'Oya", shouted the woman as she rushed up and hugged him. The expression on Oya's face only grew more worrisome as she grabbed him. "Oya I missed you so much", she spoke as she began to hug him close. "I thought something had happened to you since you did not write", spoke the woman.
"No I am fine", spoke Oya as he tried to escape. The woman's grip was too strong for the young pirate. Her grip started to get even stronger as as she continued to speak.
"Did I not tell you to write me when you reached the main land", she spoke as she tighten her grip. "Did I not tell you to send me another letter after a week", she stared to speak with an elevated tone. Now her hug had shifted from being a warm greeting too a back crunching bear hug. "Did I not tell you to write me another letter at the end of the first month", she was now shouting.
"Ahh, your hurting me", spoke Oya as he struggled to break free, but to no avail.
"Of course I am hurting you", spoke Oya's mother as she tighten her grip. "What else are you suppose to do when you are punishing your son. She tighten it even more till crushing him under the power of her arm muscles. Just when oya could take no more she released and allowed him to hit the ground.
Oya his the stone and began to gasp for air. "Mother I can", spoke Oya as his mother delivered a kick to his side.
"No excuses", she shouted. "Do you have any idea how worried I was about you. Do you have any idea how many night I spent wondering if you would come back home one day. I even started back drinking because of you", she shouted.
"Sorry mother", spoke Oya. The woman restrained her wrath and allowed Oya to get back on his feet.
"Whatever", spoke Oya's mother as she turned her attention to Willow. "Who is this woman", she asked.

"Um... I'm Willow... I'm a Valkyrie... I... Uh..." Willow stammered.
Couldn't Oya do something about this? Oh, wait, he was laying on the floor... incapacitated...
"Oya and I are traveling together."

"Oh", spoke Oya's mother as she walked up to Willow. She placed her right hand on Willow's shoulder and gave a little smile. "Thank you for taking care of my foolish son. I know he must have caused you a great amount of trouble with his vindictive ways".
"Hey I am not vindictive", spoke Oya. He finally got his baring back. The pirate did not want anymore tension in him and Willow's relationship. Sure he enjoyed getting people back for what they did to him, but he did not consider himself vindictive. His mother was taking things a bit too far for his liking.
"Do you need another hug", spoke Oya's mother. The pirate grew silent as she continued to speak. "So what has the little scamp been up to since he has left my sight, and don't spare the embarrassing stuff either", spoke the woman in a cheerful tone.

"Erm. Well, he really isn't anything less than a joy to travel with.
I first met him in Mark's Town. There was a huge commotion, and I got sick from Sea Fever... Afterward, the town was burned, and we had to flee. That's how I met Oya.
We traveled for a while, and I learned how to survive in the field from him. It was fun, bivouacking and just being out in the elements, you know?
And then we got to Little Rock, where I met Yashi and heard of the great Butorega. Sadly, I didn't get to see him. But it was a nervewracking experience.
Finally, Oya decided we should come see you, and so we were sailing when your pirate band attacked me... Needless to say, I was a BIT surprised.
And now... Now we're here.

"Sea fever", spoke Oya's mother with surprise. Surprise that it was so far inland and surprised that Willow was still alive. "You are lucky Oya was around. Sea fever can kill quick. In fact my Oya almost lost his own life to that illness. Looks like first hand experiences had taught him well." Oya's mother listen to the rest of Willow's story, but stopped at the last portion of her tale.
"My pirate band", spoke Oya's mother with surprise. A serious look crossed her face as she heard Willow's words. "Oya", shouted the pirates mother as she turned toward the lad. Oya had recovered from his mother's last assult and was looking on with a bit of nervousness.
"Yes mother", spoke the pirate. He still was not sure how he was going to tell her that he and Willow were together.
"Where you attacked by the Ship of the Drowned", she asked. It was not that she did nto trust Willow's words, but rather she wanted more than one account of the event.
"Most definitely", spoke Oya. "Farkus and Troy were leading the ship. They assaulted the transport vessel stole the goods and sailed off."
"Those idiots", shouted Oya's mother. Anger could be seen on her face. "How many times have I told those idiots you do not raid where you set anchor! Thanks to those idiots trade in this region is going to suffer. I swear when I get my hands on them", spoke the piratess as she began to walk towards the door. Oya seeing the opportunity took advantage of her anger.
"Me and Willow are together", spoke Oya as his mother stormed off.
Without breaking a strive she turned around and looked at Oya. "Don't speak the obvious. Of course you two are together. What woman would go through such trouble of comeing all the way to the Iles for a total stranger. Though I don't agree with the age gap I don't really care who you get with Oya, but there better be grandchildren", shouted the woman as she walked out the door!
Oya breathed a sigh of relief. His face however was red from embarrassment. His mother was a sharp one. That was the lest he could say, but it was a bit strange that she did not know about his brother's raid. They must have been sent out for something else, but decided on raiding ships for coin. still that part of his journey was behind him. He knew his mother would return, but for the mean time he needed to talk to Willow. He felt that he kind of let her down in that situation. "Umm... it looks like mother approves", spoke Oya.

"Hehehe" Willow giggled. Oya's mother approved! Forget the age difference, being double someone's age mattered NOTHING when you were in love!
Wait.
What?
Grand...Children?
Willow turned a bright crimson. She opened her mouth as if to talk, but then closed it and reopened it, standing and stammering, completely agape and embarrassed.
"Wait... Well... Wha..."

"Well that is one bump behind us", spoke Oya. His face was still red, but the pirate attempted to play it off. Still he figured it was best to address the issue since his mother brought it up. "As for grand children", spoke Oya as his blush increased even further. "We will worry about that when it comes", spoke the pirate. He turned for a moment to allow himself time to recover.
"Sorry about my family Willow", spoke Oya. "I figured I could not further this relationship unless you meet them. I know they are not the best people in the world, but they still made me. There as much a part of me as my heart and my eyes. Still I can't say I am not glad that this trip is over. So how about we head to Etruria next", spoke the pirate as he gave a bright smile.

"Etruria?"
Oya wanted to go to Etruria?!
What?
Well, it would be nice to go back. It had been a long while since she visited Faresh, her hometown. She'd be interested in seeing if they could stop in. She was certainly excited... Maybe she could introduce Oya to her parents, too.
Honestly, she was quite glad she'd gotten Oya's mother's blessing. Now, there were even fewer obstacles between them. And that made Willow quite happy. Since everything between her and Oya was now in the open, she felt comfortable, safe, and filled with a happiness and joy she'd never known.
"Oya, I forgive your whole family, since your mother was so kind and understanding. As for Etruria... I'd love to go back home!"
Breaking into a wide smile, Willow gave Oya a huge hug, squeezing him and holding him tightly. Things couldn't be better!
