Rembert nodded as Hiro gave him his duties. It would be a rather easy task for him. During his time as a priest in Etruria, he had often been placed in charge of some of the church's logistical duties and it was one of the tasks that he had come to enjoy. Applying that knowledge to an army of this size would be a simple change, requiring little more than a quick count of the healers among them and the strategic value of each group on the battlefield. He made a quick scan of those gathered behind their leader and almost immediately he could tell that only those groups of moderate to extreme importance would be receiving healers. Still, there were perhaps those with magical talent that could be instructed in the ways of the staff once they reached their next destination. For now, all he could do was ride through the crowd and give them their instructions. He wheeled his horse around and, before riding back into the crowd, turned his head towards Hiro. "If need be," he said, "I can be placed on the night watch as well. I may not have the keenest eyes, but my magic would be deadly to any who dare sneak up on us." With that said, he turned back to face forward and urged his horse forward, back into the crowd.

Roin was clearly agitated at the dismissal. "You may get these men and women fired up, but you'd best ensure you don't speak so harshly if you are to lead us...few know your name as is, stranger." It was no threat, but a warning. Roin was not known to many, but as a Sacaen-raised half-blood, he was a simple enough fellow to trust. Looking to the older gentleman, he motioned him to follow along, calling out. "Come on, we will see that the Night Watch is strong across the board with your aid...I can assign some of the later guards to ensure your men of faith survive during any skirmish we may find..."
Roin looked to a man as he brought a horse up, making a face before mounting the creature and sliding his feet into the stirrups. He was a skilled rider, but for the life of him he couldn't aim his blade one bit while doing so. A perk of the plains taught him to ride, but the teachings of his father taught him the sword and bow. With a grasp on the reins, he started over to a large group of soldiers and mages, pointing or motioning them to follow as he spoke a repeated phrase every other moment. "Come along now, we'd best see that we're all prepared for the night watch! Watch your step and move quickly!"
If this was to be his job, he'd do it. Seeing to the safety of willing soldiers was nothing he had known, but he knew of faith to a country. His mother had served Ilia proudly and though he didn't represent it, he could ensure that innocents of the nation didn't die. Mercenaries were the life blood of Ilia, after all, known for their high-quality above all else.

"Yeah, let's get moving," Wein replied with an affirmative nod of his head. He then looked to Hiro and nodded his head again to let the man know he had heard him. "Will do," he said with surety and confidence as he began walking away from the other men. "Hopefully we won't have to steal them." It wasn't that he wouldn't if he had to; Wein had stolen goods for his own survival before, but stealing seven wagons? Fourteen horses? People just didn't have that kind of stuff lying around, so if they took them, that meant they would be actively ruining someone's day, not to mention possibly ruining their life. Hopefully he and Jessica could conveniently come across a supply caravan for Etrurian soldiers. Not a lot to feel bad about raiding that, though unlike the wagon of an innocent trader, supply caravans were heavily guarded. And not to mention the fact that it would be near impossible for just the two of them to commandeer seven different wagons.
Wein shook his head. No point in worrying about it now. They hadn't even left Ilia yet. He could come up with a plan, or at least some ideas, later. For now it was probably best just to get to know his fellow scout. After all, they'd be watching each other's backs, or so he hoped.
"So how do you know mister mystery over there?"

Valcrist was there as he watched this little show of people going up to their 'boss' as it were, listing off their skills and abilities and what they want to do and so on, it felt like he was watching people try to convince someone to give them a job. Like they wanted to be important, like they wanted to be noticed. Valcrist probably should have joined them, but something gave him pause. He already running a bit late in the first place, having needed to get all of his affairs in order in the first place, but it wasn't until he caught up that he had a thought. Did he really need to be noticed? Maybe it would be better if he simply hung back with the rest of the men? He wasn't entirely comfortable with the idea of 'leading' people, nor was he particularly outstanding in many ways. Maybe it would be best to just be another one of the mercs, and that means trying to not stand out. Something not entirely easy since he was darker skinned then almost anyone here, so he stood out quite handily without even trying.
Wein spoke with this Hiro fella, as did many others. He'd speak to Wein later, he seemed to be doing something of importance it seemed. He furrowed his brow as his gaze followed his actions, and was shocked when he saw who he was speaking with. It was Jya, but honestly he just shook his head and looked away at other things. He recognized her, to be sure, but it really wasn't any of his business why she was there. They had parted in Bern and it was clear then that whatever she was involved in she didn't want Valcrist to know, now should be no different. There were others too, a Sacaen by the look of the apparel, he could pick out Sacaen garbs a mile away. There was a man with a staff, probably a healer of some sort. He didn't see non-healers walking around with staves at the least. There was also a incredibly out of place goal with an umbrella that sort of baffled him, but he decided it was better to not think about it or dwell on it, or even acknowledge it exists. Denial is the healthiest way to deal with things after all, right?
So he stood in the crowd with the other mercenaries awaiting what their benevolent overlord would decree. Fidgeting in spot a bit actually, he had a hard time just standing around doing nothing.

The other members of their ragtag team all went off to work on various projects. The green guy went off to work on gathering up people for a night watch while the priestly guy on top of his horse spoke up a bit about it too. And then there was the guy with the bow and lady in green who went off with eachother to scout ahead. Aside from the mass group following them, it was practically just Hiro and Harmonia! And she was holding her so close too! It was super sweet! ♥
"Everyone else has something to do. How about me?" She looked up to the older man, happy smile plastered on her face as usual and mirth in her voice as she wandered what he might have in mind.

Now that everybody else was gone, he had Harmonia alone. Well as alone as one could in a group this size, at least there was nobody talking to the two of them. She had asked for a job, he liked her where she was now, in his arms, so he didn't put much thought into it. Hell, he wasn't going to put much thought into it anyways. He was going to find a way to keep her where she was. "Let's see... So far I know you're good at being cute, cheerful, and cute. You can be like my personal assistant and snuggle bunny." He finished that trying to sound as cute as she spoke, utterly disgusted with himself at this moment as well. He couldn't believe he just spoke like that and called her a 'snuggle bunny'.
Hiro could tell how desperate he was becoming to have a woman on his arm, first he was making out with that little gremlin and groping her the other day, now he was talking like a love struck fool. "Well, that's if you don't have some talent you're hiding from me, my little snuggle bunny." Eck, again with calling her that, not that he didn't find her attractive, just talking like that made him sick.

Rembert followed the green-haired plainsman as he rode off from their leader. The man had said something that sounded vaguely like a threat to Hiro, but the priest decided to wait until they were out of earshot to discuss it. As their horses trotted slowly along he made a few more cursory glances towards the crowd. He spotted a few men and women who bore the signs of some holy order or another and made a mental note to corral them together later so he could begin to organize them. He only hoped that most of them knew how to defend themselves. It would be difficult enough to assign them where they would be needed and it would be an extra weight off of his chest if he knew the men they were assigned to would not have to expend extra energy protecting them. Of course, he had the sinking feeling that would not be the case. Rembert let out a heavy sight, realizing that most of them would not see the end of this. They all knew the risks, however, and would have to face the coming dangers whether they liked it or not.
"That would be wise," Rembert replied, turning in his saddle to face the plainsman. "Also, if we can find any, we should equip any priests standing guard in the Night Watch with torch staves. Of course, they're hard to track down and I doubt any of the stores in this area would have even one," he added with another sigh. Craning his head around, he looked back to see that their leader was deep in conversation with some bizarre looking woman and was definitely out of ear shot. Turning back to his companion, he continued. "You don't think much of our leader, do you?"

Roin was quiet as they moved with a large portion of the early members of the Night Watch, at least until the man had asked him of his opinion of their "leader". Making a mental note about his suggestion of torch staffs, the Sacean looked to him briefly to put on a small frown.
"I hardly think well of any man who arranges an army of a nation without so much as more than a goal ahead of him. Something about him just seems missing, be it a true name or the tale of how he got here. The way he had looked at that woman who said her name was...Jessica, if I recall, was one of hesitation rather than one of immediate recognition..."
Though as they moved, he brought his horse to a quick halt, looking to one man who stood out from the rather still mercenaries nearby. Roin looked to him for a brief moment before finally speaking up and rather quickly dismissing his partner in exchange for going back to his duty. "Why not come along and join the Night Watch, friend? You look handy with a sword and its far better than just standing idly around and waiting for orders."
Roin turned his horse carefully toward a section nearby, moving away from the body of the main group with the small, yet well-comprised group of the Night Watch. It was a mix of inexperienced mercenaries as well as older ones. The half-blood knew better than to take the best from the main group, but rather take a handful and comprise the rest with fresh blood. It would allow the main group to stay equally as effective and allow the young, more inexperienced soldiers to train during the night as well as keep watch. A solid strategy in its own right. As Roin came to a stop, he looked about the group with scanning eyes. No reason to get down from his horse when they army could move at any time, after all.

Jya paused for a minute, trying to think of an answer to Wein’s question. She wanted to tell him the truth, but quite frankly, she wasn’t sure she knew the answer herself. So she shrugged and settled on a lukewarm answer, like most of the time.
“I’m not entirely sure,” she admitted, trying to rack around the back of her head. Hiro didn’t seem all that important compared to some of her longer companion, but here she was, in this rather dangerous situation again. It won’t be long until she kills someone else.
“I think we met before, but I think I’m past the point of no return by this point,” she rambled as she walked her steps as light as she can keep it. No tracks, no traces, safety first. It was funny how things seem to happen. She’ll handle it like always, one step after another, with a heavy dose of “flow with it”.

Well there went that plan. "Yes, sure, that seems fair." He sighed as he responded to the man in green. He wasn't looking for responsibility but whatever y'know, it just sort of found him anyways. Like always. He had a big target painted on him or something, maybe he glowed to other people which would explain why they just sort of seek him out for little to no reason. It didn't matter much, and really it didn't even bother him, but when people spoke of 'magnet for trouble' he never thought they were referring to him.
Valcrist followed with the rest of the mercenaries on the 'night watch', he was contemplating just saying that he was a blacksmith and other things to do then be on watch, but that was stupid since it wasn't true. Not every company he joins needs that particular talent, so he couldn't hide behind it this time. Darn it. Valcrist watched as the man scanned the people up and down like he was appraising a necklace, trying to scan 'worth' and 'honor' and 'skill' and all that junk that Sacaens were obsessed with. He understood their importance, but he simply couldn't find himself agreeing with Sacaen philosophy. Or whatever they'd call it. It's put him at odds with them in the past, he was almost killed in a fight with the chieftan of one of their tribes over it. The smith didn't look it, but he had a surprisingly strong sense of personal morality and righteousness which occasionally put him at odds with people. Or entire countries.
He looked the man in the eye as he walked by, a bit of a bored look in the smith's eyes. It wasn't anything personal, he was just not really excited over this whole endeavor unlike some people. He just wanted to kill Kraft already, or die trying. Most likely die trying, this was kind of a suicidal mission after all. He should try to meet up with Wein later, but he was busy off with Jya doing who knows what. He wasn't a huge fan of meeting new people, but it looked like that's what was going to happen. So suck it up Val, you need to be friendly. He put on a sort of uneasy forced smile as the man looked at him, and waited for him to walk away. To judge another piece of meat as it were.

"Well, that's if you don't have some talent you're hiding from me, my little snuggle bunny."
Hmhmhm~! She did have some! But they were all kinda miscellaneous artsy stuff though, so hmmmm... Oh wait! There was something important that came to mind! She smiled at Hiro, twirling her parasol briefly before looking down at the handle in one of her hands. "Weeell... There is a neat little trick I have." With a brief and small clicking sound, a soft snikkkkt could be heard as the handle of the parasol lowered a bit to reveal the familiar iron of a deadly blade.
"Daddy always told me to be prepared~!"

Hiro wasn't exactly comfortable knowing she had a hidden blade so close to him this whole time, he wasn't sure how far the wanted posters of him ran in Etruria and if she had seen them. If she was able to recognize him from them things could get bad quickly, he was going to have to keep a calm composer since he was in the danger zone without his emerald angel. "Haha, I guess I didn't see that coming. We'll just tell everybody you're my personal assistant but between you and I. You're perfect for the role of body guard, daddy thought you well." Hiro said with a wink. "You do know how to use that thing right? I wouldn't want to see something as precious as you get hurt trying to protect little old me." In all honesty he was hoping to gauge how safe he would be if she did turn out to be some type of spy.

The blonde young lady giggled before replying, "Of course I do! Daddy hired a really good instructor!" Granted, the Bernese sellsword that took up the job was quite bewildered at first by Harmonia, but she was a really good teacher! Taught Harmonia almost everything she knew! "And I like you alot! So I'll protect you extra well! ♥" The young girl remained as perky and happy as ever, quite true in her words. Ooooo, maybe she'd even have some fun with him later too! For the time being, she simply flashed Hiro her usual content smile.

Well, that may not be good for him if she was sent here to kill him. But it was quite the addition to his harem if she truly meant what she had said about wanting to keep him safe. f**k it, it's been a while and he was actually smokin hot, Hiro leaned in and whispered into her ear... *Sent in a PM*. As he pulled back he gave her a wink. "Now, let's get this show on the road. I'm ready to see Kraft face to face..." As Hiro walked towards the front of the pack he kept his arm around his new play thing he spoke up.
"Listen up, we're starting to march towards Etruria. We'll talk battle plans closer we get to the border. Your names will live on for generations in wealth, let's liberate Etruria and Illia from a possible threat." Fools, every single last one of them. They were truly dogs of war, following their master around in hopes he'd pass them some scraps.

Oh my~!
Harmonia's cheeks flushed a light shade of pink as Hiro whispered into her ear, suggesting something most scandalous. "Hmhmhm~! I'd be happy to!" The young one-eyed beauty replied to her leader, affirming her willingness in what he'd asked. She grew quiet as they started to move faster ahead and turn, showing a confident smile of her own as people began to cheer for the charismatic man.
This man and the route he paved would prove to be very interesting indeed~! She knew she made a good choice when she decided to follow after this odd ragtag group. She knew it'd be really really interesting! Harmonia wasn't disappointed yet, either.
