wasn’t.

The paladin's body went into a massive twitching frenzy for a few seconds then stopped. Lisa was still laying on the ground while Butorega went bezerk on the enemy. Her chest plate caved in a bit hugging her body even more now, making it harder to breath. She took her right hand and slowly pulled the sword out with her strenght she still had left. The steel sword popped out of the ground with her biting her lip. Lisa took it and threw it randomly pissed off now. She sat up and undid the straps to her chest plate so she could breath. Lisa was somewhat thankful that she still had her black shirt on since she had heard stories of some female warriors not wearing their's and had to ditch their armor.
After a minute of trying to get the bloody thing off her, the chest plate fell off and hit the ground. Taking in a deep breath, and exhaled harshly. Her eyes looked at her wounds on her left shoulder. It was pretty tender, but both weapons didn't hit any bone or tendins. She looked at the steel lance which was now snapped in half. She used the shaft to help herself up to stand up. That too was thrown randomly. Butorega could see the wounds clear as day as it had ripped the shirt's shoulder area. Blood covered most of her shirt and torso as she would take a deep breath to calm herself down. Picking up her Iron lance which was a few feet away from the two of them, she would then reply back to the question the brigand had asked her with a hint of sarcasim. "Yeah, Just dandy right now."
Walking over towards the knights', she would begin to examin the chest plates of theirs to see which one would be more suitable for her to replace her's with. Finally she found one that was just right for her. Kneeling down, she undid the leather straps and yanked it off him, then rolled the body over to get the back piece as well. Taking the armor to the rock face, she'd put the back piece on her own back and leaned it against the wall while placing the chest plate on her torso. A few moments went by and she had the armor on fully.

“We probably need to catch up with Sword, I mean Victor”, spoke Butorega. “However we need to deal with that wound first.” Butorega reached into his back pocket, but soon realized that his usual supplies were gone. “What why is the rum gone”, spoke Butorega out loud before he realized he gave it to Victor earlier. “Hold on a second”, spoke the brigand as he opened his other pouch. He pulled out a vulnerary and walked over to Lisa.
“Let me see your arm”, spoke Butorega while he gently extended it himself. He pulled out the vulnerary and began to apply it to the wound. “It is going to sting”, spoke Butorega. As he finished he took another look around the cave to see if there was any sight of Victor. “Hay I don’t know about you all, but I would not simply sit here in this mine”, spoke Butorega as he walked up to the civilians.

Lisa winced alittle bit as the Vulnerary was applied onto her shoulder. As Butorega spoke to the towns people, she ripped her left arm slevee and used it to bandage what was left of the wound. THe people stared at Butorega, affraid of the massive man. Even though he just saved their lives, he was still from outside the village. So lisa walked towards the group and spoke up. "Everyone, we need to get out of the mine and to the village at the bottom of the Mountain. Most of the children was escorted there by me. You all know me as the female Victor taken in. So come on, lets get going so you all can be safe. Don't worry, the way is cleared of any bandits and raiders."
The group of people began to speak to one another and began to make their way out of the mine. Turning back to Butorega, she would then say to him. "Yeah, good idea. Victor must not be far from here. But watch out in this mine when we are searching for him. Some of the beams are ready to give way, hence why the mine was abanded due to health risk and few deaths in here."

“Weak beams”, spoke Butorega with alarm. He had been in a cave in before. Luckily for him the amount of dirt over their heads was shallow; probably the main reason for the cave in, but being stuck underground was still not a good feeling. A worrisome expression crossed his face, but it was soon replaced with his normal wolfish grin.
“Right”, spoke the brigand as he looked around. He saw the way victor earlier and began to go down the hall. “Hopefully he is not too far off.”

Lisa would go with Butorega to find Victor. They have been walking for almost 15 minuets into further and further of the mine. The further they went, the dimmer the light became. Finally, they heard a voice say. "You two better stop or you'll end the same fate as he did."
An Iron sword came out of the shadows aiming towards a hole that was almost 3 feet away from them. Surprisingly, it was actually hard to see it. When looked into it, the site of the Myrmidon was laying bent inhalf over a few pointy rocks aiming up. It was a natural death trap. Soon, Victor followed from the shadows. "So I'm guessing the Paladin is either dead or he ran away? But from the blood on both of you, I'm guessing you just decided to masacre him." Victor smiled while shaking his head.
Lisa didn't say a word. She stayed silent the whole time while walking back towards the entrance of the mine. Everyone could tell that she was still trying to get use to this new chest plate as she kept adjusting the straps every now and then.

“Good to see you still alive”, spoke Butorega. “For a while I thought you might have died. Well I say it is best to just get out of here. Don’t want a cave in to happen”, finished Butorega as he turned around and began to down the hall.
"So where are you guys going after we get out?"

Lisa was further ahead since she was lighter then both the two men. As they walked, Victor would reply to Butorega. "It'll take more then one Swordsmen to take me out of the fight. And I'm not sure, might as well go back to the origins of my family roots. Back in Bern. It be up to Lisa if she wants to come with me or if she wants to go on her own. I won't stop her. What about you Buto.?" They were almost a quarter away from the entrance of the mine and still Lisa was out of sight.Victor stopped for a moment and listend. He lifted up his arm to stop the Brigand and had his other hand up with his index finger to his mouth to motion silence.

As Victor and Butorega were talking further in the mine on their way out. Lisa was almost out of the mine. When she felt the cold winter breeze hit her face as she stepped outside, she saw from the corner of her eyes a massive man, a man who was more brutish looking then Butorega. Her eyes examined him and saw that he carried a Massive axe which was sitting in his hands, the iron head resting on the cold path. The man had a Steel helmet which had two Bull horns going upwards off the helmet. A steel Pauldron on his right shoulder with two steel gauntlets on. His breath was seen as he lifted up his axe and rested it on his right shoulder saying outloud, "You and your band of bandits or heroes, whatever you are killed my men and my twin brother. So, I see it like this. A, I can kill you first then whoever else in there next. B, Fight all of you at the same time, or the last choice....I let you guys off for now. Either way, I will repay the blood you have shed for which is Mine." His voice had an accent, like one who's been on the sea's for so long. THe massive man was a Beserker by class.
When her allies were closer towards the entrance and had stopped. She'd pick up her lance and slam it back down which made a loud BANG through the mine. Almost an alert like sound to warn them that they still werent' alone. THe beserker shook his head as he walked towards her with his axe ready to strike.

“Me I don’t know”, spoke Butorega. “I probably return to Bern and find some trouble to get into. You probably guessed it by now, but I get involved with a lot of mess. I take great enjoyment in the fight.” Butorega was about to say something else when a sound began to ring threw the hall.
“Looks like the fight is not over yet”, spoke Butorega as he rushed toward the entrance. As Butorega came forward he saw a man of very large standing. It was quite surprising for the brigand. The man was larger than himself which was quite a feat. Butorega took one good look at the man and knew immediately he was not friendly. Without another word the brigand charged. With his axe at the ready he swung with both arms on his axe.
The sound of metal clashing against metal filled the air and rang threw the empty mine. Butorega’s axe clashed with the Beserkers. To Butorega great surprise he lost that clash. The orange hair brigand was thrown back a couple of feet, and to make it worse his opponent was only using one hand. Sweat began to run down the Butorega’s face as a very strange feeling began to rise in his stomach. It was the first time he had felt this in many years. Butorega looked at his hand and noticed it was shaking. This was fear.
“I am scared”, spoke Butorega with great surprise as he looked up at the titanic figure. Butorega hated cowards; no it was better to say he despised cowards. Fear was the cowards emotion, and the fact that he was scared meant he was a coward. Something changed inside of the brigand as he stared at his hand. He looked once more back at the beserker and began to stare at his face. Anger ignited inside of his stomach consuming the fear and erupting into a great fire storm of rage and hatred.
“Buuutttooorreeeeggaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa”, shouted Butorega as he charged back in again!

As the two axe wielding men were fighting Victor came out with his sword drawn again. After a sigh, he charged in, but it was a little late for Butorega was sent flying through the air and into the Mercenary. After rulling Butorega off him, Victor would get up and charge in. His sword trying to hit his mark which was the chest and legs. But each time he attacked, his sword was stopped by the massive axe of the man. Finally, the Beserker grabbed Victor's arm in which held his sword and began to swing him like a doll. When he let go, the Mercenary went flying as Butorega had, but this time his hit the wall of the mountain.
Lisa lifted up her lance and began to examin this mighty raider of strenght and Endurance. Her eyes stayed on the axe to see if she could see a maker's mark. When she did, she was surprised. It was her father's mark on the blade of the mighty Axe. She stepped forward and would say to him, "Raider of Bern, please hear me out since you wield an Axe my father has made you. You seem to have been a mighty soldier of Bern and I beg you, as the daughter of a dead smith and the Daughter of Bern. Spare our lives since we were only protecting our home." The Beserker stopped his assault and stared at the young female who was not even a few paces away from him. She knew he could have killed her easily on the spot. But, his axe was go back to the ground and rest.
"Daughter of Mr. Aurora, I yield the assault on you and your companiens. If it wasn't for this young female, ou both would be on the bottom of that cliff. May your travels bare many fortunes and a life of wealth and prosparity." After those brief words, the Beserker left the three of them their into the darkness. The only thing she did now was collapsed to her knee's. Her body was shaking since she was staring down death.

“What in the world”, spoke Butorega with surprise as the Berserker simply gave up. Butorega looked at Lisa and then back at the raider walking away. He wanted to attack, but his logic told him not too. Still Buotrega’s pride was injured. To loss in a battle so easily against a opponent. His pride could not bear it.
“Berserker”, shouted Butorega as he walked out of the cave. “I am Buotrega of Littlerock and a son of Bern. My grandfather is Alexander of Littlerock a old soldier to the late king. I ask of your name that I might retrieve my honor one day!”

"Alexander of Littlerock....the soldier of death, the Axe murder. Mankind killer,Alex the Butcher. I know of 'his." The Beserker came back, but this time, he was running at full speed. Before Butorega was able to lift his axe again, he was against the wall and he could feel the massive blade on his stomach. "IF 'ou want to live mate, you better hold ye steel. I see the same burning in your eyes as did Ol' Alex the Butcher. We both were soldiers of Bern, but his methods were Brutal. Not just men, but those weakier died as well. Now if it wasn't for the fact your Grandfather saved me life, I would fille you Alive."
He let the Brigand go, letting him fall to the ground landing on his butt. The Beserker still had his axe trained on Butorega. If he dared lift his axe, the Beserker would strike faster then death would be arriving. "Ye' want your Honor and ye' wants a rematch. Then Fine by me. You can call me the Sea Serpent of Bern. I will be watching over you Butorega, Grandson of Alexander the Butcher." Just like before, he vanished in the solem of Darkness. Lisa heard everything and saw everything. Her eyes were wide like two massive Sapphires.

“The Butcher huh”, spoke Butorega as he stared at the man as he vanished. “Never heard that one before, me and gramps are going to have a long conversation the next time I meet him.” Butorega stopped and turned toward Lisa who seemed to be staring.
“What gotten into you”, spoke the Brigand. “It is not your first encounter with death. Though I have to admit”, spoke Butorega as he spit on the ground. “It was the first time I have ever been trumped so easily. I have to sharpen my axe and build up my muscle before our next meeting.” Butorega paused for a moment and began once again on what he was saying before. “I don’t think it will be yours or my last time.”

She didn't say anything. She slowly stood up with the aid of her lance and brushed the snow and dirt off her legs. Looking over her shoulder, she saw Victor slowly getting up to as he groaned at how much that really sucked. The blue eyes looked at where teh village was and saw that it was now a full torrent inferno now. No buildings surviving the blaze. Walking up to it a bit, she would simply shake her head at the sight. Everything that everyone in the village owned was now gone. The only thing she had left was the clothes and armor on her back and the lance in her hand. "I guess we need to move out soon before more thieves who get idea's show up to raid what is left. Victor, can we go back to Bern now? I'm getting tired of the cold."
Victor walked up behind her and replied to her question. "Yeah, we will leave at once. Buto., if you ever need a place to stay, your more then welcome to stay with us. Me and Lisa are heading to the Wyvern's Claw Village. Hopefully we can start a new again without worries. But I get the feeling in my bones that this is only the first of many to happen in these lands."
After collecting themselves and preparing to leave, Victor went up to the Brigand and handed to him back his bottle of Rum. After saying their good byes, Victor and lisa went on. But lisa went running to Buto and hugged him. Whispering to him, "Thank you for saving my life mighty Brigand, son of Bern." She ran back to Victor and on they went. There new destitnation, Wyvern's Claw of Bern.
