Name: Augustus Nacht
Class: Druid
Hair Color: Green
Eye Color: Red
Age: 28
Appearance:
Nacht stands at a height of around 6', give or take an inch or two. His green hair is wild and unkempt, drifting all over the place on his head down to just below his shoulders. The Druid is surprisingly fit for a mage, showing that he does some sort of exercise. Though his face seems to remain inordinately pale, his torso is tanned from his habit of not bothering with wearing a shirt. That being said, he has a few noticeable scars on his chest and holds an overall rather wild look about his presence.
-Clothes:
Nacht holds a simple style of dress that shows the wear and tear of time. He wears a great black overcoat most of the time that is frayed in various places and even cut a couple of times in various spots. He wears a pair of trousers with a belt that are much in the same frayed sort of condition as his coat, and his boots show the dust and mud of the road. He also wears a golden piece of jewelry around his head, a touch odd for the unkempt appearance.
UPDATE
Nacht also has a more "formal" attire when in his "Reaper Shephard" persona. Dressed in fine black silks with a voluminous cloak, he wears a featureless white mask that adds an extra sort of menace to his presence.
Born in: Bern
Story:
Augustus Nacht is the 7th son of a 7th son. The bottom of the totem pole in his family, Nacht watched his elder siblings go off to join the Bernese Military one by one. Solider, Fighter, Myrmidon or Wyvern Rider, the Nacht family produced loyal warriors of Bern. Augustus Nacht was not exactly one of these. Instead of the heavily martial inclination that the rest of his family showed, Augustus favored the magical arts. More specifically, he took a liking to Elder Magic. And to Augustus, it came naturally. With a gifted talent for Elder Magic, his parents decided to go ahead and encourage Augutsus' pursuit of magical power. After all, a man with the talent for Elder Magic always proved to be a good counter to magical foes.
However, Augustus Nacht didn't join the Bern Military after he'd become a practiced Shaman. No, Augustus threw in his lot with the Bandit King, Hargus. And so the Shaman rode with the Bandit King's men burning and pillaging and perfecting his arts. With no small amount of pleasure himself for the kill. When the infamous Bandit War started reaching it's end, Augustus was working his way up the ladder to a position of power that offered much from the Bandit King for his loyal subordinates. However, it was with the fall of Hargus that the war came to an abrupt end and the Bandits scattered to the four winds. Augustus managed to keep himself low and inconspicuous after the War's end, but worked ever harder to keep up with his arts.
5 years passed and for 5 years, Augustus Nacht studied ever more Elder Magic, plunging into forgotten ruins of civilizations past to find his answers. Fighting a couple of chasers now and then, as well as some monsters in more recent times to do so. Augustus pursued his desire for power all over Elibe, careful to stick to himself and avoid most folks. In time he acquired the power of Nosferatu, using it to suck the very life out of his victims and replenish himself. It was a rather addictive sort of magic that kept him feeling young and healthy, as well as fulfilling a rush he'd long desired to recover. With war breaking out in Bern once more Augustus Nacht, the Shaman turned Druid after years of research and practice, threw in his lot with the Bernese Rebels. During a brief skirmish, he acquired the warhorse of a deceased Paladin and has since managed to tame the beast for himself. Though he isn't as skilled as the usual Mage Knight or even Troubadour, Augustus enjoys riding the horse he's renamed "Midnight", a feisty black steed.
As things currently stand though, Augustus has been looking more into Monsters than combat. While he still aids his fellow rebels on occasion, the Druid has devoted his time to researching and following up leads. With the presence of more and more Dragons of late, he believes there is some correlation, though hasn't found a Dragon to speak with about it for rather obvious reason given what happened to one of the last Dragons to make himself public. Instead, Augustus has been looking into finding other researchers to aid with his quest to find out more about these monsters. With the constant threat they pose, he believes it important to find out as much as they can as quickly as they can before the Monsters pose an even greater threat to Elibe, especially with the current outbreaks of hostilities. He enjoys them, but he'd rather stay alive to enjoy them too.
UPDATE
Augustus Nacht had proceeded to return to the old Ruinz Hideout in order to find a mystical tome that he believed would be the key to gaining all that he desired. In the course of the matter, he would meet the ghost of Hargus and the Bandit King would give him the parting words of the key to his resurrection. Nacht would then proceed to go on a spree of murder, claiming the souls of many innocent victims and bringing back to the fold a former soldier named Georg and a Sacaen woman named Saleena from the Ruinz in order to expedite the process. After acquiring enough souls, the Bandit King would be reborn.
This event led to an invasion upon Sacae by a ragtag group of bandits, pirates, and vilesome mercenaries upon the City of Heroes in what would become a rather legendary Siege. Led by Bandit King Hargus and "The Reaper Shephard" as Nacht had come to be called, the Siege would ultimately culminate in a triumph for the City's defenders, but only after a vile army of the undead appeared from the usage of dark magic by Hargus. The Reaper was nowhere to be seen after Hargus' defeat, having escaped from the battlefield along with two of the other bandit commanders.
As things stand, his current sights are set upon the recently discovered isle and what secrets it may hold.
